Description

Thierry Mugler presents new version of its most popular women’s fragrance Angel from 1992. The limited edition for summer of 2014 is named Angel Eau Sucre.

“In summer 2014, Angel becomes more tempting than ever, transforming into the desirable and sensual, mouth-watering limited edition Eau Sucrée. A mischievous and delicious new interpretation of Angel, Eau Sucrée is an invitation to indulge in pure gourmand pleasure.”

The composition begins with juicy, tangy and frosted red berries sorbet. The heart includes a new gourmand accord of caramelized meringue cream. The final touch is oriental and sensual thanks to notes of patchouli and vanilla. The perfume is developed by Dorothee Piot.

The packaging is inspired by vintage confectionery and it evokes memories of childhood with its blue – white candy striped. The pearly star – shaped bottle is sprinkled with glitter that reminiscent of sugar. Available as 50 ml Eau de Toilette.

I don’t really like the original angel, but this one is so yummy and sugar coated, perfect for winter time

I don’t get the berries for long, then it’s a lemony vanilla cloud of yumminess. On me, it’s a gourmand reminiscent of Shalimar Souffle (a lemony vanilla powderpuff). I never reached for Souffle because it was so powdery on me. Eau Sucree is very sweet, so light I think it’s a skin scent, but I have that cloud that I’m pretty sure everyone notices. Not musky, no funk like the edp. A strong like so far.
ETA: This is growing on me. If I spray lightly, I get an unidentifiable aura of yumminess, where it becomes part of my smell, rather than a distinct perfume. I find myself reaching for this when I’m hanging around the house.

Opens with a big proud blast of Ocean Spray Cran-Raspberry frozen concentrate, then melts down to a puff of meringue and saucy caramel.
Dregs of vanilla extract sit on the skin, rubbed dry with sweet patchouli dust.
A bit mischievous–Pippi Longstocking with fake eyelashes and a pink sling-shot.

I’ll add my two scents ( get it?) to this bizarre thread
Why not contact Mugler himself? He’s on Instagram and he does communicate, he interacted with me. Other than that ladies and gents enjoy the fragrance and keep the peace xoxo
Ps. I own this fragrance and I don’t enjoy it it smells sweaty to me. Sweet body sweat I cannot wear it. I think angel edp is amazing and untouchable !!!

Yes, let’s believe a Sephora manager but dispute two emails from the Mugler corporation. Makes total sense. I’m done. Good day.

Christianne, I don’t know why Mugler USA doesn’t mention the variations, I think the perfume is made in France, and the nose is french,so Mugler France would definitely know the answer to the question..it isnt about Germany, and me, I have known her for a long time..I don’t come on this forum to argue like a teenager , I care to help people…
Angel sucre isn’t the only perfume that gets tweaked every year, and yet no mention of the variations,..the perfume industry is self regulated, which means they can reformulated whenever , and nobody will know about it,,,
I had been told a couple years ago by a sephora manager that the versions were somewhat different, and it made sense to me..I have owned all the versions, and I can smell the differences…just because you and/ or others can’t , doesn’t mean we are lying about it. What is ridiculous is that I am supposed to believe you guys over the Mugler people in France !?

Sorry but if Germany was right, I would be the first to admit it !.. I don’t know why Mugler USa is saying what they are saying…many say the formulas are unchanged..I Remember that the perfume industry is self regulated, so they don’t need to inform anybody when they tweak perfumes…just know what I was told, and I happen to agree with it..now I am done with it really, because it isn’t that important to me!!

Thanks Christi , it rattles me how someone is so arrogant and disputes a whole company and continues to make up her own story .
it’s really hard to believe that she doesn’t understand the differnt sites and posts and perfume descriptions ,even here on fragrantica under 2017 clearly says the fragrance remains the same but rebottled. I don’t know how much more proof one needs but I guess she does. Here in my city it’s also a known fact when you go to purchase it they tell you , as they should have that information at all the counters Muglers are sold.
    Bonjour Verena,
    Thank you for contacting us!
Our Angel Eau Sucree does have many versions of the limited edition bottles although the beautiful fragrance within remains the same. We do not currently have any plans of the fragrance going away so you can continue to enjoy!

