    MAJOR EDIT
I am currently on vacation wearing this now for 3 days straight……
I AM BLOWN AWAY by this reformulation. Now this also reminds me of Boucheron Pour Homme EDP.
The performance is also top notch. I am catching strong whiffs of this even at the 3 hour mark then it dies down eventually.
DO NOT ruin this reformulation PLEASE. This could be a new signature for me.
The small bottle size is great for traveling. 50ml will last a month or more depending on use.
    LOVE IT !

Last night I opened my new bottle of AZuree…the new rendition of the bottle out now.
I have always stayed away from Azuree because of the suntan lotion smell that was so prevalent . This time around I get NO leather and NO suntan oil. What I smelled on me last night was almost 100% KNOWING.
Granted the smell was extremely potent from the get go (compared to my alcoholic Chanel 19 EDP which I also opened last night ).
So in short I don’t smell anything old in the new AZuree at all which works for me since I’ve played with Knowing before and liked it.

I generally gravitate towards niche perfumes, and find many of the corporate scents available at Sephora or Macy’s to be a little uninspiring, but I sought this out after reading Tania Sanchez’s review that it’s an old-school gem. She’s right- I’m a huge fan of vintage bandit and Jolie Madame and this is a nice modern stand-in. It opens a little loud and citrus/aldehelic but soon softens to a powdery violet with just a hint of leather that keeps poking through, tantalizing you to ask “What’s that smell? Ah, it’s me!”
I haven’t actually purchased this yet (because I found a bottle of vintage Jolie Madame at an antiques mall) but every time I’m near a Macy’s I have to run in and grab a spritz on my wrist. After the most recent application I went to see a movie and when it ended the woman sitting next to me turned and said, “what are you wearing? You smell amazing- so clean!” There ya go.

Today my Azuree arrived together with Bandit and I already have Cabochard. There is written a lot about their similarity so I wanted to compare them. I think that Azuree is the most easy-going of them. It is not so sour as Bandit and not so sharp as Cabochard. I must say that I love them all, but there are differences. Leather, oakmoss and spices, this is something they have in common, but then they are different. Maybe it is a bit softer and sweeter than the other two, which are more unisex.

I have just purchased my second slightly used bottle of Azuree. I want it in my tight fisted hands when I depart this world-thats how much I love it. Other leather perfumes have not called to me as this one has. It’s all leather and oakmoss on me. If any other notes develop, I can’t tell, yet. It makes me feel confident to return to Taekwondo Karate class and tackle the exhausting 45 minutes of exercise before we began to spar. Forty years have passed since Karate class, so instead I’ll wear my Azuree and gleefully smile over youth gone by.

I have Bandit and I love it, Azuree is similar in opening for sure but where Azuree is blow your socks off Bandit is more demure. I find Azuree much to strong (for me) I can’t wear it. I’ll stick with Bandit which IMO is more refined.

I was given a sample of the new version in a swap.
At first I was relieved. I’m trying not to spend, and I have TOO MUCH perfume, and to me- Azuree smelled exactly like Bandit EDP and Cabochard EDP. I adore Bandit. I have a 2000-2003 EDP (fave), a newest Made in France EDP, and a small Elfin (?) era Parfum- which I love because it mixes the US and France Bandit perfectly.
Azuree smells like the Parfum of Bandit. So, I thought I didn’t NEED to buy Azuree.
But I was kinda wrong. First of all, both Cabo and Bandit have good sillage/potency/longevity so I can’t complain there. BUT… even this newest Azuree is STRONG! Like one squirt strong.
And Azuree had this lemonade-note that indeed makes this smell like happy sunshine and yellow florals.
So between that extra bit of citrus and the lasting power… I may need this.

