Description

The new fragrance by Armani – Armani Attitude – comes in an interesting design, in a form of cigarette lighter. The fragrance composition is very sharp, intense and masculine. The top notes bring an unusual blend of Sicilian lemon and coffee, while the heart follows with cardamom and lavender. The base introduces cedar, patchouli, oppopanax and amber. This fragrance was created by three perfumers:Annick Menardo, Alberto Morillas and Olivier Cresp.

The ad poster features an attractive Italian-like man, with grease hairstyle, the incarnation of strength and elegance of Italian cinema.

Armani Attitude was launched in 2007.

What on earth went on in the minds of Armani fragrance department when they discontinued this but for example Diamonds is continuously available?
A coffee, cardamom and patchouli gourmandish masculine, if Attitude was released now it would be a success.
Maby Attitude was a few years ahead of time, and Armani didn’t predict the huge trend of gourmand perfumes was just around the corner? What a pity.

This was given to my husband by a friend. I so love the scent. It is so manly and heaven, indeed! Sad to say that this is not available anymore in the PH. Bought a smaller one of this last 2015 as gift for my hubby and was told this was the last of their stock. I so wish to have this again.

Some people here say that this is the most macho scent ever or very masculine…havent you tried Fahrenheit or Azzaro pour homme? for me Attitude is soft and powdery. Nice but not a discontinued perfume that i’ll miss like Gucci I or Ungaro.

I had this one in my collection for a couple of years, but just recently sold it. While it is a nice fragrance, i feel this is one that isn’t worthy of the praise ‘to some degree’ or the high price tag it now fetches! Firstly, the people who said this smells like Jil Sander – Man must be nose-deaf, as that one is a fruity musc and Armani Attitude is almost gourmand with its coffee, lavender and patch! The closest frag i had that was similar to Attitude was Kiton Napoli, which i also owned for many years.
The projection is okay for the first couple of hours, but then dies down to a skin scent after that.
The longevity is good at around 10 – 12 hours.
Like i say, it’s a nice enough fragrance, just not really my taste.
    Out of 10, i would give this a 7.

I am heartbroken that Armani/L’Oreal discontinued my all time favourite fragrance. When it was still in production it was a massive hit so I have no idea why they would pull it? I contacted L’Oreal who gave me the vague response of “We have no plans to reissue this fragrance”. I wonder, if enough people kick up a fuss they might bring it back? Until then I will savour a brand new 50ml I sourced for a ridiculous price.

The ultimate, the best, the champion…
Incredible ladies reaction (especially from the type of ladies that likes the masculine scents).
Powerful, sophisticated, elegant, smart, mysterious, seductive, masculine, addictive…EVERYTHING!
The successful modern macho, showing his attitude and confidence.
Some will like it, some will love it, some will maybe be just ok with the scent…but most importantly, everyone will notice it.
One of the best fragrances I have ever used and my signature scent for a long time. 10/10
….****and interesting….the fragrance community on youtube just ignores the fragrance. Besides it is discontinued, I think it still deserves lot more attention.

    Really good.
This is really, really similar to White Musk by the Body Shop (for women).

  10. :

The most ,,macho” scent ever produced.
I’m oldschoool lover but I must admit that this sent is more macho than all of my wide known macho powerhouses.
This scent is not much powerful, intensive, sharp or dark, it just has that modern-sexy-seductive vibe that no one can beat. Proof for that are reaction of women, they are crazy for this scent.
Exreme version is not as far as good like original. Extreme has some cheap-scent vibe.
The biggest mistake that Armani made is to discount this perfume.

