Description

Aramis was created in 1966 and dedicated to men who appreciate tradition and classic, and this is the reason why this perfume is always modern.

The composition is built around woody, sharp notes, which are very powerful and masculine. Aramis is one of the few contemporary fragrances in which the well-known intensive leather note can easily be recognized. Aramis is one of the brands belonging to Estee Lauder. It is very popular in America, where fragrances with a stronger character are preferred.

The opening notes are grassy green and fresh, spiced with cinnamon. The heart is woody with pelargonium, which possesses an intensive floral-spicy aromatic scent. The perfume ends with a massive leather note.

Top notes: artemisia, bergamot, cinnamon, gardenia;

Middle notes: pelargonium, patchouli, vetiver, sandalwood;

Base: leather, oakmoss, amber. The nose behind this fragrance is Bernard Chant.

This is a mighty butch brew!
I remember wearing this in the 70s and 80s. I always felt my friends and I stood out in the bar. We probably did.
It’s still a beautiful scent. Leather and cloves and soapy citrus and musky goodness. Not sure how this would play on a younger guy today, but we rocked it back then.
When I wear this I feel like I need to be alert in order to live up to the power of this classic.
Absolutely worthy of being in any collection, even if you aren’t crazy about it.
    Which you should be.
    It’s that good.

I had lost hope but in the end I came to the concept: Do not beat the classic. From here the various Azzaro Pour Homme started, Van cleef pour homme, etc. but none of these managed to keep up with this olfactory poem. Aramis is told with its various facets neither sweet nor bitter but ANIMALS. In all its purity, this fragrance remains unchanged but always sought after as a source of great emotions as well as memories. It maintains a sense of virility and candor, a sense of unsettling naturalness. If I was in the 60/70 years this would have been my scent for the cold seasons but being very young I’m not ready to wear something so mature unless I want to attract women aged 40 and up 🙂
P.s.the coconut is in the last breaths of the fragrance, sharpen the nose well and you will feel it.

This is all about musk. This isn’t no mamby pamby (my pops favorite saying)fragrance. This is alpha male personified. Dated or not Aramis still smells amazing and it still draws compliments. If you’re into the fresh aquatics that have flooded the market these days forget this one. Aramis is a classic and rightfully so. Little boys stay away. This is for men

While Kourus is the King, Aramis is the prince among men’s fragrances.
It takes, however, matured and refined olfactory senses to appreciate this unrivaled classic.
Don’t bother to even go near this if you’re ideal perfume is one that can be occasionally shared with your wife/girlfriend!

My regret is that I did not buy this fragrance about 30 years ago when I first heard about it and it was probably much stronger than it is now. I was unsure at the end of last year whether I would like it or not. I bought a bottle and it turns out that I love it !!
To me – It smells sweet and musky. I can’t get enough of it when I spray it on and I have to keep smelling my arm. I only wish that it was much stronger as it used to be.
I will definitely be buying again !!

An enormous strong man’s fragrance. Very manly, like a suit from 1968. Aldehydes galore, synthetic, classic.

I’d also like to add how in love I am with the Concentrée version of Aramis. It’s incredibly well blended and always out-classes many more expensive fragrances. There is a tobacco heavy note upfront which is reminiscent of heirloom or hand-cured pipe tobacco, similar to the note I get in the tobacco heavy blends of Shalimar.
The concentration of the “Concentrée” is as good as is promised – a single half drop applied to a pulse point will radiate fragrance for many hours.
The spice notes are blended well into the background, while the amplified castoreum and leather mingle with a genius note of bubblegum. If I’m not mistaken this scent is overall closer in composition (but not in strength) to the Aramis Shave Oil of the Nineties.

this is the fragrance for a very conservative, retro sexual, rough and macho alpha male; when wearing this cologne you feel like the bear marking his territory, letting the other bears know that he is the boss; along with QUORUM, POLO GREEN and GIVENCHY GENTLEMAN these 4 fragrances are manly as hell, just for the man that doesn’t need to be advertised as when he enters the room, everybody knows he is the leader.
I can describe this fragrance this way:
if you ever watched the Clint Eastwood film “A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS”, he is riding his horse through the Arizona desert, wearing an old pair of Levis Jeans, his Texan boots are covered in fine dust; he’s got on a dirty long sleeves cowboy shirt that has one pocket where he keeps his cigars; he looks to the horizon, to the far away mountains; then his right hand reaches for one of the cigars in his pocket,; he puts the cigar between the lips and as he smokes away, the sweat rolls down on his forehead mixing with the gold dust from the sand, he grabs an old ragged handkerchief and clean the sweat off his face; his eyes pierce the distance as he rides away to his destiny;……..the look of a man that cannot be forged in the fire or broken with the hammer, that is ARAMIS, the image of a man in a bottle.

