Wow. I was not expecting to like this at all, and I’ve been very pleasantly surprised. The name of this oil is so appropriate. It really does smell like vanilla and old lace. I never would have imagined that I would want to smell like old lace, but when mixed with vanilla it actually smells quite good. So, this is a vanilla scent tempered by a linen note.

This was one of the few vanillas from the Lab that I could wear. Others turned burned plastic on me, awful. This is a very well made soft floral vanilla, with a white musk at the base and some sweet florals.
Sadly discontinued, which is a shame because the longevity and sillage is awesome with BPALs.
I find this a bit similar to TBS Madagascan Vanilla Flower.

This was a very pretty vanilla. Slightly marshmellowy, a cool vanilla and the faint smell of old flowers. I am not sure what the flowers are but they smell like an older victorian perfume. I loved this scent. It’s very sad it’s discontinued.

I find it crazy that the main note in this is missing, along with some of the others!
I used to find this softly musky with a cool vanilla and a hint of something retro-floral.
Aging, or my skin changing means now the vanilla has taken a back seat and a huge lily note has come to the forefront. A shame as I loved it before.

LAB’S DESCRIPTION
“Nostalgia encapsulated. A soft, wistful blend of dry flowers, aged linens, and the faint breath of long-faded perfumes”
This is another one of those famous BPAL blends that everyone talks about and I can see why! As a vanilla lover I was sure I was going to like this and now I’ve tried it, I can safely say this is an incredibly beautiful perfume.
It’s a very musky sweet vanilla, with a background of linen/clean laundry. Simple and gorgeous. It doesn’t need anything else to make it special.
It has a hell of alot of throw on me and I absolutely adore it.
It kind of reminds me of marshmallow slightly. That’s how sweet and fluffy it is. Kind of like those sweet dollheads I smelled as a child, but not so plasticy.
Yum yum yum! This oil deserves all the credit it gets!
Unfortuatley it’s now discontinued…boooo!
