Description

This year’s edition Cartier Baiser Vole, builds upon the oriental, mighty and passionate kiss of the dragon (Le Baiser u Dragon), announcing a more sophisticated approach and composition. The emphasis is on the game of excitement and anticipation.

Mathilde Laurent, who composed the notes, is responsible for tempting stolen kisses of Baiser Vole release. The story of pure passion is told by the ultra feminine essences of rare and elegant lily flower. The scent is announced as intensively floral, fresh and powdery.

With the first drop of fragrance, we encounter the scented pistils of the lily, the heart beats with refined and elegant lily petals, while the base notes offer green leaves of lily. The fragrance is available in an elegant glass bottle with golden stopper.

The range offers perfume water as 30, 50 and 100 ml and roll on perfume accompanied by a collection of body care products: body lotion 200ml, shower gel 200ml and deodorant spray 100ml. Baiser Vole fragrance is presented in 2011.

Much too dry for my taste. The initial first smell had me turn my nose in disgust. Old lady soap was my first take. For 3 or 4 days I would sniff it & put it down. Tried on my wrist and immediately washed it off. Checked the label to make sure I did, in fact, have the same perfume so many others rave about. Sharp green top notes-check. Fresh lily notes-check. Big bouquet of flowers-sorta check, though very artificial. Creamy powdery dry down-check. Final analysis: still old lady soap, at least for my body chemistry. I don’t get the sweetness out of it at all.

This is very flowery, slightly sweet and dry. It reminds me of seashell shaped decorative soaps. Or a Crabtree and Evelyn hand cream or bath fizz. But it is more than that. It is pretty and complex.
It makes me think of pastels and early summer mornings, when it is still slightly cool but you can tell, with the sun rising, it will be a hot day. For some reason, I am taken back to vacation times spent in North Carolina in the Outer Banks.
Its dry down becomes a beautiful rounded out lily.

    This is absolutely sublime.
The opening is evocative of crisp greenery and foliage moistened by a light shower of rain, along with nuances of soil and peppery, fresh spiciness that is redolent of Ostara, but less astringent, aromatic and aggressive. The opening was challenging for me initially—so much so that I strongly favoured the Essence de Parfum—but I’ve come to appreciate its different facets and beauty even more so than the aforementioned flanker.
The initial verdancy and spiciness is quite fleeting however, and it’s mere minutes before the wearer is introduced to the most idyllic, refined and deliciously creamy lily, stamen and all. It’s delicate and understated, yet lush and unabashedly feminine. There’s a definite hint of smooth, sweet powder that compliments the creamy floralcy of the lily. This is how the fragrance performs for the remainder of its wear.
In comparison to Essence de Parfum, the original Baiser Volé is creamier, cooler and presents more facets, rendering it slightly more complex. The greenery and peppery nuances are almost nonexistent in the Essence flanker, instead replaced by a plasticky, “yellow” opening and an enveloping, boozy vanilla with a fluffy, cozy texture that progressively becomes more powdery and sweet as the fragrance develops. The “lilies and toasted marshmallows” description hits the nail right on the head.
Longevity is moderate to long lasting, but sillage and projection are very soft and intimate. I’d prefer a more distinctive presence from this beauty, but that’s simply because I tend to gravitate towards powerhouses. This one is so beautiful, however, that it’s an exception to the rule. Truly, utterly divine.

I bought a .5 oz size of this because I fell hard for Baiser Vole Essence, and wanted to test the source and inspiration for it.
I agree with others that this Spring scent has great longevity but soft projection and sillage. That doesn’t make it a bad perfume in my opinion as I don’t need everyone around me to confirm that what I’m wearing is likable. If I’m enjoying it that will do on most days.
Both the original and Essence are quite linear, only getting softer with time. Baiser Volé is a dryer lily. Essence is more full, rounder and more interesting, and with the addition of vanilla it’s spectacular (a note that doesn’t seem like it belongs with lily).
Both are rather simple, but Baiser Vole feels more serious. It’s still very pretty but I’m in love with her offspring.