I really don’t like going round and round with people on Fragrantica but it seems Gennie17 follows Germany around disputing anything she says. The thing is, Germany is CORRECT. The scent is not changed, it’s the same, only the bottles change. It says so in the company descriptions. Since apparently that isn’t enough, I contacted them and heard back this morning. Here is the email:
    Bonjour Christi,
    Thank you for contacting us!
You are correct, there is no difference in scent between the different limited editions of Angel Eau Sucree. The only difference is the color of the bottles.

Well, truth is, there are differences between the versions..I placed a call to Mugler France, I was tired of the back and forth regarding yes or not they are different,,,and I just wanted to find out, once and for all..spoke to Estelle and asked her if the versions were different every year…she wasn’t sure, so she said she would check into it and would get back to me…I forgot about it and didn’t expect to hear back honestly…turned out she did speak to people close to the nose behind it, and there are variations ….now that should put the discussion to rest.
I always smelled a difference , and I trust my nose., but you never know?.now, the variations are subtle, nonentheless they are not figments of my imagination, or other members who did notice a difference., more patchouli, less patchouli, more meringue, less meringue, it changes the tone of a perfume..
When Alien was reformulated, I could smell it right away too..
Many perfumes get tweaked yet there are no mention of the variations, and those are detected by many..i am thinking of Black opium Wild, supposedly same as edp, well , smells different to lots…just another example,

@ smiler , you can save your money ,all the sucrees are the same. If you like collecting bottles from mugler that’s a differnt storry. However this particular year of bottle is my least favouurte bottle anyways. But rest at peace I asked the Mugler Representatve and she said they are all the same fragrance and the fragrance is now part of the permanent collection due to its popularity.
Personally I like sucree but it is a bit of a generic cupcake smell. Very pleasant and gets you compliments. It’s a little sweet for some days but in general I do love it. My new favouurte is the somewhat fresher fruity fair.
Pm me of you want my bottle !

It is giving me faint honey/cotton candy vibes without being too much; essentially, it is very subtle. Thankfully it is eau de toilette, otherwise, it would be like getting your head dunked in a cotton candy machine and wearing it—literally.
Perfect for warm weather, thinking it will do good in the fall. It reminds me of D&G La Roue De La Fortune. I wish I still had some of that one

I’m so gutted that I’ve missed this one because I’ve got the other Eau Sucree’s and I’d love this in my collection.
However, I’ve been told that they all smell the same, and that there are only tweaks made. Can anyone tell me if this is correct or not, please? I would still buy this, if only for the bottle!

I like this fragrance; I don’t love it. And I think it’s because notes of “red berries” just don’t do it for me. If you love red berries, you will love this.
I was expecting for this to essentially be a much lighter version of the original Angel, which means that it would smell like a light and fluffy piece of cake (rather than a super dense dark chocolate piece of cake, like in the original Angel). I’d say that this is the “gummy bear” version of the original Angel. It definitely smells sweet, but not in the way I was expecting. I wish that this was more of a light and fluffy vanilla gourmand rather than a sweet explosion of red berries.
What saves this perfume for me, though, is the patchouli, which starts to come to play as the drydown happens. I think it calms the red berries down a little bit and gives them a more powdery and fresh quality, which makes the fragrance more “grown up” and less “teeny bopper.”
I find myself enjoying the fragrance most when I’ve been wearing it for a couple of hours, and the red berries are almost completely faded. The meringue stands out a lot more with the patchouli, creating a very soft, sweet, and powdery version of Angel. When it comes to this point, though, it becomes more of a “skinscent,” which means the sillage is almost completely nonexistent. This is the only Mugler perfume I’ve tried where I honestly think I can spray it on liberally without it smelling too heavy.
I don’t think this smells bad at all, but I’m not “wowed” by it either. To me, this is a pretty underwhelming addition to the Thierry Mugler fragrance line. It’s not very original or unique. It IS, however, a very pleasant and wearable version of Angel that shouldn’t offend anyone’s noses.

