This has been a favourite for some time. Opens up in a slightly citrusy crispiness. Shortly after changes to a very sensual oily (!) apricot. I am surprised there aren’t oily notes to it, it really does smell like there is more body to it. The dry-down is soft and sweet fruity/floral/vanilla. Really love this little number.

A fruity vanilla fragrance. The fruit smells a bit chemical and bitter. Also the vanilla seems to be a bit synthetic. I find this quite un-original. Just another fruity/vanilla which could just as well be a celebrity scent.
I mostly get black currant, orange and vanilla. The rose is a nice addition to all the fruits. In the background there’s some musk, amber and florals.
Sillage is moderate, longevity is about 4-5 hours.

A gorgeous blackcurrant and vanilla combo with added orange notes in the background. It’s a warm scent, slightly spicy with, perhaps, a vaguely detectable note of sweet tobacco. In my opinion, it’s a scent that can be worn all year round. Sweet, but not too sweet, sultry, and definitely sexy. In spring and summer the fruity floral notes come out in force to blend with the blossomy scents in the air and, in winter, the warm spicy orange notes seem to become stronger. It’s a really beautiful perfume, which can be suited to any age. If you love the blackcurrant note in particular, you’ll surely adore this. I wore it to my brother’s wedding in late summer last year. It’s now my main go to.

This was my teenage scent, and for some reason I hopped straight to the Chanel no. 5. But if you think about it, it’s not that weird considering the base and top notes. Cacharel is known for their sweet, sweet and youthful scents, and amor amor makes no difference, For me, it isn’t too teenage-y to this day. It could be worn by a more mature woman too, maybe not for work but for a night out with friends or perhaps for a date. It IS really sweet, but maybe not candy-sweet like Meteorites by Guerlain. I think it is a bomb-proof gift idea for a young, outgoing and feminine woman who doesn’t like too bold perfume. It doesn’t last a super long time on the skin and after the top notes have faded, it’s pretty non-offending.

For a young woman who seeks a love adventure. Or a middle-aged woman who seldom ventures from the couch. Amor Amor smells sweet without smelling cheap. Like an upmarket version of Britney Spears Circus Fantasy. It has some depth. It is way too sweet, but so is a Cherry Mash and those are excellent, so there.
And I smile at the Latin spelling of Amor (whereas I expected the French Amour from Cacharel).
You can depend on Cacharel to release decent quality fragrances, or so I have found.

A little heavy, there’s something strong that reminds me of Anna Sui. If it were softer it would be powdery sweet like Curve Crush.

I have purchased this in the middle of a warm (high 20’s) UK summer. In the air conditioned shop I really liked it and so did my husband who was with me. Now I am wearing it out in the heat it smells different…like sweet tobacco. Reading up on Tonka bean, it must be this as apparently it is found in tobacco to give a better aroma. My tobacco memories come from childhood as my father used to buy loose tobacco, and I had a science teacher who used to get in trouble with the Nuns for smoking cigars in the corridors at school. He especially smelt of sweet tobacco. I still like it but I am going to save my little bottle for the cooler months. Maybe then the Tonka bean will be less dominant and I will pick up the other notes more…it might turn from a strong like to a love for me. I think it is very well blended and a bit different.

Love this fragrance. Blind bought this because the description of the notes are the type of scents I like. It’s not overly sweet on me and the vanilla is very soft. A lot of the reviews claim it’s a fragrance for young women, whatever that’s supposed to mean. I’m definitely not a young woman and think you can wear whatever you like. I loved anais anais and loulou when they were introduced and happy to add another scent from cacharel.

