Description

Rose is the forth flower in a beautiful garden of Thierry Mugler. Soft and sweet queen of flowers matches incredibly well with scented Angel theme. Allied with patchouli and woody oriental notes, rich rose represents the new irresistible floral edition of Angel. Citrus cocktail opens the composition. The heart is filed with beautiful Bulgarian rose, plum and pink pepper. Base notes are gourmand: vanilla, caramel, chocolate and coumarin. The nose behind his fragrance is Olivier Cresp. It was launched in 2006.

I prefer it to original Angel. It’s less heavy, but more floral, exactly rosy, so more beautiful to my nose. I also like that there are my favorite plum and pink pepper here. They make it more seductive! And, of course, chocolate, caramel and patchouli like in original one.
I love it!!! It’s so gourmand and yummy with very beautiful rose. Very intriguing!

I don’t actually like this-I think that rose combined with Angel yields a rather cacophonous result-but it does make me yearn for pre-reformulation Angel because it reminds me of how strong and sweet it used to be. Now, I still love Angel, it’s one of my all time favorite perfumes and I know this will sound insane, but Angel is neither very sweet nor does it possess heavy sillage AT ALL in it’s current formulation. Again, this will sound crazy, but Angel now dries down to a powdery patchouli skinscent in 30 minutes!!! It’s a lot more wearable now, but Angel Muse is more of a powerhouse to me than the current formulation of Angel. Anyway, this stuff is good old Angel from back in the day for sure, bombastic with just one spray, but with the addition of the same kind of rose that’s in Givenchy Very Irresistible. I like that note, I just don’t think it meshes with the scent of Angel at all, I’d rather just own separate bottles of Angel and Very Irresistible. But hey, if you do like this or expect to like it, it’s a pretty good value considering it’s almost obnoxiously strong from literally just one little spray.

La Rose Angel smells like you’ve been heating cotton candy over a can of Sterno in the back of a florist’s shop.
Spun sugar and hothouse blooms, but dank in the shadows.

If angel came in the form of a fruity shampoo, this is exactly what it would smell like. As usual, I like the original much more.

There must be something wrong with me- I have never been a fan of Angel, in fact the only flanker I actually enjoyed was Angel Sucree, yet even then it was a passing interest. Garden of Stars is very similar to the original formulation, except the patchouli and roses seemed to have been injected with steroids.
This opens up with a blast of patchouli, followed by soft roses and a bitter chocolate. It starts off very sharp at first and intensely fruity- there is a cloying sweet note that makes me a little sick to my stomach. I had hoped something would eventually alleviate the heavy patchouli and pepper but I was disappointed to find that it didn’t change much throughout the day. I normally love patchouli fragrances but this one has been formulated with a heavy hand, it’s a little too “earthy” for me. Strangely I did not pick up any vanilla; hints of bergamot become more evident throughout the dry down. Sillage is heavy with this perfume, and longevity is pretty good (about 3-5 hours).
Overall I am not a fan of this line, I feel like Thierry Mugler makes some amazing power house fragrances, and they are all unique in their own way. But in my experience, most of his creations are either hit or miss. If you’re a major fan of the original Angel you’ll probably enjoy Garden of Stars; however if you hated the former, then its flanker is really nothing new.

I was afraid of this one, truly. I have a terrible habit of falling for unobtainable perfumes, and I was sure that this would be love at first sniff. And, of course, it was. Because that first whiff is Angel, just as we’ve always known her. Moments later, the sweetness, the choco-cream-cara-mmmmm starts to lift away, revealing a fresh, blousy rose. Not grandma-dusty rose, not Arabic deep and spicy rose, not round and feminine a la Paul Smith rose. Just a plain old rose, that peeks out, then creeps back behind the cumin that is rush forward. 20 minutes in, and cumin is at the front of everything. I am in the spice aisle at a Halal grocery, and maybe somewhere 4 aisles over someone is wearing a nice Swiss Arabian scent, something without oud (if such a thing exists anymore). But most of all, it’s cumin. And more cumin. I stopped sniffing at it an hour and a half in. The disappointment was, at least a relief. Thank you for saving me, Mr. Mugler, from having to scare up yet more discontinued smell-goods. This one was a miss for me. Thank god.