Someone sent you flowers, and it’s becoming quite heady in your small office. 🙂 Received a nice-sized sample of this with another order, my first try of a Cartier scent. Oh, I wish I’d had this in the spring. Pure fresh creamy flowers with a slight tint of crushed sticks and leaves on the back. The rest of this is going onto a scarf I will wear to let the fresh flowers linger near my face all day. Pink is the right color for this juice.
I thought the price would be shockingly high, but it was not. Now I am curious about other Cartier scents. I had never even noticed this brand before and assumed it was only a high end find, not accessible for the likes of a librarian like me, lol.
I have had to buy more, even though I am a floral woody musk and floriental girl — for some reason, I could not get enough of this. Katie Puckrik says it eventually goes to Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific, and maybe that is it! Nostalgia!
Check out the bottle — the cap comes up like a lighter! Just so adorable.

Very classy lily soliflore. Happy and sad at the same time, it can remind me of either a wedding or a funeral. This is a photorealistic lily scent. Sillage is soft but lasting power is amazing. I love the bottle–true to Cartier’s jeweler heritage.
No, I don’t have the urge to buy a bottle, at least not yet.

I often write two reviews for each scent; the second review normally after wearing the scent a couple of times. So here we go for Cartier Baiser Vole.
This is (don’t be too surprised) a strong lily soliflore. This is so photorealistic, nothing else will compare to this in terms of lily. It’s natural and extremely fresh smelling, a linear scent, only becoming a tad softer in the drydown.
I do not like this sprayed on paper or in the air, it’s just too much for me. Also it gives me a grandma vibe, I am biased though as my grandmother is big on lily scents. She would adore this. But on my skin it becomes more forgiving and a bit creamier and that way I love this. It screams class to me – in the sense that it’s the epitome of a classy scent to me, it never actually screams, it’s very polite. Just like a classy lady. I don’t find this an everyday scent, not for me at least. It’s too sophisticated for that and on my ‘slob days’ I wouldn’t dare wearing this; I wouldn’t feel worthy.
This is such a beauty. Simplistic but masterfully done, very classy, polite, time- and effortless. I could imagine Audrey Hepburn wearing this. I know she wore Spring Flower and English Promenade which are nothing like this, but I mean more in a sense that this would fit her simple yet elegant style to a T.
It’s a very light scent, sillage is about arm’s length, longevity – on me at least – is incredible. This survives showers on me, even if I scrub the spots where I’ve sprayed it.
I’m very glad I have this in my collection.

It’s nice to mix this soft but intriguing fragrance with Jo Malone’s Blackberry and Bay.

Quiet lily. This is not going to give you any projection or sillage. Although it is a beautiful lily scent, I have to admit the comparisons to sun screen or perhaps face cream are apt.
Interesting to experience, but not worth buying IMO.

  10. :

    4 out of 5

Fresh, dewy, austere, glistening lily and greens. I find it kinda wonderful, but I’m not sure it’s “me.” I may decide to include it in my collection after all, though…
I find a lot of contradictions here. It’s youthful yet melancholy, fresh & vibrant but self-possessed. Beautiful but sad… yet also makes me feel weirdly hopeful? This feels like a fragrance for someone who’s got a serious side, with an understated loveliness. It’s not a party-girl perfume at all.
I get the comparisons to a funeral scent, since lilies are a funeral flower. But this is more than that. It doesn’t remind me of death, it’s somehow just quiet, understated, and self-aware. And pure.
On me, this fades very quickly. Not sure if I become anosmic or if the longevity is just poor. Not great sillage, either. But this isn’t really a “look at me” perfume. This is more of a “listen to me” perfume.

This has been on my radar, I like green/powdery/vintage type scents now, and I luckily got a sample with an order so I didn’t have to blind buy. (the EDP)
I was very excited to try this, and I wanted to love it. Good reviews, and the fact it’s called a “funeral” scent made me happy since I’m an old goth and I LOVE the show Six Feet Under and wish I belonged to the Fisher family. lol…
Well, this is nice. But I’m not blown away. I do get a very light, clean, simple floral/powder/tiny bit green. Yes, a very elegant soap. It’s not what I had hoped for, but I like it. Just not enough to buy a full bottle.
    Yet. Haha.
I wonder if the EDT would be more my thing because it’s greener? Or the Essense because it’s stronger?

