This is in the same vein as Angel. It’s very much suited for night wear. Not my fave but i wear it…

Slightly less refined, less green version of MFK Lumiere Noir pour femme. It’s a good dupe at a great price of you can find it on sale at anthropologie. Lumiere noir is better, more rounded, while American Beauty is almost harsh in comparison. Still, they’re cousins.

To my nose, American Beauty is a lighter and more sheer version of Bond No. 9’s gourmand rose, West Side. The rose and violet notes are prominent and play off each other nicely. The leather is soft (lipstick rose inside an old but beautifully soft leather handbag). The pepper is restrained. Though not listed as notes, patch and vanilla are definitely present, but deftly muted. If West Side is a bit too intense for you, but you seek its gourmand effect, you may very well enjoy American Beauty (and the price is nice, too). I own both, but American Beauty will be my go-to gourmand rose for the hot days of summer. Nicely done.