I usually don’t like saccharine patchouli scents but this one literally sparkles, like sweet champagne. It’s sexy and more adult, not too girlish like LVEB. It’s one of my sweetest gourmands but I love it and keep coming back to it!

You know when in the middle of summer you’re suddenly hit with a rapid rainstorm and the aftermath smells a bit chalky? There’s a dusty, powder-sugary quality to this alongside something mentholated and a very realistic red currant. The overall effect is clean, yet novel. It just smells juicy, a little weird, and a bit powdery in a badass way, like wearing vintage garments and sucking on a popsicle in an old library. I even get a hint of Dior Feve Delicieuse. Perhaps it’s the shared component of patchouli, but it leans more toward tonka on the drydown. I keep sniffing my wrist trying to understand it better, but it might be better to leave it be. It’s like someone who’s always sunny and happy but has a steely side to them that entices you to learn more…

Meringues! I love meringues! How have I not tried this sooner? I’m getting a patchouli and classic Angel smell, but it’s like it’s wrapped up inside a cloud of meringue cookie. All powdery and sugary and yum! I think I love it.
About an hour in there is a laundry note that I don’t mind at all. I like the contrast of clean/sugar/patchouli.
Angel is my first perfume love and every time I smell a new Mugler I’m reminded why I was drawn to his blending style.

I love the original Angel. In fact, I am a proud Angel addict so I wanted to branch out. I blind bought Angel Eau Sucree with zero expectations (as any Mugler fan knows to do). The first spray is super tart red berries. In my mind, I was thinking “well, this is nice, but I already have a few fruity perfumes.” I do get a hint of menthol but what I think it actually is, is the tart berries interacting with either skin or with one of the perfume notes.
The berry sorbet phase (closer to actual tart cran/raspberries sprinkled with just the slight bit of sugar) lasts about 20 minutes on my skin. I am slightly re-writing this review because I had applied the original Angel earlier in the day and I think that affected how I viewed Eau Sucree. This sorbet phase lasts longer than I thought but it is actually quite lovely and crisp without falling into the “fresh” category.
I will say this for Thierry Mugler; he has some of the most hyper-realistic notes in modern perfumery for perfumes that are not soliflores.
As the berries break up and the creamy meringue rises to the top, you can clearly smell each distinct phase. This is a blind buy that was 100% successful.
Eau Sucree does become a quasi-gourmand but more true oriental vanilla at the end for me. This perfume starts out on a cool note and gradually progresses to warm. It never gets hot like the original Angel nor is it a patchouli heavy perfume. Again, I love the original in all it’s wonderfully gauche glory and I revel in it, but a new take is good, too. This is more of a cousin to the original than a sibling, Like looking for a family resemblance, if you squeeze your eyes up real tight, you can just barely make out some Angel DNA but not enough to be immediately recognized.
While no Mugler fragrance is a “safe” blind buy, if you know you like red, fruity scents, like LPRN Couture, you might want to try Eau Sucree.
EDITED TO ADD: LPRN is more Guerlain in that it has noticeable powdery notes compared to Eau Sucree. Eau Sucree is appropriate for almost any day/time/event. I can’t wait to try the 2017 version.
EDIT: Does anyone else get a “creamscicle” sort of vibe in the drydown? Yum!

This is nice. It is sweet but not sickly, and after it settles it vaguely reminds me of Angel.
I am really unsure why so many reviews mention mint when there is none of it. I was somewhat hoping for some mint, but I do not detect any, at any point. Instead, it opens with tart but sugary berries…imagine a bowl of frozen red berries defrosting, dusted with some icing sugar.
It is pleasant, happy, and while someone said it should be sold in a red star bottle I would say frosty pink would be more suitable, in my opinion.
Longevity and sillage are moderate. Overall a happy buy and great for spring and summer.

The first thing I detect is a gush of almost minty berries. Succulent and addictive, they give way to a creamy, sweet raiment that I could wear all day. Somehow is sweet without being headache inducing. A favorite.