This wasn’t love at first sniff.. but somehow it turned into a love affair.
Baiser Vole is magnificent. It needs some time to warm up.. but once it does, I can’t stop sniffing my wrist.
It’s soft, elegant and maybe a little bit unusual. It’s powdery but never too sweet. It has a lovely warmth to it, that is not comparable to all these gourmand scents out there.
I imagine a very effortlesss, gentle woman wearing this fragrance. She knows what she is doing and where she is going. She doesn’t care about the superficial, but always has a heart of gold. She’s gentle but she’s fierce.
Even on a hot summer’s day this isn’t cloying. It has a floral freshness that is hard to describe. The sillage is soft but present. A skin scent that gives off this feminine, ethereal aura around you.
Could make for an awesome signature scent.
It becomes a part of you.
This gets a love from me.

Powdery sweet lily reminiscent of Marc Jacob’s Daisy. Daisy makes me uneasy though so it’s a sad thing I got two bottles of this baby. Nevertheless, Baiser Volé is an elegant, spring-y scent that can really be a mood lifter.

Nah , such a dissapointment on my skin that is. Had high hopes but now I only smell Kenzo Flower and it doesnt last and just fades away very quick.
But for summer a fresh fragrance .

  15. :

    5 out of 5

I prefer better Baiser Vole Essence de Parfum.
Essence de Parfum smells of pure Easter lily (Lilum longiflorum.
Eau de Parfum is more “washing powdery”. It smells like mix of Easter lily and Calla lily (Zantedeschia aethiopica), scent of florist shop with the freshness of washing powder.

My husband got this for me. I would have never gotten it for myself. I rarely use it but I dont hate it. To me it smells sophisticated, for date nights. I do not get the lilly scent, it smells like a maturer woman. Not my favorite, it is a bit overpowering … do not get a flowery scent at all ! This bottle will last me for ages !

  17. :

    4 out of 5

This scent represents simplicity and minimalism, yet it is whole, full and rich, perfect and complete. The whole flower of Lily recreated in a miraculous, magical way, and locked up in the most beautiful bottle. This is a white scent, powdery, almost milky, soft and close to the skin, yet very long lasting and haunting, just like the flower of lily itself. <3

  18. :

    3 out of 5

Baiser Vole acts so strangely on me. There’s not the slightest hint of lily. If the citrus and green is there, it’s totally blended in.
What I get is a vaguely yeasty smell reminiscent of Serge Lutens Jeux de Peau. Before I looked at the notes, I honestly thought Cartier was going for bread and cream.
I’m a little disappointed now. I like citrus and greens quite a bit, and I’d be willing to try them mixed with lily. Skin chemistry strikes again, I guess.

  19. :

I was very intrigued by this one and finally got to try it, both skin and on paper( small sample).
While it is very dewy realistic lily and delicately powdery it felt missing something to my nose. Too dry perhaps? Like a florists refrigerated shop but after a while, goes down to vague powderiness. I would wear this for Easter, in early spring, or if I wanted someone to think I’m a classy refined lady( I’m not that refined).
If you love this one and many of you do( for me it’s a solid like) I suggest trying Geurlain Aqua Allegoria Lys Solea. It’s like Baiser Vole but with a bit of sweetness/ vanilla which I find makes it absolutely perfect. But this one is for those who don’t want sweetness in their floral cause let’s be honest there’s a plethora of stabbings around.
    I give this 8/10.

    Tested it today. Twice.
I do not like the head. It’s a very fresh lily, but there’s something TOO fresh in there, like mint really. It’s almost like toothpaste, but not quite strong enough for that, more like a very strong cup of mint tea. As it dries down, the lily comes to the forefront, but in the beginning it’s still too fresh. It reminds me of air freshener.
But then, during the heart phase, it softens and morphs into a gorgeous, photo realistic lily. The more it dries down, the softer it gets and the more I find myself intensely reminded of Dior’s ‘Dolce Vita’, paired with the creamy aspect of Guerlain’s ‘L’Instant’.
It really is like a very simplified version of ‘Dolce Vita’; staying in line with the joy of that scent, the light-heartedness, the creamy sweetness, a joie de vivre. If Dior had launched this and called it ‘Dolce Vita – Eau Légère’ nobody would’ve bat an eye and its ‘Reminds me of’-list would have had ‘Dolce Vita’ in the first spot.
As I’ve said, I don’t like the head and the first half of the heart, but the scent it becomes, I can be friends with.
If I had to think of an image, I’d think of a typical young Parisienne – a real one, not the beret and Breton-shirt wearing, chain smoking stereotype that comes to mind when hearing the term ‘Parisienne’. She didn’t mean to spend the night at her boyfriend’s, but did so anyway, even though she had to work in the morning and of course they forgot to set an alarm. Her blouse has a red wine stain on it from the night before, so she wears last night’s slacks and borrows a clean, white buttoned shirt from her boyfriend’s closet, which is much too large for her. But – as always – she still manages to look effortlessly chique, with her tousled locks and simplistic outfit that had to be quickly improvised, because she was already running late for work. This is what that girl would smell like.
Longevity is good, but it does become more of a skin scent in the base. Sillage is also great, definitely not beast mode; polite but present enough to get noticed. I can’t imagine this offending anyone.

