I blind bought this fragrance off of fragrancenet a few years ago when I was new to fragrances. It’s a decent fragrance but nothing special. The bottle is pretty cool. It has average projection and longevity. It won’t impress many people nor offend many people. It’s not a bad cheap fragrance but there are others that are better. It has a citrusy opening but as the top fades it turns into a musky, peppery, woody scent with lavender as the backbone. It’s not particularly fresh nor heavy. The drydown is very similar to Prada Luna Rossa in my opinion. Overall not a bad fragrance if you get it cheap but it’s hardly ever one I reach for anymore.

On the opening, and first half an hour it actually does somewhat reminiscent smell of what it named after – black caviar! And not in unpleasant way, I must say. Like served on fresh expensive bread with butter and some lime squeezed… LOL
It kind of at the same time very like all other fragrances in this group, but at the same time kind of very distinct.
Taking into consideration how inexpensive it is (without smelling cheap!) it should be considered as good buy. But again, taking into consideration how many more same or better quality frags around in this price range it maybe not worth buying for some. At the same time, it is much less common than other well known decent perfumes in this price range, and if you value not smelling exactly like everyone else without being way too far away from the pack, you could consider to buy it if you see it on sale. It is modest, unassuming scent that wouldn’t impress, but also wouldn’t offend anyone. Well suitable for Spring, Summer and Autumn, mostly day, but could work for evening and night as well, if it is casual, not a dressed up occasion.
    My verdict:
    Scent 7/10
    Longevity 6/10
    Projection 6/10
    Silage 6/10
    Originality 7/10
    Price to quality ratio 8/10

Axis Oud isn’t listed so I’ll put my review here. Note that there’s also an Axis Oudh-Wood but I haven’t tried that one (it may be the same for all I know). Oud is somewhat similar to vintage M7 up top, with the cherry and medicinal qualities, along with that sharp oud-type thing going on. However, there is a kind of charred or burning wood element that M7 doesn’t have, though it’s at the cost of smelling a bit “chemical,” at least to me. It’s nicely blended and never gets too sweet or generic, so unless you dislike this particular aroma chemical, I’d call this an incredible bargain (for you cheapo/oud fans), though I think I personally prefer Oud Intense by Jovan among this group. I’ve only seen it at a UK online store for about 10 pounds, and I don’t see any listed on ebay, though there are some of the Oudh-Wood bottles listed.

I had a 5 ml decant sample of this that I just used up today. To me, this is just ok to “meh”. It just smells like the average aromatic fragrance for men. I pick up on the “pepper” and wood notes more so then the others.

We are talking about a fruity-spicy scent, despite the fact that it is labeled as an aromatic. It is a soft cologne, but very good and easily pleasant. With notes of blackberry, lavender, bergamot and anise in the output; juniper berries, marine notes, cardamom, nutmeg and pepper in its heart and, in the base, cedar, leather and musk, this cologne stays on the skin for many hours, however the projection it’s not the best.
It is important to remember that this one is not the same Black Caviar from Paris Elysées, which is inspired by Armani Code, from Armani. They are completely different!
This one has a fruity beginning, with a heart that is heavy due to the pepper and the juniper notes and a base with a soft leather touch, but with a great musk. The aroma is very linear! Don’t expect great surprises from this one, even though it is a good cologne in many aspects.
The bottle is nice and they decided to play with the idea of a black caviar, putting micro black balls inside of it.
Aroma: 8; projection: 4 and lasting: 7. It worth to know it!

LOVE this cologne. My husband wears it regularly and he smells like Heaven when he does. It’s fresh, masculine, spicy (but not overpowering)and the citrus notes aren’t bitter the way they sometimes can be. Good lasting power and a “statement” when it comes to mens cologne’s. LOVE it!!!
Update: I’ve been wearing this a fair bit myself lately, and I have to say this *is* masculine, but it’s also quite feminine on my skin as well (not on hubby’s). On me, this turns lightly sweeter than it does on men. I absolutely love it and do hope we’ll be able to find another bottle soon (we’re running out)!

Reminds me of CK Euphoria a little, but it´s very very synthetic. It´s pretty uncomfortable at the beginning. Even being a cheap fragrance, not worth buying it.

A Blind buy from an auction site, very low cost, and prompted by Sami’s comment. As soon as I sprayed it I knew I already had this Fragrance – Bijan DNA for Men 2004.
I sprayed the Axis Black in the crook of one elbow, DNA in the other. 1 hour on and I cannot tell the difference between the two.
A fresh, Laundry type of scent, opening has a very slightly citric, powerful candy sweetness. Lavender is now becoming very prominent, with a marine edge as per the notes. Due to a very recent acquistion of DNA, I’m expecting this Axis Black will develop the same way. If it does, then that won’t be a bad thing, as I found the DNA to have an Oriental/Woody type of finish which I like.
It has a very unique quality, maybe a little overly synthetic in nature – although I’m not crazy about it, I can’t say I dislike it either. Thats just my personal taste though, as I can’t say this fragrance is mediocre in any way. Maybe back with an update later
Update: Although the Top & Middle notes are indentical (to me), the drydowns are very different. The DNA sems to maintain it’s sweet candiness throughout, whilst the Axis becomes very musky & woody. I like this fragrance.

Simply the best for the money, don’t believe me,try it and you will be hooked,i promise you:one of the best.