When I was young, there was a perfume that I smelt on my art teacher. She was a funny and inspiring woman who encouraged each of us to dream of being an artist. When she would bend to look at my painting, I would smell this scent that captured her sunny and airy spirit. I always wondered what it was- and today I know! I just got a 100 ml bottle at a really good price. I sprayed it on the inside of my elbow ( I have a sensitive nose and having read all of the reviews here, I thought it best to spritz as little as possible)
And I agree! Less is more. It can be a little cloying if I am a little heavy handed. Now moving on to the smell- it is sweet, spicy, musky and tart. I am not sure if it can be type-casted as belonging to a specific age group. It is smoky and sexy. The vanilla is not heavy and overly sweet. It is around 30 degrees here and after smelling it in this temperature, I feel this would do much better in cooler weather. I love my new purchase but as I am more of a floral lover, it might take awhile for me to empty my bottle.

This smell always reminds me of my great-grandmother, who would have turned 91 this year. My great-grandfather has bought her many bottles of Amor Amor. They were together for 63 years when she passed away, and when we cleaned up her cupboards we found Amor Amor on her vanity and in her drawers. I have never worn it myself and never will, because every time I see one of those red bottles I imagine her sitting in her leather sofa next to the (far too hot) stove in the living room.

    BEST SCENT EVER.
Just perfection! proud to call it my signature smell.
so girly, sweet and classy at the same time, it maybe sounds weird but the vibe of Amor Amor reminds me of a romantic summernight in Neverland. Dreamy & so addictive!
also it stays on for a long time! only love for this gem <3

Amor Amor is very pretty but I also find it to be very cloying even suffocating.

I smelled it in the gym today on someone and was absolutely positive that it was Versace Woman. i asked the girl what she was wearing and it was Amor Amor. It’s identical to the Versace, has something that I smell in pretty much all Versace I”ve ever smelled. I think it’s this vanilla, synthetic and strong.

What a beautiful perfume. I love it. I have been wearing it on and off for a few days now to see how I really felt about it since I received it from s.c.e.n.t.b.o.x. When I first spray it, it is full of citrus and vanilla with a hint of musk. Once it dries down, it becomes full of vanilla and berries. Reminds me of blackberry or blueberry jam but not in an overpowering cloying sense. Its very subtle on me and the only downside is by the end of my work day, it becomes so faint that I have to smell my wrists for a few minutes to really capture the scent. I thought I may have been used to the scent and was missing it but when I got home from work the last time I wore it my boyfriend asked me if I went to work without perfume on.
Edited 5/3/18- Been wearing it on and off for a few weeks and finally have the number of sprays just right where it will last me all day. I have grown to love this perfume so much I ordered a FB.

I bought back at the time a 30ml bottle of this.
At first I smelt it and loved it, but after the purchase, it was just too sweet for me.

Interesting at first but becomes a standard fruity-chouli. Too sweet, but not the worst.

Amor Amor is now one of my favorites.
I just got this scent yesterday and it is all sticky fruit. I love it. Incredibly sweet. Very strong for an eau de toilette. Smells like black Current jam on me. Amor Amor might just very well become my signature scent!

This is my signature scent since over 12 years. I have always a bottle at home. It is a light, sexy, everyday perfume for me. I become a lot of compliments when I wear it. I think, it’s a romantic fragrance for 20-30 years old ladys, but I am over it and can’t kiss goodbye to this lovely scent.
    This perfume smells like happiness.
    It is nice and playful.

  21. :

This scent is pretty irresistible. It is sugary but very, very warm, like drinking a tea or a hot chocolate that just warms you up from the inside. The red color of the bottle captures that perfectly.
It is fruity, but not in that summer/ tropical type of way. To me, I could spray half the bottle and still not get *too sweet*. It has a thickness to it, but it isn’t smokey or exclusively wintery either. There is no aspect of this that isn’t inviting and magnetic. Perhaps the most perfect sweet gourmand.
On another note the teenager association feels a bit arbitrary to me. I obviously see the marketing pointing that way, but this perfume def feels deep and sophisticated enough to appeal to any gourmand lover. In fact, on a 14 year old I might think it comes off as something in the “trying to be a grown up” category.

