This is classified as a floral woody musk but the praline note pushes this into soft gourmand territory on me. It reminds me of something else I own–something high end, but I can’t quite place it. The first blast is the standard Avon ‘hairspray’ note (Avonade if you will), but that fades very quickly.
My body amplifies basenotes, so I get a lot of praline, musk and amber in this one, but it is not heavy–there is a freshness to this that makes it wearable year round. Once again, though, a perfect one for this chilly Autumn morning. The blackberry in the opening is delicious and juicy, and that note carries for a good 3 hours, mixing with the vanilla and praline to create a warm cozy dessert. I don’t think you have to like gourmands to like this one, necessarily, but I do think you have to be ok with some sweet notes. This is very well-blended and smells much more expensive than it is. Labdanum is also one of my favorite notes and I do detect it here, giving a nice resinous ambery edge.
This is not too heavy…I get 4+ hours from 2-3 sprays before it becomes a skin scent, which makes it office wearable. More sprays would amp it into sexy date night territory. The lotion and shower gel that match this scent are also really lovely.

Avon Attraction and also Attraction Rush are long lasting, sillage is appropriate for work or anything. They both smell completely different to each other. The bottle is well made and a good quality sprayer with Avon etched on the sprayer. This is a keeper for me and I recommend it , well priced too. You will feel confident that you smell good wearing either of these.

On my skin, Avon Attraction started with a sharp and harsh peppery pear and musk. It shook up my sense a little. But to my surprise, it smelled quite fresh. That stage did not last for more than 5 minutes. After that, a vanillic berry amber combination kicked in beautifully and so attractive. In the dry down, it presented a few jasmine flowers and “praline”, creamy enough to wrap it up for me.
I definitely smelled something like this before. It is not an outstanding scent but it surely is a very good fragrance among other Avons and may be better than some outsiders as well.

I’m undecided on this one. I definitely smell the juicy couture similarity. There is a harsh synthetic fruity note that burns my nose a bit. Not my favorite. But I did get several compliments when wearing it. I think if you are a juicy couture fan and you’re looking for a cheaper alternative this could be one choice. Although Carmen Electra rrrrrrr with the silly leopard ear bottle is more like juicy couture than this. Both are decent facsimiles.

I recognised this as soon as I tested it but couldn’t think what it was like until I looked at the ‘this perfume reminds me of’ section and there it was, Hugo Boss The Scent For Her, very very similar, and of course then it’s then similar to Juicy Couture Gold and all the other mimic fragrances that followed each other like sheep. It’s nice but it’s nothing new, just Avon’s addition to the flock.

(Disclosure: Avon Rep) A superior Avon perfume. Fruity, warm and a little creamy without being sickly. I get no hit of alcohol when it’s first sprayed – I find this to be a common issue with Avon perfumes.
This lasts all day on me and I find it to be an excellent under-arm deodorant.
The large bottle felt a bit awkward in my small hands.

A very light fragrance , madagascan vanilla ice cream springs to mind .. hints of pear , subtle jasmin, berries – but only subtle – this is very vanillary and a tad musky .. i get very subtle tofee prauline notes but not overwhelmingly so , all round a nice gourmandy light fragrance – you need to spray a good few sprays for it to register imo… 7/10. Few hrs staying power 6/10

Tabbaco, vanilla and praline. More Tabbaco and musky vanilla.

Such a long time..let’s get to the point I must say this perfume is heavenly!! I find it rather tropical with the pear and the blackberry and the flowers! It’s edible haha very sweet although not a gourmand. It lasts a lot until next shower. I get whiffs of the parfum and can’t stop smelling myself. Today I put it on for the first time. I LOVE it!!! To me is a little like Jlo’s Live that’s difficult to find here in Argentina..I used to love it!! That was a sillage bomb..it has pineapple and citrus but shares the blackberry. Yummy!! Thumbs up for Avon!!!

Somehow, I get so many compliments with this one. I use the shower gel, body lotion, and the perfume. Very ambery, warm, yet subtle.

