Description

Azagury’s debut signature fragrance is totally elegant. Every element, from the
handmade box to the crystal bottle is about extreme luxury. Jacques Azagury has spent two years developing his scent.

To create the scent, Jacques Azagury has gone back to go forward. Back to the white flowers and the precious woods of the grand perfumes of the
20’s and 30’s. Catapulting them forward by reformulating them with the latest futuristic
materials.

Fresh ginger root and leaf, and cyclamen aldehydes are united in clean and fresh opening. An exotic bouquet of flowers is blooming in the heart (Himalayan jasmin, rose from Morocco, ylang and datura). The base includes cashmeran, Mysore sandal, Atlas cedar, and a dry amber note.

The fragrance range:

Eau de Parfum 50ml
Parfum 7ml
Pure Oil 5ml
Purse Spray
Luxury Body Soufflé
Luxury Scented Candle

This is a cool and refined and yet comfortable beauty. It is soft yet strong and enhances the wearers own scent perfectly – it meshes auras so well everytime!
Green powdery notes open up to a crisp but not sharp warm ginger note. And the juicy ginger gives the needed warmth and mingles with the slight yet strong jasmine. There is a woody base which gives depth and adds to the natural glow this fragrance envelops me in. And still I don’t feel this time that I smell like perfume, but that my own scent and this fragrance are me.
Perfect and stunning creation this is.
And this is what I imagine every wedding dress should be like and what I will always recommend to friends to wear. Because as of yet – I have to come across a person which isn’t having the same effect on their skin!
    Beautiful and timeless perfume!

It’s rare that a fragrance sweeps me off my feet so deftly. So much so that I want to meet it’s maker. Mr Jacques Azagury, you have captured my heart with your namesake perfume.
To me, this is art, but perhaps not to everyone else. Haven’t you looked at a painting that strikes a chord with you so deep that no one else could possibly understand? Like visual art, olfactory art is creativity, craftsmanship, technical expertise and spirit.
On opening, I’m immediately welcomed with gentle aldehydes and a hint of green floral which I’m assuming is the cyclamen aldehyde. Ginger then skillfully warms into the glassy green and sharpens the composition.
Then magic happens as jasmine starts to bloom. It takes a while for these buds to blossom. I read elsewhere that the jasmine used in Azagury is mogra/sambac, which is a little masculine and isn’t as heady as the jasmine used more commonly in most perfumes.
A whispered breath of crisp cedar acts as a perfect complement to this beautiful flower, unexpectedly augmenting it’s beauty without overpowering.
The wooded base is soft and warm and subtle amber adds to the vibration rather than grounding it.
Transformative and enlightening, culminating into an expert demonstration in minimalism. Overall, a very fresh, invigorating ginger-jasmine perfume and a must-try for ginger lovers. I have no hesitation in putting a crystal bottle of this lively beauty on my want list.

a striking resemblance to a mans after shave…. aqua velva I think. It doesn’t smell cheap though and it is fresh but just not for me.

High quality ingredients and a beautiful interplay between the jasmine and the woody notes. A solid like from me. All that’s holding me back from a love is the ginger — ginger accords often turn “sweaty” on my skin, and the ginger in Azagury is no exception.

LOVE LOVE LOOOOOVVVEE! Bought this “splurge” today at LuckyScent Bar in L.A.–the guy with the mustache was super helpful and willing to put up with us picky “sniffers”. I settled on this out of 5 selections that I had narrowed it down to, b/c it was sooo beautiful and unique and delicate. He says the Himalayan Jasmine in unique- its not the garden jasmines found in so many perfumes…utterly intoxicating- Goooorgeous bottle, I believe he said Baccarat crystal? IS also refillable…wow- I feel transformed! I will go back for more after I try out the samples that he made for me. The bottle design is also different from this picture-the cylindrical shape that holds the juice is no longer vertical, but horizontal.

I love this fragrance. The aldehydes are sharp at first but dry down quickly revealing beautiful notes of jasmine and spices. The effect is at once modern and reminiscent of perfumes of the twenties and thirties. After several hours of wearing this fragrance, those elements coalesce with balmy woody/peppery notes.
I purchased a sample of the EDP, after reading its description on a fragrance site. It did not disappoint me, the only draw back is the price (OUCH!). I liked it so much though I bought the 50ml spray. I wear it almost daily. The peppery notes make it warm enough to wear in winter, but it is delicate enough to be a summertime fragrance as well.

I bought this as a blind expensive buy; and I am so happy! It has become my signature perfume! It is different than the usual fragrances I wear. It has wonderful staying power too! It my “give me strenght” perfume, when I need it most; but I enjoy it all the time!

received a sample size from albert at bendel in NYC when I ordered CHILD purfume. I found a terrific scent that is not overwhelming but carries me to a place of rich but simple notes

    (Second Review)
Ginger always throws me; I associate it with the yellow ginger I plucked in Kauai, which was sweet and oily, but in perfume it can run hot and dry.
In Azagury it runs hot and dry; bringing to mind a visual of shifting sands across a desert. But there is a cold lift here, and since I don’t see iris I”m at a loss. The raspiness of cedar? The elusiveness of aldehydes? Maybe.
This is a wood heavy scent, The ylang ylang and rose are very faint, as if they were wispy clouds passing overhead. When worn on the decollete the florals become more effusive, as if a bouquet were brought into a sauna.
I really like this. It is an invigorating, active scent. I like wearing it when I need to focus or be creative. Well done.