What a marvel! Just received a bottle of this from Estee Lauder online, and love the new bottle shape. The juice is, as always, powerful stuff. Go easy there, this will fill a room and then some! Maybe the whole neighborhood! I’m a fan of oakmoss, galbanum, leather, etc – love Miss Balmain and wear it often; also Guerlain Mitsouko. So, if you’re into those, you probably would like Azuree. btw I also have the Azuree Soleil, I think Tom Ford’s name comes to mind for that one for some reason…it’s what Bronze Goddess Skin Scent aspired to. Incredible for hot summer days. But I digress…grab yourself a bottle of Azuree in the newly designed bottle – wow, it’s lovely!

In MY mind, this is what Mrs. Roper smells like.
Mrs. Roper is my style icon.
I actually quite like this. It reminds me of something you might smell from Aveda, just on some kind of drug that makes it scream REAL LOUD! It’s super 60s, super potent and more earthy than you’d expect from Estée. It’s a little dirty, dusty and “old book” smelling. Well worth checking out, especially if you love chypres just be careful applying it because it goes on SO heavy!
I have both old and new formulas and as much as I don’t want there to be, I think there is a difference between them, enough to notice if you’re a fan but not enough to turn you away if you’ve never experienced it before.
Worth trying if you’re a fan of: Aromatics Elixir, Aramis or Mitsouko (although in my opinion, Mitsouko is the most different from all three in that it’s more intericate and delicate by comparison).

Found it in the new bottles of Estee Lauder at a bazaar in Athens in plenty yesterday (at 21 €!?!) and rushed to try it, as it is a legend now!
It smells almost like Balmain’s Jolie Madame plus lots of citrus in the background. The foreground is a balanced cross of leather and oakmoss, and somewhere lies a flower that makes it a bit airy.
It is strong and very long lasting. Not necessarily feminine. It can be annoying too, as it is an old school leather-moss chypre.
I didn’t like the drydown – smelled like Luten’s Chene (bacon). But it has nothing to do with today’s perfumes, so if you enjoy this family of smells, this one is a powerhouse!

This is for the new formulation in the new bottle. Crikey – this stuff should come with a warning label. When I first sprayed it on (just one spray on my wrist, mind you), I didn’t like it much – it had an antiseptic feel I didn’t like. I always give scents a chance to dry down and do their stuff though, so I waited a few hours. Although the antiseptic smell went away and I started to like it a little better, it was still way too much. It was starting to make me nauseous so I had to wash it off (and change my shirt because the sleeve reeked). HOWEVER, even through the nausea, I could tell there was something good there, so I did my usual trick for strong fragrances and sprayed some on a cotton ball and dabbed one little dab on my wrist. Wow, what a difference. The loveliness was able to come through – so much different! Even 10 hours later, that one little dab was still going strong and smelling of lovely leather, herbs, and sunshine. I know my nose is super sensitive and I like my fragrances on the light side, but definitely be careful with this one – even if you do like ’em strong! Sillage and longevity are off the charts.

This opens and smells like Estee lauder Aliage EDP but I don’t hate it as much as Aliage.
It is no way similar to Cabochard, in Azuree, the oakmoss and leather makes the scent very Pungent and dry spicy whereas in Cabochard the oakmoss and leather gives a woody quality almost like the one found in wooden drawers. I love Cabochard and men love it.
This perfumes reminds me of towns situated in valleys surrounded by gigantic trees and other green vegetation covered in mist for eternity.
Not blown away by this perfume but I’m glad a member here introduce me to this new experience.
edit: Tried current version not vintage. The bottle has been redesigned.

Exactly like Scherrer in the beginning. Becomes mossier and greener than Scherrer later.

I really wanted to love this, but it’s a scrubber for now. I’ll try it again in a week or so, but it’s just too medicinal smelling. I dont get any leather or woods. I hope it grows on me by wearing it a few more times, but as of now, I’m off to bathe it off.
Wore this again today, better this time, but still not loving the way I am smelling. The silage on this is massive, and I wish it were less bitter. Definitely recommend trying before buying.