    First Impressions:
Sweeter than I expected after rubbing the sample at Avon catalog.
    Heavy on vanilla and praline.
This reminds me of Amorito by The Body Shop somewhere around years 2004-2005.
My man comments that this is like a flash back to the back seat of his car during his teenage years (vanilla Wunderbaum I quess) 😀
    Day 2:
Now I can smell the blackberry and amber better and the whole frag gets more decent
    Day 3:
The frag seems very weak: The only note I smell is cheap vanilla.
    One week after purchase:
I like it, not love not hate but like it. It may not be the classiest scent I’ve ever had, but then it isn’t and that’s it.
It has no annoying notes what so ever (pink rose is not dominating in this) and I think that blackberry-vanillamix is pretty unique.
    I would not repurchase this.

For me, it smells like watered down “Far Away” with prominent pear note. This pear note is what I like about this scent. Sweet-spicy, close to the skin and unmistakable Avon.
If you like “Far Away” but find it too strong for every day, I would suggest giving Attraction a try.

for the first time, one of my perfumes is still on my skin after more than 12 hours, usually after 3 hours everything is gone leaving no trace, i was really surprised to feel this in the morning changed but still there, really nice sweet but not disturbing. I bought this together with rare gold which i like much more but i’m afraid the second one won’t pass the three hours test :-/. Both of them are very nice, i don’t know why i ignored avon for such a long time, but some of them are really worthy for the quality and price

  14. :

Absolutely the best $10 I have spent in a very long time!!! This smells absolutely deliciously edible to me, it has praline in it although its not listed here. Total gourmand to me. if you havent tried it, please do, you will not regret it!!

I think this is a really descent scent from Avon! Every once in a while I come across one I am really impressed with by Avon. This is pretty and feminine and very wearable for an everyday scent. It is a great mix of notes that isn’t overly flowery, fruity, or musky, but still very feminine and not smelling like cologne, if that makes sense! I do think it smells somewhat simple and it kinda even reminds me of something I have smelled before from Avon (maybe its musky base notes?), but it is nice! I ended up buying a full bottle after sampling. It is a lighter scent on me, but I love that I still get whiffs of it throughout the day even after it seems like it has faded. I usually use about 4 sprays. Also, the body wash of this is really nice, too!!

  16. :

    4 out of 5

Not a safe blind buy. This smelled good on a scent strip, so I bought it, but later regretted it. It’s the most synthetic thing ever — smells like artificial berry scent mixed with the cheapest versions of amber and vanilla. Like a poor imitation of one of the Juicy Couture flankers. Plus, it has that weird pencil shavings/watered-down cedar note.

  17. :

    5 out of 5

This is much too sweet and light. This is mostly pear, vanilla, and musk. Is it the amber that classifies thos as woody? Nice smelling but boring

  18. :

    3 out of 5

i get a lot of amber actually with an undercurrent of blackberry. i also get quite a bit of vanilla. i like it. it’s currently a cool spring day and it’s working for me. i think i will like this a lot more in cool weather than warm. i find it a bet heavy for that. lasting time is poor, projection is decent while it lasts.

  19. :

I am blown away by how much I love this one. The amber and blackberries just WORK together. Living in the cold climate makes me so glad to have these delicious warm amber and vanilla beauties. Almost makes the frigid Manitoba winters worth it!!!

I don’t feel like writing a proper review, but enough said: I bought this perfume shortly before Christmas as a gift to myself 😛 And I’ve been using it since.
    It’s just lovely.
Light, elegant, slightly oriental to me. Fruity notes are detectable but very delicate. They add freshness to overally soft and warm, woody fragrance (musk and amber, my god, what a luxurious coctail this is!)
    Best blind buy ever.
If you want a feeling of a magical winter in an enchanted forest (not a proper review, I told you 😛 )- that’s your go-to perfume.
Edit: also- longevity isn’t bad, at least on my skin, and definitely on clothes.

Wow, wow, wow. I like my top end brands fragrances but often like to reserve them for evenings and nights out as I am into strong spicy, woody scents which can be overpowering for day time wear. Shop at Avon from time to time and like their perfumes for day wear. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this perfume. It smells great, luxurious, rich. However, down side to most Avon perfumes is that they don’t last two long. 1. scent wise, haven’t officially tested this but noticed the smell disappearing after 2/3hrs and 2. Their bottles are always on the small side. Either ways, great perfume. I don’t know why but it takes me back to Michael Kors whenever I spray it and l imagine all their glamorous models in his fashion campaigns must smell like this.

You are probably anosmic to it, happens to many people. I am anosmic, among other fragrances to The One and The One Rose, Fancy Nights, Dreamy Vanilla (by VS). Research which note you have prior bad experiences with so you could be forewarned which perfumes have a higher probability of having the same problem.

