Description

This perfume was presented in 2007. It was created by Nathalie Lorson of Firmenich, who enriched the top notes with nutmeg, blackberry and currant.

The heart beats with the accords of intoxicating rose spiced with pepper, peony, lily and sweet, floral ylang-ylang. The base is powdery and soft with Bourbon vanilla and sensual musk.

The designer of the bottle is Lalique, of course, and it was inspired by Ralf Lalique’s object for bathroom, Epines (“Thorns”) designed in 1920. The bottle for the perfume extract carries crystal blackberries on the top and is clothed in seductive purple. It is available as 50 and 100 ml edp and 50 ml perfume extract.

Amethyst from Lalique could be best described as a happy forrest fruits cocktail, with a dose of freshness and a tiny peppery twist. It’s quite inoffensive, uncomplicated yet elegant and sophisicated.
I love to describe fragrances by the way they make me feel.
Amethyst is one of those scents I reach to, whenever I need a boost of instant happiness in my life. It never fails to get me in a better mood and it’s one of my favorite fragrancetherapy scents.
Although created more than a decade ago, I discovered Amethyst about two years ago. I can’t believe I missed so many years without this beauty in my life. I’m making up for the lost time by wearing way more often then I should. I’m already at my second bottle which is a lot for me.
I recommend trying it if you’re into fruity forrest scents, with a twist. It’s also very affordable and great value for the quality.

Oh, Lalique…Lalique…I adore this brand. Amethyst is no exception.
Amethyst is definitely a pretty “purple” fragrance. Blueberry, blackberry, mulberry and black currant are very well blended. Black pepper picked thru here and there, as well as musk to give the dark fruits more depth. The composition is gently sweet, soft, and delicate just like how Lalique did with all fragrances. Lalique’s style is nicely recognizable in Amethyst. Rose and ylang ylang add sophistication and class while strawberry helps “brightening” the purple fruits. Vanilla and wood give it just a touch of warmth.
I think this scent can be nicely worn by a man as well.

I fell in love with Meliora by Parfums de Marly, but I didn’t fall in love with its price. When I read that LALIQUE AMETHYST was created by the same nose, and saw that others rated them as similar, I decided to go for it–my first ever blind buy, at $24 for a brand new 3.3 fl. oz. Eau De Parfum. I am beyond excited because the two smell the same!
If you love Meliora, save your pennies for another love and instead buy AMETHYST!

I like this, I can smell dark berries and plums and something slightly boozy. I don’t get any pepper( good I’m getting tired of pepper in perfume) and some slight lily and sweet rose, like in YSL Babydoll. Very slightly soapy. A very light greenness is underneath.
It somehow smells very purple or magenta. Not too strong or overpoweding. I can see this as a spring scent but maybe autumn too. If you like purple scents but not powdery this might be for you.
I would like to get a full bottle.

I tried the Amethyst Eclat perfume first and expected this to be similar but it isn’t! At the opening I smell the 5 berries but the powdery aspect with hint of musk was noticeable. After it dried down it still smelled like berries, powdery, with florals. It stayed that way with a hint of sweetness at end. A pretty fragrance but I like the Eclat version better.

To me, this is a very fresh scent. Not fresh as in melon, powder, or watery notes. Fresh as in leaves and vines: the smell of a garden after the rain. Although it is somewhat fruity, I smell a lot of the freshness that I associate with rosebushes. I don’t smell rose per se, but rather the green leaves and wood of the bushes.
I am happy with this purchase, since I did not have anything similar to this in my collection.

I definitely get a slight gingerale or carbonation effect from this perfume. I’m sure it is coming from the pepper, but overall it smells like sparkling juice they may give you for a toast at a celebration. The berry smells work together very well and smell ripe and authentic, not synthetic or cloying. Definitely has a more “perfume” quality, than a berry body spray, which I was kind of expecting. I see this working in all seasons and it’s worth a test, if you are curious. I would love a full bottle in my collection.

Looking at the notes of Amethyst you expect a fruity sour-sweet blast. In reality, it truly is fruity right away, not gourmand at all, lightly sweet, close to skin, aromatic. A quiet perfume, suggested for sensitive noses. Some earthy cassia is apparent, some grapes,a touch of green notes, not too acrid. It’s a mediocre blend with almost no character. A light fruity blackcurrant-grape scent, that would actually work for summer. For five hours I was getting whiffs of it.
    I definitely won’t need this

The most beautiful berry fragrance I know. On me it smells very natural and lasts long. A very good quality perfume.
I admire the work of Nathalie Lorson, she is such a talented perfumer!