I don’t agree, that it’s for young girls. Only if they have a mature taste. It’s bright sweet, some juice citruses gives lightness. Almondy kind , same mood a bit as with Prada Infusion D’Ambre, although so much different. Tonka, vanilla are pleasantly sweet, not sticky, not nauseating. Vetiver , amber gives only warmth and nothing else. Vetiver-crispiness may be, not sure. It’s a work of art. Beautiful. With Ropion’s signature in it, but not too sticky and sweet as he does often. Laurent Bryuere lead this fragrant music into the wright direction I think.
Same actually mood as with Gloria by Cacharel too.

I remember smelling Amor Amor during its heyday, 2007-2009, when all the girls wore it. I thought it was heavy and obnoxious, and it felt overly sexy for those waves of innocent looking young girls. As a young adult, I suddenly remembered Amor Amor, and how it radiated sexy. Maybe it’s time to wear it for me now, I thought. It could be the reformulation, could be that I’m ten years older, but Amor Amor smells amazing to me now. The rose elevated with the citrus, and balanced with jasmine smells fun, sexy and inoffensive. I reserve fruity scents for summer days, but the fruit in Amor Amor is pretty well blended and isn’t overwhelming. So I’m thinking spring nights for this one, when I’m going to a dinner, and to the bars after. It’s cheap enough to reapply if I wanted to radiate that sexy.

    Dear Readers.
What can I say about this little red bottle of Amor Amor by Cacharel?, well this little red bottle is a scarlet rascal.
This perfume when sprayed in the air was releasing a fruity coquette rascal and the sweetness is inviting you into her spiced arms to give you a flirty kiss unto your lips, making your face her favorite canvas and creating unique colors of blush reds and making your eyes bright up with mischief !. Now my experience of Amor amor on my skin.
the perfume lasted a good 4 hours, and the drydown was all vanilla spiced kisses.
This perfume of Amor Amor possesses the Cacharel fine genes but isn’t like her other sister’s of the Cacharel family in character, unlike Anais Anais who is an elegant young lady who is like the swan princess in romantic poetry and myth or her other sister, the beautiful ancient guardian spirit of nature like Eden.
Amor amor, fits a woman who is jovial , light hearted, free spirited, stylish and has a sweet rascal sense to her that will keep you guessing and laughing in her own romantic comedy of life.
If this description fits you or someone you know, then Amor Amor is the perfume to get or be gifted to a special someone who enjoys sweet light romance and spicy adventures or just a big flirt.
Bravo The House of Cacharel !

Not light and not heavy at the same time combination of citrusy/apricot notes with flowers. I like it. Only sometimes it sounds a little bit mascuiline.

I wore this perfume so much throughout my teenage years. Something about that “soft goth” bottle and smell really spoke to me. Fruity but with a depth that is a teeny bit dark and mysterious.
A new bottle of this arrived in the mail today from a swap and I couldn’t wait to spritz myself with it. Upon first sniff, I got a little misty eyed. So much nostalgia tied up in this scent.
If I divorce myself from that nostalgia, I still think it’s a scent that stands up. Now that I’m in my thirties I don’t find it too sweet or juvenile. It’s actually surprisingly sophisticated as far as fruity florals go. I’m also someone who typically dislikes citrus-heavy fragrances but this has a woody edge and amber warmth that really rounds out this scent and gives it heft.
    I’m pleasantly surprised.

I may be the only person who actually think reformulation was best thing could happened for Amor. Perfume i remember from the past was strong, suffocating, headache and really strange (for me, being always in love with LouLou). Almost masculine. Strangely annoying.
Now, the new version has sweet feminine touch, much lighter vibe and truly pretty smell. Like yummy tarte with roses and lemon. I do like IT, not my love hence i prefer sensual and a little bit more erotic smells but using Amor is really pleasure now, ufff. Longevity is not great however and bottle as always not my favorite but ok.