Aramis invokes the image of a classy alpha male. It’s the man you want to be. Well groomed and well off. The kind of man who wears a gold watch, gold necklace, and a gold pinky ring.
This guy’s not a follower and he’s kicking some butt and winning at stuff for sure!
I can see Victor Newman from The Young and The Restless wearing this.
Wear this one to your next business meeting and get noticed!

I have it for more than a year now.
I enjoy this fragrance very much, but I can’t say that I love it. Why? Not because of my taste, but it is very difficult to wear.
It is crazy strong and dark. Yes! It is “dark leather” to describe it with least of words.
When I wear this fragrance I have the attitude of “weather you like me or not, I AM HERE… and you can’t ignore me!” – That’s what this fragrance is about!

  12. :

Definitely not a fragrance for everyone but it’s really special and in my opinion lovely. It’s a very adult scent – I think it’s very romantic but I can imagine it also smelling comforting – the scent of a classy paternal figure as well (like Gregory Peck as Atticus Finch, that sort of vibe). The oakmoss, musk and vetiver at the base is so oldschool it’s timeless – one of my favourite combinations wherever you find it.

This is an aromatic, spicy, musty, powdery, leather powerhouse. Reminds my girlfriend of novelty soaps. It’s a classic. There’s a lot to like here.

Was introduced to aramis at about age 12 in the 1970s, when my mother bought me the soap for Christmas. The man she dated for a while was a father figure to me–so loving, generous and classy–and wore aramis. I went on to wear the deodorant, cologne and after shave as well. Aramis is still one of my very favorite fragrances for men today. In addition to enjoying the way I smell when wearing this masculine classic, it takes me back to many happy memories of growing up in Chicago. The nostalgic benefit of aramis is indeed a comfort at times in an ever changing world. Another benefit of wearing aramis is it is so unique–nothing like today’s mainstream designer fragrances. I enjoy knowing my fragrance is different, and unlikely worn by other men around me.
Recently found some vintage aramis on line, and find it to smell better than what’s currently available. That said, IMO, if one purchases today’s formulation of this masterpiece from a major department store separately (I’d avoid the gift sets), it is still very much worth owning. While many might recommend limiting aramis classic to cooler months due to its leathery and spicy notes, I wear it when in the mood throughout the year–casually or for work. If wearing in the summer, I just wear less.

Aramis definitely sends me back to my teenage years and high school. I haven’t had this perfume in ages but remember the aroma vividly. When I did wear it consistently, the clothes waiting to be laundered at the end of the week were screaming with the evidence. My body chemistry changed or it wore out its welcome or both. I may try it again and see what happens. It definitely has its place in the history of men’s fragrances.

In 1980 I overheard two girls in the corridor talking about Aramis. They both agreed, if a man wears this, it is just like, wow, swoon, you’ve got me!! I secretly went straight to the nearest department store and bought a bottle. I loved it. It worked. I’m still married to one of those two girls. It became my signature scent for the next 30+ years.
It was much stronger then. The kind of thing where you walk into a club full of people and cigarette smoke, and everybody turns their head, knowing you’re wearing Aramis. OK, I’m exaggerating a slight bit, but it was quite overpowering. And smelled better than now.
I at first used simply the 24 hour anti-perspirant, which was just as beautiful and strong as everything else. Then, when that got reworked, I went on to the after-shave, and then to the cologne. It was only a shadow of itself, but still smelling great and still quite powerful. More than two sprays would be crazy. Lately I’ve moved on to the Concentrée version, which is hard to find, but a little closer to the original.
And, well, admittedly this is dated. Nobody but my wife has given me compliments for wearing this for at least a decade or two. But I’d say it is still a very manly thing to wear.

Too low priced online. I am afraid of it. How can an original be so low cost? May be there is no reason to be afraid. Any one can confirm that a 110 ml bottle, costing around 25 USD, has a longevity of 7 hours, which is the shorter than Aramis projects?

