Female here…my boyfriend tried a sample of this and I was really excited to smell it since I love amber & oriental fragrances.
I was so disappointed in this scent! I felt like the notes did not blend well together. I would not have named this amber essance, I really didn’t get much amber. On my boyfriend it had a woody and musky smell that I was not expecting to be the highlight. It also had extremely poor sillage, it was essentially a skin scent within seconds of application.

wow, this is so elegant !!! I love it. Not too sweet, a little spicy. Very balanced, one of my best amber frangrances.
    9/10

Very nice middle eastern type fragrance . I have other amber fragrances which gets too sweet, this however is very nicely done .
    Wish it could last longer
    Overall 7.5/10
Update : This took place in my wardrobe in place of Essence Oud.. sold that off last night & picked this up .. WOW JUST WOW ..
Update after 2 days of wearing … Longevity is really long 9 hrs plus but is more of a skin scent , should get better in winters but will buy a backup bottle of this for sure.

One of the best in line, on me it lasts 14 hours easily,it’s subtle but present with intensive wafts of incensy and ambery accords…..delicous! Hard to find

After giving this a couple more wearings, I feel I must revise my previous statements. I was expected a warm sweet amber going in to this frag, but its actually the opposite- a super dry, very airy amber. Also it performs quite well at least in projection, but unfortunately that makes smelling it up close to the spray point unpleasant and chemical like. If you do not smell up close, it is actually very nice and I also noticed that it gets a bit stronger a little later in its life. As far as scent, its a synthetic feeling dry amber and cashmerian all the way. Not bad, but I would probably advise against blind buying, but it should be noted it can be had for around $30 USD nowadays.

Initial impression: I only just got a bottle of this today, along with Cedar Essence. Based on my initial smell off a piece of paper, I decided to spray this one on skin while at home (after work) to test. As usual, the best test is fresh out of the shower and a clean pallet/skin (some scents really take on a whole new meaning this way, even more so if you can abstain from using any fragrances at all for several days), but for a general decent impression, this works too.
Now I am not the best at distinguishing specific notes (some notes more than others, of course), but what I am pretty good at doing is figuring out what fragrances remind me of. With my ongoing collection (and that is not to show all the hundreds of samples I have also tried), it’s really difficult for me to smell a new fragrance and not immediately relate it to something I have already smelled before or own.
Amber Essence almost caught me off guard, it seemed only mildly familiar, but at the same time extremely familiar. I wasn’t sure if I liked it or disliked it. Then of course the realization hit me like a ton of bricks, now I cannot smell it without smelling the fragrance it reminds me of.
To my nose, Amber Essence is extremely similar to 1 Million Absolutely Gold. And by similar, I mean they smell enough alike that an untrained nose probably couldn’t tell the difference. Much in the same way that the most popular Aventus clones smell like Aventus, it’s not exactly like it, and there is tons of subtle differences if you really dive deep into the scents, but the overall picture is that they are the same.
The only major difference I can notice right now is that Amber Essence is more of a “toned down/light” version of Absolutely Gold (since AG is a pure perfume concentration). But Amber Essence does seem to get a lot louder once it starts to dry down (opening was actually quite soft, didn’t really start noticing the scent strongly until 15-20 minuets or so, which is really odd).
Also this is not the bubblegum similarity to 1 million (as Absolutely Gold really doesn’t have that, unlike the original), but more along the lines of the dryer-sheet and bright floral smell that Absolutely Gold has strongly. To me it’s quite unique and I do enjoy the smell. And I look forward to eventually trying this on for work (the ultimate test for me).

More like Ambroxan Essence, although not listed. I was expecting amber more along the lines of dsquared potion or something traditional like that. Not for me.

smells great. A very masculine Amber with woody and musky notes. Tried this on and was amazed by the opening but the performance on this is very poor. Stays close to the skin and needs to be oversprayed. The scent is a love but performance is a major disappointment. Would work very well as a formal evening time fragrance. The one Edp lasts much longer than this.