You know how some fragrances become a fabric of someone’s dna? So much so that despite loving this one I can’t wear it because it belongs to someone else. A beautiful, intelligent, russian girl in her early 20s used to wear this fragrance when it first was released. I only knew her fleetingly through work but she kind of left me in awe back then.
I was around that age too, searching for a certain image or ‘look’ to call my own and something about her made me wish I was more like her. I think it was the combination of confidence and kindness that she possessed. And… she carried a bottle of Amor Amor in her bag. It was a real compliment getter. Sweet, floral, spicy but not overly so. Simply beautiful and enjoyable.
Whenever I get a chance I sample some just to remember that certain something it made me feel which now I remember so fondly. I wonder if that girl still wears it!

This is definitely a teen girl perfume, but more than whatever is next to the checkout counter at the lingerie store or whatever is getting passed around by classmates. While it reminds me a lot of Victoria’s Secret scents, this has no grungy musk or sugary blast of candy. It’s cleaner and brighter. Still, to me it’s a very simple fragrance. I only detect rose, grapefruit, and vanilla, but all three seem to be competing for dominance rather than harmonizing. This was the first perfume I ever purchased for myself as a teenager and it kicked off my obsession, but I have to admit I lost interest in this particular one pretty quickly. To be fair and to give context, I am more of a “drugstore oldies” kind of gal these days.

I remember the first time I smelled this perfume I was taken a back. It smelled so heavenly. I love when vanilla is mixed together with soft pretty florals. This perfume is very feminine but I disagree with many I do not think it’s that sweet. Very floral yes.

It is really great. Citrus and sweet and fruity. Very nice.
It’s just , I think it doesn’t stay enough on my skin. But, that’s fine. I will get bigger bottle and keep putting it on my skin.

  32. :

    4 out of 5

I think I’m having blind buyers regret. Its OK but not thrilled, to me its so fruity sweet and almost syrupy it could be a Bath and Body Works scent. I get a lot of very sweet citrus/ berry( current?) In the opening and vanilla and amber that’s all together like a perferme cocktail. I will see how it turns out after the dry down but I may put it up for swap.
I expected something more like Armani Code.
Edit: this is a lot nicer ON the skin that on paper or from the bottle. It gets toned down and more mellow and doesn’t smell masculine. I was kind of ready to write this off but its kind of nice in its own way. More citrus, less berry and a bit hazy if that makes sense. I guess I was too quick with my first review

I never got the chance to try pre-reformulation version of amor amor.mine is a new one and I like it.
A wise man advised me to buy this perfume long ago.back then I wasn’t a perfume junkie.kenzo amour and Hugo boss deep red were my only perfume loves and I just knew that I adore vanilla in fragrances and that I’d like to own a perfume with a nice blend of it with fruits and light flowers.but I didn’t go for amor amor until recently and I believe that if I got to know it back then,I’d chose it as my signature for maybe years! Now,I still feel it’s nice to have it as I find it pleasant, playful and easy to wear but I can’t name it a love.maybe because I feel I’ve already gone through lots of similar perfumes
When I think of a sexy perfume for a young girl, amor amor is one of the first one that comes to my mind.but not that it won’t be appropriate on a +25 lady.it’s warm and sweet and fall is definitely best season for it but it also has bright citrusy-fruity freshness and I believe one can easily wear it year round.it’s for both days and nights.both daily use and dates.both girly outfits and sport styles. it certainly is versatile
I usually dislike blackcurrant and cassis but here, they blend pretty well with juicy citruses and creamy vanilla.florals stay sweet and delicate.I sometimes feel like I can find out traces of rose in it but I won’t call it a rosey scent by any means
It lasts about 5,6 hours on me, you’re gonna be noticed in first hours of application but after that it goes on rather soft.
I agree that it has similarities with oriflame love potion but they’re not dupes.love potion is waaay spicier, more grown up and has some darker vibes thanks to it’s coffee and cacao but they both have this creamy orangey-berry vanilla in commom
I love amor amor bottles and that’s why I’ve decided to collect all it’s flankers.right now I have also amor amor in a flash which I like even more
I won’t repurchase but it’s recommendable specially if you want one perfume for various occasions.something cool, warm and inviting, delightful and young.most people are going to love it on you