This is very different from what’s currently in style. It’s the oppossite of sweet, vanilla and amber. This is bitter citrus, oakmoss and vetiver with some florals like jasmin, iris. If you love Aromatics elixir ((like I do) You will definitely like this one! Very green and herbal with citrus and leather notes.it also gets slightly warmer and sweeter on me. I have been wearing this almost daily for a year and love it! I have gotten many spontaneous compliments from people when wearing this scent. This perfume makes me think of Gres by cabochard (a less weak, watered down version) also Bandit by Piguet (though there’s a slightly soapy thing in Bandit that is lacking here. I pretty much love it!

Found it today in my favorite perfume shop. Oh boy this is mind blowing. Spray it care because if overdone (like I did) might be way way to much. Many hours later and after a shower is still present like a cloud around me. Definitely a very versatile and eccentric scent for special occasion. I might even add that is little perverse fragrance. Defo a power bomb. It makes you stand out from a crowd.

This is one of ELs best in my opinion. Really a great achievement in fragrance. I wear this a lot on weekends. It’s like a warm summer sun on my skin as it develops. The initial opening notes are very herbal and powerful. Don’t apply too much. But the leather and citrus notes are quite unique and sophisticated. One of my all time favorites.

I have yet to try this on my skin but I sprayed this on a card at work today. And it is wonderful, it did take me a bit to appreciate it since it starts very dry but I waited it out. Eight, almost nine hours later it is still projecting across the room. I can’t imagine how immense it must have been before the reformulations.
Dry leather, I couldn’t process the floral aspect until later in the day but it is beautiful.
I showed my brother (we are both in our twenties) when he got home from work and he loved it and apparently could smell it when he walked in.

OHHH , its just been delivered by Amazon 20 minutes ago and already I am swathed in its soft, powdery leatheryness , I smelled it a year ago in Selfridges and neglected yo buy it mainly because I could not really justify ANOTHER bottle of perfume .
Do you know what I am tempted to do ? Take a decant bottle and put in 10 ml of Chanel Misia which has a lipstick and leather tone but poor sillage and longevity, and stick 1 ml of Azuree into it to give it longevity .
I read the oak moss isn’t as good as it was in the vintage version , but the use of oak moss is now restricted so really, is it surprising that the scent won’t smell the same in re- formulation ? It constantly amazes me that people think modern re formulations can smell the same – time and restrictions on ingredients can play mind tricks , olfactory tricks and the truism that nothing stays the same , and yet they still expect miracles .
This is lovely , its truly worth the £40 I spent on it – I don’t give a fig about the change in the bottle – all Chanel classics are bottled identically so why the hue and cry ?
Its sooo engagingly soft and powdery yet a true leather – not as leathery as a 20″s leather like Tabac Blonde , so, so much softer – very Betnard Chant at his best – I don’t smell Aramis at all which I truly cannot stand – its so nose burningly harsh – this isn’t .
I totally disagree with Juliette has a gun that its better on a man than a woman. But its better on a woman than on a girl but I can see a man wearing it at a push .
It is s definitely a slightly feral animalic leather chypre – its not Armotwics Elixir which is herby in my opinion , its a bit like a softer Femme . I don’t know why certain people can’t pick up on the soft floral aspect of it – its now 30 minutes in and the soft floral is coming out .
I don’t know about the comparison to Miss Dior ( the original) because all I have is the re formulation which is all angles and bones compared to this – I love this , I really love it – its comforting and gentle without being apologetic – I love Misia but I can’t warrant the price for so little longevity and dry down , so, methinks I will try my one to ten experiment and see if I can retain the lipstick but amp up the longevity – I will return ………

Is it me or does this smell like pine needles but in an amaaaaazing way?! Seriously, I sprayed this by accident on my thumb at the Estee Lauder counter and could not get my nose off of it. I know people must have thought I was weird but I don’t care! This fragrance wasn’t just perfume to me, this represented something so wholesome. As a family we used to go camping every year to Kern River. We did this because my dad like myself had such a love for nature and it was so cost effective! This beautiful fragrance brings me there. Looking up at a huge pine with the sun hot and high in the sky. The smell of the river passing by and even the scent of the earth damp by the river. This was an instant love for me I truly adore it, its a beautiful chypre that evokes beautiful memories of my childhood as well it comes from the Estee house which was my moms favorite. Gorgeous, dry, bitter and oh so clean, a total love

