Flora Rosa is rose-berry perfume done right. Slightly sweet rose perfectly balanced by tart berries. In typical Aqua Allegoria fashion, the notes are few but the composition is beautiful. I find myself reaching for this one often in the spring and summer as it is refreshing, airy and classy.

I always wanted to try aqua allegoria line of guerlain but they’re not widely available here.flora Rosa is the first and only one I’ve tried and I’m so impressed that decided to buy it even if I have to order it abroad
I didn’t expect to love it because red berries translate as very sour for me and I don’t like sour zesty fruity scents.luckily they’re not really sour on me.I’d rather call them tart and sweet
Flora rose opens as a super pretty fruity floral.a burst of juicy, fresh, tart and sweet, sparkly red berries(very much like raspberry)blended with a youthful rose which is very natural and not over powering.I can also detect slightest hint of something like green tea sometimes, but not that I can call it a green scent
It’s so beautiful, refreshing and uplifting.I expected it to be very light and faint, something I can just smell by pressing my nose to my skin but on me,it projects quite well! I can smell pretty wafts of this fresh çcfrose-berry scent all around me at least for an hour.it takes two hours for it to calm down to an almost skin scent, this usually happens for me in less than an hour so I’m pleased with it’s projection not just because I can easily smell it.I’ve already received two complements and it was not even a full wear!(I don’t consider 2,3 sprays as full wear) longevity is about six hours on skin
Another surprise was that I can detect iris while I usually can’t pick it up when it’s not prominent in a scent.this blend of raspberry, rose and iris in it’s middle phase have a lipgloss kind of smell which I die for
Dry down is a musky rose, powdery and clean.in this stage I sometimes have an illusion of smelling a whisper of white florals in background
I can’t choose which stage I enjoy more, all three are very lovely
It can make an easy to wear, ageless spring, summer perfume. I wish I can manage to find a bottle as soon as possible, there’s just 2mil left in my decant it’s a great blend of my favorite notes and I love it very much

On initial spray I definitely get more of the berries. This immediately reminds me of that pink Mr Bubble bubble bath. It’s fruity and sweet smelling but clean.
The rose comes out more on the dry down and is so lovely. This is a very youthful and bright rose. This aint ya grandmother’s rose fragrance that is for sure.
The final dry down is a warmer and softer rose.
It last a very long time. This is one of my favorite rose fragrances yet.

Valentine’s Day gift along with Rosa Pop. I prefer the Flora Rosa which smells more rosy and less synthetic. The rose is soft and pretty, and it lasts longer than Rosa Pop. Good for warm spring days. The red berries also remind me a little of Mon Paris. Overall I like it so far.

love this rose scent. the mild smokiness at the begining makes it quite unique. sadly it’s been discontinued.

A floral and tart combination of rose and rasberry/summer berries with a hint of soapy violet at the end. This is a simple but elegant, fresh summery fragrance that stays close to the skin. Fantastic for everyday spring/summer wear and will probably suit most people. If you like roses this is definitely worth a try.

Fresh, tart berries with a hint of sweet rose. It’s a very simple, straightforward scent. There’s no musk or complexity to be found. I love simple, clean scents, so this is fine for me. I’ll wear it, but it isn’t a love. I’m big on rose scents, and I like for there to be something special about them if I’m going to add them to my wardrobe.
The prettiness of the bottle does partially make up for the wow-factor that the perfume is missing! I’ll enjoy seeing it on my perfume tray.
EDIT: I owe this scent an apology. As another reviewer said, the AA line is supposed to be “simple pleasures…” This is truly a lovely fresh scent that’s fruity without being too sweet. I kept sniffing myself all day. I’ll definitely continue to wear this!

Guerlain Aqua series is risky choice for me. I have this particular aqua but is terribly disppointed that there is not much floral (rose) or fruit (berry) on me. What is it on my skin is a harsh bitter green dry herbal with a bit of suggestion of artifical sweetness. It causes headache as well. I am suprised because there isn’t note that suggests such a strong green

This is just lovely! The best rose scent ever. I really love those Aqua Allegoria scents!
It’s rose and tart berries. Fresh, light, uplifting and still interesting enough.
Rose note smells like natural rose bushes growing in the garden, very fresh and natural.
Berries reminds me of crisp cold morning in the moor.
It’s a summer scent, but it’s full of optimism, so I am considering buying it for autumn/winter.
Best things are simple, like this perfume.