    Love this !!!
Is so warm feminine slightly sweet and a bit citrus just perfect , is so easy to wear , for me is a daily scent but perhaps more sprays and it could be for going out.
The longevity in my skin is of 2 or 3 hours so I have the small bottle in my bag when I’m using it

I remember this…reminds me of a candied orange with those dried spices sticking out of it. I had not noticed the rose. I think this is actually best for cool weather. Less is more.

Juicy sweet perfume, black currant adds tartness and citruses balance the sweetness. There is a young vibe in this one, but I do not consider it girly. It’s dynamic, summery and joyful. I like it a lot and use it all year round when I need to lift my mood.
Lasts long enough (6+ hours) on my skin, good projection. I will never grow tired of Amor Amor.

Ever so feminine, lasts for hours – a fantastically priced classic.

I blind bought this after reading that it is similar to my old signature scent from high school (Forever Sunshine) which has been discontinued, and I will say it’s a fairly decent replacement, but certainly not spot on. For about a minute after this is sprayed it smells like bad breath. Not a very pleasant introduction. But then it settles down into a somewhat creamy citrus smell similar to that of FS, although it’s not quite as bright and settles much closer to the skin imo. Overall I do like this and will probably continue wearing it. Just the first minute or so trying to work through the bad breath smell is a turn off.

Uplifting spring perfume. Fruit-flower style, not sweetened. Even in the beginning there is a slightly acidic note – it is probably a grapefruit – then the lily and black currant make a nice note and then the rest.
The whole composition is positive. Nice, even some insignificant, has something in itself. On my skin average durability, and even a little weak, so not interested in the bottle.

Lately I feel drawn to citrus frags more so than usually (even though I always love citrus frags), but this is for me stunningly lovely, and I strangely enjoy it way more now in the summertime than I did in the winter. It’s like being in citrus heaven. Quite strong, definitely for leisure time for me. But it is so lush, I cannot help but love it, even though it’s supposedly fitting for teenagers. Well, I am young at heart!
I love to spray my frags on the underside of my hair on the back of my neck, because whenever my hair moves, it sends waves of the scents to my nose, and each time it does it, it feels like I experience the scent anew. When I get the Amor Amor whiff, I sigh with delight. A keeper for sure.

This is such a cute and teenage perfume. A pretty safe gift for a young person, my nose detects blackcurrant candy with backing of a smooth and fluffy vanilla. I’d personally wear during the winter, as for me, it falls into my personal category of ‘comfort and safe’ perfumes. It’s quite warm. Love it.

Trippy but true: Prompted by TsarinaM’s discovery that Paris Hilton’s Passport Paris is an almost an exact dupe of the original Amor Amor formulation, I decided to find out for myself: Hold on to your pants, folks, it’s all true: Paris Hilton’s Passport Paris really is, eyes closed, very close to the original.
I said close, not exact: there’s a bit of synthetic edge to Passport Paris that reminds me that that unique blend of citrus, rose, musk that was the original Amor Amor was, indeed, very unique. Still, I’m amazed at how truly close Passport Paris is to the original, all things considered (especially the price point: $10.00).
I bought a bottle of Amor Amor last week, hope against hope, to see if the juice had been noticeably reformulated. I can tell you this: the longevity and sillage of this bottle are considerably less potent than I remember. After 4 hours, only a soft whiff of Amor Amor radiated off me, sitting very close to the skin. The notes have definitely shifted towards citrus and berry and the creamy, musky, spicy notes that I recall being so prominent, detectable long before the dry down, now peak out shyly after about an hour, and then, disappear.
On subways, on street corners, in restaurants, at meetings: when I wore Amor Amor, I was noticed, complimented, even followed. It was powerful: like love.
I wonder what Dominque Ropion thinks about this reformulation. As for myself, I am nothing if not loyal. I will wear Amor Amor, in its latest incarnation. I will wear it layered over Passport Paris, to heighten it’s sillage and longevity. And, I will add a musk, a chocolate base, a cocoa base, to replace the softness, the mystique, that no longer defines this juice.