I always respected original angel as a masterpiece but I found it very hard to wear.it is aggressive, bitter and masculine on me,thats a long time since I gave up on angel and I was nit even willing to test it’s flankes
    I recieved a 0.8 oz angel la rose as a gift..what a nice surprise
There is a vivid angel signature, patchouli and dark, chocolate here but rose plays an amazing magic here,I should confess I love this one!
There is a fresh, super pretty rose added to the combination,it changes overall scent to more feminine, lighter and wearable version..it’s softer and more rounded.I don’t find this one that much sweet too.it’s bitter sweet just as original angel, also very longlasting with great sillage and more proper for colder days…very well made and balanced…I love, love love how fresh, wet rose petals delicate scent with a fruity undertone blends with chocolate patchouli,it’s very fresh, deep, warm and powerful the same time

Sampling thanks to generous giveaway….initial spray i just thought same as angel…after a minute or so i smell a little sour fruit and a wet rose….if this was still sold alongside regular angel, i would choose this. I appreciate regular angel but its too recognisable, this gives me a similar pleasure but i feel its not as shouty as the original.

Exactly as most others have said, this is a slightly lighter, fruitier version of Angel. It’s definitely related, that angel signature scent is unmistakeable, but a pretty rose freshens this up just the right amount so you’re not run over by the full on Angel bus. I like the IDEA of Angel and whilst I had a bottle, with a variety of accessorising products, and I’m not afraid of a loud scent, the only thing I could bring mySelf to wear was the hair mist. I ended up giving away my full bottle. I just keep a mini now for the sake of having it, but I never want to wear it. THIS, however is much less a bus, more like a sleek, shiny but not ostentatious BMW. Classy with enough fun from that pretty rose so it’s never dull or pompous.

I gave my bottle to my niece a few years ago after getting in trouble at work for wearing it. She never wore so I took it back recently. I’m not sure if it has changed with age or I am misremembering it: now smells very strongly of excellent heavily scented tobacco. Fantastic.

The original Angel shocked me at first. I thought I hated it, but was drawn to the dry down. But it was still too much for me. Yet, I kept going back, but still couldn’t bring myself to like it. What was going on here? Well, I received a Le Lys sample in a swap and thought “this I can wear”. So I bought samples of all the Garden of Stars thinking I would like Violet the most. Funny, that was my least favorite. Over time, I love three- Pivoine amd Lys on me dry down exclusively to those respective flowers. So, lighter and nicer for spring. It’s the Rose that has captivated me the most. It’s Angel, but more rounded and softer. It doesn’t attack you. So, like many here have said; it’s a much more wearable Angel. While I feel assaulted by Angel, Le Rose feels like a huge warm, enveloping hug. A sexy hug. But who knows? I’ve ordered a FB (tester is all I could find) of this. Perhaps after wearing it more, I may graduate to the original Angel. Baby steps for now…

I’m a passionate lover of the original Angel. However I love variations, and I congratulate myself very often on having bought large bottles of the whole Garden of Stars. I find them to be “Spring and Summer Angels”
The Rose Angel is a bit lighter than the original, but has great staying power. A big, juicy rose is very noticeable for the first hours, it is more of a floral perfume with some gourmand overtones. Then, the rosy aroma fades. Like in a masked ball, under the veil of roses there hides the face of a good old friend, who Angel is to me.

For me this one is the most similar to the original Angel, I can’t really detect any rose either… it smells more like patchouli and peony to me.

  14. :

    5 out of 5

For me this is more wearable Angel.
If you like the theme/idea of the original Angel EDP, yet you find the original too hard to pull, try this one.
Right from the first spritz, you will recognize the Angel theme in it, yet it is sligtly different. Where Angel starts strong, dense and sometimes even obtrusive, this, whilst still truthful to the Angel theme, is more airy and little bit fruity at the beginning.
As the time progresses, the fruitiness goes away and you are left with a soft blend of patchouli, rose and some other notes which I cannot identify. There is a tiny little bit of chocolate sweetness and some musk which gives this composition the “fullness”. As to the rose note, I wouldn’t say that this is overly “rose” fragrance so in this regard I would say that the name is little bit misleading.
EDIT: I have been complimented on this one.
Further, some have compared this to Midnight Poison by Dior (well, this was the reason why I blindly bought it). I have to disagree. Midnight Poison is more cold minty piercing patchouli rose. Angel La Rose is warmed up and “fatted” by the chocolate/milky note.
To sum up, if you want to buy the exact substitute for sadly discontinued Midnight Poison – this is not it.
If you want something similar to the original Angel, try it. It does not have a killer sillage or longetivity of the original but these are still well present. It does not kick and scream and demands respect as the original Angel, yet it is still well noticeable and statement fragrance.

