Description

Emanuel Ungaro launches two fragrances in 2010 – edition for women Apparition Pink and for men Apparition Cobalt.

Version for women, Apparition Pink, as its name suggests, arrives in a pink flacon and brings us cheerful, romantic notes. Composition of joy and floral motives hides accords of yuzu, pear and pink pepper which make a fresh and seductive spicy opening. A heart is created of such aromas as rose, hyacinth and raspberry. It is very sweet, floral and feminine, while base notes are creamy-powdery ( sandalwood and iris). The fragrance is available as 30, 50 and 90 ml EDT from 2010.

I agree with other reviewers who say who say it smells of bubble gum and fizzy drink and is what one thinks of a teeenagers type of scent, but now that I know this fragrance and the original apparition better, I actually think the concept is very well achieved, because it does indeed smell like a pink version of the original apparition. From that point of view, the relation between the two is quite a piece of art and makes it very interesting to wear any of them if you think of the other one- they do complement each other. I actually think that like the original one, it is not raspberry here but rather raspberry liqueur. The original one is darker, deeper and more serious, quite unusual scent, this one is lighter, fancier and more party like. Great job.

This one smells like a teenager.
It’s very fruity and sweet, but the sweetness seems artificial.
It’s also quite soapy – reminds me of some fruity shower gel.
    Quite dissapointing.

Apparition Pink smells the same as Womanity by Mugler, but the price is cheaper…

First off, I got this super cheap at a discount store without trying it first, so I really didn’t know what to expect. I’ll be brief.
Before getting into the fragrance, I need to address this irritaing bottle. I don’t know why, but the piece you push on the top is missing on mine and the spritzer moves to the side when you press it down. So, before I took it off, the perfume would only hit the pink wall instead of coming out of the hole. I’m assuming the piece of my cap that’s missing that would normally hold it in place, but that’s what I was dealing with until I just took the pink bit off. Now it’s fine. Rant over.
The fragrance itself, however, is very sheer, light, and citrusy, but not in the traditional sense. It’s citrusy as in it smells of hard lemonade and DEET. So I guess it’s like a literal summer in a bottle, if that makes sense.
A.P. has an average longevity and I suggest layering it with something else to keep it interesting.
I’ve had it for quite a while and still have yet to decide whether I like it or not, but overall, I’d just say this is probably a perfume you can skip unless you like alcoholic lemonade and bug repellent. It’s nothing special in my opinion. 4/10.
    xx

Such a girly, fruity, zesty and happy fragrance… which doesn´t last or have sillage close to zero.
I love the original “Apparition”, and out of the all Apparition flankers (i have tried them all and own all of them) the only one worth buying is the “Facets” flanker IMO. “Apparition pink” actually reminds me in some way the other Apparition flanker – “Apparition Sun”, but “Apparition Sun” has much more potency and character than this one.
It opens up very lovely, with a huge citrusy outburst of yuzu and pink pepper, with a addition of chemical light rose and hint of pear. The raspberry note might be the one responsible for the tacky plasticky bubble gum note that is indeed present in here. The whole combination is bit wacky and chemical, yet it has something that i like. I have purchased the 90ml bottle heavily discounted so i spray it very liberally, and have already used around 1 cm in 2 days. That is because i literally have to reapply it liberally every hour, my skin just eats it up in this heat that we have at the moment. However on my clothes it stays much longer and i can clearly smell it on my top the next evening. However at this time of the year i have a problem with most fragrances – i don´t smell then at all, even my beloved “Chance” by Chanel, go figure…
Maybe it is more suitable for spring, when it is not that hot and the smell would be more detectable? I should try it in april-may, when it is still bit chilly, maybe then it will act differently? Until then – huge minus for the nonexisting lasting power and sillage.

Ok, starts out pretty strong, somewhat peppery and spicy. 2 hours later, nice flowery sweet rose 🙂 Works for me!
I have had my eye on this one for years but haven’t got around to ordering it (we don’t have it here, at least I’ve not seen it anywhere). Now I’m glad I got it, it was dirt cheap (under 10€/30ml).There’s some bubblegum there, some citrus and some rose. It is different like Migalex says 🙂

I love the bottle, the fragrance is just ok , citrus blast, followed by sweet fruits and weak roses. Girly, pleasant , not interesting enough.