  46. :

    4 out of 5

I too am crying reformulation tears. This had been my signature for 10+ years. Now sadly, it is a shadow of it’s former self. It had a sparkle and juiciness to it that I am having a difficult time finding elsewhere. It was at once voluptuous and enchanting, while being effortless. It reminds of the song The Girl from Ipanema, a youthful beauty who is utterly beguiling, but totally unaware of the effect she is having on those around her. There were times when I would wear this and blush because if the attention I was getting. The cassis opening, and grapefruit effervesce are largely missing now. While the sillage and longevity have plummeted. It was fruity, but with a definite sexiness to it, something that many fruity florals are missing. I recently tried Sergio Nero’s Russian Present Red as the notes are nearly identical, this almost has the same opening but goes heavy on the amber/cedar and lacks the grapefruit. It ends up nice, but that’s it. I am lamentingly searching for a new signature with little luck. It’s strange how a fragrance becomes part of your identity.

  47. :

    5 out of 5

To everyone devastated by the reformulation, I truly empathize! The original was incredible. I have good news though, I have found it’s dupe! Believe it or not Paris Hilton Passport Paris smells almost exact to the original Amor Amor!!! So sad when they kill off a good perfume yet use the same name for something completely different.
I hope this helps!! Passport Paris is the answer, how silly that may sound.
    God bless you!!!

Reformulation tears and a little story to follow. Usually, I try not to let reviews get to me when speaking of a reformulation because I will probably not be able to experience that or will spend more than I want to get it. 2002 Dior Addict and the original Vanilla Oil from the Body Shop for example.
It was the first and only date with a guy I was trying to be interested in. I even can’t remember why. We were looking through menus when the server comes up and says, “What is that beautiful smell?” I told him it was me and he said it smelled like rich chocolate. He was very attentive to me and that was the first time I had alcohol in a restaurant cause I was underage. It was a memorable night. But what still lingers is the scent of Amor Amor. I could easily smell it from under my sweater and it seemed to last all night long.
I bought my first one in 2004 and it smelled to me like floral chocolates with berries and it was so warm. Damn, I miss it. I missed it so much that I repurchased it late last year after reading all the reviews hoping that the talk of reformulation was wrong. It wasn’t. Gone was the warmth, berries, and floral chocolate and it was replaced with fresh, fruity, shampoo-y citrus. It smelled good but it was a stranger with no glimpse of its former self. And the lasting power oh, the lasting power. It sucked. Scent changed and watered down. Two slaps to my face, no thank you.
It smells nice and lasts for a couple of hours but after that it is dust. It is still good but when I want fruity floral I will go elsewhere. Take my review with a grain of salt cause I am definitely biased towards the shining jewel that was the pre-reformulation Amor Amor.