Blind bought it as an introduction to the classic chypre genre. I’ve had my eye and nose on Tom Ford Noir Anthracite, but then a reviewer compared the latter to Aramis, so I thought I could perhaps save some money while getting a similar effect. Yes, well…
    DAY 1, on skin
Little did I know that the opening of Aramis smells almost exactly like Quorum. The same dirty green industrial-soapy bitterness, somewhere between a medicine cabinet and a summer house garage. Some green notes from a nearby coniferous forest, some motor oil leaking, something decaying, an empty beer bottle from the last week, insect repellent, soap, darkness and moisture. I’m guessing the main player in this bitter game has to be artemisia (wormwood), because the accord has some similarities with absinthe and wormwood tea.
But whereas Quorum turns on my skin totally rancid and sour in a few minutes (giving me a gag reflex), Aramis retains the initial definition of bitterness, which at least isn’t totally unpleasant and could even be intriguing. At least you can rest assured that you don’t get anything like this from modern fragrances. In fact, my nose tends to find earthy and bitter notes stimulating (much to the chagrin of my GF) and I would compare this bitter effect to the middle and base notes of Guerlain Vetiver, but this is too much for me, a bit more and it would be downright offensive.
A few hours later, I get basically the same olfactory impression, but the notes are now tamer and I begin to understand why Aramis could be an acquired taste. But it is still quite unamiable and I would probably choose another fragrance for just about any social situation, be it office setting or – God forbid! – a date night. I imagine that if you wanted to appear more macho while drinking some (definitely not craft) beer with your male friends in a bikers’ pub, Aramis could be your choice. Otherwise, I would not recommend it as a blind buy. And I definitely wouldn’t recommend it in the morning after such a beer night. The sprayer is nice though, very wide and even distribution.
DAY 2, on skin and clothes
To my surprise, my nose has gotten used to the Quorum-like bitterness and I start distinguishing the earthy sweetness of myrrh and patchouli beneath. I guess there is also leather, but it’s not as “photorealistic” as in Tuscan Leather, Ferrari Leather Essence, Fahrenheit, Dior Homme Parfum, Montale Aoud Leather etc. It’s quite rubbery and sits more in the mix, contributing to the overall animalic vibe. I quite enjoy the interplay of herbal bitterness and earthy sweetness, but there is also a kind of boozy sourness I’m not a fan of. It is not a classy liquor smell (e.g. Bvlgari Man In Black, D&G The One, CH Men Prive). It smells more like cheap brandy through the pores of a mildly drunk person. And then it hits me — Aramis has the “animalic” smell of drunk grown-up men of my childhood in 80s. Masculine, playful, a bit sleezy and obnoxious and silly, somewhat interesting, but also alarming and not very pleasant. Of course, they probably over-applied it, and in this case, Aramis gives you the perfect opportunity to be *the* archetypal Cologne Guy. It really does smell like “classic men’s cologne”…
    CONCLUSION
My batch is from 2016 and the performance is OK. On clothes, it persists easily to the next day and seems to project, on skin, it becomes skin scent in 2-4 hours, but the traces persist also to the next day. The smell itself has definitely some depths to discover, but I probably wouldn’t have bothered without the “legacy” aspect, since the first impression was very coarse. While I would say that Eau Sauvage and Guerlain Vetiver (from the same time period) are really masterpieces and still relevant today, I’m not so sure about (reformulated) Aramis. It could have a positive effect on the conditions of light application and impeccable personal hygiene… But there are so many better fragrances out there today performing similar functions (e.g. Antaeus from the 80s) that the main reason for Aramis today would be to convey the nostalgic effect or give a surprise moment, e.g. when worn by a person in his 20s. At least, it would be more original than to wear Denim Black.
Also, my GF didn’t like it at all (that being mildly said). But since the profile is quite complex, I’m willing to reserve the option that this could be a grower.