I’ve had this one for free with my airmiles. And I think it’s a very sweet, fresh, fruity/floral smell. I think it’s nice but not something very special. It reminds me of Babydoll Paris of YSL.
It lasts for an hour or 3 to 4. Not bad for a free product…

I agree with Masii: something cheap… and nothing special… it teases me when I smell it. Not for me…

Nice fruity floral. Cannot smell the pink pepper, the hyacinth, the sandalwood or the iris. It is very fruity. What I smell most is the yuzu and the raspberry. At the begining sour sweet, but as the time goes by, it gets less sour and sweeter, as the yuzu scent gives room to the raspberry. It is different from the vast majority of citrus floral fruity scents, all more or less the same. The scent is nice. Smells of fruit juice and bubblegum and it has a plastic/rubber edge, features which I am not particularly fond of (bubblegum and rubber scent), but overall I do like the scent, find it quite interesting and really enjoy smelling it. While I might not feel too comfortable wearing this scent in a formal situation, I do find it fun in a childlike way, because of the bubblegum scent. I do not dislike this aspect of the fragrance, but might find it misplaced in a formal situation. To me it is a nice and pleasant fun scent. I ordered two 90ml bottles blind for 13 pounds and I am keeping both. Overall, not worse and I actually find it more appealing than the majority of the more expensive floral fruity fragrances. Longevity is not great, but is does leave on the skin a nice sweet smell for several hours. Projection is good at the beginning. Anyway, it must have been discontinued because I it is not listed on Emanuel Ungaro’s site. Update: I do find this scent delicious now, sort of irresistible.

I really love this one…it has a light fruity scent with tons of sillage. Last all day on my skin.

i just received it today and I just couldn’t help myself … it’s great – very fresh, a litlle spicy at the beginning but then, after about an hour, it gets a little softer and sweeter … just a summer afternoon getting into evening in the sun … it’s great, I love it!

For $9.99 at Ross, this is a pretty good deal. It’s got a light, feminine scent. Lots of citrus on the front end, but I also find that the rose and iris are VERY prominent. It’s not my favorite, but it could be an easy summer scent. There is a slight hairspray smell and the sillage is non-existant. The scent fades in about 15 minutes, no joke. No staying power. Kinda reminds me of one of Paris Hilton’s watery, weak perfumes. C- at best, but hey, $9.99 is hard to beat.

Nice, clean scent. I think I found my new summer smell- light and happy citrus- pink. first burst is strong citrus, dries down to sweeter flowers which stay close to skin. the lasting power is not great. I am guessing that’s why I found it at Ross for just 9.99… but i love it for this price, just may have to apply it few times during the day.)
I understand Cayenne because Incanto by Ferragamo and Apparition Pink do have similar moods- light, fruity summer. When I was putting my new bottle of App Pink next to Incanto Dream i had that feeling. They are not the same scents, just similar impression..:)

i had just baught this and honestly its so feminine i enjoy it more then j’adore for the reason that its more citrusy and i love citrus scents yes its true they do smell alike but ungaro’s is more longer lasting and has less a floral scent then dior’s and more a citrus scent but you can still make out the flowery powdery scents .for some reason it reminds me or tommy’s dreaming but either way i love this scent smells more ages form 18-27 in the other hand dior smells more mature from 30+ …. i fell in love with i got the 1.0 and in 1 month i had finished it !! you must try it at fragrancenet.com its real cheap there .

i just purchased this from TJMaxx at quite a steep discount, and i was unable to test the fragrance in the store – unfortunately i am disappointed and will be returning it tomorrow.
on me at first spray it is light and citrus-y which isnt too bad, but on the dry down it just smells like some kind of expensive glass cleaner. i dont really smell any florals at all, and i dont find it to be all that sweet. a very clean smell would be more accurate – as i said so much so i feel like i should start cleaning the kitchen or something.
the bottle is so cute and i would love to see it sitting on my dresser but i know i would never wear it, and would much rather try something else.

It is very cheerful and chic! I would say it’s for spring and summer. It is not a serious fragrance. It can be worn all day and all night. It’s not offensive in any way and I don’t think you could overdo this one. It reminds me of the Ferragamo Incanto collection of the ones that came out a couple of years ago with the example being Incanto dream, heaven, charms and shine!. I found Apparition Pink at TJMaxx for 16.99 (july 28 – 2011) for the 1.7 fl. OZ. eau de toilette natural spray. But, I’m still on the fence weather or not to keep it because I already have the Incanot fragrances that I have mentioned.

Bought this for my girlfriend a few weeks ago. This fragrance is suitable for spring- or summertime. It’s a light smell of fruit and florals (floral takes the overhand: roses). It’s not so heavy sweet and unusual as the original Apparition. My girlfriend is 30+ and she loves it…..me too. Great buy: 90ml edt spray for less 20 euro’s (Netherlands).

This is really a fruity/floral smell. Light and suitable for springtime or whenever you want.
According my nose Pink is the light Apparition version.
Any way, I love it very much.

Has anyone actually smelled this one? I would love to know how it is in actual fact. I love the original Apparition, but I never smelled any of the flankers!