I’ve waited for Lalique Amethyst for a long time and I’ve been looking for an opportunity and I’ve been imagining that it was for my scent, the notes and the flacon …
Yesterday – What was a happy day! I got two packages of perfumes, so I tested the wrists immediately 🙂 Left- Sweet Candy Truffle, right- Amethyst. Two completely different fragrances, different smels, different categories, different price, and quality … And yesterday The floral Amethyst lost with caressing senses chocolate with notes of orange, rum and earth ;-
This morning, I decided to be completely objective and I used only Amethyst. The difference is huge, Lalique gains by closer acquaintance. This isn’t what I expected because I hoped for strong and sensual experiences like Chopard Happy Spirit Magical Night, but now it’s only “like”.
Amethyst is as fruity as dark fruit (unfortunately, not juicy, but frozen or compot), sparkling pepper like red fizzy drink, lovely like pink peonies and warm like wood notes and vanilla. For me, this is more joyful and energetic scent for the day, than mysterious, intriguing and stimulating the senses at night. I think that I can sense the common base of Tendre Kiss Lalique in the background.
The projection is rather lower than average. However, today and yesterday, it’s sensed over 6 hours on my skin 🙂
    I think there’s a chance for love …

I don’t know how to describe it properly, but this scent gives me the feeling of space. Endless lazy ocean slowly moving under the cloudy skies, fruit gardens widely spread its green branches under the Mediterranean sun… It has nothing in common with the gem, I mean amethyst, it is all about the color of the berries, top notes of the scent. I really enjoy blackberries and currant notes. I am not sure I sense the nutmeg, sorry. Pepper is the king of this fragrance, but this pepper is not sharp, it is tender, enveloping, seductive. The composition is really interesting. Elegant, deep, wide, like I said in the beginning of this pamphlet. Very different, very calm. I love it. It’s not a scream, it’s the whisper. Do you care about me? Or are you carelesssssss?…….

I have come to highly prize and cherish this scent.
And I think if youre american, you may not understand it.
This is very European, especially French, in the way it wears and the way it evolves and dries down.
    Understated.
And you have NO IDEA how delicious “understated” really IS to those who love you, or fall in love with you. Understated DOES NOT MEAN MILD OR NEUTRAL. It basically means… Not the LEAST bit tacky or show offy. Because IT DOESNT NEED TO BE. It KNOWS its good.
    Artisan.
The dry down is my favorite, and honestly, its nearly impossible for me to describe!
Clean, yet — lived in — elegance.
Smells the way your life smells… Smells like the way you LIVE, as opposed to a perfume. Like… all the things you have in your home, your choice of detergents, your special dishwashing fluids, your cedar and oak dressers, your face creams, etc.
Add that all up and it gives the impression of one who uses rare and expensive things… all of high quality. One who knows quality, and chooses wisely and carefully where she spends her money.
    Truly lovely, flute-like fragrance.
Not one tiny bit of SWEET… AT ALL. Nothing sweet here.
    And NOT perfumey either.
Fresh, wonderful, and achingly sexy in a truly etheral, soulful way.
The sexy here is NOT a one night stand. It is two people who deeply honestly LOVE one another in a poetic,as well as, seasoned, way.
If you were married when you wore this, and then after 5 years you divorced, and your husband were to smell this on another… he would be in tears remembering all the tiny little things he loved about you. Your little habits, and your special unique characteristics.
But this is NOT a sad perfume, in fact it is a PERFECT signature, as it is suitable all year round.
I was more trying to convey that this perfume is special and unique in ways Ive not seen before, and to describe the understated, yet powerful, magic it carries within it.
This is, in one word… SINCERITY. But not just that… The sincerity of one with impeccably good taste and poetically perfect timing.

I admit, I was expecting berry bomb, because I love all of the dark berries and Amethyst is full of them. And I love amethyst.
But I was completely disappointed – it smells artificial, like cheap toxic fragrances for children. And it doesn’t last. And it is boring. Oh, so much.
Even my shampoo and hand soap smell more interesting.