To my nose this is rose, patchouli and louds of cotton candy and I love it. This is not a sour or natural branch-and-twigs-rose but a sweet and deep one. Any patchouli lover needs to try this marvellous fragrance. But don’t think Cabaret, this one is nothing like it, not as dry or medicinal in the opening notes. No no, this is a rose gourmand amplified.

Love, love, love! Please bring this back!
This perfume was way to strong for me when I first purchased it. I thought it smelled oddly, chemical? Sadly it sat on my dresser for a year before I tried it again.
It did have that same chemical smell at first, but the multifaceted dry down was amazing. On my skin it went from strong rose and chocolate with a heavy musk smell to a warmer, smoother musk, finally settling to a warm, sexy rose, amber, vanilla, and to my surprise, anise! I love black licorice, and black jelly beans, and I really think this perfume has a little dash of both

The underlying cold and herbal green accord is what makes this candided rose exraordinary. The rich dark chocolate makes one think of sweet temptations and cold winters, night walks in old European capitals, gargoyles, deserted streets and bells in the distance. Wicked.

  18. :

To me it smells exactly like Angel but the dry down is a little softer, less harsh.

I have never been able to wear the original Angel but La Rose is just different enough to make it work with my chemistry. There is something too intense about the original Angel on my skin that is really toned down in La Rose and it makes it so much easier to wear and more enjoyable (for me). I had given up on the original ever working on me and only tried this because I am such a rose crack head. I hear the word “rose” and I start walking toward it in a trance…. “Me must have rose….” I don’t get much obvious rose in this but it is definitely more pink floral and fruity and less rich, chocolatey and gourmand compared to the original. It is a bit fresher and feels lighter in weight. But it still retains the Angel vibe that I “almost” liked in the original. It smells very similar but just different enough to make a fragrance I never thought I could wear more easy going and wearable and quite enjoyable. Can’t stop sniffing!
UPDATE: I have now gone bonkers for the original Angel. I think I just needed training wheels from all the flankers to appreciate the original. The original is out of this world addictive. Not sure why it took me so long to appreciate it!

    dAngels refined cousin….
I had the chance to purchase this lovely fragrance, and bought it blind. The notes sounded so inviting, I just had to try it! I am so glad I did! This is really a fabulous fragrance. I have had Angel in the past, and found it OK..not one of my real favorites, just OK..so, I wondered what Angel would smell like, with a twist. The opening is a blast of green bergamot, almost like the green stems of the roses had been crushed together with the bergamot. I was worried this note would remain throughout, and was momentarily disappointed. But no, after a few minutes the note settled into a lovely soft rose, combined with a nice juicy plum. This is not a fruity plum, but a sort of soft anchor for the Rose. After awhile , I could pick up on the Angel vibe, but this was not the shout in your face Angel. This is the refined cousin, who has been to Private Schools, and has elocution lessons. She has beautiful manners, and knows when to appear, and always comes across like a lady. The longevity is very good, and sillage as well. The dry down is just beautiful! Not too sweet, but the caramel and chocolate/patch is there. I have already worn this several times, and each time I enjoy it more. Presentation is lovely, the bottle, box, velvet pouch…it all goes with the concept. Yes, I am impressed with this lovely little lady. The elegant, and refined cousin of Angel….

Finally broke out my 13 year old 25ml bottle to use. Unfortunately the colour of the juice has changed to a dark cognac colour. Crossed my fingers and sprayed. No citrus cocktail detected but it could have gone off due to the age of my bottle. I get mainly a strong chocolatey floral, almost masculine, even dirty due to the amplified patchouli. It’s really strong and grows on you the more you sniff at it. Definitely not office safe. Will wear it again at night on cold days.

sounds really harsh, but the best TM fragrances are his flankers majority of the time other than innocent. if only these designer houses would come on fragrantica and see how nuts people go over limited editions and how much they disappoint people when they get rid of something that sells like hot cakes. my mum had this at one point its a much softer powdery version of the original. i liked to wear this in the summertime and skip around the funfair while i was holidaying in spain. at that time i also owned Violet Angel which is also stunning
Please. Please Please bring this and the garden of stars line back!