I just bought a bottle of this, but I know this scent very well. I’ve gone through a couple of bottles over the past 15 years. If I had to make a top 10 favorite fragrance list, this would be on it. I’ve loved it as a kid, as a teen, and as an adult, and it will probably always be a staple in my wardrobe.
The batch for this bottle, B65, is from 2015, if Checkfresh is correct. I’ve rarely complained about reformulations, but damn, this definitely suffered from it. The DNA is mostly similar; it’s undeniably Aramis. However, it’s a tad fresher, a bit astringent, and the drydown is not nearly as rich. I’m not happy about the latter two issues, but I don’t mind too much either, since it’s still magnificent. The part which really, really bothers me, though, is the performance. It wasn’t necessarily a nuclear or obscene fragrance, but it still performed well. Now, it’s only a fraction of what it once was. I get maybe an hour of decent projection, and maybe 6 or 7 hours as a skin scent. Not bad, but not comparable to the 3ish hours of projection, and 12+ hours of longevity, which I used to get. I’d be happy with the current performance if this was a fresh, lemony chypre like Monsieur de Givenchy or Eau Sauvage, but that’s not what Aramis is.
It still smells absolutely mesmerizing, but I’d stick to a vintage bottle.

You only need to know one word to describe Aramis: MAN. The absolute proof of Aramis’ full-blooded masculinity is the universal consensus. From complete beginners to fragrance connoisseurs, Aramis leaves no doubt that this is for a man. Whether or not that happens to be your style is beside the point. There is no mincing words, no mistaking this for anything else. Aramis is a pure, undistilled, manly scent that embodies all the qualities associated with traditional masculinity from the most primal and rugged to the suave and debonaire.

I would like to say a word about this perfume. I had about two bottles of it in late 80’s, with nuclear performance, especialy when it touches your clothes. At the beginning it has that animal-urine scent, which evaporate later and then it changes in something milder even fruity.
As I am shure that today version is destroyed by reformulation I advise anyone who is interesting about this great vintage smell to look on e-bay or so on for older editions, before 2004.
But just take a notice, when in drydown this scent is not that interesting, maybe was special then, but today is not, just don’t expect something out of this world.
Same effect you can get with original Cerruti 1881 for men, which is cheap but has the same scent vibe as Aramis.

  28. :

One of the most masculine fragrances around. The opening of Aramis I could take or leave but the mid and base are where its charms lie. You need give Aramis some time, then it will envelop you in its rich, warm, woody, leathery and spicey aroma. I sometimes forget how good this fragrance is between wearing others in my collection. A sniff at the nozzle wont reveal how good it is – it needs to be worn, then you will see how the dry down can become quite addictive.
Buy the EDT but also buy the Aftershave which adds to the intensity while also performing well as an ‘after shaving lotion’ – both found reasonably priced online.
A fragrance for a real man, regardless of your age.

    Bought a bottle recently.
Disappointing. All those rave reviews and a cat instead of a lion.
    I respect reviewers, its personal.
But I am sure those reviews are based on the original formulation and not the new one.
Another legend that seems to have become a history note.
Gave away my bottle to an almost stranger.

I tried the current formulation today at Macy’s. Aramis is still there but with less richness and is somewhat screechy upon initial spray. Longevity wasn’t too bad although not great. I have no idea about sillage.
The current juice reminds me of Paul Sebastian Fine Cologne in a way. The leather in this is reminiscent to the one I notice in Jaques Bogart Oud Edition, so much so that I don’t need this in my collection. If I was stuck traveling with access to only a Sephora I might buy this.

Many moons ago, when I was in my early 20s and it was the early 1980s, I managed a nightclub. A small, smoke filled sweatbox where underground Hollywood punk, country, rockabilly and reggae bands got their start. Some acheived real success, while others disappearred never to be heard of again. The scent that waifed through that place each night was a mixture of leather, b.o., beer, patchouli oil and clove cigarette smoke from the Rastas and various other kinds of smoke, if you catch my drift. Until one night. A tall, handsome, long haired, Robert Plantish 70s reject strolled in. And with him came an aroma of pure sex in the air. His body chemistry and Aramis Super Cologne (as I later found out) had the women flocking like vultures over a fresh carcass. He was a musician, an avid record collector and took pride in his unique appearance and grooming. He also ended up asking me for my number at last call. We dated for quite a while, but ended up realizing we made much better friends than lovers. He is still my friend some 25+ years. He’s seen me through 3 engagements and attended my wedding to my now husband of nearly 20 years. This wonderful friend and I have a secret that not even my husband is privvy to…I insist that every man I have been in a serious relationship with, wear Aramis original cologne. Preferably, the Super Cologne if I am lucky enough to find it on eBay. I buy it, they wear it and they have never asked me how or why I LOVE this scent on my man so very much! I must say, though, that it has never smelled as arousing on any man as much as it does on my original Aramis man. Classic Aramis is “sex in a bottle”. Every man should try it.

