Oh my nose is not mature enough for this, nope not at all. If I never have to smell this again I will be so happy. This is the most pungent, fecal oud I’ve ever experienced. My god. You need to have big brass balls to wear this one. I could smell it through the package. I didnt even apply it but I cautiously opened the top to sniff and now my whole house smells like a stable or even a tire shop full of sweaty mechanics.

This is a masterpiece. Perfect blend. The notes are straightforward and minimal, it’s the simplistic approach of Arabia, mostly based on individual notes, or blends of only a few. The notes are the essence of Arabic perfumes: oud, rose, sandalwood and amber, the most well-known and most frequently used (maybe apart from musk). Add some musk and you have the Arabian desert in your pocket. Great performance too. What else to ask for?
Wear this and feel like an Arbian prince next to your camel and fire under the moonlight of the vast desert. Quite surreal. For me, this is what Arabic perfumes are about, they make strong statements, they are bold, hit you in the nose, albeit magical and suureal, all the way without being too complex or confusing. Simplicity is divinity. For centuries, the Arabs have been using the same notes over and over again without being boring or repetitive. The mastery is in the blending.
You only need to know, this is not meant to be smelt right next to your nose, you’ll get a bit skanky smell that way, at least through the top notes. However, it’s meant to envelop you with an aura of fantasy. Just let it linger around you.
Believe me this is wonderful stuff and it’s not your generic Arabian scents, this is the real deal.
Ah, and the flacon alone is a work of art and like the scent evokes Arabian fantasies.

oh it’s a most gorgeous perfume!!! This is a beautiful oud, and a gorgeous soft, velvety sweet pungent rose; combined with the loveliest gentle aromatic and creamy sandalwood and wonderful soft, melting amber – and you get one dream perfume!!! It’s one of the very most beautiful oud’s I’ve smelt yet – and I just LOVE oud – the deep, animalic, rich, smoky, pungent horse-stable fecal and smoky!! smell is just delicious….divine!!! It’s heaven in a bottle!! And so strong and gets stronger as time goes on which I just loooove!!! And time sure goes on….for hours and hours…..it’s fabulous!!!
And speaking of things fabulous…..the BOTTLE!!!! Oh man, what a masterwork of art and beauty is the GLORIOUS bottle!! Oh my it’s stuuuunnnnniiiing!!!!! So heavy and ornate, and regal!!! I’m totally overwhelmed by the beauty and perfection of the whole thing. Amazing!!!! I love love love Arooq Al Oud!!!! I’m so thankful to have found it, and will love it forever!!!

Oud is a Unique wood and the smell it various base on the Region of it. I’ve blind bought this over in UAE, at first it was overwhelming compare to my other Oud based Fragrance “Kalemat Black By Arabian Oud” totally a different world complex ,elegant and Unique. on the other hand i started to appreciate Arooq Al Oud the more I use it the more it appeals to me.

I have had a this for some time, this is the first strong Oud I got a couple of years back. My first reaction was that of one overwhelmed and puzzled, but I wanted to go on sniffing my wrist when this exotic and beautiful note was gracing it, there was a new and very animalic sensation, one either likes Oud or not, and, boy, I did!! So, to the facts! Arooq Al Oudh starts animalic, funky, very smoky, smoky and smoky, and remarkably deep. The beauty here is that it is paired with sandalwood which adds a creamy dimension, Amber is there but gives a very subtle, balsamic sweetness, nothing cloying at all. Rose is subdued, submissive and in total love and awe of Oud, so she allowes him to run the show in the front line while she gracefully bows to his
superiority and adds only a gentle, aromatic input. Over time Oud carries on furiously smoky, the barnyard whiff still there, but Rose becomes just a touch more apparent. This IS a must for those who want to try or own Oud, a very realistic and sultry version of a great note. Can’t recommend this strongly enough…
BTW, gorgeous, Gothic, medieval style bottle, another plus….

The postman just woke me up knocking on my door…wasnt
to happy….that changed quickly when I opened the parcel he brought me…..
What an amazing bottle, heavy, gothic, totally over the top studded with rhine stones. It looked like something from Game of Thrones. The smell….lacking words really….the initial blast of raw rubber and fresh horse droppings sent me straight into heaven…
This will be a good day!!!

Arooq Al Oud it means (roots of oud). I have alot of oud fragrances but this one is unique, the bottle is amazing. one of the best oud I ever smelled. the opening is straight warm oud, but the drydown is better with the rose note, wood and a hint of smoky earthy smell and powdery. I think I also smelled a hint of musk. anyway the sillage and longevity are excellent on me it lasts 12+ hours. I give this 9/10
