Description

In order to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the first edition of Guerlain Aqua Allegoria collection, a new fragrant fairy tale by the house of Guerlain was introduced – Aqua Allegoria Flora Nymphea. The fragrance was created in cooperation with perfumer Thierry Wasser and it can be expected on the market during 2010.

Guerlain presented over 20 versions of Aqua Allegoria with various themes inspired by citruses, flowers, herbs and spices in the last 10 years. Pleasant, beneficial and optimistic compositions of Aqua Allegoria relax all senses with their olfactive games and nuances. This collection was initialized by Jean-Paul Guerlain with a wish to illustrate poetry of natural notes and raw materials with a vivid watercolor of each composition.

The latest edition, Aqua Allegoria Flora Nymphea, is composed of three main ingredients – syringa flower, orange blossom and beneficial honey. Its outer carton is slightly changed when compared to previous versions. This is not all! In honour of the 10th anniversary Guerlain will also present an animated movie which will feature a nymph named Flora Nymphea who will tell the story of flowers and scents led by a bee, symbol of the brand. This movie was filmed in 3D production and it lasts 1 minute. The story of the movie is told by Olivia Ruiz. You will be able to see this movie on the Internet.

Guerlain Aqua Allegoria will be available as 125 ml EDT in a redesigned flacon by creator Robert Granai. Its beautiful flacon captures characteristic decorations – honeycomb with a bee on its cap. Advertising campaign for Aqua Allegoria, besides flowers, fruit and herbs, features a feminine character – nymph from a fairy tale, decorated with pale pink floral petals. Face of this fragrance is Ana Selezneva, who became a nymph of Guerlain‘s Allegoria in photos made by Paolo Roversi.

Magic of this fairy-tale will be revealed on website www.aqua-allegoria.com in April 2010.

This scent gives me the impression of walking through the woods, picking berries- I’m looking for that bee hive and honey comb, though, and I’m not finding it, unfortunately- Winnie the Pooh must have gotten here ahead of me…

Flora Nympha to me is a super soft honeyed crisp white floral with bitter greenness and a dusky undertone. It isn’t nearly as refined, smooth, or modern as Chanel Beige. Their only similarities are honey and white florals. While their overall vibe and scent profile are the same. I wouldn’t go so far as to call this a replacement for Beige, no way. But it does have appeal and smells very nice in its own right.
I like it for its simplicity and pretty girliness. It is very very soft and acts like a quick refresher rather than a complex perfume. I’d reserve it for spring or outdoors because that’s when it feels most fitting. Several of these Allegorias from the 90’s and early 2000’s have a particular vintage vein running through them and this is no exception. It feels a little dated which I find adds to its charm. It is worthy of attention and appreciation if you ever see it and are willing to accept the gentle, fleeting nature of the scent. I do love the Allegoria bottles and would collect them all if I could just for visual pleasure.

I am not sure I agree with any of the below reviewers on this scent. On me this reads VERY vintage, in line with Estee Lauder’s Beautiful (although it does not smell the same). The flowers don’t smell realistic to me at all – they are an abstract white floral bouquet with an underlying base that is oddly bitter. I do not get the sweetness noted by most others.

Let me say upfront; I find no comparisons to this and Chanel Beige EDP. They are both floral and suitable for summer / humid weather but thats where it ends.
This is about dusty honey, delicate orange blossom and something that smells like a light laundry detergent. Light but present. I find it more along the lines of a body spray.
Low lasting power on me (3-4 hours), but extremely good sillage while it lasts. I don’t find this to be sweet at all (I have way sweeter!!) If it were more readily available and cheap I could see springing for a bottle.

I only have a sample of this but its beautiful. Innocent and airy with delicate flowers and sweet honey accord. Slightly powdery underneath…reminds me of a Chanel actually.
Love the bottle too. I think this and Lys Soleia are my favorite of the Aqua Alegoria line.
I have no idea why but I picture Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz smelling like this.

I was really surprised not to find a huge bouquet of floral notes listed. Too me this smells like too many florals blending together with no one standing out. It is the floral equivalent of white noise and feels dated. This one is not for me.

