This one is well named! It’s a simple, straightforward, “manly” fragrance (some might find it strident); it’s not sweet nor “modern,” but rather has a “barbershop” element that is front and center. There’s an herbal quality and a hint of woods, but it’s mostly a citrus-tinted fougere. There might be a very mild anisic type note as well. This is not an “Irish Spring” soapy fougere, however, but instead it’s dry, cool, herbal lavender, with an appropriate amount of musk. Overall, the quality seems reasonable, and there is no iso e super overload, calone, metallic, “synthetic,” or “off” quality to it. However, I do wonder who this will appeal to, other than perhaps older men who want an “office” fragrance. Since it’s not sweet and perhaps only a touch powdery, it’s not a good “daddy” (or grand-daddy) fragrance, and certainly not a “romantic” one. And it’s too simple and common to be of interest to the aficionado.
UPDATE: The woods become more obvious over time and a balance between fougere and wood notes occurs.

Cool! ;o))) I haven’t tried the fragrances yet, but the idea is absolutely cool ;o)))) I believe there will be a lot of fans of US Army fragrances.