  24. :

I just received a brand new bottle and do not smell any of the notes listed. None. Sprayed it 20 times and all I get is watered down alcohol and a faint whiff of ambroxan.
ETA: socorrosouza: I think you’re right. I’m keeping it because it is compelling. Sometimes I smell it, Most of the time, I don’t. When I do smell it, it reminds me of Cacharel Gloria, but darker. Whether I can smell it or not, EVERYONE says: “you smell soooo good” when I wear it.

Attraction was launched in Brazil as an EDP with 30 % of extract. On me it lasts for over 12 hours (even 16 hours !!!) with moderate sillage for over 10 hours. On my skin it is a blackberry praline with ambery undertones that smell like a blackberry infused dark chocolate with incense-y background. It is beyond delicious.

  26. :

On me this is Golden Musk, but not a top quality, its slightly synthetic and middling quality.

  27. :

well done fragrance .it is modern , warm , sweet amber with hint of black berries . the sweetness is balanced. it feels like it is in the same line as Victoria’s secret fragrances.
    poor project and moderate longevity

This is a lovely perfume. It smells sophisticated and sexy at the same time. For the price, it is an excellent bargain. It smells like an expensive perfume. Avon did a really good job with this one. I highly recommend it!

Oh yes. Amber for days and sweet musk. It’s sophisticated but not stuffy. The sweetness is not overwhelming.

I’ve been waiting for this for a long time and now it’s mine. I see every woman here is reminded by different perfume through “Attraction”, my vote goes to “Love potion” by Oriflame. I’m not a good guesser, but my nose detects ginger among the other stuff and probably something soft spicy like cinnamon. Mmmmmm….oh, so feminine. Avon strikes big time with perfumes. Applause!

I absolutely love it. Very long lasting on my skin, none of my perfumes last that long and I have a big collection. Very unusual scent, I just love it. I have never thought that a fragrance from Avon would do such a good job! This is sweet fragrance when you spray it – berries, a bit latter it calms down and becomes a dry, clean ambery sent (if that makes any sense) . 10/10.

I got a card tester/sample of this in the mail. It’s advertised as “Captivate their senses with tempting blackberry, magnetic musk, and vanilla amber.” And despite it not being listed in the notes here, vanilla is DEFINITELY present in this. It actually smells very pleasant! To me, it smells like how a warm fuzzy sweater feels when it’s fresh out of the dryer. It has a comforting and clean smell, not unlike fabric softener or dryer sheets. I don’t get tobacco from it (former smoker, hypersensitive nose, I can detect that note anywhere lol), but I also am writing this review minutes after application. I’m tempted to purchase a bottle of this just for my pillowcases and bed sheets, it’s really very calming, I’d enjoy falling asleep to it. As it dried down, it reminds me of Royal Revolution by Katy Perry.
I’m not sure if I can comment on the sillage of this, as I feel the card swabs would be just barely one spray, but as I wear it, it’s very close to my skin. I can only smell it when my wrist is pressed to my nose. That could also be Avon just being Avon.

  34. :

    4 out of 5

Well I certainly didn’t get the same feelings, thoughts, or smells that were expressed in the ad. I tried this twice and got only a weak essence of cedar. It has no cedar. I love cedar. This is only worth the ten dollars I’d pay for the two bottles together. I like how they made them go together. Sweet idea!
This isn’t a bad scent. It just is so close and doesn’t last. For the price, in no way did it appeal to me. This is just nothing that my nose desires.

  35. :

    5 out of 5

Oh, I had my fingers crossed “Please let the amber and musk outweigh the berries.” Alas, it was not to be. A blackberry blast settled into a pleasant, simple-syrup of a fragrance with a fairly low sillage and good longevity (8ish hours). The berries are sugared, and they are the main note here. It never settled into a sultry musk but stayed candied and bright. If that is your thing, you will enjoy this fragrance. I’ll be looking for a swap partner or gifting it to my daughter.
The bottle is very nice, with gold sidewalls and a funky cant to the edges that makes it look like it’s going to fall over. It’s a pretty gold and glass, quite sophisticated–not quite my impression of the fragrance.