YUMMMMBA BUMM BUMMM. What else to say. Sad for days, since I used the last drop of my Cabochard spray. I actually took it out of my old bottles bin twice to attempt to get more out, shaking the atomizer up and down at all angles mathematically possible.
I had noticed this mini, purchased in a big lot, which I had assumed was an Avon because of the bottle shape. Plus, I could not read the font size 1…if that, on the teeeeny label, so it sat there for weeks. Finally I decide to try to examine it. With two pairs of readers on at once,I made out Azuree. I remembered hearing of it vaguely. I open the little bottle – Aladdin´s lamp.
I am sitting in the late morning sun, sipping mint tea and sniffing the cap of my Cabochard bottle. Aromatics Elixir is on the table too, but still in its box. This is a Cabochard relative for sure…..But more, warmer, sweeter, less edgy and more powdery. How, I ask the Perfume Gods, How can something like Azuree be so unknown?
In 1969, Azuree was born and I was ten. My grandmother retired from the Canadian Pacific Railways and was given a ticket for our family to travel from Toronto to Vancouver, first class, that summer. From the little beaver emblems on the wool Hudson´s Bay blankets, to the gloved waiters and hardwood furniture in our room, to me this was like perfumes of the age of Azuree and before. In a word, elegance. Whereas today´s fragrances, many of them at least, are like traveling economy by air…In a few words….La Vie est Blah…..

I had been looking for another bottle of Miss Balmain. It has become increasingly hard to find. Even the square bottles(reformulated and not as good)are now hard to find. I read somewhere that Azuree and Miss Balmain were very close and so I went to a department store and tried Azuree on a paper strip. I had seen this perfume in stores most of my life and had not ever tried it. WHAT WAS WRONG WITH ME! On my this is lovely! Warm florals, oakmoss, and leather. It is very similar to Miss Balmain, at least on paper. I had planned to go back and buy a bottle but I found a good deal on Ebay for a vintage Miss Balmain. Now I know if I ever run out of my favorite woody leather I can always enjoy Azuree by Estee Lauder. I think it is a great fall winter scent with it’s dry woody florals and expensive leather. The price was not bad either for two full ounces.

Apparently in the 1970’s Estee Lauder released a gift-with-purchase version of this fragrance in a lighter formulation, called “Azuree Sunshine Cologne Splash.” This gem is a wonderful alternative to a classic Eau De Cologne – light, fresh, transparent, and (sadly) fleeting…something to carry in a purse atomizer and spritz on whenever you need a pick-me-up, but not overwhelming in any way.

  26. :

    5 out of 5

My vintage Azuree smells just like my vintage 1970’s Cabochard parfum but it’s a little more green and its flowers last longer, making it smell fresher and brighter. Oh how I love my Cabochard and hate to say this, but you’ve been trumped by Azuree.
UPDATE: I went shopping today and stopped by the Estée Lauder counter to see if the Azuree in the new square bottle smelled the same as the one in the round bottle. Nope, this reformulated Azuree smells like a stronger, sharper version of the newest version of Cabochard. In both, the green notes and florals are gone but Cabochard’s smoky tobacco and leather mellows out while Azuree stays strong and pungent. I’ll stick with the vintage on both.

I had to repost my review. This fragrance is not overwhelming at all. Now I would not wear in the dead of summer, but after calming down within about 15 minutes or so, it begins to shine. Very evocative of it’s hey day in the 70s. While it is big, it is not obnoxious. There is an almost meditative quality about. It has a rich and spicy allure that is very sexy in it’s own way. And I have to be honest to you, the leather is faint. But you know what, it’s the kind of fragrance that makes you want to put on a good leather jacket, go out to dinner and have a few drinks and just be a woman. Not for everyone, but worth having for sure.
The viewer below was right. If you like Guerlain’s Mitsouko, you should like this. I have had my wrist to my nose for the past 15 minutes, sniffing like a hound dog. Good stuff.