ATTITUDE is the best release from this house! I only have six 5ml bottles to cherish! 🙁

After many years since my last bottle, I managed to get a full 75ml of this, (batch 2010). At first I was a little worried because there are many fake perfumes sold online nowadays, and even if the bottle is indeed the real deal, the content may be simply a mix of rubbing alcohol and many other unknown chemicals, and chances of getting the fake ones are seriously high. Yet, I was beyond happy the very moment I tried my Armani Attitude yesterday, the scent that I miss for many, many years. It is authentic. Yeay!
Well, as the advert suggests so as many others have said it, the warm aromatic fragrance brings the idea of an attractive Italian-like man, with grease hairstyle, the incarnation of strength and elegance of Italian cinema, yet still I couldn’t associate those two, for what I know, I just simply love this fragrance and I have no reason for that.
Knowing that there is no possibility that this would be brought in market again, thus my latest possession of Armani Attitude will be one of my most treasured, indeed.

I wonder, who else has emailed Armani lobbying for them to re-release? To date, one of the few fragrances I get universal adoration for. Pulled out an old, almost empty bottle from years ago, and nothing really compared. It’s sort of like Prada Amber Pour Homme in its uniqueness and the love it gets from passersby (do NOT smell alike, though). Bought Baldessarini and Lalique supposed-smell-alikes. Baldessarini again, as I think I’ve stated before, comes close, but disappears quickly. The Lalique has a headache-y synthetic oudiness to it. *sigh

One of the best (if not the best) Armani fragrances for man I’ve ever tried, absolutely gorgeous, deep, rich and classy, lemon-coffee-cardamom with a hint of patchouli and tobacco.
Attitude is quite complex and alluring, bitter, moderately linear and no “synthetic” or “cheap smelling” at all like someone (who claims to be an expert) wrote before.
The final result is a magnificent, well blended masterpiece and I can easily imagine why prices are now skyrocketing.
Attitude is one of the most masculine, inviting and dark fragrances around and women seem to really love it.
Annick Menardo, Alberto Morillas and Olivier Cresp did a really great job with this cologne and I must say that it’s worth every cent invested especially now that it’s sadly discontinued. A real treasure to keep and store with care so get it while you can before it’s too late!
    10/10

I’ll be honest. This perfume is a scam, a big big hanky-panky. I read the reviews and the description of the scent, and I thought this is a true manly, exciting, unique, cold weather stuff. But it isn’t. There is no coffee note in here. If you would like to know how to smell coffee in a perfume try Givenchy Play Intense or Thierry Mugler A Men Pure Coffee. The opening of Armani Attitude is smells like a 99 cent lemon essential oil. No coffee. 10 minutes later, the lavender and the cardamom will arrive, and the whole creation smells like a boring lemon+lavender summer scent. This isn’t the perfume of fall/winter. Not warm, not spicy, nothing. In the first 2 hours only lemon and lavender. 2 hours later, the basenotes become more and more stronger and this part of the perfume is very pleasent, but not worth the many. I’m very dissapointed, bad work from Mr. Morillas & Mr. Cresp, I don’t like it.
    – spring/summer scent for daytime. Citrus/lavender bomb, this isn’t a fall/winter scent
    – sillage is poor, longevity around 5-6 hours.
    – try before buy
    Scent (open, top-mid): 6/10 (x2)

What can I say that hasn’t already been said about Attitude? Nothing, so I’ll keep it short. It’s the s**t. Whoever pulled the plug on this magnum opus should be tried at the Hague for crimes against humanity.
I have a ~90% full 100ml bottle (2010 batch). I didn’t mention that for selling or trading purposes. I just wanted to rub it in your face.

I used to have a 30ml bottle of it back in 2008 and I really enjoyed how it smelled. My bottle got finished and I could not find it anymore. I heard that “Baldesarini Secret mission” was very similar to this so I went and purchased Baldesarini, which reminded me very much of Attitude but I was not really satisfied. Today I got a 50ml new bottle of Attitude and now I am comparing them side by side. I asked my younger brother to tell which one he thinks smells better and he actually went for Secret Mission (blind test). IMO they both smell very similar except that there is patchouli in Attitude which reminds me a bit of Prada Amber pour homme intense. Both are spicy and somewhat synthetic but that is not a problem as long as I enjoy the smell. Now that I have both, I think I like Secret mission more.