This is the one that resembles the most from the whole Garden of Stars series. I am really really surprised to read that people who don’t like Angel like this one. The opening is almost identical to Angel and then I can definitely feel the “Angel” vibe even in the drydown. Really makes me wonder what is the ingredient of Angel that they dislike. Anyway, I like Angel La Rose, but I also like Angel. I believe that if someones likes Angel or Innocent, s/he will definitely like this. I prefer Angel more, but this is just a matter of taste. I think this is sweeter than Angel. Angel has a more mysterious air around it and it is more complex. But prepared to be mistaken that you are wearing Angel if people don’t know a lot about perfumes or just randomly smell you at the street. Also it doesn’t have the duration of Angel, at least on me. It lasts about 4 hours. But, for someone who wants a milder version of Angel, I guess this is better.

    Rose patchouli bomb!
Wonderful strong perfume, highly recommended to those who adore Angel flankers especially innocent. Dominating patchouli aroma, yet not heavy of heady and could wear it even in the summer. The rose in not strong though, while it is spicy enough to keep it very interesting. I am sure if you start collecting Mugler perfumes you would never stop doing it because the secret lies in the formulation and you become a Mugler addict. I am thinking of trying the whole Garden collection. Super choice!

when first sprayed this smells exactly like angel, but within moments a candied fruity rose comes forth and then the florals are tempered with all the other regular angel notes. this seems slightly more green than original angel and the chocolate and patchouli are a little more subtle. i love angel, i love rose and i love this as well! i think my skin chemistry actually works a bit better with this and i like that it’s a bit subtler than angel on me.

Why would they discontinue this? This one is one of the most unique and chocolaty scents I have ever smelled and the garden of stars bottle is gorgeous! This smells like Angel eau de toilette but more chocolate and spice, I love it!

  28. :

    5 out of 5

Not impressed. Smells almost identical to the original Angel. It has that horrible stale sweat/body odour smell when it dries down 🙁
I love patchouli essential oil, so it’s not that.. I certainly do not smell cacao/chocolate etc either. The most confusing scent ever from it’s ‘key’ notes.

  29. :

    4 out of 5

    Wonderful!
Reminds me of angel EDT, shame this is discontinued (tho u can bull buy tester sprays from eBay).
Sweet, soft rose pairs with a more delicate and greener patchouli. The main gourmand note for me is the bitter chocolate tho the overall accord contains traces of many other notes.
Long lasting and moderate, almost strong projection.
I think it almost smells masculine, as with the EDT. Great for me as I’m a guy!

I like this more than the original angel, it’s still very sweet but the spicyness helps to balance it out a bit for me. It is also very strong, I got three wears out of my sample and that was plenty. Do I like it enough to buy it? Probably not.

  31. :

This stuff is awful for me. I’m not familiar with the whole angel line at all. Bradleyray mentioned vanilla fields. To me it smells something like that, layered with lynx. It’s exactly how I don’t want to smell. Bad mens deodorant with very sweet women’s perfume! No no no.

  32. :

    4 out of 5

This perfume makes me hot and botherered and craving for attention!! Oh my!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!
It’s Angel with a twist (rose of course). It’s sultry, sexy, magnificent and utterly seductive. My hubby is like putty in my hands when I wear this!
I won’t go into the notes, Zzzz, we all know about the notes in Angel, but it’s the experience which you need to savour.
This fragrance is hot sex in a bottle, it grabs you, holds on to you, doesn’t let you go and before you know what is happening, it’s got you on your knees begging for more.
This juice is a massive powerbomb, has amazing longevity and takes centre stage wherever you may be. If quiet and subdued is what you want, then please don’t wear this.
I know I’m biased because I worship all Mugler fragrances, especially the Angel range, but this gets 20/10 from me.

  33. :

I’m not a fan of Angel but I quite like this perfume. Something about it reminds me of a men’s cologne… in a good way… I think it would be great on confident women (or to feel confident even). It’s big on patchouli but the rose and slight sweetness I get from chocolate and vanilla balance it out really nicely.

  34. :