Flora Nymphea is a genuinely interesting throwback floral for me. It has a heft to it that I wasn’t expecting given that it’s an AA, and is also somewhat less sweet than I anticipated given the honey note, which here reminds me at times of the honey note in Ungaro Diva, moreso than, say, Elie Saab Le Parfum. Ultimately I get a much smoother, more refined take on Revlon’s Jontue. The green note is prominent and distinct. I think this is a perfect scent for early spring but would perhaps be too heavy for really warm weather.

A honeyed, sweet little springtime melody of a fragrance. For floral lovers only. I get more syringa than orange blossom in this, which is fine by me. I’m going to try layering with others in the Allegoria collection – Nerolia Bianca is one I think it would play well with.
I will say: I don’t necessarily get the comparisons to Chanel Beige, which is one of my favorite fragrances. FN is lighter, airier yet more syrupy – Beige is richer, more layered, and more refined. They’re both gorgeous, though, and honeyed white florals – so if you find Beige a bit too rich for your blood, definitely try to sample Flora Nymphea.

Darling little gem. I adore the entire Aqua Allegoria line. They are all softer scents but this particular one is just glorious and refreshing. If your having one of those days where you just cannot decide which perfume to wear grab this one it’s a winner all around. I spray it in my hair, neck all over because it’s not over powering. Yet it does last well. Absolute gorgeous little treat! Love this.

Stays right in line with the Aqua Allegoria Guerlain vibe. I get the floral at the top…must be the syringa, jasmin combo, I am not familiar with the syringa flower scent….???….the honey comes in and smooths it out.I do not find it citrusy so far…maybe way underneath. It has no real “guerlainade” to my nose…yet. It reminds me of something I have smelled before…but..What? !!An easy-going scent…very springy/summery to my nose…in-offensive for sure, but…just…..missing something..??? I am not sorry I own it..but it will need further exploration. So far..kinda “run of the mill” scent..We shall see what happens.
EDIT: after a couple full wearings…I AM enjoying this alot.
    Guerlain rarely fails me….so far….

Flora Nymphea has everything I’ve come to expect in an Aqua Allegoria perfume: Guerlain quality and a perfume that’s easy to wear. However, what I didn’t expect was that on my skin it’s a predominantly orange blossom, neroli (I suspect it’s the syringa I’m smelling) and woods, all of which comes across as rather masculine to my nose. I don’t get any of the honeyed white flowers I was expecting. A nice perfume, especially on warm spring or summer days, but not one of my personal favorites.

Those who say this smells cheap on them ,they definitely have an unusual pH…. Flora Nymphea is so delicate, innocent and beautiful…the most wearable spring scent with honey. This is for chic young women but a little shy who want to smell classy …I adore this scent ! Unfortunately discontinued 🙁

I wanted to love this, but it smells like cheap body spray on my skin. I couldn’t wait for it to wear off. Very disappointed.

This struck me as a sophisticated, balanced, modern floral blend with a finish of honey. I’m kind of obsessed with sampling the entire Aqua Allegoria line which is extensive much like you want to meet everyone at a huge family reunion. All different but part of the same family.

A soft, honey-sweet floral fragrance from Guerlain. I received a sample of this and was excited to try it out. However this is just a little too sweet for me. Honey and orange blossom notes mingle together and give off a sort of honeysuckle appeal (which is nice since I have been seeking a honeysuckle scent). On second thought, this is a strong nectar fragrance. Infact I think that describes this perfectly- a floral nectar with a touch of honey. As expected from someone with a nose like Thierry Wasser, this Allegoria flanker is quality in a bottle (for the right person). No synthetic notes and they all blend so nicely. Reminiscent of the blooming flowers at the beginning of spring. Once the fragrance settles for an hour or two it really transitions to a strong green base. I have a eucalyptus and aloe hand soap that has a similar aroma, so there is an intense greenery underneath the nectar. Nice every now and then, but not worthy of a full bottle purchase in my opinion. Not really my style. Although I do see this as a scent that could grow on me if I wore it enough.

  16. :

Very fresh and clean. The floral notes are not too intense, and the musk just softens the whole thing out. All in all, clean and romantic. A great every day perfume or daytime/work option. Not very sexy. I could see hubby thinking this to be old lady-ish for his taste.