This is heavenly beautiful!! I am wearing this today, and I just cannot believe how realistic this fragrance is. It makes me feel so pristine & elegant even while wearing my nursing scrubs lol. Smells like a floral shop which I have always loved. This fragrance makes me want to fill rooms in my home with bouquets of lilies. Stargazer lilies are my favorite flower, but this is ACCURATE Calla Lilies.. I’m in love 🙂

On paper this seemed to be a safe buy for me, but alas, on my skin it smells like hairspray. I get the other references to medicine, funeral and sunscreen.
Will still try the other Cartier’s though 🙂

Upon choosing my first Cartier perfume, I was looking at Baiser Vole at first, since many people on the internet rave about this one: Faminine, Elegance and Dress In White.
Give a test spray on my skin, it’s the pepper rose first, then it turns out to be a nightmare for me, rotten lily and wet soil. Not giving up yet, then the dry down, should be something creamy like expensive facial cream, like someone here mentioned, turns out like plastic ware melts under the hot sunlight.
Oh! Baiser Vole doesn’t suit my skin chemistry. Mind you, the tester is brand new.
I once smell Baiser Vole on someone else. That woman who wore it was some business woman or office lady wearing a light grey or cream suit. Straight hair tied into a ponytail.

  24. :

    3 out of 5

I don’t get lily, citrus or green which I love by the way, I get gorgeous creme fresh, lol. I have to say I do love it, blind buy, glad I did it. It’s sophisticated yet creamy sweet not stomach turning sweet. Unexpectedly lovely, I can’t wait to wear it after a shower, reminds me a bit of expensive shampoo, please don’t take that as a bad thing 🙂

  25. :

    4 out of 5

I frequently have to be careful with white florals. Some like me, but when it’s bad it’s usually very bad. I was hesitant when I tried this at first for that reason, but this is a lily I can get along with, Naturalistic, green, classic floral it’s definitely a lily bomb in its own right, but not cloying or super heady or a mega sillage bomb. Nicely done and perfect for spring. However, the more I wear this the more it does seem a little more girly girl than I am, and still therefore seems to wear me a little. I do tend to be more of a spicy/woody/chypre/oriental lover overall. A really nicely done lily though!

  26. :

    3 out of 5

Silky soft, ethereal lilies! This was such a pleasant surprise for me. I was expecting something mild and powdery clean, maybe even a bit ‘barely there.’ What I got was a surprisingly fresh green, yet smooth floral, with crisp opening followed by very realistic lily upon lily! The dry down is lovely – so much creamier than the note profile suggests, which is my favourite part. The silage is pretty low key, but the longevity on me is excellent! There’s something timeless and gracefully evocative about Baiser Vole. It smells simple, elegant and beautiful.

  27. :

    5 out of 5

Loving this fragrance for spring time. It teleports me to a garden centre (I love the smell of garden centres). There is an animalic touch beneath it.

