Description

The former model, TV star and designer Kimora Lee Simmons launches her sixth fragrance named Baby Phat Luv Me in the spring of 2011. Kimora advertised it with tags “Love my dreams… Love my spirit…Love my smile…Love my strength … Love me for the essence of who I am…”. The fragrance is conceived as a seductive and powerful combination of intensive and impassioned notes, designed for independent and adventurous women.

The composition is described as musky oriental. It opens with juicy notes of tangerine, passion fruit and apricot blossom. The heart is ruled by floral notes of frangipani, jasmine and tiger orchid, laid on the sensual base of vanilla, sandalwood and musk.

The fragrance is available as Eau de Toilette in bottles of 15 and 30 ml.

Opening blast is fun, carefree, fruity, sweet..but then quickly dries down not even about 15 minutes later into some strange odd old book/powdery note smell (no idea what note is doing that to my nose), with a very slight sweetness if I really strain to sniff. But I bought this tiny spray bottle for around $5 from fragnet, so I guess I can’t complain. Just ends up smelling very strange to my nose. Perhaps my bottle went bad. But this was sprayed the same day as received. Hmm. I guess it’s not a bad smell, it kind of grows on me..it’s kinda unique, I will say that. But it’s not really something I want to smell like. In fairness, my skin and nose are tricky with powdery notes, so if that is what is dominating here, that is probably the problem. It’s not overpowering, so there’s that. Soft sillage. Longevity is a couple of hours. Meh!!! Next!!

This is nice & soft with a touch of sweetness. I smell vanilla, light floral and a hint of fruit. For a bit I smell the scent that play-dough used to smell like. It also feels like there is some licorice hiding in the background. Very nice
Doesn’t remind me of anything I own

Strong citrus at first, but changes to sweet vanilla and flowers. Luv this!
Edit: I still luv this! Everytime I wear it, I get compliments.
    Thank you, Kimora!

pretty basic vanilla on me, not too sweet, not heachache inducing at all, I use to layer with other scents. NO staying power and not much silage. Sort of non offensive but barely existant on me. The only note I get is vanilla.

I really liked Dare Me so I figured I would blind buy this one. Now it is one of my favorites. It is somewhat juicy and tart while remaining sweet and fresh. I love the scent of Passion Fruit oïl extract and this is my go – to fix at the moment for exotic fruitiness. The florals, while being tame remind me of the ‘ Candied Petals ( not sure ) line at Vickies. Sugared Lilac is one I have but this comes to me as a honey-vanilla comfort scent with calming hint of fresh frangipani. I would put it in the Adore category if the scent would last more than an hour.. alas. But I do love my bottle. I like that it leaves a light and delicious gourmand drydown of sweet fruit, vanilla and woodsy notes. Dare me is pretty potent and in your face coconutty. This one is more fitting for Spring in my mind. A fresh and yummy treat that can be bought for a very good price!

One of my favorites! I am finding that my chemistry really likes supposed sweet scents, as this does not smell overly sweet on me at all.
From the first spray, I smell vanilla. It is very good quality vanilla, not artificial or chemical smelling. And it stays with me throughout the life of the perfume.
I get a very brief whiff of flowers, frangipani is the most prominent and blends perfectly with the vanilla.
Then the musk moves in with the vanilla with subtle hints of sandalwood.
After about a 45 mins, it sits close to the skin and within 2 hours, it’s pretty much gone…. It’s the only thing I wish were different, that it lasted longer because it is a beautiful fragrance.

i actually love this. it’s my first wearing and no i don’t find it powdery, but i do find it a very nice sweet(from the beautiful flowers listed) vanilla. and i also don’t find this cloying or sickeningly sweet at all. i have had this on all day and yep, it’s still lasting nicely. in fact, it’s lasting and projecting a lot nicer than some of my much more expensive perfumes. the best part is i got this on clearance at marshalls for 75 cents. wow!

Absolutely hate it! Smells powdery and unpleasant. I usually go for fresh/citrus/fruity/sweet scents. Can’t stand strong perfumes. I can’t believe so many people like it.

This IS special! Very special to me. I get the licorice note that some others have gotten, and yes, it’s a bit reminiscent of Aromadesiac. I’m really loving most any scent with orchid. Aromadesiac is sweet but quickly turns into this sugarless candy on me, more black jellybean and being a bit sharp while turning into black licorice. I find this to be staying sweeter. Love Me appears to be a lighthearted, sweeter, and more playful little sister, more like red licorice instead of black. I wish it would stay as strong as the first initial blast! I would wait an hour and be ready to go for any event. Sadly, this is gone by the end of the hour and you’d better take it with you! I’m really happy with this for a blind buy! Oh how dear this would be to me if it had more lasting power!

This is the only scent in Kimora’s fragraces that I love..Like another reviewer stated I also smell black licorice which is a plus for me I love the smell of black licorice… Kinda smells like Avon’s Aromadisiac to me,which I also love.

I got a good deal on this and really LOVE how it smells. I agree with the others about it not lasting. I think it was virtually undetectable to anyone else after 20 minutes. I could smell it if I smooshed my nose in it…but I wear perfume to smell nice to others too. Just needs to be stronger.

No longevity. It was gone within 20 minutes. So dissapointing. For me it was a purchase gone wrong.

