This is something. It is a beautiful fragrance. It opens with heavy rose, carried by sandalwood and leather. For me it is hard to detect the other notes, which makes it a bit too feminine for me.
As a man, you might find this a bit difficult to wear. For a woman (35+), this scent is amazing.
Sample before buying!!!!!
Scent: 9/10
Projection: 10/10
Sillage: 10/10
Longevity: 10/10
Versatility 7/10
Uniqueness: 7/10
Price-performance: 8/10 (Might be a bit pricy for some)
Total: 8 (Would rate it higher, if it was not marketed as unisex. You got to be a very confident man if you can pull this one off.)

Aoud Sandroses is another gorgeous offering from Mancera, but initially I found it a bit difficult to describe this fragrance until I got whacked upside the head with an olfactory epiphany. First off, you will instantly detect that telltale Mancera fragrance DNA as this perfume opens smelling like a lighter, fresher, version of some of their heavy-hitting rose-oud stunners such as The Aoud and Black to Black. But don’t let your senses be mislead since Aoud Sandroses goes an entirely different direction after the first few minutes.
What I get from Aoud Sandroses as it transitions into the heart and well into the drydown will not be described in notes or accords. Instead, I detect a subtle, tamed, muted Mancera rose-oud (opulent and enigmatic) that is blended expertly with the Ghosts of Gres Cabochard past as I sit here enjoying the Holiday Season; just a delightfully warm, classy, sophisticated and ballsy chypre floral. This fragrance is perfect for a strong-willed, sexy, self-confident woman…but it equally appropriate for that true gentleman who subscribes to the Art of Manliness.
While this fragrance does have a touch of that old-school fragrance vibe going on, it is certainly not dated (think Gres Cabochard, Halston Classic, Maxim’s Pour Homme, Balenciago Ho Hang Club, etc.). Performance is excellent, but not beastly, in that it lasts 8+ hours and projects above average on my skin.

OMG, I have never purchased from this line before, this is positively gorgeous, breathtaking – stunning! It’s an Oud with an Oriental bent, and yes I can see that it could be unisex, but the florals in this juice are of the “knee shaking, trembling and swooning” variety. I adore it, but I am also not happy that I will need to investigate other Mancera fragrances to see what I have been missing out on.
If the nose behind this is Pierre Montale, of the Montale line, it explains the slight similarity to Golden Flowers. This is Golden Flowers on steroids with the mystery and depth that Oud brings.

I just got this today. it is definitely strong and lots of jasmine rose and patchuli, very heavy. however, on fabric, it smells rather mysterious with strong soapy quality to it. again it is very mature floral.

Very similar to the other Mancera Gold Intensive Aoud – although that one is slightly more zingy citrusy. I get a celery note in fact. Both very good oriental scents and last well. Rose and wood / leathery notes are a great combo. Very subtle rose thankfully.
I have 100+ niche samples for swap within Europe – get in touch! Updated spreadsheet of samples on my profile.

Like the reviewer below, I also did a blind buy purchase. I am a big fan of Mancera fragrances and this appealed to me due to its notes and limited edition status of not being sold in the US. I know each nose is different; however, this scent reminds me of Reflection Man by Amouage. If you are into the the Woody/Floral mixes, this scent is for you. Unfortunately, I will post this on ebay to sell it, not up my alley, I will most likely pursue Black to Black to get more of the harsh Oud.
In terms of performance, this is a sillage and projection beast! My wife enjoyed the scent, it leaves a trail behind you, and it lasts quite awhile.

So, I am a sucker for blind buys…..there are times where I strike out and there are times where I hit a grand slam home run; well friends, this is out of the park!!!
I received Mancera-Aoud SandRoses yesterday and today is my opportunity to wear and find out what it do…..
First spray I get Rose, Jasmine, Sandalwood, and Saffron up front. The fragrance dances and dances-what I mean when I say dances is, it evolves from one note or set of notes to the others (top to middle back to top then to base….)
I don’t get any Hot Pepper, although it is in there, nor Ylang-Ylang. After the top and middle notes rest, here you have the Leather and Oakmoss that begins to blend with the others so so nicely giving this fragrance such a creamy, rosey, yet musky feel. This dry-down reminds me a little of Gold Man from Amouage, yet, distinctly different.
Finally, the Patchouli and Geranium intertwine with this rambunctious, yet subtle set of notes giving this fragrance (in my opinion) extremely high marks…wonderful, just wonderful!!
I put this on (4 sprays-1 on each side of the neck, 1 on the chest, and in the hand where I rubbed my hands together to rub behind my ears); This was at 7:15 am when I got to my office at 8:30 am my director said he could smell this fragrance in another part of the building (after I left out of that space). So, the sillage (-CHECK) is unbelievable!! Later, upon entering into my office, my director asked, “WHAT IS THAT FRAGRANCE YOU HAVE ON?” Please don’t tell me I am going to have to sell a body-part in order to get some? Mancera-SandRoses….Man, that smells amazing!!!
Projection, CHECK!!
What I noticed about this fragrance is, when sprayed on my hand it was clearly oil based, where as the spot didn’t dry as quickly as some fragrances may due to the alcohol, which indicates that it will linger and maintain its potency quite nicely!!
So, I purchased a 4 oz bottle; this is going to last for quite some time!!
Overall, I would give this fragrance a 10/10 for performance, projection, longevity, sillage, and any other category one can come up with!! As been mentioned, this is a Chypre Floral, however I would also label this as slightly oriental with a touch of sweetness!!!
Word of caution: Fellas, I think this is a unisex fragrance; some may conclude this to lean more feminine than masculine. Again, I think both can rock this and would be fine. I am liking it more and more! To each his/her own-if you find this fragrance in your hands,…..I say rock ON!!!
By the way, the wife loves it!!
Update: this fragrance is magnificent, its like…..can’t find the words to describe what a fantastic smell!
Recent update on 8/14/2016-This fragrance is simply wonderful!!!!!