To me, this is “different”..a “different” that I will gladly wear (if not everyday, lol).. I agree with Allen-at-home, this smells way more floral than the notes indicate. I am not picking up the berry notes. I smell a lilac, is lilac just not listed in the notes here..? Maybe the purple color is playing with my subconscious, lol..But I swear I smell a bit of lilac (maybe even wisteria..???)..and the rose. A touch of peony. It is more of a grown woman’s scent, imo. I know any age can wear what they want, but some scents do seem marketed for certain ages. This seems more targeted toward late 30s in age and above. Not “old lady,” but..mature. Grown up. Not wanting to smell like a cupcake. Which, incidentally, I do not pick up any sweetness here, and that is sometimes a very nice break.
Not heavy nor thick, like I was suspecting it to be. A touch spicy, just a wee touch spicy. And an ever so slight woodiness peeks through now and then., but mainly a (slightly spicy) floral.
Yes, this one to me is a little “different,” in a surprisingly pleasing way. Again, not an everyday fragrance for me, but sometimes, you just want something “different”. No worries about smelling like every other woman at the mall or coffee shop with this one, and that is nice. More for cooler weather, imo. I do not think this one would wear well on my skin anyway, in the heat. But for colder months, this is very nice, a nice change of pace. Something “different,” yet not too “out there” …by any means.

It’s been awhile since I’ve worn Amethyst, but I am surprised how FLORAL it feels. The notes show the only floral notes are rose and peony, but despite the 4 berry notes, they seem to overpower. IMO, the rose and peony are totally unnecessary because there are already the woods, pepper, musk, and ylang to round it out. (I wish the ylang was more prominent.) After wearing for an hour now, the berries still feel in the background somehow. I think Lalique should put out a new version featuring only the berries and ylang, and maybe call it, Intimate Amethyst. Oh, and market it to women AND men. 🙂
*UPDATE* I just discovered Lalique has ANOTHER fragrance, Amethyst Exquise, which doesn’t have the rose or peony, but has added ORCHID. It sounds MUCH more suitable to my personal taste.

    Really amethyst fragrance:)
So awesome berries… The most noticeable is black currant, especially in the beginning. Then I’m starting to feel blackberry. And black pepper is like brances of trees in the forest. Feeling myself in amythyst forest at midnight:)))
Oh, and thanks to the peony note, it’s not like jam.
    Fairy tale!

I don’t give a flying squirrel if I get a compliment for wearing a particular perfume. If I like it what does it matter what others think.
Please give this one a few minutes and the fruity spicy velvety goodness will develop well. Don’t judge a book by its cover, don’t quickly judge this perfume by the soapy outset.
    I love all things Lalique

Oh, all those nice comments here… Another blind buy.
Reminds of Mure Sauvage Yves Rocher, but Amethyst is less natural smelling.
Very annoing cheap smelling bathroom air freshener.
I only like the bottle color.

  19. :

Amethyst starts out very soapy to me….powerhouse soapy. After a few minutes the berries and the floral softly appear followed by spice and musk. You have to get past that initial blast. Well worth having.

Dear Allen-at-Home, can I ask where you bought this? Why do you ask if this is s knock off. It is only around $30.00.
    Also my bottle is 101540B17

WOW, is this ever nice, my first initial take on this is a beautiful, slightly sweet fruity wine.
With the black currents, blackberries, mulberries and blueberries it gives it that sultry fruitiness. To me it does not smell synthetic, or sour. Very fresh and clean. I am surprised for a berry scent. Usually they sour down, but not this one. After a few minutes I can smell the other floral notes softly coming through ( rose, ylang, peony) I do get a faint smell of the strawberry. And as it dries down it settles to a warm fruity woody vanilla, with just a whisper of spice.
I am very happy with this fragrance. Longevity is excellent at least 8 hours (on me) and sillage is there but beautifully subtle. Price point is great, not overly expensive. Around $30-$40. Another sucessfull blind buy.

  22. :

Amethyst opens with all the syrupy sweet, juicy fresh dark berries one can imagine. Blackberry and black currant are the strongest notes, with a hint of wood in the background. The beginning is really delicious.
Unfortunately the drydown falls a bit flat for me. It’s a mix of jammy berries, vanilla, peony, a soft hint of pepper and a woody note that smells like my lipliners (which isn’t a bad thing). When I spray a normal amount, it’s weak and faint and doesn’t last. When I spray a lot it gets a bit sickly sweet after a few hours with berries, vanilla and musk staying the longest on my skin. Not really bad, just annoying enough for me not wanting to smell like that.
What a pity, it began so good.
I think James Bond 007 and YSL Parisienne go in a similar direction to this (‘similar’, not ‘the same’), but I like them both better than Amethyst.

