Description
For the summer season of 2014, Cacharel launches a new collection of flankers called Summer Splash containing three “L’Eau” versions of the popular fragrances Noa from 1998, Amor Amor from 2003 and Catch… Me from 2012. Noa L’Eau, Amor Amor L’Eau and Catch…Me L’Eau are inspired by fresh ocean breeze, fragrant summer flowers, fresh picked red berries, cocktails and the scent of sun-kissed skin.
Amor Amor L’Eau is described as a fresh and delicious citrusy – fruity – ambery scent. It opens with sparkling and sweet accords of coca cola and grapefruit leading to the floral heart of delicate jasmine and rose and the base of vanilla, amber and musk.
The fragrances are available in turquoise – pink bottles in quantities of 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

I bought this for the coke note and I honestly don’t really get much of it. This is a sweet juicy citrus burst followed by jasmine and creamy vanilla, it is a little musky and I hope I catch a little more of the amber as this settles. The silage is pretty close to the skin and I can’t stop bringing my nose down to my arm to sniff. L’eau just smells amazing. This is a really pretty citrus-white floral, perfect for hot summer days when so many other jasmine fragrances can turn cloying in heat. UPDATE: the musky amber dry down is to die for! This is really a unique and wonderful scent, the longevity is pretty good too. the silage is easily boosted by spraying a bit more then I usually do.

i just wish this lasted. on me me i get about an hour tops & its gone without even a trace of it left on me. i like the fragrance a lot but lasting power is enough to make me not repurchase.

Tried it today and WOW. Unexpected! I don`t really like the original one, it has nothing interesting in it, this one is totally different though, the coca-cola note is striking, although in the beginning I was sniffin away and couldn`t make out what it it that`s so different in this one..On the drydown it becomes a sparkly floral-musky scent, definitely recommend for someone in their 20s, they will truly enjoy it, although probably anyone would who is young at heart or loves coca-cola! 🙂

It’s a nice scent. The cola is the strongest, and citrus and vanilla follow it from far behind for me. It’s a very light perfume on my nose. I think it’s suitable for summer and perhaps late spring, you wouldn’t be able to sense it in the cold of winter.

I have never smelled the original Amor Amor but this is a very nice scent for summer. The Coca-Cola reads well enough to my nose but it didn’t immediately come to my SO’s mind when I made him sniff my wrist (anyone else do this?). To me it is not overly vanillic, but I can definitely sense all the components – rose, musk, jasmine, amber… a fresh choice for the coming summer for sure.

The cola note makes this scent so interesting. It also seems to smell like sunshine. Perfect summer scent. Love it.

I really like this, especially because I’m a huge fan of coca-cola(one of my favorite soda pops ever!) This reminds of a trip to a water park resort or going for a swim in pool and having a cold vanilla coke with a squeeze of fresh lemon, while sitting and lounging by the water you can catch a lovely and soft whiff of florals and taking sips of you’re yummy beverage. Great summer scent and very pleasant and easy to like.

love the Coca-Cola in this – very true and refreshing and original summer scent

I love, love (no pun amor amor!) this perfume! I wanted a soda scent since I am Pepsi Coke girl! That’s right, I love them both equally…who knew!? I love that this scent has citrus in it too since that is my signature accord. I find this scent is one you have to smell a few times to appreciate it. Like a movie that starts off questionable, then gets interesting and finishes with an amazing climax! To me this scent is nostalgic-it reminds me of the Root Beer and Cola Gummies in the Barrels of bulk food back when Giant Food had an awesome selection of candies you could scoop among other snacks and goodies! Ahhh the good old days, spritz this on when you wanna remember that Sweet Soda goodness! Better yet, hit up Amazon for some Cola Gummies and really go back while you douse yourself in Amor Amor L’eau!!!

I blind bought this based on the notes and reviews. I thought I would love it as I do love many of the Cacharel fragrances. But I don’t. It’s okay. Nothing horrible or offensive. On me, it opens with a strong fizzy citrus smell-no coca cola whatsoever. Within 30 minutes it fades to a very soft, pleasant floral-vanilla scent. Pretty but very much a skin scent. I like the dry down but its all gone an hour later. I think this is going back. I like my perfume to speak a little louder.

I get a fleeting impression of coke in the opening and although it fades, every now and then when I catch the scent on my neck, I recognise it. It settles into a surprisingly aquatic scent on me with a hint of comforting sweetness that faintly reminds me of drinking lemonade coke on the beach. Amor Amor L’Eau is definitely designed for the younger generation, a cheerful and lively scent, sparkling and youthful. Longevity is okay, but it stays close to the skin.

Beverage note is quite prominent and that makes this fragrance quite interesting. Unfortunately, amber is too warm for me in summer, I couldn’t wear it in heat.

