There has to be more notes here not listed. This smells a lot like Cool Water, though there’s no aldehydes or aquatic notes listed. It smells very fresh and clean. I get some of the freesia and fruity notes but as stated before, it’s like there are some kind of aquatic notes missing. Smells nice either way. Great scent for summer and day time activities. Masculine smelling as well, like a slightly sweeter and fresher Cool Water.

This smells like a slightly sharper, less sweet version of Davidoff Cool Water. Not bad, but I prefer Cool Water.

The Animale house hasn’t let me down yet. Azul is fresh, simple, clean, bright, and punchy. Its an aquatic in my book. The main notes I get are freesia and leather. The leather is not the raunchy kind, but new leather [think white golfing glove]. I picked this up for $16 at Ross and I’m certainly going to get every penny’s worth out of it. Polling the family, they all think its a worthy spray. This is a masculine scent. As far as comparing it to Cool Water, I think you could compare most aquatics to most aquatics; this being no exception to that theory. If this is what Aqua Net smells like, show me where to get it so I can douse myself with it in my frag rotation.

Yes, it does have a Cool Water vibe, but the fruity top notes (more like Fruit Loops than real fruit) are quite prominent and transition smoothly into the freesia which remains in the forefront. I don’t get the supposed leather note at all. Overall, not terribly sophisticated, but certainly a tier or two above Axe or Adidas. Classy, playful poolside summer fragrance. Go for it!

So far I didn’t have much luck when looking for a twist on the same type of fragrance (in this case Cool Water). Following this thinking I’ve tried and bought blindly some scents which many call a slightly variation on the subject. What happens is that I found myself concluding, most of the time, that the original is better. So here I share basically the same opinion by BRH, even not knowing the “Aqua Net hairspray” – but I get the cheap feeling you said. And is definitely sweeter.

Azul is available for good prices and smells A LOT like Cool Water, perhaps a little heavier on neroli/coriander to give it a “musty” grape soda kinda feel.
I’m not really a fan of Cool Water, so I’ll pass on this one, but you may very well like it.

I just recently ordered this one as a blind buy (due to it’s comparisons to Cool Water, which I love). Boy, was I dissapointed. I don’t think this smells like Cool Water at all. (unless I got a fake). Azul smells more like Aqua Net hairspray to me. I don’t get any of the fruit or sweetness at all. To me, it’s much stronger than Cool Water and has a rubbing alcohol/aerosol cheap smell. I know, tastes are subjective, so maybe one day I’ll learn my lesson about blind buys:). Anyway, I’ll definitely be getting rid of this one.

It’s a fresher, fruitier Cool Water. A nice, slick bottle as well. Thankfully, not too many people sport this inexpensive well-blended scent, so I would recommend this to anyone who loves fresh fragrances.

Azul reminds me very much of Cool Water, but there is more of a fruity twist to Azul. The box photography is a good clue to the cool freshness contained within the bottle. The projection and longevity is pretty exceptional. You can snag a 3.4 oz bottle online for 20 to 30 bucks depending where you look – which is quite a deal for the quality of the scent. I guess Azul is ideal for warmer weather but I think it fairs nicely in colder weather as well. Azul is one of my favorite fragrances.