I was so looking forward to receiving Attraction for Women, as I scored it for a very low price ($8.50)on Ebay.
The top notes were initially fantastic – sweet aldehydes mixed with dark fruits reminiscent to me of a past Avon favorite of mine, long since discountinued call Devotee (from the mid 1980s, yes I’m old).
But, no sooner had I enjoyed the top notes they morphed into sickly sweet, sticky (plum?/blackberry?) dark fruits which were overwhelming.
This reminded me very much of Avon’s Amethyst. I guess this sickly, sticky sweet fruity note is quite popular now because of the positive reviews Attraction (and Amethyst) receive here and on the Avon website. I think I’m old school when it comes to this particular note, which so many hours later, I can still smell on me and on my clothes. It makes me feel ‘dirty’, like I want to shower and dump the clothes in the hamper to be washed.

  37. :

Warm vanilla. Shortlasting. Low sillage. Pleasant though. I can smell it only that moment when i spray it on myself. After that it’s all gone. Not even a trace left…It’s pretty similar to a dozen of other avon scents…It’s ok, if there’s nothing better coming your way…

  38. :

I bought this based on reviews (a 0ml spray). I love it, once the sharpness dies down. It is rich, sweet tobacco vanilla which I love. Ill almost certainly be buying a full sized bottle for my collection

My last try of buying anyting from Avon and it worked out! I am so happy. The bottle is nice and the scent is what I needed for summer. I smell something vanilla in it, so that’s probably why I love it.
This is only one fragrance from Avone, which doesn’t make me feeling sick.
It is not a good “keeper”, but for summer (and for that price) it is ok.

As soon as I smelled the rub on sample in the Avon book, it took me back to the lobby of the Luxor hotel in Las Vegas. They must pipe that tobacco type scent( it’s like a pipe tobacco scent, not cigarette smell) through their air vents. This perfume, to me, smells exactly like that scent. I have a couple other perfumes that have that sweet tobacco type smell. I’ll probably end up buying this, and hope it does smell like it did in the book.
Update: I bought the perfume, and the shower gel, and body lotion. I just sprayed the perfume, and it does indeed smell just like it did from the rub on circle in the Avon book. It definitely has a tobacco/musk smell, and it’s lovely! The issue is that it’s so light. I think I’ll have to really spray, spray, spray to even smell it much on myself. It vaguely reminds me of Victoria’s Secret Feathered Musk, which I also find to have a pipe tobacco, sweet scent. I don’t get much blackberry, although there is a certain sweetness, so maybe that is what I’m smelling. The bottle is super cool, and modern looking, I just wish it were stronger. This really is lovely though. After wearing it all day, I love it even more. I did refresh it a couple times throughout the day though.
The matching lotion is so weak smelling, it’s not worth buying. I haven’t tried the body wash yet, and hope it’s stronger smelling than the anemic, “scented” lotion.
Just ran across my bottle of Avon Mirada, and attraction smells like the l’eau version of Mirada. They share that tobacco sweetness, but Attraction is slightly more bright or sparkling.

I’ve been really into dirty berries lately. Add some patch, musk, or amber to berries and I’m there. This is sooo sweet but it is tempered with musk and who knows what else, I don’t get amber really. I ordered this for $30 CA for 1.7 oz with shower gel and lotion, an absolute steal for a scent even if it lasts 2 hours. The sample lasted for 6 hours on my wrist. Avon’s sample are always identical to the actual scents so I have no doubt the bottle’s scent will be the same but I will update after I wear it.
Edit: it lasts 4-6 hours – longer than many of their others scents. I have NO idea why musk is so low on the votes, this is a sweet musky fragrance. So lovely! Avon has always done musk well.

I must agree with Krissi on this – unfortunately after the first 2-3 min this frag becomes almost nonexistent(at least on my skin). To me this is a real pity because otherwise Attraction is a very beautiful fragrance. It’s alluring , but in a more gentle and subtle manner. On my skin amber definitely dominates, which I really like, and in the background there is the sweet and juice note of the blackberry. From time to time I can sense the musk, which gives it a warm and sensual feeling. Alas, it’s quite weak and again and again I must stick my nose to my wrist to feel anything. That alone makes me quite doubtful if I should purchase it or not…

  49. :

    3 out of 5

Krissi ,it’s so sad that you experienced it…I would ask if you got an old bottle, but being a new release it’s out of question. How could be a gloriously spakling fume so disgusting on you?
On my skin it needs 15 minutes to shine and is blooming into good sillage. Overall I’m not keen on the tipical avon base notes, but this beauty really makes a difference.
Maybe skins and weather or I don’t know….