  17. :

Flora Nymphea smells of lilies. A peppery refreshing lily, with something green and aqueous, accompanied by the tang of a bittersweet berry. The honey swirls in the background as an accent to this white floral scent. My beloved honey is much more prominent in the dry-down, along with something slightly woodsy and musky.
My impression is of something light, ethereal, aptly named, soft and natural-smelling, which makes it “springlike” in nature (or so I thought)… except for the sillage which is much stronger than I anticipated! The sillage is strong to moderate on me, which took me by surprise. I was expecting something really soft and appropriate for spring; but as it’s rather heavy on me, I will try again with fewer sprays. White florals always seem to me big projectors on me though, so this may just be my chemistry, but regardless I do think that this seems like the perfect little something for transitional weather. Longevity is for about 8-9 hours.
Unfortunately, I did develop a slight headache from wearing this, and I’m not sure why. It might have been because I over-sprayed. However, I still quite enjoy the scent, so I will continue wearing this and see what happens with multiple wears over time 🙂

I’m an admitted sucker for Guerlain fragrances, with the gorgeous packaging and the pretty names. After reading how the Aqua line is often light and easy to wear, I took a chance on this one.
The fragrance opens up with a definite floral and light honey. I find that honey is a tricky note on me, but this one is the right balance. It’s a subtle, sweet honey that just adds warmth and character. After wearing it for enough time to heat up the fragrance a bit, the powder comes through. I love a good powder, so I’m not bothered in the slightest. It’s not as powdery as Shalimar Initial; instead, Flora Nymphea has a fresh, clean powder that is very light.
This is one I’d recommend for warm weather. It’s pretty and inoffensive. It smells elegant and classic, while staying light and fresh. I like it overall, but I usually am drawn to heavier scents within the Guerlain line.

I have found that as much as I love honey, it generally mocks me by turning to cat pee or diapers. However, I think this is the honey that I can wear! It is not a bottle of finished honey, but flowers bursting with rich pollen, and busy bees bending the flower heads on a warm day.

You know that scene in Cruel Intentions when we see Reese Witherspoon’s character reading a book under a tree in a lilac sweater?
That’s exactly who I envision when I smell this perfume. It’s sweet, innocent, polite, modest, tasteful, wholesome, and sits up straight with ankles crossed. It’s what I would wear when at the garden party I’d throw to make a good impression on my future mother-in-law so she would think I was virtuous enough for her son, a senatorial hopeful with a trust fund.
I hate this perfume for all those reasons but it’s good to have in my arsenal just in case

  21. :

I don’t need more than one fragrance in this category, but for a softly clinging floral this is near perfection.
I smell honeyed orange blossom and some unidentified white flowers which all seem very REAL. They are freshly picked, in a vase of cool water placed on a table in the shade of the screened porch. In the background lingers the scent of sweet clover baked by the sun…..
Versatile, if you love florals. Suitable for office, wedding, picnic, and romantic moments. Good, persistent sillage and decent longevity, with little whiffs making themselves known throughout the day.
    Five Stars!
    Update –
To me, fans of such traditional yet seductive fragrances as WHITE SHOULDERS will thoroughly enjoy this enchanting Guerlain release. A friend of mine raves about how good Flora Nymphea smells on me, and she is a true fan of heady, honeyed florals, including White Shoulders. I agree, though the notes are different, the two fragrances give off a very similar aura. So feminine!

Flora Nymphea: Syringa = Lilac. Beautiful, fresh, simple, sheer Summer soliflore. I’m unable to detect any orange flower nor honey (as listed). Longevity & Sillage outperform most current EdP’s by far… Guerlains’ impeccable quality is evident. Sheer genius / Lilac perfection!

I had obtained this late last year and ended up taking it back a couple of days later because of the harsh smell that also reminded me of cat urine…I barely can wear any of these Allegoria perfumes too harsh and one dimensional. ex. if it’s Neroli, it stays harsh neroli all the way through….

  24. :

    5 out of 5

My first impression of this is: Hot Summer Day. It reminds me of grass fields and summer flowers. Sweet and heavy. Very floral. Unfortunately this is not my cup of tea: after a while for some reason I start smelling something like… urine?? It settles some more and it definitely feels like a toilet freshener of kinds..why is that??? I really wanted to like this, but while feminine, it’s nothing special.