On my search of a green watery rose I came across a bottle of this.
It’s a green and light rose scent accompanied by the berries and a musky dry down. The berries are a bit sour preventing it from becoming a flat rose scent. It’s very pleasant and uncomplicated and I would consider this a musky berrie-rose scent. It’s not exactly the watery rose I was looking for but it’s a nice spring/ summer fragrance

I expected this to be far fresher given it is part of the Aqua Allegoria line. Sadly my skin doesn’t do well with berry notes and this smells sickly sweet and sour on my skin before fading to a sour powder smell. I had higher hopes for this but should have listened to the reviews!
Edit: Had a lovely Ethiopian female uber driver tell me how much she loved the way this smelled on me. She called it a perfect winter perfume – spurred a long conversation about fragrance which made the trip go by quickly! I have come around to this as a light workday fragrance for cold winter days, but still not too keen on the berries which go so tart and sour on my skin.

This is horrible. It’s super synthetic and smells like a cheap kiddie body spray 🙁 Very surprised considering it’s a Guerlain!

Stained glass rose. I smell the berries and the rose in equal measure but it is a clear transparent rose. Not as a Youtube reviewer claims Fructis flavoured. I really love this one, through it is not “serious” and is very light. Dries down to musk.

This one would have been nice to have around a couple of months ago when the weather was unbearably hot. It’s a cool and refreshing fragrance that first smells of a jammy tea rose. Half an hour later you are left with the dewiness of a tart rose, musk and orange blossom. It’s got good longevity and projection for an Aqua Allegoria. It’s very enjoyable to wear and a fairly simple scent. Some days you just don’t want to think too much about the perfume you are wearing.

Bought it with a 40% off discount, I would say I’m pleased to have it for my very first rose perfume.
A bit too tart at the beginning, but after a while it turns into a gentle, clean, gorgeous rose scent along with a hint of green. The berry itself was fine – not too overwhelming but it definitely made the whole scent more crispy.
Quite a delicate scent but, It didn’t last for long in my case, only about 3~5 hours, plus it’s the type of scent that’s only noticeable if someone comes very close to me – like an actual flower. I like it that way.

I got this last year in a travel collection of AA mini splash bottles (the others were Herba Fresca, Nerolia Bianca and Pamplelune) — I’ve used them mostly to dab at bedtime, enjoyed them all with the exception of Pamplelune which turned up the dreaded cat pee note on my skin. Flora Rosa is the one I’ve reached for most often, and now that summer has rolled round again I went for it and ordered the smallest spray bottle.
Even though red berries in fragrance aren’t usually my thing at all! I tend to find them cloying or sharp, but here they’re light and pretty and sort of minimalist gourmand. The berries in Flora Rosa remind me of crisp rosé wine or of home-made redcurrant cordial which is such a nice, refreshing Scandinavian staple. Little bit of raspberries mixed in, only lightly sugared, rosy-pink and sour-sweet. The rose is dewy and delicate, and the musk and possibly iris gentle the tart notes a bit. (Can’t say that I pick out a distinct iris note but it might be there in the little powdery element in the drydown.) This may be just a blushy-breezy summery bagatelle, but somehow it’s perfect just so and it makes me happy to splash it on. 🙂

This is my sixth AA and my first let down. It’s ok. There is nothing offensive about this whatsoever. It smells quite natural, as the whole line should, but it just doesn’t move me the way the others have. I do get rose and some berry. Not too sweet, not too sour. It is very very light though which hasn’t been the case with the others. It may be that I’m disappointed in this because I received my bottle of L’Artisan Drole de Rose in the same order and I’m in love with that. It’s is a hard competition and this time, for the first time, Guerlain AA lost. Still, I’m batting way over average with five to one loves to oks. All this said, I think it’s a high quality perfume and would be lovely for anyone looking for a mild, fruity rose scent. And a bonus is it never turns old lady. In conclusion, lol!, I’d love to swap this for something of interest! Let me know if you’d like to. It really is darling, but Drole de Rose is more “me.”

A true spring/summer-scent. Fresh and a bit sweet Roses, some red Berries and Musk. Elegant, chic, flirty, uncomplicated. A happy and a sunny scent. timeless -both for the teenager and for the mature woman. Also a great scent to mix with darker/woodier parfumes, I tried La Prairie Platinum – a wowfactor indeed.
En äkta vår/sommardoft. Fräscha och lite söta Rosor, lite röda bär och Musk. Elegant, Chic, flirtig, okomplicerad. En glad och solig doft. Tidlös – både för tonåringen och den mogna kvinnan. Oxå en fin doft att mixa med mörkare/träigare dofter. jag provade La Prairie Platinum – wow faktiskt.