This is divine! The original Angel is not for me; the patch in it smells so much like toothpaste to my nose, and while I don’t dislike it per se, I’m not going to fork over money for it. However, I have been eyeballing the Eau Sucrees, and when an opportunity came up to get this in a swap for something I wasn’t loving, I took it, and I’m so glad I did! The patch is still definitely there and still menthol-like, but much less so, so that it feels perfectly cool and wintery alongside sugary, vibrant berries… the result seems to me like the concept of effervescence, but bottled and wearable! Sweet, of course, but never sticky. Just don’t go spritz-crazy; it’s not the monster that the original is, but this isn’t a wallflower by any means either. Bottom line? Delicious <3

  22. :

    3 out of 5

I was quite attracted by the menthol others describe, it made it sound interesting.
I didn’t smell any. What I do smell upon opening the box is redcurrant. Spraying it begets more of the same. The currant is super strong, there’s a sweet base and very tiny patchouli. Imagine a very small pavlova heaped with a huge pile of redcurrants and a couple of patchouli leaves to decorate.
Colour and fabric impression is a dark dusky red silk taffeta evening dress worn to a fancy party in a big stately home and that dress rustling as the wearer sneaks into the dark, misty night for a secret rendezvous.
It’s Angel, but not. It’s a red version. This should have been packaged in a red star instead.

This was a complete blind buy online, and when i received it and immediately sprayed it, i couldn’t get to the sink fast enough to wash it off. It smelled like pure menthol. Cough drops and menthol, it was like wearing strong cough syrup. I was disappointed, and set the bottle aside with plans to give it away. After reading the reviews about how gourmand this fragrance was, i decided to give it one more try and do my best to decipher through the overwhelming menthol. I sprayed, and there it was. That dreaded menthol that almost knocked me over the first time.
Again, my first thought was “Kaelan, wash this junk off of you’re arm, it’s gross.” But no, this time i was going to suffer through and try and smell what everyone else was smelling. 5 minutes later, i smelled my wrist and nothing had changed. Another 20 minutes passed, and i sniffed my wrist one more time. It was gone. That menthol was gone and it developed into a beautiful, creamy vanilla-patchouli swirl. I was amazed. How could something that started so terribly, transform into something so beautiful?
It was as if my body was performing magic. The next day, i went out, doused myself in this.. gagged at the initial menthol blast, but this time, it took only about 10 minutes for it to go away and all day long i had folks coming up and asking, “What are you wearing?” I quite enjoy this, although it could never be in my favorites because of that initial blast. It’s terrible, but it thankfully transforms into something great. I call this perfume my little caterpillar, it starts out slimy and gross, but turns into something beautiful and amazing.

    This one surprised me.
It started off with a blast of eucalyptus lozenge that took about two hours to dissipate. Then came sour red berries, something like redcurrant fresh off the bush, and eventually, after two more hours had passed, this fluffy gourmand was left. The last stage reminded me a lot of some perfume I couldn’t place but I know that I love, so I kept sniffing it as I let my eyes wander over my “love” list… my gaze stopped at Kenzo Flower L’Elixir and Lancome Tresor Lumineuse, two fragrances that are very similar, and I knew instantly that those were the ones I was reminded of.
They say you either love or hate the original Angel, I felt very alone in thinking that it was “only” okay when I first smelled it but it has really grown on me. Angel Eau Sucree is decidedly different, and I already have Kenzo Flower L’Elixir in my collection, so I think I’ll stick to my mini of the original.

Love this!!! A combination of cotton candy, berries, lemon meringue pie and patchouli, one of Angel’s soft-spoken and shy family members

  26. :

    5 out of 5

I am one of those people who have worn Angel from the time it debuted, I remember loving it from the first time I smelled it, until a reformulation made it smell so masculine and sharp… And I have never worn it again…
I have now found another Angel I like; Angel Eau Sucree is pretty and sharp, I like it enough to own it, but it hasn’t brought me to my knees as the original did back in its day.
Eau Sucree is tangy and sugary dirty patchouli, it smells like those sour jelly candies taste (tangfastic anyone?). Not as potent as the original, but I think I prefer the edt or Innocent any day over this.
I can see Eau Sucree appeal to a wider audience than Angel, it seems companies are trying to create flankers to suit all tastes!