When I was little I used to live in the woods and if we were early we would pick blackberries along the road while we waited for the school bus. However, if it was too soon after we’d brushed our teeth the berries would taste like soap. That taste translated to scent is the most notable part of this fragrance. And that might not be a bad thing for most people — given an opportunity many would choose to smell like well crafted blackberry soap for a few hours, but I’m not sure how I feel about it yet.
That’s also not the whole of the fragrance. This is one of those with a strong alcohol opening, but it gives way to a solid, slightly musky, berry scent. Peony is the first floral that I noticed, but rose and ylang were soon after and they mellowed into the blackberry soap scent. After a few hour the soap died down and I am left with a skin scent like blackberry wine without the booziness.

Fresh berries and light, airy wine… This is what Amethyst represents to me. The burst of dark forest fruits is almost mouthwatering. When the fruity opening fades, a slightly floral scent appears with a little pepper. Still, dark berries play the main role. Drydown is fruity – musky. It’s clean, energetic, casual yet elegant. I think this is how the color purple smells.

  27. :

I laughed out loud at the “big strawberry” note.
Once in a blue moon I get a craving for Perles de Lalique. I detect the same Iso E Super overdose in this but with fruit replacing patchouli. Blackcurrant and I usually don’t get along but in this it works, probably thanks to all the other blue-purple berries. It’s very moreish, very nose-yummy, kind of sweetishly dry. It’s a love.

Ok, been wearing it for maybe 2 hours now, and it reminds me of Plum Japonais, only not as spicy. The jury is still out on whether or not *I* could get away with wearing it in public, I wore Plum Japonais to work once and didn’t get a single compliment. But still, Amethyst is very nice, somewhat haunting, and melancholic. Makes me think about a nice, quiet, rainy day.

    Allen at home,
the fragrance is totally unisex and can be worn by men without a doubt.

  30. :

I really get more of a floral scent from this.. like a spicy floral. I really love it. I bought a full bottle and at first spray it is sweet, but the dry down is more subdued. THat is when the slightly sweet but spicy floral picks up. It is not overpowering. At least, not on me. Wearable for work/office environment ..has a hint of sexy so could also be worn for evening. I feel it’s more of a spring/summer scent, but that little kick of spicy may make it a fall/winter… will have to wait for Fall and see.

This fragrance was recommended to me by the sales woman after listing a few perfumes I like. She put it on my wrist and I liked it but was more impressed by another fragrance. Then I came across this one online and it was on sale. Since I love the listed notes and my first experience with it was ok enough, I bought it. At home I opened it and put it on, nothing intruiging or complex here. Just straight forward blackberries, reminds me of a soda pop. I really don’t know what happened here, but it is a disappointment. I still hope that somehow it will grow on me or my nose is just in a phase 😉

  32. :

Black currant? Where? All I smell is blackberry and some smoky rose/peony! Such a pity, because I (blind) bought it for the black currant, but it smells more like sweet Pickwick Forest Fruit tea or Yves Rocher Les Plaisirs Nature Blackberry soap!
Smells sweet on me, fruity, no freshness, no dusty smell. No black currant! Argh.

  33. :

I am confused. The first two hours are brilliant. I smell mostly blackcurrant, and I love that. But then comes the base which is awful. It smells like attic dust on me.

  34. :

    5 out of 5

I’m not sure I understand how I can dislike this scent so much when I love all the listed notes…?! I’ve given it 2 good wearings and each time I’m beyond bored with this…, ok so maybe that’s just the brakes for a perfume slut who owns hundreds and hundreds of perfumes…. But still I don’t understand. It just smells of…nothing, I don’t get any distinctive fruits or florals or vanilla, it just smells of boring vapid teen trash fruit something….sorry, that’s the absolute best description I can come up with.

  35. :

    3 out of 5

This is a fruit salad of all the possible blueish, purplish/blackish fruits. It’s not as intriguing as I wanted it to be, that makes it one of the most fruity-yummy, classy, almost expensive choice for young girls. Good one.

  36. :

    3 out of 5

Like other reviewers have mentioned, a dry and powdery, soapy scent. It really is sweet in the first phase, but it faints after maybe less than an hour, remaining a very synthetic scent. It’s somewhat reminiscent of a more mature scent but the synthetic notes make it, on the other hand, more suitable for younger crowds, like teenagers. Maybe it’s just my skin chemistry, but that’s the weird vibe I’m getting.
The bottle is pretty, but that’s not the reason we usually buy perfume.