I know some say this is too tart for them but it doesn’t seem to be so tart on me. I wore this today and received quite a few compliments. Of course the berry is quite pronounced. The rose is quite stately yet simplistic and together with the berry it is balanced on my skin. The musk is light as is the Iris but then that is just fine because this is beautiful. I am in love. The Aqua Allegoria line and most of Guerlain are so wonderful. The AA line is not the longest lasting but I find spritzing myself to be a real treat anyway. I cannot wait to get Teazzurra next.
    10/10

Guerlain AA- Squeeeee !!! High expectations, & the Rose here does not disappoint- She is beautiful, lush, & true, but, unfortunately, competes in a losing battle against tart (overly sour) berries. I want this rich, elegant, Rose in full bloom to dominate, w/ just barely a touch of berry to amplfy the sweetness of Rose in comparison. And, call me greedy- I want the listed Iris paired w/ Rose in the heart (to soften the noxious sour berries), & Musk as a basenote to ground the composition. Instead, this is straight up, linear, 2/3 sour, unripe berries & 1/3 perfect Rose, playing peek-a-boo against each other: Sour berries prevail. I detect no promised powdery Iris, no Musk, nothing else at all. I realize Guerlain AA’s are meant to be simple pleasures (and I have other AA’s that are perfect Summer frag’s), but the sourness very quickly becomes unbearable; And the fab/true Rose just teases, without ever commanding center stage. This would have been better as a Rose soliflore (b/c the Rose is indeed stunning!). Do try if you enjoy primary *sour* berries, w/ perfect Rose in a supporting role 🙂

I know that Flora Rosa havn’t got roaring and wowing here on fragrantica or massive followers, some complain it doesnt last, some its not rose-y enough, some that its one-dimensional. No intentions to persuade you.
I already learnt that certain fragrance-profiles die on ones skin and blossom on anothers. Simple as that.
On me is a charming fragrance, which keeps its depth during long hours, I smell dozens of things in it, – crushed stalks of green parts of plants, red berry bush which grows near roses, crisp and sour, even peonies on the morning, musky-citrusy… About such compositions I can say – all most complex things hide inside simplicity and other way round.
Its a young musky morning rose in buds, surrounded by berry-trees and tiny droplets of morning dew on the grass, indulge yourself in barefoot walk at 5 am. If you have got a garden like that)

I bought it in Charles de gaulle airport, it’s cheap (55 euro for 100ml). The scent is so romantic, like a sea of rose. But I have to re spray several times a day to keep the scent on my body.
I really love it, it’s special and can be my signature.

this is a very pretty simple rose scent with a soft fruit background; however it disappears fairly quickly and only lasts a few hours max. on my skin. if you want a clean non fussy pretty rose this is perfect.

  24. :

    4 out of 5

This perfume is a beautiful, floral, rose scent which on my skin is fairly linear in that, what you smell at the first spritz, is pretty much what you get throughout.
Some reviewers say that they can’t smell rose in this, I can smell the rose, which to me, features predominantly in this fragrance, but there are also other floral notes which are unidentifiable to me (possibly white florals) and slight musc to freshen this composition.
Ok so now that the basics of the notes have been mentioned, what do I think?
This is gorgeous and fresh, light and inoffensive. This fragrance would be the safest blind buy in the world, as it’s so light and pretty.
The down side is that it doesn’t last on me at all, I do need to keep re spritzing throughout the day and I would say that this fragrance can also be used as a layering scent.
I’m glad that I have a huge bottle of this and I really enjoy wearing it, buy this with confidence and enjoy!
    It’s beautiful!!

This perfume is okay..Personally I am very fond of roses, and I read so many good reviews about this perfume, so I had quite high expectations. However, to me it smelled like a mixture of bunch of different scents and at times a bit chemical. Wasn’t really the kind of roses I was looking for. Sometimes they make rose themed perfumes or perfumes centered around rose with different twists and characters. I felt as though it was a bit too far fetch to call this rose. Maybe I should give it another try. I really want to like this perfume but I wasn’t disappointed that I didn’t buy this in bigger size.
Follow up: I have given it another try, and this is a very likeable perfume. The reason why I didn’t like it the last time I tried it because I was expecting “rose” from it. When you let go of the expectation of rose, this is very enjoyable and charming fragrance that’s mainly berry with a hint of rose and musk. I think I even get a hint of wine. But rest assured, this doesn’t smell foody or juvenile in any way. I think it’s charming and seductive in a subtle way.

