strange… maybe my sample is spoiled but smells like bleach

When I spray this I am greeted with a blast of what I interpret as oud that refuses to let go. It certainly reads like a very literal oud to my nose, it is a note I struggle with, but it might just be whatever was used to create the impression of amber in this particular composition (I have certainly smelled amber scents that have had a kind of dark, salty tinge to them, but in this one it makes me nauseous).
Out of all the offerings of this house currently in the database, this is the only one listed as unisex. I can understand that. It is most definitely unisex-y. There is an unmistakable ginger note throughout that intermingles with the dark, smoky amber and adds some type of interest. I suppose that I can detect the other listed notes, but it’s mostly about the amber and ginger to my nose, with some sandalwood and musk for depth. I don’t think I would ever wear this. Certainly not bad, your mileage may vary.
