Totally agree with Whit below! Heady, spicy opening, dries down to a cozy warm vanilla amber scent. Very beautiful scent in a classy looking bottle. Hard to find and expensive, but worth spending a little extra! Sillage and longevity are moderate. Very lovely enticing perfume, love it!

Mmm…mmmm…cinnamon ambery goodness without being gourmand. This is exquisite! I had never heard of Stendhal before until I was browsing note combos and one of their perfumes was listed.
The opening I get the benzoin and tolu; it’s very heady starting out. As it’s drying, I do get some nuances of apple but it’s very faint. Then I start getting more of the cinnamon and vanilla. It reminds me a bit of Ormond Jayne’s Tolu but spicier and creamier. This is a cozy, sitting by the fire in the dead of winter, sipping a spiced latte perfume. I haven’t worn this enough to comment on projection and sillage, but I will say that if you’re an amber fan, do try it. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this!

Amber Sublime. Gorgeous warm and a bit spicy Amber. Not like amber-scents from the 70’s – this is a modern version. On me unisex, there is a sweetness but not a female sweet note in it. Perfect scent for layering I think. 1 spray goes a long way and makes you smell great for hours. 3-4 spray will make it awfull. The Benzion, Tolu and Cinnamon are dominant on me. From like to Love!

I will be brief, since instead of writing I just want to sniff myself! This is perfection. The most beautiful amber out there!

In my skin is Le baiser du Dragon, but more femenine,a few more calm and warm. This is still unisex but without licore wich for me was suffocating in Le Baiser.
The Ambar is wow here!
Ideal for winter ,vanilla and tonka bean settle and the end.Is so warm and cream.

Madame de Carven

I think we should have Cinnamon and Carnation
certainly is special
ong lasting
classy , ideal for the woman who wants to stand
without looking like perfectly and has an ”breeze” of the Cinnabar by Estée Lauder

Such a delicate, warm embrace! A beautiful amber that strikes a perfect balance between lightness and depth. A compliment getter with great projection and longevity.

This has an old school spicy oriental vibe. It’s light and beautiful – it’s not heavy – just simple and foodie spicy and a light woody.
I get cardamom, vanillin, citrus, sandalwood, vetyver and the lightest lightest touch of atlas cedar
Edit: ok so I have finally tried Maroussia by Slava Zaitsev. This is kind of in the same category but it’s not as heavy and more focused on the foody spice notes.

I just bought it today, to wear in a family dinner, and I’m so happy, I love love love it!!!
It’s the type of fragrance that I choose thinking only in me, what’s confortable and pleasant to me. Without worrying about what colleague and clients will thought about.
The perfume has a strong beginning with cinnamon, then starts to settle down and you will feel surround by a wonderful aura of spices and delicate sweetness.
It’s seems to have a very good lasting power.

I wouldn’t say it’s an oriental floral. I think it’s rather an oriental vanilla. It smells super yummy. Amber, vanilla, cinamon, some honey & spices. Sometimes I tend to say I get some violet. Would be great if someone could ad the notes to this one. Perfect fragrance for chilly but not too cold weather, although I also enjoy it on warm, not hot summer days.

Absolutely love this fragrance!!! Never had as many compliments with any other fragrance. Unfortunately I can no longer seem to find it in Australia. ):
SmusicJazzMan – :
Very very nice, it’s like Christmas cinnamon cardamom cookies, with a touch of ylang – ylang and amber. The dry down is the best. And what I love about this, is that you won’t smell it on every other person walking by, and if you live in US you would really have to go out of your way to find this, which means nobody will smell like me :).
Edit:
I’m almost running out of the first bottle I’v purchased, my next bottle of this stuff is going to be huge. This is a hidden classic gem, I love it!

I agree with yacoco’s review on the main notes jumping out when you apply the frag..Just to add- it’s really sunny and warm, even a little honey-like on the skin..I think that there must be white flowers in the composition ad the juice has this particular flowery aura about it..delicious.

This is a very particular Amber, top notes burns off into a wonderful orange spiced top notes , similar to choc greedy though not as luxurious, the Amber then comes through in a very very furry dense sensation but by no means is it heady. Just a cozy smoothened layer enrobbed in a base of Ice Cream like vanilla flavors. Interesting, worth a try, but pricey for that.

I love this fragrance, but it has to be cold – or cool, at least – and you have to wear it in the night. And to be calm, to enjoy the magic moment. There’s something of a 1920s Guerlain mistery in it…

Espectacular ambar!!!!!!!!!!!!
