In 2011, Eudora launched Aurien. Its rounded, gold-colored bottle carried a fragrance created for the exuberant woman. Shortly thereafter, it was the turn of the Rubra and Nigra versions.
In 2017, Eudora decided to relaunch the Aurien line and brought a new visual pattern, thinking about the relationship between women and jewelry, combining luxury and seduction into a single product through bottles that resemble gemstones.
Aurien Turquesa (Turquoise) was launched in November 2017 and is classified as oriental-woody, built with a bouquet of evergreens (known by the names Immortelle or Everlasting Flowers) as well as hot spices and the exclusive Eudora’s secret accord.
And there I was, again, trying to find out more complete information. And I did it! Aurien Turquesa has notes of mango, cardamom, cinnamon, pink pepper, mandarin and tamarind, at the exit; violet, jasmine, gardenia, immortelle, rose and water lily, in the body; amber, musk, cedar, sandalwood, coconut and patchouli, in the base.
On my skin, Aurien Turquesa is deliciously tropical. It seems that it was made by someone who vacationed in several coastal regions of Brazil, enjoying sun, sea, snacks and drinks made with exotic fruits. The mango mix with tamarind looks like a sorbet, ready to be mixed with vanilla essence. And the fragrance is much more than its classification. Sometimes it is fruity, other times gourmand. There are times when you imagine a caipirinha; others, a dessert created by a chef from a chic resort located in the Brazilian Northeast.
Is it a fresh scent? No! It’s a refreshing (and sweet) scent! For some people, it may even be cloying. On my skin, however, the notes are balanced in accuracy and my only advice is: do not over apply it on very hot days. As tropical as it may sound, I do not think it’s a fragrance for days with very high temperatures with the sun beating on the skin. But for the hot nights…uhm…go for it, because you’re going to get a lot of attention!
Aurien Turquesa becomes an oily fragrance when it hits the skin. The projection is great, but the lasting usually disappoint many people, because it is the perfume that lasts less when compared to the others on the line. Particularly, I can not complain about it. There is also a lot of comparison to a Marc Jacobs fragrance called Decadence. I have not been able to see many similarities with this one, but I think people should be confusing with some of its flankers.
The bottle is, in my opinion, the most beautiful of the line, because it is translucent, like a real gemstone. I think if the others had been made in the same way, they would have been even more beautiful. And it is worth remembering that this fragrance had the collaboration of Maurice Roucel, perfumer of international reputation.
Not wanting to appear biased, I strongly suggest trying to get to know this perfume, because all those people who have tried it so far, have fallen in love with it, including some men.