  27. :

    3 out of 5

Really interesting and lovely. First spray is Angel all the way–dirty patchouli and cotton candy. After that settles, the berries come out and this is so similar to Innocent, with added lemon. I have long wished Innocent had better lasting power and sillage, and this Angel Eau Sucree fulfills that wish. After a short while, maybe 30 minutes, more and more lemon comes to the forefront and it is a sugary lemon pie. As it dries down the patchouli and vanilla come out more and more, and then it begins to resemble Eau de Shalimar’s drydown, minus the flowers. No more Angel Innocent at this point!
I am really enjoying the drydown…lemon-vanilla over patchouli, very powdery and cozy. What a fun perfume–I won’t hesitate to wear this in warm weather but it’s still pretty strong.

    Guilty Pleasure!
I almost feel that this flanker is too young for me. Soooo sweet that it nearly borders on the ridiculous. And yet, I find myself craving it and wishing I would have bought 2 bottles.
Sucree 2014 is bold, dare I say, even more so than Angel herself. Today’s Angel has been tamed from her original self yet Sucree seems to have taken her inspiration from circa 1992 Angel.
Bright, sweet berries and sticky vanilla cream. A monstrous dose of patchouli.
There is also something fizzy and effervescent. Happy and uplifting. Tangy and bubbly. I wonder if it’s this trick that makes Sucree acceptable to those who don’t like Angel. I happen to adore Angel but there really is something special and unique about Sucree 2014.

  29. :

I’m getting the teeny tiniest slither of the original Angel here, it’s not around too long though before the tart berries hit you. Add some creamy vanilla to the mix with a big blob of icing sugar to finish. Yum!
This lasts all day on me, and the bottle is lovely.

Smells absolutely delicious and has a great presence. I became very nearly intoxicated when I first smelled it and practically forced my wonderfully scented forearm upon the people who were around me at the time. It has great staying power like a true Angel fragrance. The bottle is gorgeous and looks great on my dresser.

Delightful, Sweet and Fruity like a delicious berry dessert. Its smells like candied berries!! I absolutely love this Angel 2014 flanker. Its longevity is amazing! The compliments are impressive.

  32. :

    4 out of 5

So to me, Eau Sucree is almost straight up vanilla. A buttery, creamy delicious vanilla, don’t get me wrong. Like a creme brule, frosted with sugar.
There is a tart yet sweet berry scent at the beginning which lightens the whole fragrance, although it doesn’t seem to last that long.
It does smell like christmas, a child’s christmas, the smell of sweets and new toy packaging.
However the vanilla in it very much reminds me of Britney Spears fantasy. Both smell good, there’s no doubt a smell like a freshly powdered cake! However I just don’t seem to be able to get wild for vanilla scents, they are perfectly good, great even, but I just can’t get too excited about them.
I still have the guts of my sample left so I shall continue to endeavour with this scent, to see if my opinion changes 🙂
Also Note: Worth mentioning that as soon as i spritzed two little sprays behind my ears i started to sneeze, generally a sign of a strong fragrance on me.

Love that smell too, man! sweet with the angel remembrance, meringue note is to give water in the mouth! Sugar explosion on the skin but is very sexy and cozy. Impossible not to love! Fixed fine and delicious trail in the air! I want to have the 2015 edition !!!

  34. :

I like this so much on the wife. I like her without it, but this juice is the cherry on the pie.