I bought this perfume when I went to France with my school. when I found it I got so excited since it is not available in Canada yet as far as I know. I sprayed it once and fell in love with it. so glad I purchased it. It is a great scent for all ages.
arny050359 – :
It totally smells like Coca Cola on me, thank goodness I like the drink much. Nothing special, but it’s light and cheerful – alright for the summer.

Boooooooring.
Starts off with really juicy, bitter, grapefruity scent – very intense and quite realistic. Nice, if you like such things. After a few minutes there is a moment sweet fizzy cola in the background. The two scents fresh grapefruit and very sweet but very tiny amount of coke mix well together, and if the scent stayed like this could be really pleasant.
But no. After 15-20 minutes we have sweet[ but not gourmant type ], expensive, lemony soap. It gets more soapy, but doesn’t evolve much. Yuck.
Staying power is decent – 6 hours +

Very citrusy and sweet : as a soda ! Nice, sunny, fruity : good idea for young women. But not extraordinary.
Correct lasting power.

This is lovely! I really like it!! It is sweet, in a fizzy way, I don’t find it citrusy, there are warm notes pretty much from the first spray..the coca cola vibe is there, it isn’t obvious, but I detect it, in a subtle way..on the other hand I get little grapefruit…
I wasn’t fond of Amor Amor, it found it a bit linear, but that version is more complex. Fresher, more summery…the base is warmer , softer..it isn’t a real strong scent, but longevity is quite good, just a very pleasant different version of a very well liked perfume!!!
marihhha – :
I completely agree with the reviewer below me. This perfume a is light, fresh and pretty, citrus/floral/aquatic version of Amor Amor. I couldn’t really detect any Coco-Cola in it but still found it to be very refreshing (almost mouth-watering) and perfect for summer. Very pleasant, but not dissimilar to other summer scents on the market.
N.B. I picked up a tester for this in my local Superdrug, in spite of the fact that they don’t actually sell Amor Amor L’Eau in this particular branch (instead, they had bottles of Amor Amor In A Flash, but no tester for that one…) and was amused/shocked that the sales assistant was clearly unfamiliar with the word ‘L’Eau’ and had to spell it out to me as she didn’t know how to pronounce it!

I was pretty excited about that cola scent in this perfume but I can’t hardly smell it… anywho it is a nice scent I can deffo smell grapefriut and some flowers…it does smell a bit like Amor Amor the original one but it’s much lighter

I too get prominent grapefruit and coca cola right from the beginning in Cacharel Amor Amor L’Eau. The grapefruit here is not really juicy or green bitter like its peel, but more like grapefruit flavour. But at the same time, it’s not overly sugary or harsh. It’s actually quite pleasant and effervescent, with coca cola flavour bringing a sort of fizzy touch.
The entry of jasmine is also relatively smooth. It doesn’t punch the nose or turn into bubble gum or candy like. The drydown, while being pleasant, is mainly a citrus + jasmine + musk combination that is not unfamiliar among recent releases.
The sillage is relatively close, and the longevity is at least 8 hours. Amor Amor L’Eau is a cheerful little number for warmer seasons. It doesn’t really stand out among others in the fruity-floral category, but it’s really not bad at all. If you just want a simple and playful fragrance to have some fun in a sunny afternoon, considering the price, Amor Amor L’Eau is not a bad choice.
excumbacess – :
I quite like the idea of mixing coca cola with vanilla, citrus and white florals as makes quite a unique scent. As another reviewer said the coca cola notes in this disappear within a couple of minutes! This one has slightly better longevity than the new noa fragrance of the collection but this still has very poor sillage/longevity. I love the aqua blue and fuschia colour combinations of the bottles.

I just tested this today. The notes and adorable bottle caught my attention as I was looking for a new summer fragrance. Upon first spritz, I get a lot of grapefruit mixed with coca cola which was really promising. Unfortunately that sweet and lovely cola dissipated within few minutes. Dry down is pretty much a lot of grapefruit, mixed with jasmine and musk. I don’t get vanilla out of this at all. On my skin it’s sour and dry, musky and bit powdery. I was hoping for something more fresh, and little bit more sweet.. well, not for me. Lasting power is decent for an EdT, sillage is soft/moderate.

Amor Amor l’eau is already available in France at Sephora, what a big surprise since the perfume profile appeared here last week ! The bottle is oh so beautiful, a sheer turquoise with fuschia writings, I could buy it only for the colors ! Haha The smell is a lot about grapefruit, that I can’t stand… And you can also smell coca cola note. It wasn’t wow for me but if you like grapefruit you may like this one ! It is fresh and great for summer I think (and the bottle color Oh my!)