If you’ve ever wanted the fragrance of fancy hotel soap bottled, this is it. That is to say, it’s not necessarily a bad thing though… especially if you like clean soapy musk smells. 🙂 I’m not normally a big fan of fruity florals, but I’ll agree with Bois de Jasmin that Amor Amor is among the best in its genre. It also got high praises from Christopher Sheldrake, the nose for most Serge Lutens and a handful of Chanels, which is no small feat.
Amor Amor opens with a sparkling clean citrus accord, that is fizzy, effervescent, and very fresh. Orange is most prominent first, but grapefruit becomes more prominent as the alcohol evaporates. Admittedly the citruses in the top veers dangerously toward dishwashing liquid territory, but thankfully this dissipates. I start to smell white florals, which to my nose are namely lily and a very fleshy but clean jasmine–no indoles here, so no baby/animal poopy butt. Just plain good clean flowers, which gives it that hotel soap scent. There is blackcurrant, but it’s only a veil of jam here. This whole fruity floral composition rests on a bed of clean white musk and a sensual, creamy vanilla bean note. I thought I was the crazy one for being able to pick up on a coconut note but it turns out I’m not alone, as kastehelmi does too. It’s very light, but it also contributes to that ‘clean hotel soap’ smell versus sunscreen or suntan lotion, especially since lots of soap bases nowadays are coconut-based.
This is a really nicely done and well-blended fruity floral perfume, perfect for teens and women in their 20s as well… but wear whatever the hell you want at any age, in any case. 😛 It smells very classy and I imagine that it could fit all different types of occasions and seasons. This is a staple for whenever I just want to smell nice and clean.

I came across samples of this in a magazine and instantly fell in love with it and the scent was burned into my brain. Over a year later, on my honeymoon, my new husband bought me a bottle. It has been my signature scent ever since (replacing Malibu Musk, which I shamelessly wore well into my early 20s). 13 years later I still haven’t found anything more “me”, and my husband still loves “honeymoon perfume”. Tried the Absolu EDP, that was a disaster (see review on that scent’s page). Wish the original EDT was a bit stronger and longer lasting, as “subtle” isn’t how I roll, but I love this stuff.

This is everything my teenage years were. This is a real sweaty goth smell, dark and erotic and angry. It’s very filling, vanilla, orange and black currants fill you up immediately until you’re frothing. There is more citrus, some floral, then some amber and musk. It’s strong and heavy, but uncomplicated and wavers well into the day. Unfortunately I can’t tell if it’s really good or not anymore as it literally transports me back into the year 2006. 6.5/10

I used to have a little sample of this as a young adult. And now 5-6 years later I bought it again.
I remember it smelling like oranges and flowers. Somehow I can’t pick up on the orange now except for the first few seconds from when I spray it. I get a strong citrus note but more like bergamot and lemon mixed with what I think is cassia. After a while I can pick up on a lot of white flowers. Jasmine and Lily being the strongest ones on my skin, still with a little bit of lemon and a small bit of orange in the background.
Sadly this last just a few hours on me now. I remember it was longer when I was younger but I still love it and am glad I got it. Accidently I bought Amor Amor in a Flash first and that was not what I wanted.
This is just fresh and beautifully citrus and floral.

Some people whose opinion I respect find this perfume utterly erotic, and this keeps me thinking, so today I tested it again in the mall. I am still having a hard time with it. The opening is too much for me, too strong and aggressively sweet, however it is not sharp at least, but smooth. Later on it becomes a cuddly sweet scent. It reminds me to two Oriflame fragrances: Fire, which I bought during my university years appr. 10 years ago (and the juice which remained in my bottle smells the same, no signs of going rancid, it is great), and Love Potion, which I bought perhaps around 4 years ago. It is somewhere between the two, closer to Fire. Out of the three I think I like Love Potion the best. It may work to seduce young men and boys, but I wear fragrance for my own pleasure, and there are so many fragrances I would rather reach for if I wanted to seduce myself.

I was 13 when it came out. It was already two years since I fell in love for the first time so I felt like I needed some heavy artillery to win the guy over. After smelling many fragrances in the shop I came to conclusion that Amor Amor was the love potion I was searching for. My mum hated it, she kept saying it’s fragrance for mature women, which persuaded me completely that this is exactly what I needed. 🙂
I remember buying a big bottle straight away with my own money and on my way home not being able to wait any longer, opening it and spraying on myself. It was winter time in Russia, minus one million degrees, and then I get swamped by the frosted black current and vanilla… mmmm… I’ve used up at least two big bottles of it until I switched to newly relea