  25. :

    4 out of 5

Wow. What a scent. I have found most of the Allegoria’s light and often flowery.
FN does something really interesting on my skin.
I am going to rename this Nymphs of the Woods. There is a moment of something sweet and a little floral and then straight to lightly honeyed woods, that last for hours.
This is going to be a winter fragrance for me. There is so much weight to FN, that I can’t wear it in warm weather.
The whole experience has been very entertaining with FN as it was so surprising, not at all how I thought it would be. ……….. but in a good way. Sometimes I like surprises.

DISCLAIMER: My favorite fragrances aren’t ones of this sort.
    Let’s begin though, shall we?
As another user mentioned, this smells like fairies! I get honey, musk and quite a unique flower palate. And for unexplainable reasons, this smells oddly familiar to me.
I do really like this scent, however if I’m being completely honest, it’s not one I find myself reaching for constantly (I do have upwards of 50 fragrances though, which is probably why). The fragrance itself is heavy, but the accords themselves are light and unequivocally bold. My favorite fragrances aren’t ones of this sort, but this I will happily keep in my collection.
I bought this blindly and was truly pleased by how it wore on me. Still, this is a fragrance I encourage you to test before you purchase.
    Scent: I’d give this a 6.5 or 7/10.

This was love at first sniff. Excellent blind buy. On me this is a pure floral with a sweet honey note that is not overly done. Perfect for a spring day. Too bad it is no longer in production.

  28. :

    3 out of 5

This one is masculine on me, from start of finish, though actually still fairly pleasant even so.
When I first spray it, and I mean when the perfume is still totally wet, I get the scent of dewy warm, humid late spring mornings. Softly sweet flowers and grass and humidity and fresh air all in one. If that stayed (and it sounds from other reviews like it actually does for some) it would likely be my favourite perfume, but that unfortunately goes away within twenty seconds.
What is left on my skin is a soft, wet musk that is definitely masculine though still pretty nice smelling. Oh, and I never once get honey in this.

As a discontinued scent this can be found at bargain price, so without sampling I purchased a full bottle. At first spray I was not overly impressed. But the dry down of Flora Nymphea is really excellent. It does have some Channel “Beige” attributes (though I find it lighter and more Spring/Summery than Beige). I find the scent unexpectedly well crafted for the Aqua Allegoria name, unfolding with interest and some complexity.
Typically, I am very conservative with the application of my perfume and apply very lightly. But this I spray 3, or 4 sprays and it seems to be alright with those around me. I think the scent stays close, but too I have had several positive comments: “You smell nice”… and “Ummm, what’s that smell” came my way. This is so unexpected since I rarely receive compliments on the scents I wear.
With my skin chemistry this is predominately a soft floral, (light)green, berry scent that has hints of a clean aquatic note. Early on touches of wood and musk circle in with the citrus flowers. On dry down there is a really lovely scent that reminds me most of sweetly blooming avocado trees at sunset with a hint of slightly musky berry and aged tangerine blossom swirled with drops of honey. At full dry down (about 1 hour or more from initial spray)the Flora Nymphea comes out in full and this scent dances softly with a wonderful combination of flowers, honey, woods, a dash of moist earth and sunshine.
Though Syringa is listed as one of the notes, I do not recognize it in this juice (and I have blooming Syringa nearby). Citrus blossom predominates (more like tangerine blossoms than orange blossom). Some of the reviews here have mentioned jasmine notes, but I do not smell this. The honey note is certainly present, though it is woven through the scent as an accent, very much riding in the background.
All and all, I feel this is a happy and light scent that stays fairly close (even with several sprays). I do not know that it would be more appropriate for one age or another. It is not a candy fragrance. Rather, it smells Summery AND sophisticated, in that well done perfume manner. On skin, it has only modest fortitude, seeming to disappear after 3 or 4 hours. Sprayed upon clothing, this scent lasts for several days.

I actually really like this, even though I don’t like florals. I think this is a mature honey dipped floral. I really like it. Okay longevity and light sillage.