  35. :

    3 out of 5

Mmmm this one is a lovely dessert, but as with the original Angel there CAN be TOO MUCH of a good thing. Go easy on this one as it’s so sweet it can be cloying if too much is sprayed!
On me I get the sweet vanilla meringue as the main accord throughout, almost a hint of lemony but I think that’s the tartness of the red berry coming through. This is ALL sweet vanilla for the most part. The patch is very faint, almost nonexistent and just adds a fullness to the drydown. It is really only a faint cousin of the original Angel and non-Angel lovers could find this one works quite well on them!
I don’t know how it compares to the 2015 version as I’ve not sniffed them side by side, but this one is a sure winner if you like gourmand scents. 1-2 sprays lasts 6 hours easily with great sillage. Plus, the box and bottle are adorable.

  36. :

    3 out of 5

If I had smelt this blind, I would have had no idea of its link with ‘Angel’- it is that much of a departure from the original and doesn’t include the trademark “Angelness” (that accord of coumarin, patchouli, lily-of-the-valley, and musk) found in the original and many of the other flankers. That being said, this is a glorious composition if you’re into the “pink gourmands”- because that’s what “color” this evokes for me: juicy red berries and vanilla’d cream confection over a base dominated by sensual musk. I sense only delicate touches of patchouli, oud, and amber. So divine! I would have slated this as a winter daytime scent (like Viva La Juicy, Vince Camuto, Cashmere Mist), but honestly I’m wearing it now in summer and am enjoying the heaviness despite- it’s really lovely! Definitely grab a bottle if you see one.

  37. :

Hmmmm…. It reminds me of raspberry soda. I gets hints of vanilla but so far this is all I’m getting from this scent.

I really love this and wanted it, but the type of smell reminds me of hanae mori, just a lot better. Sweet without being musky/ heavy. I have a bottle of hanae mori and rarely wear it because of how strong it is

  39. :

    4 out of 5

It really smells like herbs. I don’t find it unpleasant, just weird and definitely not sexy. It’s fresh and a good choice for hot days though. The sillage and longevity are not impressive.

  40. :

    5 out of 5

It’s very sugary and more like blue berries than red to me.. I think maybe that’s the patchouli, I just see it as a ‘blue’ scent. I also detect a hint of violet even though that’s not listed here.

  41. :

i’ve got the 2014 version on one arm and the 2015 version on the other. while not identical, they’re close enough.
one’s a little creamier and the other’s more berry.
but both are too raspberry-bitter for me. all berries, all the time. no thanks, i’ll stick with regular Angel!

This is the perfect fragrance to spray on your pillows and sheets before going to bed. It’s at the same time clean, fresh, sugary, creamy and delicious! It’s like sleeping with the angels!

This perfume has been flirting with me since it’s release in 2014. Every time I went to the mall, I would stop by the perfume counter and spray this on. Initially, I thought the perfume was simple for Thierry Mugler, but never boring. Over a year has passed and I’m so thankful to find the 2014 flanker at my local Sephora. A bit pricey but for a Limited Edition and being a Mugler fan, I thought why not make the splurge?
Angel Eau Sucree 2014 flanker is a simple yet beautiful gourmand perfume. Sweet Frosted Berries soaked in Cream w/ a soft minty Patchouli/Vanilla drydown. Don’t let the EDT fool you, this lasted well over 15hrs on me 🙂 It’s really versatile, can’t imagine offending anyone with this perfume. The original Angel was something to admire but I could never wear it due to the strong Patchouli note. Eau Sucree is just the right amount of Angel for me 🙂 It’s a dessert lover’s dream~

Magdalena23, you are SOOOO GENEROUS!!! My darling friend, I love you! I just had to get that out of the way 😉 Just now, the courier delivered the most amazing gift box, all the way from beautiful Greece. Samples, beautiful smellies, photos of a blonde beauty in the sun on the bluest oceans, chocolates, pistachio nuts and treats, all things good and beautiful….just like this perfume. At first blast, I smell mint, which isn’t listed, then a waft of Angel (the original formula), followed by a sugary sweet blast, light meringue, absolutely perfect, a light and delicious treat to wear. Summery sugar beauty, that’s what this is to me!