Amazing fragrance. Smells as if God himself breathed on you. But as per all the Armani fragrances of this era, there is very little projection, if any at all. I dont mind as I’ll occasionally hold my wrist close to my nose so I can get catch a smell of this lovely fragrance for myself.

Along with Armani pour Homme, from the 80s, this is the best Armani I’ve owned. Basically, it’s citrus with tobacco. Very classy. Don’t understand why it’s been discontinued.

I still can’t wrap my brain around Armani discounting this masterpiece?! And to this day, I get mad each and every time I think about it. Grrrrr…..
Anyhoo, this is far and away my favorite scent from the Armani house. When you first look at the note breakdown, you might scratch your head and think “how can these notes possible work together?” But boy-o-boy do they work in glorious harmony!
This scent is definitely about the whole being so much more than the sum of its parts. The scent is so unique both in smell and the way it’s composed. On one hand, it’s light and airy…..but still has a slight darkness and spice to it that adds depth and seductiveness. Luring people to get closer for a sniff.
Somewhat modest projection on me, but I thought longevity was fine on my skin at 6-8hrs. Performs perfectly for the way this scent smells and the situations/occasions you would wear it in. Leaves a lovely aura around you for those lucky enough to come into your personal space.
I SO wished they would re-release this….but until they do, I will cherish the 40% of my 1oz bottle that still remains. Get with the program Armani…pull your head out and put this back into production!!!

I love this perfume, from all the Armani line this is my fav one ! I got it years ago when it first came out from my parents as a gift. At that time i wasn’t so much into perfumes and wanted to have this just because i liked the bottle and thought that “beautiful bottle beautiful perfume too”. The kind of a ‘blind buy’ that went to be so worth it. The scent is amazing, versatile, pleasant, so refined with that warmth that coffee and patchouli give in the beginning, settling down, sweetened with cardamom and amber and kept fresh by a pinch of lemon, like a gentleman . Too bad this is discontinued ! Hope i find it somewhere in stock !
    9/10

The scent of Armani Attitude is absolutely amazing but is let down by poor longevity and almost non-existent projection. If you look at the team of the perfumers who have created this smell, you might even pick it blindly! But it seems like the trio of these heavy hitters forgot to put fixatives in this perfume!!
Honestly one cannot go wrong with the scent of this fragrance. Its absolutely sophisticated, delicious and quite versatile, but this just doesn’t project. If you thought D&G The One is worse then you might just be in for a shock!
The opening of the scent is wonderful, i get lemon and coffee with a hint of lavender. The middle is all about lavender, coffee and a bit of vanilla which gives it a creamy vibe. The drydown is dominated by amber, patchouli and lavender and is quite pleasant to smell. I don’t get a gourmand feeling at all from this fragrance even though the notes suggests otherwise. Its definitely masculine with a touch of softness in the base provided by amber. It also smells wonderful if put on shirt and leaves your clothes smelling nicer!
I wished that it lasted and projected longer, it would have been one of the best fragrance of all time in my dictionary.
In my opinion it had the potential to be a classic but alas it would not be!
The best fragrance from the house of Armani purely from the scent’s perspective.
The lovers of this fragrance should also try Paco Rabanne Black XS, Zino by Zino Davidoff and Mont Blanc Exceptionnel.

Very nice scent, I have agree with thoushaltnotdefy the dry down smells like a weak Davidoff Zino. I kept smelling it on my wrist and thought to myself, I know that smell. Then it came to me Zino but weaker.

