The combination of the opening notes smells like a weird camphorous bay leaf. It smells very herbal with a spicy undertone and there is a slightly medicinal note too.
It develops into a different smell pretty much within about 10 seconds on my skin. The vanilla comes forward and it turns more syrupy then. Like a dark, slightly spicy vanilla syrup.
It also becomes a lot less interesting in the drydown unfortunately. It smells like a slightly watery resinous vanilla and some light spices. It vanishes rather quickly too. My skin eats this up! GOBBLED!
It’s the second one I’ve tried and not been super impressed with from this company. I’m kinda glad though as they are SO pricey!

Got a decant of this……definitely worth my leg.
This is top shelf, very unique, mild undertone of aromatic aquatic ( lotus, lime and ginger combo?) Opening with warm spice of cardamom, ginger that is perfectly contrast to coolness of incense, lavender. The combination create epic harmony from few notes.
Lavender smells so fresh but never overpowers, it adds great calming effect to the deep meditative incense note. Bit of vanilla keeps incense and ginger edge from too sharp.
Dry down got bit of sweetness through the ginger/incense, I am not sure where from (lotus? smells like mild fruits) so smoothly blended, hard to tell; a compliment magnet this. Masterpiece emanates strength, unspoken confidence, and groundedness. Composition has certain liveliness I have not come across before. Really well done…considering an arm.

This might be the most unique scent I’ve come across in some time. It’s somewhat fresh, like fresh ginger root rather than the dried powder, yet it contains warm and gentle spices. Cardamom is very apparent providing an edge of fruitiness, but as the scent lingers it becomes something like a delicately spiced ginger beer, a tad syrupy in nature. It has a comforting feel to it, but it also seems rather exotic. I think it’s a beautiful idea for a person who wants to replace their boring daily cologne with something that has some pizzazz to keep life from becoming mundane.