If this isn’t a classic male fragrance, there are none. I generally hate when fellow fragrance addicts lament about how fragrances have changed over the years but I will add a tidbit about how this one has changed. The initial fragrance bomb is still there and the overall feel is the same. But it hasn’t the same dominating and brutal longevity. That being said, what it has lost in strength may make this one more appealing to modern noses. Thankfully, it has retained its refined masculinity—all the leather and musk and just a touch of dampness that’s overshadowed by this fragrance’s overall freshness. This one would never be created today and that’s why I love it.

Very, very earthy for me on the opening. Better smell from arm’s length until the drydown really kicks in, this is after two to two and a half hours on my skin. For me that’s where the magic really happens and the beast has been subdued a little for the better ( my personal opinion ) the earthiness has calmed leaving room for all those nice treats that were buried below it. Now that’s what I call CLASS.
    Opening…6.5/10
    Drydown…9/10
    Silage …8/10
    Longevity.8/10
    Strength..9/10
    Appeal …9/10
    8.25 Aramis gets from me.
The opening doesn’t rock my boat, pity, worth the wait though for the drydown that’s something special.
Reminds me of ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ saying, as once the cover is lifted on this, it’s a great read. Enjoy.

I have an issue with this fragrance. First of all, I have tried it the other day on myself – I`m female, btw – and no matter how I sniffed and sniffed I couldn`t recall ever smelling this on anyone before..Or if I ever did it blended in so much that I couldn`t detect it..Is this a good or bad thing I wonder?
Second, well, the leather is too much and raw and I get oakmoss and patchouli mixed kicks in with an awful stench on me, which never ever happens with any other perfume, and generally my skin carries all scents well..So wondering what is it that I`m getting here? I know it does smell different on everyone..The reason why I tried is because it apparently shows similarity to Cabochard, which I`ve always been curious about. But somehow it is a disappointment as it is..:-( I guess I should look for someone who`s wearing this (a male) or maybe try a different version..

The Guerlain Derby with much more reasonable price.
The savory spice aspect really has a familiar ring with the carnation/spice in Derby, so does that soft soapy tonic-water top.
However Aramis doesn’t have that slightly smokey edge. Instead it has a stronger aromatic undertone to balance the rather thick savory feeling.
Derby’s dry-down is on the richer soapy side, compare with Aramis’ harder spicy-er base. Both with thick body of leather/spice, Derby has aldehydic foam on top, whereas Aramis chose solid (a bit rigid) aromatic ground.
At their last stage, Derby reveals a rather clean woody vetiver base, but Aramis can no longer hide its slight hint of hot plastic tone.
Though I love the more nuanced base of Derby, considering the huge price gap, I’d chose Aramis.

This particular review seemed more difficult to right than any other. I think my hesitance stems from the potential to do this fragrance a genuine disservice by not finding the right words to describe it. Aramis is a titan. Aramis is elegance, it is grace, it is effortless class in a bottle. Aramis is a wonderful mix of tobacco, leather and spice. I’m resisting the urge to make obvious ‘Mad Men’ comparisons, but this is what I image the entire 1960’s smelled like. It’s dark and heavy, so I urge you to apply the fragrance sparingly.

When I wear this masterpiece from years ago (although reformulated many times) I feel like I have just come out of a high class barbers after being groomed to perfection and ready to conduct business or begin a great successful evening out. This stands the test of time and to prove it. It is still sold from the shelves at Macy’s and Lord & Taylor and many other department shops. I can not think of any other fragrances that have achieved this. It is available at a fraction of the department shops prices at Fragrancenet(dot)com.

I absolutely love “old men scents” like Tabac, Williams, Old Spice, Pinoud and so on. After reading about Aramis (a lot) I ordered one and oh – my – god! Blake Carrington, cognac, class and classic came to mind. At first a bit flowery, then some nice spices and then – then comes the perfect, classy smell of leather. I love this scent, it´s warm, classy, old school (but not out of date) and really masculine. My new scent! I would recommend Aramis anytime!

Very harsh opening but once dried down is quite pleasant (after atleast half an hour). I find it a bit feminine for my liking which is interesting as most find it masculine. Not getting patchouli, I get MUSK, floral, oakmoss and leather.