Back when this was released I was working in the first department store in town to stock it. There was a massive promotional launch for it and everything. We were all given bottles as part of the launch, and it was an instant winner for me. I actually never thought of it as a lemon-coffee scent. It immediately reminded me of the smell of my grandparents’ house–very coniferous/cypressy with a nice clean patchouli base. They planted a lot of very fragrant cypress conifers years ago used patchouli incense sticks wrapped in linen to keep moths at bay. It’s a glorious scent in the right weather conditions, Got a lot of compliments wearing this, and it wore very comfortably. Was guttered when I heard it was discontinued. I’ve just ordered some ‘Secret Mission’ (which supposedly does feature cypress) in the hope that it will be quite similar–if it is, I shall report back!

Geordieboy – whats her name? btw – toon toon!
lol Yes this is indeed one of my all time faves, i first got bought this as part of a set in a miniature pack from my mam and took it on holiday with me where i got excellent results and complimentos so i ended up buying a big bottle whilst i was there. Sadly this is discontinued (wtactualf – why!??) now but i still managed to buy a bottle of 50ml for only 45 quid on the bay and a couple of clone bottles, secret mission by Baldessarini smells very similar but is missing something, i have an actual clone of AA but i cant remember the name, it begins with Y and they call it “abolute” – i got that from poland on ebay and is a good substitute since its no longer available. I love the masculinity of this fragrance and the lemon opening, being a coffee lover and of Italian ancestry this frag really has it all for me, my wife loves it and it makes me feel confident n sexy wearing it. Bottle is cool as fck too, love it 10/10!

    Why is discontinued???????

  33. :

Opens with a blast of coffee, dark chocolate and lemon. As it dries down lavender and patchouli begin to emerge. It has a very earthy smell. There are also powdery notes that mix in well with the chocolatey smells. It’s a very dark scent. It’s not one of my personal favorites but it is a good scent nonetheless.

BRING THIS FRAGRANCE BACK! We should start a petition. This scent is far from the best performer for longevity or sillage but it has a lingering presence which smells gorgeous!

  36. :

    4 out of 5

As colinmailard already stated, “at least a bit far from the clichés the rest of the line is so stuffed with”. Perfect definition.
And, besides the beautiful zippo-style bottle, there’s nothing really special into this patchouli-coffeed one. I even gave my 50ml unit to my father.
The scent its not bad (although i can see why it was discontinued), longevity not that bad but projection is a joke.
It’s existence is not necessary, so please no “discontinued-fever-frenzy-hype” about this one. RIP.

This cologne is the truth! I have to thank my brother again for this one. This one smells great for a very long time (12 hours plus on my skin). Why they discontinued this cologne is beyond belief, bonkers to be exact. Though limited, I will definitely be purchasing this in the future. Is it my absolute favorite? No. But man does it smell good. I would give it a 8 to 8.5 out of 10.

After listening to Redolessence’s review and realizing that I had one of the small 5ml samples (from Groupon), I realized I needed to try this. The coffee/lavender/lemon blend struck me as puzzling when reading about it, but upon trying it, Armani Attitude is revealed to be a brilliant blend, something that truly thrives on the combination of notes rather than one specific note. It’s coffee without being a gourmand and it’s lemon and lavender without being overly fougere.
Performance isn’t spectacular—opening projection is very strong but it dies down relatively quickly and doesn’t last more than a few hours before being a skin scent—but this is still something that I needed to track down and buy a bottle of, even give its discontinued status. This might be the best Armani scent I’ve ever tried, except perhaps for Rose d’Arabie. I recommend fans of coffee especially to track down a sample and perhaps obtain a bottle while it’s still circulating. Overall a fascinating and very enjoyable scent.

Im not sure if I am the only one, but this has a striking resemblance to Kokorico! Perhaps the patchouli and coffee combo that gives of the Earthy aura. I will credit Attitude for being blended precisely; rounder, smoother composition. I am a big Kokorico fan, and moreso Attitude. Ill be keeping this bottle, especially now that its discontinued.