    5 out of 5

I had the wonderful luck to score a set of all four Garden of Stars fragrances, in adorable 5ml bottles. They’re splash bottles, with a tiny little stopper attached to the glorious crystalline star top. Of course, as usual TM fashion, excellent presentation, design, and quality.
I’m also a huge fan of the concept. Angel is my signature fragrance, and it’s something I truly love more than life itself. It has a little something for everyone in terms of notes, except on my skin, it seems to be lacking in the floral department. That’s what I love about this collection: It offers a beautiful, more floral-based presentation of the original Angel.
This is the second one I’ve tried……one word:
WOW. Just wow. I can’t believe this fragrance. It’s seriously like a more intense version of Angel. It’s like Angel has been concentrated and focused onto its most intense, delicious notes.
This is essentially Angel EDP, with an incredible BLAST of rose. This fragrance literally RADIATES intense, rough patchouli, with a very powerful, lush rose in the passenger seat.
If you love Angel, you HAVE to have this. It’s like someone took all the best notes from Angel, eliminated the unnecessary ones, and amplified the important ones by about 50%.
This projects, and it lasts. Given that Angel is my favorite perfume, and the rose is one of my favorite flowers, I’m going to preliminarily deem this as my favorite of the Garden of Stars.
This will be perfect for those icy, winter days when I need a bomb of fragrance to warm me up. I typically rely on Angel for that, but now that I have this rosy, intense version of Angel, I have yet another warm, delicious floral gourmand for the job.
10/10. Absolutely gorgeous, but for ANGEL LOVERS ONLY. It’s safe to say that if you don’t like Angel, you won’t like this at all.

Rose + a lighter version of Angel. Very pleasent. My mother has stuck with Vanilla Fields by Coty for since before I was born (I’m almost 19) but she almost switched to this when I let her smell it. It takes a good perfume to get her attention and this one hit the spot.
Like wearing angel on a cool spring night when it’s still chilly out side and the roses are just blooming and you catch a whiff of their intoxicating natural perfume and it mixes with your angel, becoming this brand new angelic scent that just makes you happy. :]
    Scent: 10/10
    Logevity: MUGLER lol. (10/10)
    Projection: 9/10
    Overall: 29/30

La Rose opens with a fruity rose. I’m not too keen on rose perfumes, but this rose is fresh and infused with plum and bergamot.
Some time later the famous patchouli and chocolate combo appear, but they are still covert by a lovely veil of rose. The patchouli, though intense, is not as strong, heady or dirty as in the original Angel. I believe that is thanks to a softer chocolate, with more caramel thrown in.
The drydown stays fresh, despite the heavy gourmand notes. It reminds me somewhat of Innocent by the same house.
La Rose is a lovely, lighter rendition of the heavy gourmand classic, and it’s quite beautiful. Try it.
    Thanks anna.glowacka for the sample!

  37. :

    3 out of 5

La Rose strikes on my skin like the drydown of Angel, loud patchouli + choco-caramel combo. It then soon dissipates.
Then comes the heart which is my favourite part. Plum, bergamot, patchouli and some pepper, displayed on a rose carpet. Underneath hide chocolate and caramel, which I catch a whiff from time to time. The rose is never dominate, but helps to blend everything in. It acts more like the caramel in Alien the Taste of Fragrance if you understand what I mean.
Towards the drydown, the patch + choco-caramel combo becomes more and more prominent but never to full strength like the original. Though I love the typical Angel base notes, I still wish the middle parts could last longer as it combines classic Angel elements but restructures and brings something new to the table.
The sillage and longevity are both significantly softer. If you’re looking for a toned down Angel, this can be a good option. However, if you’re looking for an extraordinary rose dominante fragrance, I’m afraid this might not meet your expectation.

Sample review, thanks A. for sharing!
On me this opens rather spicy after which it transforms into a fruity rosescent accompanied by patchouli. This smoothly moves on to the sweet basenotes of vanilla, caramel & chocolate.
    Nice!

Well, I’ll be darned. This juice may be pink and have a girly name, but it actually smells like a unisex, leaning towards masculine, scent.
I tried the original Angel on at Sephora a few weeks ago, and that was a vanilla licorice heady sweet-and-sour perfume; I bought a sample of this flanker in an attempt to find a scent that features rose, and I smell a little bit in here, but it’s definitely not featured, nor all that different from Angel.
I get a bit of that same licorice-salty smell (is this patchouli?) and some kind of indeterminate high-flying sweetness. Not what I was looking for, but I was delighted by the gender marketing disconnect.

I only tried the original Angel once, and it seemed kind of… normal. Maybe being repeatedly exposed to it through the years by smelling Angel and all of it’s knockoffs on legions of tweens, teens, and twentysomethings has taken away all of it’s shock value and made it seem innofensive. Maybe my nose was just stuffed up that day. I’m not sure. I know I’m going to have to test it out again soon.
I got Angel Rose as a blind buy because it was so cheap, and I love rose perfumes. I really like it, even though the rose doesn’t stand out that much on my skin. I don’t smell any of the obnoxious synthetic white florals that are supposed to be in the original, thank god. The top note is fruit and camphor. I’m not sure what fruit it’s supposed to be. Maybe it’s plum, only plums that are a still a few days away from being ripe. Sometimes I think it’s mango or even pineapple. After a few minutes, the fruity top notes meet up with the patchouli and chocalate base and provide a pleasant contrast until the very end of the drydown.

