Ambre Mythique by Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier is a Aromatic fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance. Ambre Mythique was launched in 2016. Top notes are bergamot, geranium, coriander and incense; middle notes are myrrh, lavender and labdanum; base notes are patchouli, sandalwood, vanilla and tonka bean.

Ambre Mythique is a complex and mysterious fragrance. It is reminiscent of Shalimar with its smoky vanilla and creamy resinous base. The bergamot, coriander, geranium and lavender impart a lightness to the fragrance which keep things from becoming too heavy. There is a unique interplay here between cool and warm notes. There is a slight animalic quality which gives Ambre Mythique a vintage feel, but fortunately it doesn’t ever turn powdery on me.
This is rich amber with an aromatic twist. I find it to be completely unisex and very wearable if you spray lightly.

Do not expect the usual amber at all. This is a beautiful, powerful fragrance that feels classy and exquisitely dark. Here, the name “mythique” is appropriate, considering this is all about the depth and slow resonance of it’s base-heavy structure. The top notes of citrus are nearly non-existant, but what is there is gorgeously swirling up from the first spray. I get an immediate plume of incense, myrrh, patchouli and labdanum, which lingers and grows, revealing tonka bean that is sweet without being predictable or cloying in any way. My girlfriend also wears this, and is absolutely addicted to it, claiming it is mysterious, dark and extremely sexy. The longevity and sillage are both enormous. I had heard this parfum was upped in intensity, and I can see that. Actually, the one detracting factor may be the longevity, which, because of the powerful swelling of deep notes here, could turn a few off from its charms, but for me, and I’m sure for most, it will be seen as incredible. A blossoming black rainbow with enough sweetness and punch in the middle to “consider” it some kind of amber…I suppose.

Sorry Lechu but Taraka parfums is a branch of MPG not a separate company who bought them out. A range of 7 fragrances from MPG using the name Taraka Parfums

The company MPG change of ownership and was sold to Taraka et Parfums group.
Mithyque Ambre is one of the new releases under the new management , which also made a complete whitewash on the website , and presentation boxes and bottles of the entire collection.
The bottle seems to have more quality. I wish that this has been accompanied by an improvement in the strength of the juices.