Wow … I believe that , without doubt , this is a great fragrance and has its own personality!. When I smelled for the first time also came to my mind the olfactory notes of Burberry London and tobacco, however, this version is more intimate and subtle. In my skin projection is moderate and the silage is good. Prohibited for minors, is an adult and masculine fragrance . I use it on formal occasions and night meetings.

  46. :

Real shame it was discontinue, as it was one of the best ever. If you really miss it, Tom Ford Noir is nearly identical.

Sophisticated and strong. Opens with black coffee and a hint of lemon … joined by amber and lavender … and then cedar and patchouli. With amazing duality … bold and modest … bares the essence of the classics. Bottle … amazing. Juice … unique. A great scent!

I love this scent. Dont know if it is discontd. ( tho i think so).
It has lemony effect for sure mixed with coffee.
But to me it resembles more like coca cola kind of smell which i love.
A very unique smell also . I havenot smelled something like this in years. Very different , very unique , manly , sexy.
It is not over powering also. The only negative thing is longevity and subtleness of it.
I have to spray atleast 10 squirts of it on my arms and shirt to have it work for like 6-7 hours.
If only it had power then this would be my lovely signature.
    8/10

  51. :

    3 out of 5

A lot of people seem to compare this to Tom Fords Oud Wood, I don’t get that, to me it smells more like a watered down Davidoff Zino, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. This is a good versatile, masculine, every day fragrance.
    7/10 from me.

  52. :

    4 out of 5

I smelled this on a stranger and it smelled great , it suited him he was an urban cutting edge type. But on a strip I didn’t like so much, lemon and coffee were astringent, reminded me of cleaning granny’s coffee table
On the right man it works well but by itself, reminiscent of furniture polish.

  53. :

    3 out of 5

I cannot say I love it because this statement is reserved for my signature fragrances. But this cologne is incredible! The fine fresh sicilian lemon is impressive, then the warm & smoky patchouli come at the opposite. I like very much patchouli and this one is patchouli in a bottle.

  54. :

    5 out of 5

Armani really nailed it with this one. Beautifully dark and sweet. A unique and unexpected creation centered around an idea of masculinity, and Italian culture.
Opening: Zesty. The lemon is bright and vibrant, the coffee feels rich and sweetened with cardamom. Cedarwood and amber linger playfully in the background.
Longevity: Decent. Lasts about 2-4 hours on me
Sillage: Decent. 1-3 feet 2-3 hours.
Gripes: Only comlaint: Discontinued. Fragrance makers need to do this again; to hell with making man-boy fragrances for the sexually insecure. Make things that spark our imaginations and our memories! Give us what we haven’t seen stop expecting to win every person with one generic fragrance and billions of flankers.
Best for: This is really a great cold-weather frag, but you could pull it off for a classy ocassion on a summer night. It mellows really well in about 30 min, so apply early.
Overall: I could not be more impressed with a fragrance from a big corporation. Attitude is provocative, innnovative and it stands out from a crowd of other boring smells. Coffee and lemon with dessert and sunset at a cafe on the mediterranian coast. A good fragrance should take you somewhere else, somewhere new. Attitude is the ticket.

This is a new fragrance in my collection, although ive tried it many times i only just bought it lol! for me it was a choice between this, prada luna rossa extreme & spicebomb, i chose this as for me & my body chemistry the notes just work really well, i get at least 8hrs longevity & pretty decent projection from it, the notes sound wierd when on paper but when you actually smell it its a deep, sexy fragrance, women love this on me!
    Overall id give it 7.5/10
Id give a higher score but its so damn expensive in the UK!!

  59. :

I think there is something wrong with the bottle I have, because this fragrance is not spicy or aromatic, I can’t smell any coffee or any other “aroma”; it smells just like my lavender scented nail polish remover?! I bought it for my boyfriend for the new year’s and I tested it on one of his clean sweatshirts, and I’m very disappointed. Hope it will smell better on his skin. Otherwise, I will have to pass it forward to someone else.