Although it is not my type, it is generally pleasant, “deep”, sweet, dry. Blackberry gives fruity note, not heavy and not artificial. Such a sweet-seasoned, which makes perfume elegant, mature character.
Almost without fruit. The unique, highly recommendable, but I recommend wrist/test first and then purchase the bottle

Another sample from the lovely Melzy (thank you!) – goodness, this is so pretty; a lovely berry laden light, sweet treat. This is not like any other fruity floral I’ve ever tried on, it’s in a class of its own. The berries are allowed to shine without interruption and with the addition of a softening but not muting musk, this really is one very classy berry scent.
My only issue is maybe the sillage. I’ll update with an edit if I can still smell this in a few hours but for now, the scent wafts in and out of my periphery which is very nice but at times I cannot smell it at all! I’m not minding this aspect of “wafting” though, it adds to the beauty of this.

To: GodKing You must have missed the fact that this person MEANT TO TYPE “MAINLY” INSTEAD OF ‘MANLY” So I believe you misunderstood that in your below comment which I copied and pasted.

First splash : a slight nutty black currant then juicy blackberries that has been basting in the sun. Here in OR state there are ton of wild blackberry bushes. There is an essence of that just picked fresh berry scent. Fresh off the bush with branches/twigs around it.
Dry down: sensual musk wraps the berries around. It’s not that teen-ish bubblegum grape-y headache inducing stuff.
Suitable for unisex. Sillage : I”ve only tried it on for 2 hours and it’s still lingering. Another blind buy that didn’t make me regret buying without testing.

I find Amethyst quite lovely and surprisingly unique. By unique I mean that I can’t offer a similar fragrance as a point of reference to begin describing this gem. (See what I did there?)
Amethyst greets you with a cloud of grape leaving no doubt as to how this fragrance got its name. Next an abundance of juice, almost sour at times, comes forth. Finally a powdery musk emerges. Amethyst transitions delightfully from a post-shower fizz to an almost masculine musk. The wearer will enjoy moments of berries, spice, and dark musk. Because of the fruity, somewhat soapy, notes, I imagine this fragrance on a youthful twenty-something. There is a lot here to be enjoyed.
I have tested two Lalique fragrances and found that each went through a metamorphosis starting out lovely and light and ending dark and elegant. Bravo to this house for such thoughtful fragrance design.

My mom is wearing this lovely liquid.
This perfume is manly berry, IMHO. At first spray its scent is feminin with less sweetness. But the dry down reminds me of Encre Noir with feminin touch ( I’ve passed a bottle of Encre Noir).
Floral or fruity scent hasn’t been my cup of tea but it deserves 8/10 from me since its unique scent and slightly unisex for the dry down.
If a girl under 20 yo wears this, I think she becomes an instant classic to my opinion … 🙂
The projection is not powerful, but the longevity is outstanding.
    Regards

Oh I’m unsure about this one. I’ve had it for about a month now and I still can’t decide whether I like it or not. I definitely don’t love it. It was a blind buy based on the notes and after reading about this scent being “grown up” and complex I thought this was the black currant I’d been searching for. Well, black currant I get, that for sure. Choking sweet, headache inducing nose-in-a-jam-jar smell which I still cannot get used to. I normally enjoy gourmand and strong smells but this… I really don’t know. I can smell it throughout the day and while I’m impressed with longevity, I’m paranoid that it’s not only suffocating me but others around me too.
Also, I haven’t received a single compliment wearing this. It’s as if people try to avoid mentioning the sickly sweet scent that trails after me.
I’ll keep trying and see if it grows on me. At the moment it makes me feel a bit ill and is way too overpowering for my liking.
UPDATE. It’s been about six months since the purchase and I finally grew to really like this perfume. Worn in spring and summer it smells fresher and less suffocating, and I like the summery berry smell. I still can’t say I love it though, unsure why. Also, despite the good silage and decent longetivity no one has ever commented or complimented me on this, which is quite unusual. Still, I enjoy it now and find it much less overwhelming than I did at first. Maybe summer is the time to wear it after all. It’s like having a dislike for someone first time you meet them but then becoming good friends after getting to know them.

I’m so disappointed. After reading the rave reviews on here, I made a blind buy to find that this does not smell like realistic, juicy blackberries. There is nothing realistic about it as it smells like a cheap drugstore fragrance with poor lasting power. I wanted my mouth to water and to smell ripe for the picking. This is a poor synthetic let-down.

Very berry!!! Grown up berry. A mature woman’s version of the Escada fruitiness… Then it dries down to a clean smell, but still fruity and light floral… Last a long time, a few sprints or a couple (I am a heavy hander, lol) is truly all you need!

