Description
“Convincing but sweet. It opens with a combination of African incense and bergamot, giving way to a woody heart composed by the always sensual sandalwood who strengthen its intensity by the patchouly. The note that makes it different from other oriental-vanille fragrances, is, the personality of the tobacco leaf that we find as base note. Vanille and amber complete this so personal perfume.” – a note from the brand.
Ambre Tabac by Daniel Josier is a Oriental Woody fragrance for men. The nose behind this fragrance is Daniel Josier. Top notes are incense and bergamot; middle notes are patchouli and sandalwood; base notes are amber, tobacco and vanilla.

I ordered this fragrance from fragranceoutlet.com and it arrived yesterday. Even though my wife absolutely hates it, I think this is a very classy fragrance and I will definitely wear it occasionally on cool fall/winter days. I wanted to have at least one “bad boy” fragrance that would go well with my black leather jacket. It projects extremely well, so one spray might be enough.

@sirmasterpiece i dont think so franck boclet is quite soft on projection and longevity using that for a while

Best in Class! Finally found my nighttime scent!

The quality of this fragrance is superb. It’s definitely in my Top 3 all time list. I’ll be going to Barcelona soon, and can’t wait to try others from that line
Longetivity 10/10
Silage 10/10
Spray your self only once and you’ll smell for the whole day.

Absolute masterpiece. This is a really nice amber and tobacco scent (hence the name) that smells like resinous apple pie with cinnamon and a root-beer style boozy amber. It’s so beautiful and has insane sillage and longevity (more than any fragrance I’ve ever tried). I also get a really boozy and non-cloying vanilla scent which is really similar to Replica Jazz Club. The sweet tobacco with amber combined make a sort of scent approximation to chocolate mixed with cherry (a note I detect that’s not listed in the note breakdown). I didn’t think I would enjoy this as much as I do since I’m not usually a heavy winter scent affectionado, but I really like this. It is totally unisex as well. Sillage is strong while longevity is also very strong. This is a nice alternative to Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille or Amber Absolute. It just smells really good. It resembles Hermes Ambre Narguile but in my opinion is far, far better than it due to the boozy notes in this and the improved longevity and projection, and in fact Daniel Josier was a student of the perfumer behind Ambre Narguile (Jean-Claude Ellena).

Have Tobacco vanille, pure havane, herod, chergui but this is the best tobacco i’ve smell.

It goes along the same lines of Ambre Narguille, Oajan, and 1 million prive my comparisons of the 3 would be that.
AN is the most novelty of the 3 in terms of that apple cinnamon pie sorta vibe if thats what you are looking for. And if we were to think of the fragrance as a color if you will I imagine a sorta crystalized color.
Oajan is the roughest, harshest, most vibe version of them all.
1 million prive is the cherry tobacco, bubble gum, with buttery tonka bean dry down. Although as well the weakest performing of the 4…
Compared to those id say that Ambre Tabac is sorta like a slightly harsher, rougher version of 1 million prive. In that it has a very strong fruity tobacco note through out. Strong enough cherry that it almost makes me think of a cherry bubble gumish flavor. The tobacco also reminds me of tobacognac if anyone has smelled that fragrance. As it is transitioning I do get some aspects that remind me of even say CK shock, however this never gets that chocolate or cordial smell. And I even get some hints of herod, or light my fire.
There is just a pinch of honey in the tobacco to this one as well thats specs shine a bit brighter in the very dry down. Speaking of the dry down the amber does have that sorta slight rubber, plastic, powder kinda amber mix that some fragrances have. But its pretty light and generally its just a nice vanilla, fruity cherry sorta tobacco with some honey specs…
Overall the apple cinnamon pie novelty if you will does nothing for me, so AN is the big “loser” for me. Id say I probably like Ambre tabac the best offhand. I think overall its the best throughout. For the most part this fragrance is very thick fruity tobacco scent. That leans for the first duration more cherry, and then as it dries down the vanilla gets stronger, with some slight honey specs shining, and a bit of amber.
Performance is fine.

Opens up with fresh tobacco leaf and something honey sweet. At the beginning it smells very similar to 18.21 Sweet Tobacco, so close that I thought what the hell. Over time the sandalwood and patchouli come into play, this stage reminds me of RP Knightsbridge even though the latter has a smoother quality. Late in the drydown it starts to gets spicier and I smell like I had spilled chai latte all over myself.
So in summary, very impressed. It’s 18.21, Knightsbridge and Tabac Rouge all rolled into one, I could definitely see myself getting a bottle of this.

Up date: surprised why I failed to detect that AT closely rather 90% resembles with Night fall Patchouli in its opening. However as it evolves, it turns more interesting more elegant due to spiciness which probably is rendered by the highly refined tobacco note. Semi sweet gourmand, bit spicy tobaccoish fragrance, rich and refined in all espects. Class in the glass.

