Ummm, whoa! This is not the usual VS type of fragrance. I sprayed it on my wrist and had instant scent memory flash back to mid 20’s when I wore Neonatura Cocoon Yves Rocher. This is the memory of Cocoon. It’s not quite as heavy and cocoaish, but it’s enough so I had instant recognition. I smell a dry, bitter, dark chocolate patchouli, warm amber, vanilla and a clean musk shyly hanging out in the background. I’m honestly shocked this was made produced by VS. I don’t know who the nose is but I’m willing to wager they were a Cocoon fan. This scent is unisex, maybe even slightly masculine, and the bottle and packing is pretty, even elegant! I had a 20% off coupon and got a $20 reward card with purchase so I bought it. Now, I’m sitting here sniffing and having memories of my life over a decade ago. It doesn’t smell exactly like Cocoon, but it absolutely is the memory of it with an added clean musk in the drydown. Bravo to VS for going so far out of their usually paint by numbers sweet, fruity fare.
This layers very well with vanilla based scents and I’m sure it would with many fragrances especially chocolate and vanilla ones. I tried it with Vanille West Indies Ligne St. Barth and I smell incredibly good right now!