  31. :

A beautifully blended fragrance which is quite literally spring in a bottle. Each Aqua Allegoria fragrance has something to offer, this one has a really sweet berry burst, which quickly morphs into a subtle white floral, it is an immaculate and easy to wear fragrance. It has a somewhat natural smell, very good.

  32. :

    5 out of 5

I find the whole concept to be a little bit misleading compared to what you get in a bottle.
Yes, at first sniff I get this innocent orange blossom, jasmin vibe.It settles as a well balanced fresh/sweet/floral. It leans more on a floral/fresh side with sweetness being just an undertone. However, I have received a comment saying that it’s masculine! (it was freshly sprayed. Approx 10 min ago) Very strange considering that it’s a honey drizzled white flower.
All in all,it’s not a ”virgin” soft fairy smell. It’s more sharp, beautiful floral.

  33. :

    3 out of 5

I love to sniff the bottle. It smells like fairies, flowers and sun. It gives me a feeling of happyness and innocence. But it’s too sheer once sprayed. Nobody will notice this unless they glue their nose to you. I like when people can smell my perfumes, I asked but nobody can feel it at work or anywhere else..Such a shame…

  34. :

    4 out of 5

I smelled a sharp but refreshing green note upon spraying followed by a realistic and non sweet honey and musk. I cant distinguished any flower notes but it does gives off a floral smell mixed with the musk and softened green note on dry down. I honestly cant wear this, my skin amplified the musk too much. I gave this to my father and it smelled nice on him. So nice that i am really tempted to take it back. The sillage and longevity on clothes are amazing. You would still be able to smell it a few days later on clothes from a few feet away.

Very very nice fragrance. Nothing offensive or unpleasant about this little number at all. She goes on with strong similarities to Valentino Valentina. It is just a very well constructed floral fragrance. I will report on the lasting power as the day goes on. If you are a fan of Valentina you very well might enjoy this one.

  36. :

    5 out of 5

I’m surprised how much I like Flora Nymphea given the fact that it’s a white floral – something that I’ve had too much of already and I’m generally bored of. Probably because there isn’t any lily of the valley or jasmine in the composition, it stands out as a bit more intriguing than the most of its kind. I don’t know if it’s the love I have for the brand playing tricks on my mind but somehow it’s not as plain as a huge number of white florals out there.
It’s the perfect everyday spring/summer fragrance, very gentle and not too sweet, just divine. Managing to add just the right amount of honey seems to be a trouble for lots of perfumers but here it’s masterfully done.
It goes on my summer pleasures wish list.

  37. :

    5 out of 5

I’m still deciding on this one. I first bought a used bottle and it was so sharp and strong, I really believed it had gone bad. It was straight up dryer sheet and strong! None of that was good to me. So I bought another, new in box. Well the heart of it is actually the same but I do believe that first bottle had turned sour to a certain extent. The good bottle is still all syringa to my nose. When I think of honey scents, L’Occitane Voyage de Mediterranee Immortelle comes to mind- warm, sweet, ambery. So I don’t consider this a honey scent, but I’m still willing to wait it out and see if it settles into more of that familiar vibe.
I also totally agree that this borders on masculine. It is not a fluffy, candy sweet smell at all. I think of it as more green, sharp white florals and some masculine musk. I don’t dislike it enough to call it Drakkar-like….but I can see asking my husband to try it and see how it transforms, or not, on him!
But for this recent test, I did spray it on my legs, while wearing a knee length skirt, and I think that is right on. I don’t know that I’d want this closer to my face! It is so humid here and it has just stopped raining out. It was a fabulous summer storm that left that ozonic smell in the air coupled with the wet earth of my very green backyard, it’s wonderful. And as I type this, on my phone and kind of swaying back and forth (once a mom rocking a baby, always a swaying woman!) and I get humid, thick blasts of Flora Nymphea rising to my nose and it’s perfect with the strong odors of summer rain in the city. If I could wear it like this all the time, I must just turn around and love this. But time, and weather variations, will tell. This is my seventh AA and it may wind up as a keeper. It’s growing on me by the minute.