From where I should start…it is too multi dimensional to comment except one “amazing, supper luxurious, intoxicating and captivating”. Dark with bright colors, deep with airy feel, sexy with elegance feel, sweet but spicy and vibrant touch. My second love after single malt by kilian. If you add some spices and fine tobacco notes to night fall patchouli, you may get this master piece. Pure love…well done denial josier…only bad it is not available in pakistan…so sorry.

What a fragrance. It’s my first niche in my collection. It couldn’t be any better. Beautiful, elegant smell with strong silage. Definitely worth the price.
sava-igor – :
My first try from Daniel Josier, Ambre Tabac is, as the name suggests, primarily a blend of tobacco and amber.
It also involves a vanilla acord that’s familiar to most anyone who knows and loves the popular “sweet tobacco” category of fragrances, as I call it. Incense and sandalwood provide further character for this blend. Overall, it’s a little spicier in the opening and a little creamier and calmer in the dry down, as one might expect, but it’s a reasonably consistent fragrance throughout.
It performs well and is sweet and creamy, as it seems the animalic side of amber does not come out too much in this blend. However, Ambre Tabac reminds me of a couple of noteworthy honeyed tobacco fragrances, specifically, Back to Black By Kilian and Herod by Parfums De Marly, comparisons mostly intended to be complimentary, and while these comparisons don’t seem to be commonplace within the online fragcomm, I nonetheless detect the slight redundancy on my skin.
That said, it’s an outstanding fragrance, in a similar vein to the abovementioned fragrances, and at a fair price point for strong, niche-quality juice, at $175 for 100ml on the website.

Ambre Tabac is a beautiful honeyed tobacco, amber, and vanilla fragrance with cinnamon spices. Side by side with PdM Oajan it is the richer twin, with a slightly sweeter and more appealing tobacco and amber accord. Projection is even better, as it easily lasts a minimum of 8 to 12 hours, depending on how much is sprayed. Spray residue remains shiny on the skin after it dries down, contributing to its outstanding longevity. As it dries down it can be compared to the beautiful Hermes Ambre Narguile, but it stays closer to Oajan in scent profile. Ambre Tabac can also be compared with Herod, but Herod is about the tobacco rather than sweeter cinnamon spices. These fragrances are all great, but Ambre Tabac has a purity of notes and balance that appeals the most to me.

First time wearing and I am amazed, this is a fantastic fragrance. The tobacco, vanlila and amber are done just right. Highly recommend and blind buying like I did was a good thing, you won’t be disappointed.

“Ambre Tabac”
Its starts with refreshing boozy fruity spicy vibe ( apples , cherries with cinnamon ) then gets more deeper cozier dusty like an earthy tone of the tobacco and patchouli with quite sweet amber vanilla musky bone .
Ambre Tabac its more characteristic deeper and manlier version of the popular “Ambre narguile” its darker , heavier , more earthy & quality .
even I found this better than the original ” Ambre narguile or , Ojan by parfums de marly , it has something more interesting & distinctive signature than the others .
“Ambre Tabac” its such a manly sexy night time fragrance for all seasons ,unique & wearable , cant go wrong with this one out side to attract the ladies 🙂 !
The manly sexiness with charming booze & Tobacco vibe !
10/10.

Great perfume from Daniel Josier.
I would highlight the perfect blend of amber, tobacco and vanilla, this last, in perspective, without making perfume is sweet, just a touch.
The note of tobacco is excellent and not if it is by itself or mixed with sandalwood, which gives it a dry aspect, which I personally love.
It is a perfume of good quality, well balanced and very addictive, more suitable for use in autumn and winter.
I have read that some people will find quite similar to Ambre Narguile, fragrance created by J.C. Ellena, master with which Daniel Josier was formed, but I can not testify, I could not prove (unfortunately) Hermes perfume.
Longevity and sillage, just perfect.

Great that this house is finally listed here!
I own this scent, and used it as my go-to for most of winter. It is a really beautiful oriental; The notes listed are spot on – except that I don’t get any incense at all. Also I always get a strong ”cinnamon” smell, but its not listed in the ingredients – perhaps the amber-tobacco-vanilla accord does that, I am not sure.
Projection and sillage are really good – good enough that you can be smelt when you leave a room; longevity is easily 12 hours on skin, and over a day on clothes. It is pretty potent, and will be cloying if over-applied, so go easy with the sprayer.
The bottle also looks good and is quite solid, for lovers of warm, spicy orientals – this is one to look at.
I have also tried Le Musk; and though it is a floral (not my cup of tea) – it’s also pretty nice.
I got AT as a gift from a friend when he went to Barcelona so I am not sure, but I believe it should cost around 70eur for 100ml, and thats a good price-quality ratio.
TLDR Version: This is a nice oriental scent with solid performance, if you like such – definitely give it a sniff.
Btw, has anyone noticed how ”familiar” the names of his scents are?

One of my favorites by his line. A beautiful scent enveloped in vanilla, tobacco, amber, cinnamon and crisp bergamot; pairs incredibly well with his Mystery Oud too