Delectable treat: the luscious passion fruit note I adore in Hard Candy, the vanilla creamyness I crave in Paris Passport (Paris); the candied flowers I love in Dare Me and a monoi-like sweetness that is fluffy and breezy. It reminds me of early morning sunrays warming up the grass as I sip my cofee in the gazebo.. loves it!

This fragrance makes me hungry…it’s like you just walked into a candy shop or a cotton candy and snow cone shack at the fair. It’s young and fresh; fruity, too. I love it.

a sweet warm vanilla floral. I love the way it starts out, as a bouquet of florals, with a dash of vanilla. Then it seems that the notes reverse and the vanilla becomes the most prominent, and the florals move to the background. Although this is sweet, the florals prevent it from being too candy like. If you like vanilla based scents, this is worth a try.

It’s my first perfume by Kimora Lee Simmons. I really like this smell. when I got it I was hesitating if I want it or not. Now to me it’s a nice sweet woody flowery smell. I prefer it for day wear, because it’s not offensive and at the same time it makes me feel good and I want to smell it more 🙂 Surprisingly for such cheap price there is something special in this fragrance for me.

i bought a bottle of this today based on its price and Fragan reviews and the initial smell that i got was BLACK LICORICE! huh? so i came back to Fragran to check the notes again to try and figure out why it is smelling of this strange candy. dont get me wrong, i love black licorice and the way it smells, but i wasnt expecting Love Me to smell like it. im thinking that the fruit mixed with either the musk OR the tiger orchid could be it. i read that orchids can smell anything like: coconut, butterscotch, cedar wood, cinnamon, sweet clover, roses, baby powder, citrus, rotten meat or even “indolic” which i have discovered means animalic and fecal smelling. “Indole” in its pure form is supposed to smell like moth balls, sweet and pungeant. hmmm. i forgot to add that jasmine can even smell “indolic.” so, maybe its the jasmine mixed with the fruits that give it the initial BLicorice smell.
once Love Me does dry down for a good 30 minutes, the black licorice disappears for me and a spicy vanilla really dominates, the fruits blend lightly and sweetly in the middle, and theres a touch of musk to add a muturity and sexiness that LM needs to keep stay out of the bubble gum/candy zone.
this perfume is not a revelation, but i think it would fit anyone 30+ who wants to sport a warm, casual, slightly sweet, yet sexy scent for the day and even the night. its still cold where i live, so i dont know how it will smell/last in the heat. my 1oz bottle is cute and doesnt look cheap.if it was any bigger, then it might start to look like a cheap bottle. dunno.
be warned! does’t last too long! mine wears off completely after 2-3 hours.

I picked up a a set of celebrity rollers to give away as christmas gifts and this was included… I gave it a sniff (I have to smell them before deciding who to give them to, my friends have particular tastes) and I LOVED it! by far the best sent in the set! I almost dont want to give it away!

I got this by mistake, I meant to get Dare me. Passionfruit usually ends up sour & weird on me. This is actually really nice! I was pleasently surprised. The passionfruit is not obvious or annoying, but lends to the sweetness. This is mild, sweet & ever so slightly woody more fruity than floral not offensive, & I find it lasts longer than I thought, as someone noticed it on me 5 hours later.

Very light fragrance. A sweeter lighter version of Japanese Cherry Blossom from Bath and Body Works. The extra sweet scent reminds me of Red Vines black licorice candy.

I bought this because I loved Dare Me and when I saw this at Walmart, I couldn’t resist. This was a blind buy as Walmart has most of their perfumes in these hard plastic shells that will take a nuclear explosion to open but I figured, how bad can this be?
This is COMPLETELY different from Dare Me. Dare Me is very coconutty with subtle floral notes perfume. This one is sweet too but in a very different way. I get a note of passionfruit when I first spray it-mind you, I love the passionfruit so its all good. Frangipani is definately present in this fragrance, it gives it a very sweet, delicate and creamy feel and then the heart opens up with jasmin note which in my opinion, makes it more floral. I couldn’t smell musk here but it does dry down to soft fruity vanilla scent. After I thought about it for a while I realized what it reminded me of-Vanilla Passionfruit by Lavanilla which I also own. It is not exactly the same but Vanilla Passionfruit has the same strong passionfruit note so if you own Lavanilla, I wouldn’t buy Love Me because its very simular. None the less, I think its a nice scent and suitable for both day and evening.

When I first sprayed this at Walgreens, I didnt like it. but by the time i got home I had to have it. Starts of pretty strong but the dry down is soft and fruity.

the trio frangipani, passion fruit, sandal wood makes that special smell! The jasmine, orchid, vanilla complete it with a soft breeze of vanilla flowers! I know what it made me think of now! Hypnose wich contains:passion fruit, orchid, vanilla, vetiver.it’s a sweet floral-fruity.sexy,exotic,summery! Love it! Love baby phat perfumes! Different !

Just bought this yesterday. It kinda reminds me of Dare Me just a little bit but where Dare me has a definete Coconut distinctive note, Love me has the jasmine note coming through strong. They are both delicious in their own way, but I’m partial to coconut so I like Dare Me a little bit better. My fiance liked it, he told me last night how good I smelled. It’s soft, not too much sillage, the scent remains close to the skin. I think Dare me has a lot more lasting power then Love me. Overall I would give this a 10 for scent but I wish it was a lot stronger
