It’s definitely very oriental and unique for sure. I get a lot of incense, oakmoss and vanilla. All of it with a pinch of salt.
The vanilla here is lovely – sweet but not in a sickly way, I think the amount is just right. I don’t get any jasmine here, but I can detect pepper.
It’s quite heavy, so definitely not a summer frag as the color of a bottle might mislead some people. I guess this one could be also easily oversprayed.
Overall I like it. I wouldn’t wear it myself but I get the message. I can imagine it on both men and women, although to my nose it leans a bit more to a feminine side.
    7/10

This is gorgeous but I would prefer less vanilla.
I fully agree with the Eros comparison.
I totally disagree with the Oud Minérale and Sel Marin comparisons, they are not similar at all.
    Longevity and projection are incredible!
I left the paper strip at my office, when I came back 24h later, the smell was filling the room.

There is no denying the big disconnect between the name, the bottle and the actual fragrance. The bottle and name evokes a fresh, blue, Mediterranean inspired scent, but instead you get an slightly spiced, salty, everso incensey perfume with a touch of vanilla. All that aside, the fragrance itself is stunning. A sublime balancing act between salt, incense and oakmoss – a mix that could quite easily fail, but is saved by the sweet warmth of vanilla. There is a marine element to it (most likely from the salt accord and oakmoss) and I can’t help but think that this is exactly what Tom Ford was going for with Oud Minerale, but failed. This marine aspect is fleeting, quickly taken over by the incense and vanilla. After about an hour you are left with a warm, woody, incensey vanilla (as I said above, not what you’d really expect from the name or the bottle). You would wear this when you want something that smells inoffensive, expensive, warm, masculine and unique. Strength is very good, sillage is excellent. I’ve had many compliments when wearing this.

I almost bought this as I really liked it but the vanilla is just too strong. Why do perfumers need to put vanilla in everything? What does vanilla have to do with a salty aquatic? Soooo close to being great I’m kind of upset.

Hilariously bad for the price. Smells like Tom Ford’s equally bad Vanille Fatale

Quality, sober, romantic and a bit strange.
On my skin the salt note turns into a kind of fruity that does not make me feel at ease.
    Chemistry sometimes makes jokes.
Ladies should give it a try.

Armani prive hits the spot again with this wonderful fresh salty and beautiful done with the salty sandalwood and vanilla, nicely rounded up to perfection, but strongly reminds me of sud pacifique aqua motu, and the strongest saltiness of profumum roma aqua de sale, also heeley sel marin is totally different with the green sea mosses notes which are not so agreeable with some people.

Funny how we are akin to associate anything blue, or bleu in this case, to an aquatic with such relative ease when it comes to fragrances. I’m guilty of doing it, too. Armani says it’s their interpretation of what the stone smells like combined with a memory of India. Well, ok then, it’s about the stone.
Either way, I don’t even care. I find myself grabbing this by default most days because I start to miss it after a day or so. The salted incense and vanilla lying comfortably on a pile of moss and jasmine is incredible. It’s my favorite bleu/blue period.
Performance wise, this lasts a good 12 hours, even in warm temps outdoors. Projection is a good 4-6 feet for at least 4 hours based on the comments of others. It is totally inoffensive and suitable for any occasion, including the elitist activity of mucking stalls. Totally unisex.
I own Oud Minerale and they are nothing alike, nor do I think that this is remotely close to Sel Marin. Those are both great aquatics, but Bleu Turquoise is not even related to them.
I highly recommend walking right past a perfumania and stepping inside a Neiman Marcus and grabbing this perfect work of art.

Elitism made you buy this. This is an expensive way to say “I don’t shop at Perfumania.” *News Flash*… this type of vibe can be found in Perfumania. This turquoise potion rides a fine line between niche and designer. This is Significant Other friendly. This has the ability to sustain you for all of your days. The buoyant nature of this fragrance will stabilize your ego while providing mucho confidence. The vanilla sedatively tranquilizes the composition dampening the “blue” spirit of the perfume. This is akin to a Centaur; upper body is aquatic and lower body is oriental. Bleu Turquoise is good for what it wants to accomplish but the merit lies within the craftsmanship of the bottle.
    Update: Potent Potion for Congress!!!

I don’t get any vanilla on my skin, just slightly fruity aquatic notes. Not a bad scent if you like that sort of thing, but I REALLY don’t. Reminds me a very teensy bit of aqua di gio

Magical perfume that takes me back to every holiday I ever had. Really does capture the coastline and freedom and just puts me in a happy place. It wafts around almost all day and stays on the skin till next day even after showering. And that bottle!

…Come down to the Black Sea swimming with me…
Quiet September night by the ocean. The moon is full & low, the water´s edge is almost invisible, it´s dark & cold, salty breeze brushes your skin, you can smell wet sand & driftwood, seaweed, something smoky in the air /maybe it´s a beach bonfire/, fresh cut grass, sea foam & /God knows what´s wrong with you/ absinthe with its typical bittersweet & herbal aroma.
Try it if you like MiN NY Dune Road & James Heeley Sel Marin.

I tried this one today on my skin:
Nice, smooth, aesy to wear and long lasting.
Dry down is identical to Versace Eros. No wonder, both are created by the same nose.
The bottle is a piece of art.

Tried the Blue Turquoise. A nice concoction of saltiness, incense and vanilla (that’s all that I smell here). Immediately reminded me of Tom Ford Oud Minerale, but the Armani is more wearable and softer.

Quite an enjoyable and unique scent. I experience this as an aquatic floral oriental. There is a soft, hazy aquatic note that’s present throughout the development, and in some ways that note reminds me a little of vintage CSP Aqua Motu.
The aquatic accord is paired with spices (I smell pepper), and warm and sweet oriental notes.
I think Aurelien Guichard is very talented and, like his father Jean Guichard, often intrigues with unusual compositions that marry familiar accords in surprising ways (like Chinatown).
(Edited to add: Testing on my skin today, and the vanilla is very prominent. I would say that on my skin this performs as a floral vanilla with spicy aquatic facets. Quite different from my experience on the test strip, but still lovely.)