  28. :

    4 out of 5

Baiser Vole is quite popular on here, but I always overlooked it and thought it would be boring. Luckily, I got a sample of this with a purchase and had the chance to correct myself! It’s really beautiful!
The lily note in this is really naturalistic. It starts green, like a whole flower with its stem, which is something I usually don’t care for, but it works here. Maybe because lily is a bit colder smelling than my usual favorite florals and the green seems harmonic in this composition.
The scent also has a peppery edge, just like real lilies have.
But when it dries down, it becomes even better – dreamy, creamy, a little powdery, still cool, but a little warmer than the start, with a very light floral sweetness and very white smelling (if that makes any sense to you). It’s never screechy. The longer it is on the skin, the better it gets.
Baiser Vole is an elegant, ladylike perfume, but also versatile. It could work as a calm and cool work fragrance, as a springtime floral or in the crisp air on a snowy winter day. It could also come across innocent (because of the pure floral smell) or dark (because the use of lilies as funeral flowers), depending on the wearer’s style and personality.
I’m so glad I got this sample.

This is a lovely and elegant composition of Lily
and citrus. Lasts all day and is not overpowering.
Nice flacon as well. I would give this perfume by Cartier 5 stars.

I blind bought this at T.J. Maxx and upon trying it, my first reaction was that is smells very similar to another perfume I have, VV Platinum Roberto Verino for women. Both of them have a little bit of a Jessica McClintock vibe. After Baiser Vole dried down, it turned into a big powder puff on my skin (I’m realizing fragrances tend to do this on me if they are the least bit powdery). For me, it’s slightly sweet, still bitter floral that’s more dry than wet. I was hoping for the fruit and florals or flower shop impression, but unfortunately I’m mostly getting pollen. I can understand the other comparisons made to face cream or sunscreen. Absolutely no citrus whatsoever. This is pleasant but not what I was hoping for. I recently tried Cartier Panthere and enjoyed that one more.
EDIT: Wearing for a few hours, this is developing similarities to the powder note in Boucheron Jaipur Saphir.

Imagine the most expensive face cream money can buy—that’s basically this scent. It’s elegant, sophisticated, powdery and smells moisturizing for some reason. I like it and the bottle is very cool. I get lilies throughout—but these are damper, greener, less ripe and less sweet. It’s very sophisticated and a touch powdery—perfect as a day scent for someone wishing to exude polish, poise and ÉLÉGANCE. This is a lady who wears pearls, not diamonds.

  32. :

I tried to make this my Easter/funeral scent because everyone said it smelled of lilies. I have tried and tried with this one.
    I don’t get lilies. I get sunscreen.
I will be suggesting this anytime someone wants a summertime scent with a sunscreen note.

  33. :

I’m having a hard time enjoying this perfume after reading the funeral home comments. Maybe it’s because I had doubts about this perfume already. It wasn’t the case when I first bought it. I thought it was super gorgeous, sophisticated, and complex. But for some reason it’s not helping my vibe. It’s definitely not something a siren would wear as it seems to repel people with its coldness. I feel like this perfume makes its wearer appear unobtainable, and not in the coveted kind of way. It’s not to say this perfume smells bad. It actually smells fantastic. I just don’t like the frigid impression it creates. Not sure what to do with my bottle anymore.

  34. :

    3 out of 5

The perfect fresh, green lily scent! Spring and white elegant dresses come to mind when I smell this. Very graceful, feminine and pure!
Unfortunately my skin really makes this turn sour. However, it is such a beauty sprayed on curtains in the spring with the gentle breeze rolling in! Lasts 11+ hours on fabric. Such a shame my skin hates this!

  35. :

    3 out of 5

Baiser Vole is an excellent choice for a “clean” fragrance without the shower-fresh vibe. It stays pure and crystalline without veering soapy.
The lillies do not have that funeral parlour vibe. The citrus is just present enough to keep it from being sterile. This fragrance is warm rather than cool. Something in the drydown faintly reminds me of L’Heure Bleue but greener. I really like how this scent encapsulates the entire essence of flowers, including the pollen and the stems. The powderiness shows up faintly in the drydown; this must be what is triggering LHB in my mind. It is not what I would call a “powdery” perfume, though.
I like this quite a bit.

  36. :

    3 out of 5

This is a nice fragrance. It has a vintage vibe to it, but it doesn’t smell dated. It smells clean, a bit powdery. It is elegant and low profile, not exactly something that makes me think of a stolen kiss.
I imagine a classy but warm hearted middle aged woman wearing it in a parisian apartment, decorated in art deco style, a pretty flower vase is there, full of lilies.
I think this is what Gucci Bamboo and Omnia Crystalline tried to be but failed.
Overall, it is a pretty fragrance. Something to wear to a classy brunch.

