I love this one, fresh citric start becomming extremely masculine & deliciously spicy after a few hours. Longetivity is huge. i’m still smellingit myself while I’m wearing another t-shirt by now & nope i did not spray any again. People around me instantly fall in love (not with me but the fragrance!) amazing is they were on the other side of the big room. i can not say i like the classic Chrome but previous summer version, united, legend & this version are huge. Why O why didn’t Azzaro keep this one in its collection as a variation of Chrome. Gonna browse the web to buy the ones i can find:-)

This Summer edition has too much citrus for my taste (and may i add my wife). When i used to wear Chrome it always reminded me of a G&T, my wife used to nearly rip my clothes off when i wore it, or couldent stop herself from hanging on my neck smelling it.
My wife bought this one for me and we both thought it has way to much citrus (yes im also older, rounder and not nearly as handsome as in my younger days), so clothes dint come ripping off on this one.

A nice beginners frag. As mentioned the longevity and sillage pretty much sucks. I take it back, this is not for beginners. Spend your money on Chrome Legend which is 20x better than this. I wonder if Summer 2013 and 2014 are improvements.

Lets you fell the summer heat in a different way, a smelling good way. Fresh, clean, fruity yet very masculine. Good for day and night, inside or outdoors.

Pure grapefruit on top with cardamom. Incredibly organic but no development whatsoever. Not necessarily a bad thing in this case, Azzaro Chrome Summer is a light, citrusy but spicy wear that is rather uplifting and incredibly raw, a clear reaction against previous eras of fragrance that saw far more ingredients and complexity surface. Azzaro Summer is nothing complex enough to justify analization, it takes its inspiration obviously from the Big Pony releases of Ralph Lauren in its dedication to minimalism. Simply a heavy dose of grapefruit and cardamom that duel with eachother for dominance over the 4-6 hours of wear. Turns to a skin scent after the first two hours of moderate projection. Purely for times under the sun.

I rather enjoy Chrome Summer but, like summers in the Pacific Northwest, it fades just a bit too quickly…would not use this daily but it seems to fit the bill for a casual night out.

Incredibly simple grapefruit and spice fragrance that sticks close to the skin from the onset but manages to maintain a rather organic feel nevertheless. Nicely balanced, the cardamom never overwhelms and manages to curb the more sour accords of the grapefruit. Chrome Summer is for someone seeking something incredibly simple and basic, that enjoys the natural scent of grapefruit mixed with gritty cardamom with a hint of woodsy notes and doesn’t need all the extra floral and garden spices common to most citrus based fragrances. Chrome Summer is a nod to the early 20th century citrus fragrances but with better longevity at 4-6 hours consistently. This does stick close to the skin and the scent itself is extremely linear with no evolution or movement and somewhat boring, best utilized in a rotation rather than everyday use.

Very very lemony and invigorating this time around and none of that icy metallic note of the original just like our reviewer; Grottola, said. I love the citrus, amber, and soft rosewood together. It’s a unique combo. I think it’s better than Chrome and Chrome Sport. Sadly, it disappears quickly. In fact, I also have Issey Miyake Sport on me beforehand and I still can smell it. Where did Chrome Summer go? 🙁

This one didn’t really remind me of Eau de Rochas Homme, but I can see where one would make that connection.
If anything, I mainly smell a resemblance to Acqua di Parma Colonia Essenza, and Givenchy Play, in some respects. This is because Chrome Summer (which really doesn’t have anything to do with Chrome, by the way) emphasizes citrus notes over a darker woody base, in this case the cardamom being the one to hold the citrus up. That’s pretty much all I get – lemony citrus balanced out with a dark, woody, sort of coffee-like cardamom. Doesn’t have any of Chrome’s distinctive, dewy, metallic smell at all. The only other fragrance I can think of comparing this to would be Patrick Dempsey Unscripted II by Avon, which is a similar earthy-woody citrus kind of deal.
I’ve gotten, in total, about five hours out of Chrome Summer. Not bad for a citrus fragrance on my skin, but nothing special. Still, give it a try. It’s unique and stands out among its contemporaries and new summer fragrances this year. Would I buy it? No.

Smells dated.. I don’t know why they release a summer version of a (great) summer fragrance..

I got a sample of this from a purchase, first thing that came to mind was eau de Rochas. have not worn it yet.