  38. :

    5 out of 5

If there is such a thing as a perfect Spring fragrance this is it! The dominant Orange blossom and Syringa notes are so lovely combined with the heavy Green notes, simplistic Honey and what I detect of minimal Cherry. The Musk gives it a hint of an animalic dimension. The Woody notes are quite lovely and pronounced as well.
Flora Nymphea is not a really sweet scent. It is more botanical and ethereal. There is a small bit of sharpness to it as well but it is not intrusive nor tingly to my olfactory nerve receptors. I would say a light application, which is what I recommend as this particular AA is quite strong, alleviates it from becoming a problem.
Sillage is strong for the first twenty minutes but then it lightens becoming more moderate for the duration which on me is about six hours. I keep thinking this is what it may smell like being in Midsummer Night’s Dream. Pixie dust anyone?
    10/10

  39. :

    4 out of 5

Flora Nymphea is a sheer, green, orange blossom/lilac scent with a dab of honey, at least to my nose. It is the smell of spring and as others have noted, it is similar to Chanel Beige. For me, I think Beige is easier to wear as the green note is softer and FN has a sharpness that is similar to sniffing grapefruit. It also reminds me a little bit of L’Instant by Guerlain. Although I really like FN, I have to be cautious when I wear it as it can bring on my allergies. The Aqua Allegoria line have gorgeous bottles;Total eye candy.

What the majority of reviews on here say are absolutely true–this is an elegant, sophisticated, expertly blended, and mature scent. I appreciate it for all those wonderful and rare qualities, but, at 23 years old, it us just too mature for me, personally. I blind bought it because of my love for AA LS and trust for the AA line in general. True to form, this is an expensive smelling and truly lovely scent, but it’s not for me at this age. I recommend it for the 30+ age group, because it exudes that put-together, polished, classy image that I imagine ladies of that age are likely to posess. I gave it to my mother, and will continue to look for my “professional” fragrance for spring.

  41. :

I found it a miracle that I loved this perfume on my skin. NONE of the notes in the pyramid are notes I can “normally” wear (Orange blossom, honey, green notes, white florals, woods) without some sort of headache, nausea, etc. etc. But Flora Nymphea is absolutely beautiful, and Guerlain does it YET AGAIN for me. (By “Does it”, I mean produced a beauty… and then discontinued it shortly thereafter. But I digress.)
I read every single review here, and it seems this scent is pretty polarizing in terms of half of us getting a mind-blowingly heavenly floral, and the other half getting old man cologne.
The entirety of this scent is pretty linear – what you smell is what you get. What *I* get is my childhood in a bottle. This reminds me of a gentle white floral perfume my mother used to wear, walking with me in our old backyard next to honeysuckle bushes, next to clean laundry hanging on a clothesline.
A very soft, demure, rich scent – billowy, smooth, and as Guerlain’s description states: Fairy-tale like. The honey is the star the moment the perfume hits the skin, followed by orange blossom & gentle white florals tying in throughout the drydown. Truly reminiscent of a wedding bouquet (And weddings in general, that innocent all-around-white-cast on everything in sight). There is a tea-like cleanliness here, as well. Overally, heavenly.
This is definitely an elegant, everyday scent for sunny, warm weather – I thought it would be appropriate for work, but it felt too carefree! Like I couldn’t wait to get out of there and be out in the open.
Big love for me, of which I am still in shock. Guerlain works miracles, point blank.
Sillage: Very soft-moderate. A sweet skinscent.
    Longevity: Delightful! 4-8 hours.

I was totally over the moon excited to get this perfume. I’ve been wanting it for the past year, and I finally found an inexpensive bottle online. I expected to get an intense honey smell, which I really wanted, but it is definitely flowers all around. It smells like a strong bouquet of white florals.
It is definitely something I am going to gift to either my aunt or my mother. It is too mature for my taste right now, but maybe my taste will change later on. It smells expensive and the bottle is amazing. I almost want to keep it for decor, but the juice would go to waste.

Lovely! This is quality French perfume at it’s best. Subtle, but persistent. It is very like a light, honeyed old-school chypre.
It has the same kind of gentility as White Shoulders, but an entirely different smell. Cozy, inviting, yet intimately personal.
It has a modern orange blossom, very well blended. There is a slightly animalic vibe from the honey. The greenness binds this together with a spring-like airiness that reminds me of childhood dreams in the country.
I will have to try others in this line of Guerlain very soon. This one is not quite right on my skin, but so close. A friend emanates this as if it is her own skin essence. Divine!
A skin scent with moderate lasting power. Sweetly surprises as small wiffs keep returning.