  37. :

    4 out of 5

Pretty ok floral but heavily perfumey scent. It doesn’t suck you in or stand out significantly, though.
Don’t really like it or dislike it, I can see it being favored by people for sure.

  38. :

    5 out of 5

After trying this on my skin I immediately pictured a flower shop. Incredibly realistic presentation of lilies.
The lily note plays the main role here, I don’t get citrussy vibe, but green notes are subtle and compliment the lily to give an impression of an absolute freshness.
Very soft, clean, feminime and authentic fragrance. I agree with some comments on poor longevity, but still: this is really like wearing an actual flower on you.

  39. :

    3 out of 5

On my skin – a slightly creamy Lily with some other green notes, very beautiful, sweet and a bit powdery in the drydown. I love how the sweetness is nicely balanced out by the green notes. This is a very interesting perfume even though the notes are not too complex. But more isn’t always better and Baiser Vole proves that very well – it is quite simple and at the same time feels elegant.

  40. :

    4 out of 5

The beginning is so green,I smell tulip leaves’ and lily of the valley, fresh and spring-like. Like a walk in a floral garden in April/May. After 10 mins or so, a freshly-picked lily takes over control and from now on, the scent stays pretty linear. Baiser Volè doesn’t last too much on skin (3, max 4 hours) but is well-rounded, made from high quality ingredients and feels like a breath of fresh air among his perfume contemporaries. I like it.

  41. :

    5 out of 5

Sweet shampoo and green stems that surprisingly result in a simple yet impressive composition that also is very elegant.
Baiser Vole possess a rather perfumey quality and I like it a lot. It is an uplifting, bright, lasting and clean scent.
A balmy dichotomy of simple and complex, sweet and cold.

  42. :

I tried this when this first came out and was unimpressed. Seemed boring and basic, even it’s bottle. I don’t know why I decided to try this again, but I did. It’s okay. Totally reminds me of something my mother would have worn. I agree with the poster emt1986’s review where that review says “Go easy with this one. Spritz judiciously; let it mist gently instead of pool. Two or three sprays is plenty. Don’t force it. If you overdo Baiser Vole, it won’t perform its magic; it will bludgeon you instead”——Advice worth repeating, and I totally agree with this suggestion/advice. Spritzing this too close or too heavily, this just won’t work it’s “magic”. Less is best and a using light hand. I spray and “walk into” this. Spraying too close, and this can be a little……”too much”. Not heavy or overpowering, but it will just be “too much” and the fragrance will pretty much be/smell “overdone”. So spritz lightly and careful not over-spray.
I think this is office-safe, pretty inoffensive. Can smell a little synthetic (sorry). A “perfume” smell. I do not really detect the lily note. In fact, I can’t really distinguish the notes themselves (all 3 of them). This might seem mainly a Spring fragrance, but I think this is fine for year-round, day or night. Just a very basic “safe” fragrance. I think this would make a good gift choice. Not heavy nor overpowering. I still can’t quite bring myself to say I like this one, but I certainly do not dislike this. One of those “meh” fragrances for me. It is very womanly, not little girl sugar-bomb, so I appreciate that. Great for days you don’t know what to wear, but want to smell nice and not offend anyone. Not a fragrance if you want to smell unique or different from every other girl/woman at the mall or coffee shop. Nice and pleasant enough, but nothing earth-shattering. Pretty much a generic all-around safe everyday fragrance. Not that I will wear this everyday, but….yeah. It’s just very “meh” for me.

After much anticipation I finally got to try this. Good news and bad news: good news is yes it is a beautiful, fresh realistic lily scent that includes greenness and even pollen and flowers floating in water. The perfumer nailed realistic. And ever so slightly powdery.
The bad news: I am allergic to it 🙁 Sprayed this and felt sneezy and itchy. )
If anybody wants small Baiser Vole samples let me know.

A very sophisticated soapy lily. It’s not spicy but smells like it would be. There’s also a milky aspect that reminds me of Serge Lutens Jeux de Peau which reminds a lot of people of breast milk. This is a very clean, cold, natural smelling buttery floral. It smells very foreign as well. When I close my eyes I expect the wearer to be a French or Spanish woman. Not American.

