I’ve got the splash cologne bottle and it works for me. (Perhaps this illustrates the difference between spray and splash as well as edt and edc?)
Delicate sweet fruit and powdery softness – rather like the velvety skin covering a fresh apricot.
Refreshing and subtle. Charming.

Instantly threw this into the garbage and had to scrub off my skin. Cheap and loud, on the order of headache-inducing drugstore fragrances, simply awful. How is it possible that the perfumer to the queen could produce such an unpleasant thing.

It was also a cheap blind buy for me, but I will refrain from Bronnley scents by now. Yes, it’s apricot and almond – but very sweet and very cheap smelling. I couldn’t use it. It was too disturbing.

I thought that based on the mixed reviews this would be a cheap enough blind buy, so I ordered a bottle. I get an intense sherbetty sweet apricot from this, I don’t detect any almond or floral notes at all and on the whole I find it too sickly sweet. I did consider keeping it for occasional summer wear, but to be honest it makes me feel slightly nauseous. Bronnley perfumes are very good quality, but this particular one just isn’t for me…

I was so excited to receive this, based on the description. I tried it, and was surprised and disappointed to detect nothing listed in it’s description, yet it smelled familiar. I realized after about 30 minutes, that it resembled a very light version of Safari by Ralph Lauren. ??????
So unexpected.
I’m sad, because I was pining for apricots and almonds. :/

For just a few seconds after spraying, I get light light apricot. Then this turns into an unpleasant powder smell which clings skin close for a few hours or so.
It’s a dusty musty old fashioned scent, similar to potpouri that’s been sitting around the house way too long.
I will only be using it as bathroom air freshener.

I agree with you ladies who say there’s no almond or apricot going on in this perfume but I like this inexpensive little English number. True, it’s rather indistinct but it’s pleasant, dense and has tenacity.
I recently got a sample of Tocade, having been dying to try it for months. When I put some on I decided not to buy a bottle because it seemed so similar to Bronnley’s A and A. Maybe my nose was tuckered out from smelling several fragrances that day and others might smell no relationship at all between the two but to me there was enought similarity there to make buying Tocade redundant.
I moved the bottle of Bronnley’s Apricot and Almond from its position behind the other perfumes to a more prominent place so I’ll remember to use it more often.

I had a similar experience with this one to scorpiosheep’s – no hint of either apricot or almond, just a very sharp, green, and even borderline aquatic non-descriptness. I think it’s the “tropical fruit”, whichever it is (vaguely reminds me of very unripe papaya), that’s responsible for this mess. But I would still recommend to those seeking apricot & almonds in this to try it – my guess is that chemistry plays a particularly important role here, and it just so happens that tropical fruit never comes out right on me.

very delicate and feminine cologne scent. it can fade so is nice in colder weather to me. gentle and sweet.