I bought this one blind without even checking the notes. Upon the first spritz, I got honeyed floral, I thought I smelled jasmine, then some greenish clean notes emerged. It’s a very pleasant scent, I like it, the only problem is that it lasts only ~4 hours on me.
Update: wore it again today and got some zesty orange blossom and citrus scent, it smells floral-woody-green on me, distantly reminds me of Pamplelune (but not as zesty and not as sweet). I honestly don’t get much resemblance to Chanel Beige and surprised by the voting. While Beige is more tropical, with smooth leather-like texture, Flora Nymphea is very green and woody-musky. The only commonality is the honey note.

While this is a very pretty scent on others, it does absolutely nothing on me. I get a tiny bit of spicy sweetness, then it’s quite literally gone – I’m looking to swap for one of the other allegoria scents, particulary lilas bella, Angelique lilas, or lemon fresca, but would also consider other allegoria’s or idylle duet jamin lilas.
EDIT: I am really liking this now – I’ve given it several more tries, and am glad I kept it!

Flora Nymphea is a pleasant scent – on me, it is mostly white floral, which I happen to enjoy. I do get just a touch of the honey as well. Overall, it’s a perfume you can’t really go wrong with. However, I find it lackluster. It’s not terribly memorable, and the lasting power is poor – 4 hours is probably a stretch. Low (to no) sillage, which is fine with me – I prefer scents to stay close to my body. Personally, I think if you’re looking for a nice white floral, you should keep looking. There are other, more interesting scents out there that you will fall in love with. This one’s nice, but you’d be settling.

I was surprised by this after reading about the notes in it also by reading the reviews, because my experience seems to be totally different. I somehow expected more sweetness with honey being so predominant, but no, on first spraying I got a very clean, spicy, sharp (but not acidic) scent. It’s almost like a top quality eau de cologne and it could even be unisex.
Apart from the wood and the musk, I’m finding it really hard to pin down any flowers in this, they are there but they are being masked by something. There are no spices listed but it does smell distinctly peppery at times.
Summing up I have to say that I really like this, if I were going away and needed to pack a ‘safe’ perfume for day, then this one would be suitable. It could be worn at any time and anywhere. Definitely a keeper!

In my opinion this is a lovely soft skin scent, which is subtle for wearing to the office.
On my skin it lasts well, but next to no sillage.
However, I don’t feel the need to spritz again at lunch time.
I love the honey notes, despite not being a fan of sweet scents (prefer this to Honey by Marc Jacobs).

I like this a lot and take it everywhere right now in case I need a quick fix during the day. There’s something addictive about this one; there’s a definite cosy warmth about it, maybe to do with the honey, not sure. Sweet but not oversweet. Seems to suit my skin. The scent lingers gorgeously on clothes too. One of my favourites in Aqua Allegoria range.

Flora Nymphea is blind buy that I’ve been enjoying very much since the weather has warmed up. A delightful honeyed floral that’s light, refreshing and rich all at the same time. I’m interested in adding more of these enchanting honey comb bottles to the collection!

Bought blindly and I am simply impressed.
Is it just me or does this smell like honeysuckle nectar once its settled?
    I dont know!
Its a nice sweet honey-ish floral that smells so yummy.
I would definitely recommend this to someone that wants a nice candy sweet floral thats not too sweet.

Blind buy! Good price, but the first hour is very masculine men’s cologne…not sure which one, but rather a disinfectant smell. And then it gets stronger! That makes me unhappy because if I can smell this, chances are that others around me will have the same thoughts about it. Not what I want to be remembered for:( Will have to wear this one outside for sure….sad….

Just got a sample of this and it is a bit different of what I was expecting.
Middle notes are like some honey scented aftershave. I think is quite mature, but for some reasons I still like it. Sillage and longevity are good.
Will think about pourchasing it or not…

I’m a little disappointed in this one. I purchased it because it’s been compared to Chanel’s Beige. I bought Beige for my mother and have “borrowed” it many times ;). This smells nothing like Beige to my nose. It lacks the smoothness and
