Acabo de probarlo en el brazo. Excelente perfume que huele a nicho. Por lejos lo mejor de Zara!!!!!!!

sadly, this is now discontinued…

After reading all these reviews, I am now dying to try it. Unfortunately, even though Zara is present in Venezuela as a store, they don’t sell their fragrances in this country, so I guess I’m going to have to wait and see if I have a chance to travel abroad, either Brazil, or Spain =(

I agree with imgcas*. It’s the best in the Zara line (at least among those I tested) and it smells niche.
I think Zara is trying to state that being affordable and being simple don’t lead to tasteless things. Oh, on the contrary. I’m a Zara fan, and I believe there’s nothing less tasteless than their clothing lines. Anyway, I doubt that anyone will find a better perfume than Zara’s Ambar within its price range (Cuba Gold, maybe?).
In Brazil, I pay around US$100 for a 50ml bottle of Givenchy’s Gentleman, which is my favorite of all. Zara’s Ambar, which can match GG in terms of quality and of “smelling like a million bucks”, costs around US$20 (a 50ml bottle).
This scent reminds me a lot of my grandma. (Rest in peace, grandma). She used to have a niche signature scent, based on ambar and spices, just like this one. Maybe I should make it my personal odissey to find out her exact fav frag. 🙂
* imgcas, if it makes you feel better, I can try and buy it in Brazil. Zara is present in a lot of countries, as far as I know.

All about amber! To me, this Ambar is very similar to YSL’s Opium pour homme. Both are so wonderful. Zara Ambar has a really great longervity, though it’s just considered as a cologne. Ambar has a very very reasonable price, but it smell so luxerious. Zara Ambar is warm, real and attractive.

I agree, it’s a fragrance worth attention! The smell of amber in Ambar is neither too sweet, nor too spicy or too strong. It is a perfectly blended and balanced fragrance with an amazing staying power. A must try!

Wonderful scent from Puig Group.
This is the best among the Zara line.
It’s not only amber. According to the box, there is lavender in the top notes, coriander (and I get other spices) in the middle and amber and cedarwood in the base.
It starts freshly ambery. Lavender is hardly noticeable but it gives some freshness to the scent. Soon all you can get is a lot of spices and amber.
Lasting power and sillage are impressive, and it’s unexpensive. And it smells niche!
In fact it’s quite similar to Costume National 21, which is another great amber scent.
I wish a lot of people from out of Spain could try it, because it’s an excelent, warm perfume for women and men.