The new bottle offers as much of a return to the classic Azurée as there has been in years. This is the dry leather I loved. Sometime around 2012 it turned into a sweet melon punch with a hint of leather. The 2015 version in the new bottle may not be the bombastic smoky leather it once was, but it’s the closest it has been in years, and the sillage is epic. All of the classic Lauder fragrances in the new bottles smell more true to their heritage. Thank you, Estée Lauder, for restoring glory to these classic fragrances!

Discovered, by chance, their new version of Azuree today. Well, if they had only changed the bottle there´d be no problem for me….but….we all know a new bottle also brings a new formula. The original “soul” of the scent is gone. And so is Azuree. I was fearing something like this for a long time but until now it was only a nightmarish thought in the back of my head.
The new Azuree is not half of what this mighty oakmoss beauty once was. I had to get myself a backup bottle of the old version.
Azuree certainly is (IMHO) one of the best leather scents I have known so far and with the lemon-herbal combo one of a kind. A chypre actually can´t get any better than this one. For me it was love at first sniff and I found it purely by chance (another customer was shown this beauty and I luckily was standing close enough to get a whiff of that heavenly juice)….I am sad to see it gone.
Update April 11, 2015 : I got myself 2 back-up bottles. The old stuff seems to be gone everywhere….I was both dead happy and scared when I purchased the last old bottle from one of our local perfume boutiques……it was a strange feeling after all. It feels so final somehow.

    Cabochard +
    Warm ( yellow? ) Flowers
    = Azuree!
I might also add that the sillage and longevity for Azuree are considerably better than with Cabochard. I like them both, but Azuree is outstanding.

Yes, the comparison to ARAMIS is obvious. Me, I love those intense, in-your-face patchouly/leather fragrances based upon Isobutyl Quinoline, aka IBQ, aka Pyralone, like MISS BALMAIN, BANDIT, CHAZ, etc. (even AROMATICS ELIXIR, which is a transparent, aerated version of one). I laugh when I read the “official” description, above: “pellucid and sunny”. Oh, it is so NOT! It’s dark and opaque, not pellucid and sunny. Such BS the advertisers write sometimes.
AZURÉE is like a subtler, more nuanced ARAMIS. I particularly like the more pronounced fruity/oakmoss note, the tangier citrus, the more prominent floralcy, especially the Ylang note, which softens that Western cowboy leather/campfire feel. But most of all, I love that aromatic accord of thyme/rosemary in the takeoff, and wish it would last longer into the drydown. I also detect a subtle birchtar, slightly sulfuric gunpowder note, and civet, which are not listed for clicking, above.
Sadly, that patch/IBQ/oakmoss kind of signature is strongly associated, I’d say, with the late-60’s/early-70’s, (what in ARAMIS, you’d call a “pornstache” scent, LOL) and it would take an act of God, I’d think, for it ever to come into popular fashion again, what with the current predilection for faux fruities/cutesy transparent florals.
Maybe AZURÉE is “so Out, it’s IN” ? NORDSTROM carries a version called “Pure Fragrance Spray” for a mere $40. Is it a sort of bridge between an EDT and an EDP?