A little history: I hated angel when it came out – I only smelled it once on paper, it was overwhelmingly nasty. Well 20 years later, after reading all these great reviews and liking Alien, I tried it again on my skin, I was impressed. Now there are so many flankers out there and I have a lot of catching up to do! I bought this Angel Rose on e bay at a really great price and today I tried it. I liked it immediately. After some time only the Rose, patcheuly and a faint angel remain and it is very soft and calming. I keep smelling my arm and after about an hour I find that it reminds me of great masculine smell, clean, showered and just the perfect cologne…faint…I just find it so intriguing and I think this has got to be a great unisex scent. I need to give it more time and wear it another day before I can really do a good review. I do love it1

I bought this as a collector but now I wear it as a…wearer. I like Angel but it’s just too much. With la Rose you can wear Angel and not feel like a one mand band. I never thought I would wear in public but I fell in love with it while trying at home and it works. Color me surprised and delighted.

Original Angel with big portion pepper and sweet rose. What I do not appreciate is the sharp, peppery, almost masculine note in it. Excellent silage and longevity.
If you ask me, I prefer Angel because of the strong fruitiness,

I really hate original Angel but i LOVEEEEEE Angel Rose ….
Is awsome the first snif until the drydown…
The patchouli apears very soft, i can smell chocolate, caramel, rose, tobacco and a litlle spices.
Was absolute an amazing surprise…2 sprays only for sure and stays forever.

Angel Rose seems to be the nicest flanker in the Angel-range to me. Not only does it work well with my skin from the first seconds after application, but also presents beautiful and mellow sweet patchouli drydown.
At first I was a bit reserved, although it did not produce the harsh sensation of patchouli-chocolate-caramel battle as it was in the case of Angel EDP and EDT, it was just plain pink-peppery and rosy, which was not exactly what I expected from this fragrance. Alas, after some time it developed smoothly into a well-balanced, round and sweet patchouli dipped in the caramel chocolate, with only a hint of a delicate rose. At this point I surrendered to its beauty and couldn’t refrain from sniffing it off my skin – it’s that addictive!
AR has great longevity: 8 hours on skin and whole day on clothes. The only downside is that its projection is so much lesser than that of the original Angel, which unfortunately prevents me from willing to reach into my pockets to buy it, especially that it is rather pricey.
Otherwise, a perfect Angel flanker – that will most likely please those who cannot cope with the original.

Mmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmm my dear lovely rose how I love thee! On first spray I detect the citrus top notes, but only briefly for 5-10 seconds (luckily for me as I detest citrus on my skin). After that the patchouli comes out to play but softer than in the original, the pepper lingers, and the caramel adds just the tiniest but of sweetness to the rose. I do not detect the chocolate or vanilla, this fragrance is very well blended and I think the only reason I pick out any notes is because of my familiarity with all Thierry Mugler and the rose pepper combo of Innocent Rock. Overall though, I’d generalize this as a softer, more linear Angel but as where Angel is predominantly fruity gourmand this is a soft spicy floral. Do not underestimate it though, as it has lasted over 7 hours today and is still alive and kicking even in this nasty tropical storm band of rain and humidity. The sillage is amazing as with all Thierry Mugler, he truly did it again!
    Originality 10/10
    Longevity 10/10
    Sillage 10/10

On me all I get from La Rose is patchouli, patchouli, patchouli and then rose nothing sweet. It smells so funky on me just doesn’t work with my chemistry, pity.

I received a sample of this during a recent swap. Smells identical to Angel to me, maybe a little spicier. II smelled this on me all day long even in the pouring rain. I love sillage monsters and this will be added to my want list.

I Do not care for this version at all. Thankfully I bought it at a good price. I will always love Angel but any other version does not ever seem to live up to the original EVER!!!

The base of La Rose Angel holds a powerful allure, you don’t really see it coming given the amount of syrup present during the early evolution.
La Rose is sinfully hypnotic once the sugar dissolves and burns off exposing a surprisingly suave Don Juan patchouli seductively saddling a sweaty plum wine induced drunken coumarin clad in rose velvet.
This private spectacle goes on well into the night pleasuring all who are privy to it for hours.
A spectacular achievement, I admire and respect how La Rose comes to life during the heart phase and does not relent until dawn.
The current champion of my collection, I don’t ever want to stop smelling this good.<