Dreadfully disappointed in this. After initial spray I could barely smell it, it is so weak. After several more sprays on both wrists and neck, the best I could get was an unpleasant talcum powder smell with the faintest hint of berry but sadly, mostly the scent of a musty, damp towel that has been left in a gym bag and forgotten about for a couple of days. I literally have to push my nose into my arm to smell anything, it is that weak, and when I do finally get a whiff of something, it is comparable to a wet dog. If I was trying to attract anybody, this would be the last thing I would choose. Not a patch on Luck, which is gorgeous. I don’t think I have ever been more disappointed in an Avon fragrance. It is absolutely hopeless 🙁

  51. :

Beside Today this one is the next real hit from Avon. Not tipical Avon smell, God bless! Beautiful, warm, light spicy, a little bit smokey. Like a refreshing, tasetfull cup of spicy tea with a hint of honey in the beginnig of chilly automn. Golden light. Comfort fragrance still sexy. A big hit!!!!!
Reminds me of L’Artisan Tea for two or Bvlgari Red tea.

This perfume is like a headache provider for me, even if its nice to the nose, be sure to try wearing it for a day before purchasing, I never thought it would have that effect on me when I immediately purchased it after smelling the brochure sample.

  53. :

    4 out of 5

I wouldn’t call it an “animalic” perfume really. YSATIS is typically animalic, Sarah Jessica Parker “Lovely” or Paloma Picasso and the like… OK, delicate musk IS present here, but it’s more a woody, vanillic and slightly fruity type of scent. I smell some soft, white peony and tonka, a lot of sandalwood and cane sugar. And a lot of vanilla. It’s a more elaborate and not so sweet version of Avon LUCK. The base notes are really similar, but the heart notes are more inviting, mysterious and complex here. I’m thinking of keeping it as my winter perfume.

From Avon representative “First to Know” press release this will be available in Campaign 26 (US) or the last order before Xmas!
Honorine Blanc is an exquisite perfumer as already shown by her previous work for Avon. I am unfamiliar with Adilson Rato; yet if he is Firmenich and working with Mme. Blanc…I am guardedly optimistic.
The preview teaser insert (no smelly page!) lists HER notes as:
    Top note-tempting blackberries
    Base note-Vanilla amber
    And HIS notes as:
    Top note-ginger root
    Base note-smoky woods
Where you may ask, as I did, are the middle notes? Is this pair “heartless”?? Is this actually a subtle jab at the current state of modern perfumery??!
No. (Or IS it?) Avon’s single page flyer claims that both scents have a “shared heart” (aaaaaw!!) of MAGNETIC MUSK ACCORD (Avon capitalized that in totality with a decidedly bolder font). Just as the bottles lean onto and balance one another so too… if our intrepid perfumers hit their mark(s); one is (more or less) reasonably led to believe the perfumes will too.
Such a feat was attempted (hard to remember I know with so many direct market releases that flash, fizzle, burn *or not* and quickly fade) with Jon Bon Jovi’s “Unplugged” fragrant pairing a few Yuletides ago. I was enthralled with the idea of a manscent created around a black dahlia heartnote. Interesting, but ultimately underwhelming due to wan sillage and all too brief longevity, and a rather daring move to use a flower *noir or not* in a male scent that probably never panned out in the US market. Though intriguing enough, and at least a step above its stalemates that year; I bought the whole three piece EDT, hair & body wash and shave balm set with free leatheresque dobb case. It’s an all too well known example of “well thought out; but, ultimately, badly implemented”.
These teasing olfactory briefs, romantic tendencies of backstory and vague note lists tend to make me osmagine something far greater than what is usually presented. Here, we KNOW Avon can “do” musc. Blanc is the grand dame of fruited floriental amber. Gingery opening, magnetic musk heart and smoky woods sound pretty good and I am eager to sniff the work of this new nose from Firmenich. My rep’s allowing me to buy these from her, as soon as she receives them.
    Fingers (and nostrils) crossed…
Until then, smell swell & be well!
I’m hoping that the upgrade in perfumers will also carry through in the delivery. Many times, Avon has saved their best year’s releases for the holidays.