Oh my. I sooo wanted to like this, based on the reviews. It sounded different, and intriguing, and luscious.
Tonight, I tested it, both on my skin and on a blotter paper. Something about my skin or my nose doesn’t mesh with this fragrance at all.
Instead of leather, aldehydes, oakmoss and the rest, what I got was a couple of scents that don’t have happy associations for me. Namely, the strong, bitter herbal tang given off by rank, watery overgrown weeds when one is bushhogging, accented with a hint of the funky musk of an alarmed June bug.
I kept waiting for the dry down, and waiting, and waiting, for other notes to emerge. Three hours later, I’m still on a bushhog in high summer with frightened beetles whirring around my head. My eyes are burning a little too. Dang it! I sooo wanted this to be a keeper!
The juice does last and last, and stands up to soap and water, diminished but undaunted. For those of you to whom this smells delightful, you’ll certainly get your money’s worth in sillage, projection, and longevity.
Sadly, if you’re like me and your chemistry clashes with Azuree, you’ll be damned by its sillage, projection and longevity. 😉
Someday, I’ll find a scent from Estee Lauder that I can make friends with, but for now, the search continues….

This is another perfume where my response changed radically over the span of years from dislike to love. I have had a small bottle on hand – mostly out of curiosity after reading some external review/description of the scent. It was small enough that I had no problem keeping it around – unlike larger bottles that I have kept around ‘just in case’ but got rid of for storage space reasons.
Two days ago, while sniffing various samples looking for something unknown that suddenly became appealing, I retried Azuree. WOW! What had always put me off now enticed me, there was some resiny element that drew me in. After dabbing both wrists, I was pleased and amazed by now long and strong the scent stayed on my problematic skin.
And, of course, I immediately went searching for vintage bottles on Ebay. SCORE!

This was love at first sniff for me.
I take notes on paper and kick around with a perfume for a couple of days before deciding whether to write a review here or not. The first two words I had to say about Azuree were “coconut leather.” I find this interesting considering my subsequent impressions.
For two days’ worth of reapplies, I smell, in order, coconut, lemon cream, modeling clay, gardenia, and sage. And Azuree has no staying power on me. I’m tempted to go out and buy a bottle just so I can hose myself down in it and see if I can get on my skin what I eventually managed to get off the tester strip, which is-and this is two full days later, the thing should last-a perfectly amazing salty leather. I can catch hints of leather in the creases of my shirt, the coconut leather I first described, but I want the full evolution that I got from the tester strip.
Why does my skin keep doing this to me? Am I some sort of vampire, sucking the life force out of innocent fragrances? I can tell that Azuree is glorious. Deep, complex, full…but not on me.

  36. :

As a man I have no problem wearing this out. Azuree reminds me so much of Aramis when you first apply it.
It has that wham of an opening, which I love. Sort of a hell yeah!. I get a tad bit softer and maybe a little more floral version of Aramis but so similar in nature that it is hard to remember the differences. to me it has the same DNA and i instantly thought Aramis.
This is a great alternative to Aramis.. to me it sort of modernizes a great masculine Chypre that is considered by many to be old school but I still love it for that undeniably masculine scent trail that follows you.
But admit I don’t wear it much anymore. The added softness and floral qualities of Azuree Pure makes for an interesting option … I Love this as a man & of course on a woman. I get all the same positives I got with Clinique’s Aromatics Elixir. I always thought a man could wear that easily.
When I tested this out this morning, on a Saturday. I wore it with 3 sprays put on about 10 minutes before walking in.. small crew today , two lovely women I work with. One who is in her early 50’s and one that is 32 I believe. They both said about 5 minutes after I sat down at my desk. “you smell good”
That was a good reinforcement to me that this would work for a man. It is strong so really test that out. Too much of this would be the same as Too much Aramis I feel. That is true for just about every fragrance, so maybe not a criticism but a compliment on the quality of Azuree Pure.
    two thumbs up.
this is a strong two thumbs up.

  37. :

Leather is a note I really gravitate towards and Azuree has not disappointed me. The similarities to Aramis are obvious, but there are differences. The citrus opening creates a crisp and clean start which makes you think this will be a safe and fresh scent, but Azuree has no time for freshness and quickly blends into a dry, bitter, herbal and floral heart. The florals is what gives Azuree its balanced and slightly sweet aura. The drydown is dark, smokey, leathery yet very wearable. I prefer Azuree over Bandit, Cabochard and Aramis. They are all beautiful, but Azuree blends smoother into my skin with more gravitas and radiates a greater sense of warmth and confidence. Very unisex, in fact I find it more masculine than feminine.

