Wow. Last forever and changes and develops throughout the day. Started off very musky for me with a hint of wood and some vetiver, took a while to settle down on the skin after about an hour or so the musk had faded and I got a lot of really nice oud, akin to Tom Ford. Later when I went from being in the cold to being in a heated room the musk came back. Lasted forever (I could smell it subtly on my wrist the next morning) but changes and develops through the day. I imagine it would greatly vary from person to person. I’ve not come across anything else like it, if your thinking about getting some do, with only 100 or so bottles and at $60 a pop it’s amazingly good value for the oud smell alone. It really is androgynous not particular masculine or feminine, and well named.
I enjoyed it a lot more than CB I hate perfume’s musk which for mine had a sort of rotting fruit quality to it, there’s none of that here, there’s a freshness and a sweetness, the amberette is light and slightly floral but then the woodsy tones and the later oud are masculine but without any machismo. Not sure if it’s an every day experience but definitely one for the collection. Would love to hear what others experience particularly if anyone tries layering.