  60. :

It’s really a good freg , masculine & a complement getter , but the strange thing that I can only detect the lemon & coffee but no problem as i like both of these notes.
    Good bottle design as well.
P.S. I have the extreme edition.

Amazing fragrance – very sophisticated, sensual, masculine, and makes me feel more confident wearing it. Longevity is quite poor in my case, however a lot of scents tend to be so perhaps that is just largely down to my skin type. Wish there were more like this!

I smelled this scent when it first came out, and like the, well, attitude. Woody (cedar?) and some kind of sharpness seemed edgy and cool. I smelled it on a man a few years ago and thought it was sexy.
I bought it for my husband but he has hardly worn it, I don’t seem to like it as much either, last time I smelled it the woodiness was too strong, like the chips we used in our rabbit cages, and some citrusy-coffee aspect. Not so good.

It smells great for me and can be used during the day yes, of course, in workplaces reserved sunshine. It’s a shame that I prefer the sweet scents. This reminds me of a worker bank or law firm. A pity.

One day I was buy Armani Attitude Extreme… And don’t smell before Armani Attitude… Blind buy… I don’t like smell Attitude Extreme because smell so synthetic, bored and I think not good fragrance. Than I was buy Hugo Boss Red and again disappointment for me.. When I was decide to change my fragrance I test to Armani Attitude.. Smell very masculine, characteristic, and elegant.. Like as Bvlgari Pour Homme.. Armani Attitude so different another fragrances so clean not bored and 10+ hours stay on my skin.. Armani Attitude so similar to V de Vakko but Attitude better than Vakko.. Coffee and Amber notes overpowering.. This is so good scent for me.

It has a feminine undertone to me, so I don’t like it that much.
Good for night time, with a black shirt.
3/5, because of my personal taste and because there are other frags in my collection that I much prefer over this one.
Try it first, don’t buy blindly.

Ahhh so it’s Lemon & Coffee? That’s what those notes are…needless to say that’s not a happy combination, certainly doesn’t sit well with me!
I immediately didn’t like this, something just isn’t right in its composition.
On the plus side though, I love the Zippo lighter bottle …it’s very stylish.

I was at a department store with my wife smelling Gucci scents. I casually mentioned that it was a shame that Gucci Envy was discontinued; I was trying to sound intelligent. The attendant agreed. She asked had I tried Giorgio Armani’s Attitude; she thought it was quite similar. I hadn’t. She sprayed some on a card; it smelt ok, but I didn’t think it smelled like Envy. I put the card in my pocket, but by the time I got home I couldn’t stop smelling it. I kept sniffing the card, and I wanted it so badly. I drove the 30 kilometers back and I purchased it the next day. Heaven help me if this gets discontinued.
It’s a warm, smooth, inviting gourmand scent that lasts about 6 hours on me, but even 12hrs later I get whiffs of it. A great winter scent that’s very soft to the nose. My wife loves it.
This is a must have for people who like warm oriental gourmand scents.

This has that satanically unbelievable smell from YSL Rive Gauche – like a coffee flavoured cupcake on your face. Sweet flower and herb patchouli. Although the former seems to be better, this one is not bad – a bit of coffee in here too. These are sweet fragrances, you’ve been warned. 🙂
7/10 (same rating as YSL Rive Gauche)

One of the Few Armani’s that I really loved. It was the perfect Fall/Winter coffee lemon scent that lasted for up to 8+ hours on me. This was a sexy sophisticated and modern scent that they sadly discontinued. YSL La Nuit has replaced this one but I still wish it was in production. Why do they keep discontinuing the colognes I really like? Its hard enough already to find the one that works.

Woody, musky, fresh and god damn sexy.
Day time or night time, casual drinks or corporate meeting; this scent can do it all and do it well. Very versatile, and generally everyone seems to enjoy the scent from my experience. If you’re a bloke that likes to smell interesting and sexy – jump on this.
    I love this fragrance.