There’s nothing more I can say here that hasn’t already been said about this classic scent. I love it and it is, in my opinion, one of the best perfumes ever made.
The only thing I wanted to add is that I just got my hands on the 3.4oz “concentree” version and it.is. INCREDIBLE.
All Aramis lovers, who wish the current formulation’s silage/longevity/accords were still as strong and potent as the vintage NEED to get this!

Wow. On me it smells like something straight out of Boogie Nights. Dirty… macho… I like it at night and on the weekends, but I can’t afford any more “visits” to HR during the work week.

This is Aramis, masculine, sophisticated, polished, gentlemanly, and strong. Recently ordered this and am trying it for the first time. I gotta say, this is a sweet but masculine fragrance! I have the EDT version and it must be a reformulated version. I don’t get the hard leather with this. It is quite masculine though, the aldehydes bring out the earthy notes and the leather. But it’s a sweet leather, not a hard sour leather. At first spray it is borderline old man smelling, like the aftershave my dad would wear in the early 90’s, but dries down to a more sweet earthy leather scent. While it maybe earthy, it does have a rich sophisticated scent as well. It’s hard to pinpoint all the fragrance notes listed but I get some light florals, plenty of aldehydes, and more earthy tones. This fragrance combines the confident sophisticated gentleman well without smelling to brash or egotistical. This fragrance should definitely be a must in every man every ages grooming cabinet. What Chanel No5 is to women’s perfume, Aramis should be to men’s cologne.

Probably THE most unique and best “leather” cologne for men ever designed. It’s Legendary.

    The Indian reviewer
Has that dirty oily vibe to it. The same kind of vibe that’s present in the green bottle Jaguar for men. Here in India we had this smell particulary during school time when that one boy in the class would wear a certain kind of hairoil that would smell hideous by the end of the day. A mix of something medicinal and sweaty. Woah no don’t get me wrong, Aramis is not like that. It’s a gorgeous scent BUT it has this above mentioned smell as a faint constant underlying note. I waited for the drydown, it gets musky sweet and stuff but this note stays.
So a sure NO for youngsters. This is for the neatly parted hair, tweed suit wearing, brown shoes businessmen who drinks milky tea in a shanty eatery, carries a side leather bag and drives an olive Mahindra jeep.

The definition of CLASSIC. Extremely masculine, extremely sexy, strong and influential as far as I’m concerned to modern day men’s perfumery. Its been reformulated to the hilt HOWEVER that is NOT necessarily a bad thing. I do have the vintage formulation (opening the .17 oz bottle actually made the entire house light up with the smell of this fine aroma) and comparing the two I would actually prefer the one they’re selling as of now. Simply because its easier to apply as far as not going over the edge which is easy to do…..I would say two to three sprays max on the neck and one on each wrist and your set for the day. It opens with a heavy citrusy musky cinnamon blend…very musky though. Very bitter but nice. Very nice. Once it cools down a very strong leathery note comes through that will dominate whats left of the citrus and cinnamon and end with musk and a woodsy smell that literally reminds of an old antique shops in Vermont. In fact if I had to describe what the smell reminds me of I would say an old-fashioned antique store filled with the finest spices and freshest wooden floors around mixed with florals and musk.
My father had worn this for years and I remember it very very well growing up. Smelling it brings back so many memories of my childhood days….going on vacation. I just remember it bringing me to places that are akin to my past. I even remember my ole man describing the scent : “only certain guys can wear that” LOL He was being funny but the thing is he hardly wears it anymore cause after asking him about it recently he says “ahhh its a little to strong” so he goes with acqua di gio. But I’m sure if he smelled the reformulation he would reconsider.
In closing I would like to say that ANY guy can wear this if they choose. And that goes for any fragrance but especially this one. It really carries a load of sophistication and class with it. To describe it as simply masculine doesn’t do it justice.. it was the most popular scent of its time of release in the 60’s. And is still 50 years later worn by millions of men around the world. I give it 2 huge thumbs up. Cheers!!!!

This scent for me is fortifying. My father has worn it ever since I can remember. He’s tall, intelligent, very quiet, but a strong type. Shy but assertive when he needs to be.
On him, I smell warm, dry woods, some raw leather, but not rawhide, more like something that was once smooth and supple but has become worn with love for an eternity — like an antique book — a little rough around the edges but refined and holding more value as time goes on.
The aldehydes are gorgeous in Aramis, gentlemanl