I probably shouldn’t like this because I’m not a particular fan of gourmands, warm fragrances, or “fruitchoulis,” but this opens with a zesty freshness from the tart berries and patchouli, lending it a raspberry-lemon zest that isn’t overly sharp, as the meringue note soon smooths it out. The dry-down, while gourmand and sweet, is transparent enough to remain fresh and airy so it never feels suffocating, and the intitial tartness lingers on clothes better than on skin. This is much more wearable to me than the original Angel- if Angel is the cigarette-smoking teen in acid-wash jeggings and metallic eyeshadow, this is her clean-cut cousin who looks sweet on the outside but is capable of zinging you with a sarcastic one-liner–all in good fun, of course, all in good fun.
    UPDATE:
When I first tried this I was pretty new to gourmands and I couldn’t understand why anyone liked the original Angel. Eventually, though, I discovered the magic of the original, and fell out of love with this one. The patchouli in this is scratchier and more sour than I thought at first- did I just not notice it then, or did the scent macerate or something? I really get what people who say this has a sour, herbal, medicinal edge are talking about now. The patch in the original, while undeniably strong, is not raspy like that. It’s also somehow heavier (but definitely not stronger, sillage-wise) than the bright, juicy, icy topnotes of the original- I don’t really see this being wearable in hot weather. It’s still good and I wear it from time to time, but my love of the real thing took some of the shine off this one.

Angel was my signature for many years until one day it started to repulse me and I haven’t been able to wear it since. Lately I started looking at other versions of Angel to see if I could find what I used to love. I swore Angel Sucree would be a love. The opening was berries and sharp guayabas (guava) to me. Maybe meringue smells like guayabas. No, I know they don’t, I just couldn’t believe I didn’t smell meringue. Either way, that opening made Sucree an instant dislike for me. The dry down was straight up buttery vanilla, which was nice but with poor projection. It was nothing like its big sister in sillage and longevity. The dry-down smelled very much like Outremer’s Vanilla which at $22 for 3.4 oz is a longevity and sillage beast.

I just recieved mine, it is a likeable scent but it does not wow me , since it got rave reviews and the reason is its so so much like my flowerbomb and its a wanna be weaker form…this insults my flowerbomb ! I know it has that touch of angel in their but still its trying too hard to be a copy of fb on the drydown. It is a good scent but def not bottle worthy or a must have. No ,no no.

I’m in love with you, heavenly blue angel, I’m addicted to you!
I first sprayed it last summer, since I can’t get it out of my head, and I was sooo happy, when I got it for Christmas.
It’s an amazing composition: rich, creamy, gourmand scent, great balance between the meringue and berries, a bit sour, tart because of the fruity note and sweet at the same time.
The drydown is also very nice, there is the original angel scent in it, the sweet-fruity notes blended with patchouli. I think patchouli is the angel’s typical trademark, I can detect and recognize with eyes closed!:)
In my opinion Sucrée is one of the best angel flankers, not just a simple sweet scent, like Si or Manifesto or etc.
They are matching the current trend, one-sided sweet, linear perfumes, nothing exciting for me.
But this sparkling star is different, beautifully structured and individual fragrance.
The bottle is very nice, like a dipped in sugar gem. I wish it wasn’t just a limited edition, I need this treasure forever!

Mmmmmm… I am in LOVE! This has to be the most delicious gourmand I have ever tried. So glad I got to buy this, since it’s a limited edition (why, oh WHY?).
This is a REALLY sweet creamy scent. It reminds me a lot of Lancome’s “La Vie Est Belle”: they are both deliciously sweet and quite heavy, however there’s a difference here.
First of all, this one has the creamy meringue and the sweet vanilla, but it also has a juicy side from the red berries that “La Vie Est Belle” doesn’t have (that one is all about the praliné to me), so there’s a twist in this version of “Angel” that makes it both creamy and juicy at the same time. The fragance stays pretty linear, so it’s not like the original “Angel” that, at least on my skin, changes quite a lot from the opening to the drydown, but boy, what a delicious linear scent this one is.
I must say, this one doesn’t smell very similar to the original “Angel”, but there’s something in it that tells you this is a Mugler, and I