This lady was knocking me out before I even got her out of the box. Stone cold foxy. Remember that scene in ‘Friday’ where Chris Tucker and Ice Cube say “DAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMNNNNNNN”
Never had such a vivid anthropomorphized impression of a scent as a WOMAN; and yet I feel like more of a man wearing it. God help me if I ever meet an actual woman who smells of this stuff.

Totally obsessed with this now. Of all the scents in my stash, this is the one that permanently lives in the glovebox.
Its oily, bitter citrus top cuts through all kinds of musty. The take-no-prisoners top notes and leather base work wonders on humid summer air and stuffy leather upholstery.
Spritzed in a mist in humid weather, the gardenia will waft in and out. Love, love, love. Nothing like it anywhere.
It’s also great for revitalizing handbag interiors.
    And wearing.

In reading the ingredient descriptions (love this site for that), for me it is the Vetiver and harbs that come through almost immediately. Then a subtle yummy Patchouli Leather under current that has me sniffing my wrist all day because it is just so unique and wonderful. I can definitely envision driving a Jag with the top down in Monte Carlo with the wind blowing and sun shining. This is one of my all time favorite scents and I NEVER fail to get multiple compliments from strangers asking me what I’m wearing because it is so unusual and they really like it. A bottle lasts forever because a little goes a long way and I don’t wear it to work because it is strong enough to kick off allergies in close quarters. But it is great for a night on the town or simply kicking around the mall. Sure to get you noticed but I wear it because I love the scent

This is not a scent I can wear myself as I find it far too strong and overpoweringly sharp, and this from a person who loves Youth Dew and No.5!
That said, however, this is my mother’s signature fragrance. She has worn it since it’s release in the ’60s and every time I smell it, it inevitably brings her to mind 🙂 On her, while it doesn’t ever sweeten, it softens and warms and just smells like, well, my mom.
I guess it has to do with skin chemistry, as she can wear it and it smells wonderful on her but I just can’t tolerate it on me or simply sprayed into the air.
Azuree is most definitely a scent that is not worn by everyone and should be given a chance, just don’t be surprised by its sharpness.

Sharp, strong, uncompromising. I see a blond tomboy wearing black boots and leather jacket, with sharp features. Bold and very masculine.
Reminded me of Miss Balmain and Cabochard, Azuree is somewhere between. Has the sharpness of Aromatic Elixir.
Has long been on my wantlist, I finally decided. Not oriental for me, it’s more leather chypre. In dry down is nice, but too much harshness in the beginning …just can’t wait. Too much for my senses, although brilliant, I admit. Perhaps the only Lauder I don’t want.

I wore it to work today. Someone said they smelt marihuana in the
Hallway. I fear it was me and my Azuree. I did not fess up…
The gift that keeps on giving. 12 hours and it is hanging tough still. Another to spray in the air and walk through.
Dry, not sweet, reminds me of a carpenter’s workshop in Nebraska. At times, I just feel like wearing it. At other times I cannot tolerate it.
While Youth Dew works nicely for me, this one, much less so.
If in the men’s section at Nordstroms you sniff a box of Aramis, that is Azuree too.

Leather for days–literally, days, as this stuff can easily make it through a laundry cycle.
I get the buzzy bergamot opening and then the leather kicks in. It’s a pretty straightforward olfactory journey, but a wonderful one–so wonderful, in fact, that I could see this becoming my signature fragrance. It does veer masculine, if that’s a concern (I see it as an advantage). When I first smelled it, it reminded me almost immediately of Aramis cologne for men. Not long after that, I read that Azuree had been created as a feminine “partner” scent to Aramis! I love the idea of these counterpart fragrances and wish the Lauder company still did this. (I wonder what kind of insipid masculine would be created to go along with Modern Muse? Never mind; the ide