It’s difficult not to be charmed by this lovely rose in the pleasant company of sweet and sour berries. A little soapy from the fresh and clean musk. A little powdery, from the iris perhaps, even though I’m unable to detect the smell of iris itself. This is a cheerful and uplifting fragrance. Soft, innocent and pretty.

    UPDATE:
I suddenly noticed the violet! I think this smell could benefit from more violet! The violet in this smells amazing, although the smell is very weak 🙁 I have never before liked violet, because it tends to smell “cold”, if you know what I mean.
    END OF UPDATE
UPDATE: of all of the rose perfumes I sampled, Roses de Chloe came the closest to the smell of this
    END OF UPDATE
This perfume smells clean, inoffensive, , a little soapy, tea rose, mixed in with a sour note of red berries (mostly raspberry). It’s not what I would call an exclusive smell, but one that I would like to smell of right after a shower.
It’s a light, fun, simple smell of cleanness. This is not a complex smell, but pleasant for sure. It doesn’t change much during the wear time, which makes it easy to figure out if you actually like it in the short time you spend at the airport (it’s an airport-only edition). In the beginning, the red berries are quite tart – to me it smells like redcurrant, but then the smell settles and becomes mildly sour raspberries. The smell of rose doesn’t change much. I barely smell the musk – it mostly just rounds off the smell, making it one whole, rather than individual notes. I can’t say I smell the iris at any point – the bottom notes on me are sometimes sour red berries, sometimes rose – I like both.
There are many other perfumes that have much more depth, but I really like to use this perfume when I want to smell clean and fresh, when I want to wear perfume, but can’t handle a lot of smell, when I have no time to wait for a perfume to settle – this is at no point offensive, when I’m at the university. This is a very office, school-friendly perfume and in general a gentle scent that I don’t get tired of. I might actually repurchase this again (or some other scent from the Aqua Allegoria line) because I like to own a perfume that is this gentle.

I was holding myself back at buying this on the spot. Such a beautiful scent! (I went back to grab it, anyway)
I am biased towards perfumes with red berries note in them but this is done beautifully. It is lightly sour with a delicate little rose. I can’t detect musk – the tart berries and rose take centre stage. It almost smells like roses and berries steeped in tea with a drop of honey.
When I sniffed it closer to isolate the rose note, I was delighted by a blast of startlingly realistic fragrant white/pink roses in full bloom, hiding under the ripe berries. It is sweet, luscious and just mildly green.
I originally mistook it for a simple scent( I liked it anyway) but it is not.
This smells very tart in colder temperatures and more rosey in warmer temperatures.
Sillage is actually moderate. I got a friend to sniff me XD
Then again, this’d be a good “second skin scent”.
Lasted around 6 hours for me.
P.S: the sprayer works excellently. It delivers a fine cloud of perfume.

I bought the miniature of this – along with 3 others at the airport as well, and until now I´m far from disappointed. It begins with a blast of red berries, and in this case, as melia statet, they are quite sour. When the rose emerges from behind, a few minutes later, it is a surprise, because you get a sourish smell mixing with rose, a very unusual mix and not bad at all. The rose takes the lead from then on, and 3 hours later it is there, together with the musk. I can´t feel the iris well. Fresh and demure, I like it.

It’s very soft and a little fruity. I smell the red berries a lot and through out the first few hours, that is all I smell plus a hint of rose. Nothing interesting.

  32. :

Quite linear fragrance, lovely roses and musk. The berries make this a sweet and soft rose scent. Nothing outstanding, but still very nice and appealing. Would make a nice fragrance gift as I think it’s inoffensive and easy to wear all year round.

I like it! It’s powdery but in some way fresh. Not an original scent, though good. I’m young and I think I can wear it, but as well I think it’s perfect on a grow up lady. Anyway, easy to wear.

This is a limited travel edition that according to me only can be bought at airports… And I just happen to be traveling in Spain, so I tried it; at the airport. It cought my interest because I’m a rose lover and limited editions always make the greediness within me grow like a been stalk! But luckily for my wallet, I was not so impressed. A suitable fragrance for daily wear and for springtime? Yes. Decent silage and staying power? Check. But it is a rose too tart for me. The berries are highly sour, which for some may appeal as refreshing and uplifting, but for me they are simply annoying. Sorry Thierry, though it’s just one personal opinion… And that’s what fragrantica is for, isn’t it?