Amethyst by Lalique what can i say about this perfume first of all it is a bargain ranging from 30-40 dollars a bottle for 100ml is amazing for a scent that literally smells like sweet berries . . . it’s honestly an everyday scent that you can’t get sick of it last’s about 3-6 hours, but even 8 hours later I’ve had people tell me i smell great i think it’s because we tend to not smell ourselves after a period of time, but others surly can top note is definitely fruity which i love makes it sweet and a crowd pleaser highly recommend to buy this as a part of your collection not only is it great it’s affordable.

Amethyst by Lalique is one of the most surprising fruity perfumes I’ve tried–surprising in its longevity. I thought the top notes of fruit would disappear, but they stuck around and overshadowed the floral heart. It smells a little bit like grape bubblegum, but not in an off-putting way and isn’t saccharine like other perfumes with similar fruit notes. The blackberry and blackcurrant are prominent and eventually dissipate into a slightly soapy, clean musk drydown. Amethyst also seems versatile in that it can definitely be layered with other perfumes that have stronger drydowns and are woodier in nature.

Beautiful, beautiful fragrance… One of the best fruity scents, that smell exactly like berries, however they lack the usual synthetic sweetness that 90% of all fruity perfumes contain. For a fruity scent, it’s a very unique fragrance.
You can clearly very natural black currant and blackberries in this one. Sadly my nose can’t smell any rose or any other flowers that are listed in the perfume’s composition. Later on woodsy notes kick in, making this perfume very balanced and I’d say that the woodsy notes give this perfume certain unisex feel…
My only complain: the silage could be much better, the scent is a bit too weak for my nose…

This and Parisienne are the two best berry perfumes I know of (IMHO). Amethyst smells of realistic berries that are still on the branch – very woodsy and earthy. No sugar coated fruits with this one. The pepper is lovely and the rose well behaved. The finish is slightly musky and rather clean and I don’t really get much of the vanilla. I guess that’s because it’s a rather bitter and dry vanilla (also very realistic). Lovely! Wouldn’t mind owning a bottle of this one!

This reminds me strongly of the long discontinued Dewberry perfume oil by the Body Shop.
It also reminds me of Eclat d’arpege.
    Nice but not new.
Update: Sillage is terrible! No one can smell this on me even when I’ve doused myself, I can’t smell it either – completely pointless. Not a good blind buy.

    What a great disappointment!
I bought 100ml Lalique as soon as I smelled it. It was fantastic, how beautiful it smelled in the beginning. A bomb of peonia and burries.
But it doesn’t last.at all.Neither to my skin nor to my friends’skin.

I really like this perfume! It smells like black fruit and it last a few hours. I also love the bottle and its color.

It was on my watch list for so long with that beautiful purple bottle and promising notes, I found it online and because of the very reasonable price I had almost made my mind to order a 100ml bottle but I tested it by accident somewhere,At first it was very charming but drydown was a huge disappointment. I wanted sth clean and breezy to wear in spring/summer but the ultimate drydown was pure strong shampoo/soap/washing powder type of smell. Anyone who is willing to buy it online be aware of that. If you are not a fan of soapy smells you will probably get disappointed.

Purchased this at my local drugstore, and I am really enjoying how clean it is. It’s not too sweet, with a touch of floral to be very fun, yet serious.

I Love this Absolutely Divine fragrance. It’s Deep purple & so Alluring. It’s Berries are juicy, tart (like fresh berries) & don’t become super sweet. It has more of a natural sweetness with amazing freshness to it. The perfect whisper of gorgeous rose, peony petals & sexy ylang, with pepper spice & a hint of woods & musk lingering in the background. It also lasts a really log time on me, while most berry scents usually don’t. LOVE IT!!!
Reminds me of Forbidden Affair Anna Sui, which I also have. Forbidden Affair is a bit softer, doesn’t project as much & a tad more floral. That is also missing the sexy ylang & kick of pepper

Amethyst gives me that ‘just stepped out of the shower’ feeling, as it’s similar to a yummy shampoo or shower gel wafting on a gentle cloud of steam. It also reminds me of a more sophisticated and well-blended version of a Victoria’s Secret or celebrity scent, otherwise known as a fruity floral.
I found it difficult to determine notes here, so in a nutshell, I found it to be a very sweet berry mishmash that progressively gets cleaner as it dries down. Quite a linear scent. Although I enjoyed this, it doesn’t excite me enough to buy it, but I might get more out of it in the warmer months. Soft to moderate sillage; lasts for about 4-5 hours.