Interesting. I blind bought a 30ml bottle because I found it for a great deal and I vaguely remembered having liked it when it first came out (though after these years I’m not certain whether I initially liked the fragrance or the bottle). The first few tests I got a fairly heavy nondescript perfume scent- not bad at all, but disappointing after reading so many reviews here that rave about the realistic lily scent. Tonight I decided to give it another go and for whatever reason, there it was- fresh, humid, oily stamens and all, I shut my eyes and saw a lovely spray of white lilies; an Easter Sunday bouquet. Perhaps I sprayed a little less, perhaps I’m catching the scent at the right distance, maybe the heat/humidity is cooperating, I’m not sure, but I’m glad I finally found what everyone is loving about this very pretty perfume.

Go easy with this one. Spritz judiciously; let it mist gently instead of pool. Two or three sprays is plenty. Don’t force it. If you overdo Baiser Vole, it won’t perform its magic; it will bludgeon you instead. However, modesty in application will be rewarded with the most breathtakingly beautiful lily scent imaginable (note, though, that I haven’t tried Penhaligon’s Lily and Spice, nor will I except in the unlikely event that it is brought back into production). BV is realistic and green, dewy and sweet, softly spicy. It’s not quite as heady as the scent of a fresh stargazer lily, but I’m glad of that, as they’re often too much at close range. This is a simplistic scent, but well-executed simplicity is tough to beat. I can’t get over the soft but exuberant wafts coming up from my torso all day at work. Lily lovers can’t go wrong with this lily masterpiece.

Mmmmm… Such a beautiful vase of lilies in a stunning bottle. This is the whole flower, stem and water included. It’s floral but it somehow warms up on my skin after awhile. I love this, even though it doesn’t last terribly long. However, if my skin is moisturized, I can get a little more wear from it. I have a full bottle, so I will respray to my hearts desire. Beautiful.. Pleasant..

This is not a lily flower like Yosh. This is all green. Leaves, pistols, stamen. The innards of a flower. The sap. The chlorophyll with a little bit of flower and a sharpness that lily brings. This is lovely for an inexpensive frag.

The green note is a little too strong but the dry down is pure love.

The most photorealistic lily scent I’ve ever smelled.
When I was around 8 years old, I used to frequently visit my aunt’s apartment in San Francisco. It was a small apartment, but it always smelled so refreshing. One day, I realized the source of the intoxicating, floral, yet somehow savory scent: a large vase of freshly cut lilies she used to pick up from the farmer’s market.
If you like lilies, you will love this scent. It smells like the stems, the pollen, the petals of a lily, brought home from the farmer’s market on a damp, foggy morning. Like shrinking yourself into the size of a fairy and living within the soft petals of the flower, sitting on the stigmas and dusting your cheeks with the powdery pollen.
Any sweet, almost banana-like notes you may smell in this fragrance is simply an extension of the photorealism of the lily; real lilies also have this edible, almost banana candy quality as well, as well as some savory gourmand quality I can’t quite place my finger on.

A safe wear for the office but still unique. I have to agree with others that it smells like when you walk into a florist.. that cold sweet green smell of fresh cut stems and fresh flowers. It is linear but still interesting.. I’m into heavy orientals but this is a simple and fresh way to change things up occasionally.

This is the cleanest one I’ve ever smelled. It almost reminds me of Orchid Soleil by Tom Ford, except a little less sweet. They both have the same creamy lily quality to them. It’s very beautiful, especially when you feel like you need a detox from all the heavy, sweet perfumes.

I tried my sample of this today. I can’t stop smelling my wrist. Baiser Vole is such a serene lily scent. Lily and green, so natural. This is feminine, not sweet. Fresh. I fell in love with this scent and will definitely purchase.

I wouldn’t describe Baiser Vole as a pleasing fragrance. There is a dry note, sort of medicinal that lingers in the background constantly. It bothers me.
In terms of the lily, yes, it’s quite nice. Lilies don’t have the typical “floral” notes, they tend to be more raw, green, aquatic.
But still, something in it makes me dislike this perfume.
    Just my opinion.

Floral and soft and smooth with a fresh, transparent green note threaded throughout, and stays fresh in the top. It becomes creamier and less fresh over time, but no less beautiful or lush. A touch of pollen-like fuzz emerges in the mid, hinting at what might be
