Autour de Coquelicot reminds me of a more modern, softer version of Todd Oldham.
Both have the same sweet/sour intensely fruity opening and a soft, spicy benzoin drydown.
The main differences, to my perception, are that there is a significant amount of osmanthus in Coquelicot as well as a woody base vs an amber base.
I was worried that the fruits in this would be obnoxious and syrupy, thankfully that’s not the case. They mellow out nicely in a few seconds and are very well blended into the whole composition.
