Amazing eau de parfum was my contribution for the Outlaw Perfume Project sponsored by the Natural Perfumers Guild.
Amazing eau de parfum a floral chypre started out with oakmoss absolute and then proceeded to go off in all directions…what an outlaw! It contains jasmine grandiflorum, cassie absolute, centifolia rose absolute, rose damask otto, lemon verbena, galbanum, muhuhu, bergamot, rhododendron, cinnamon leaf, ginger, more citrus, and spice and all things outrageous…out of control. Amazing was launched in 2010. The nose behind this fragrance is JoAnne Bassett.

I am in love! This aptly named perfume is one of the most beautiful scents that I have ever experienced!! On my skin, this fragrance opens with a beautiful citrusy oakmoss accord. It is reminiscent of everything that I love about the classic perfumes of my childhood memories. A beautiful benzoin sweetness mixes in, along with a rich spiciness of ginger and cinnamon. This part of the fragrance feels like a warm, comforting embrace. Then a beautiful floral accord blooms forth, with fragrant jasmine. This part of the fragrance feels light and joyous. I am particularly fond of rich spicy fall/winter scents and I usually spend most of my triple digit summers longing for the cool days that I can wear them with abandon once again. I believe that this is my perfect year-round spicy fragrance. The best part of this fragrance is that the perfumer is based only about an hour away from me. Obviously, I need to make a trip to her studio soon.
Kentavr-10 – :
This is a unisex fragrance and to me, it was far more masculine than feminine. It’s difficult to decide if I liked it or not-on me, no, but on a man? I want to see how it would react so I’ll wait for a willing volunteer!
Its a very well balanced fragrance with an initial hint of citrus, but this soon settled (or rather, expanded!) into a rich and deep spicy note, almost like gingerbread only less sweet. There’s floral in there, but no sweetness at all-to me this was masculine and muscular. It was woody, earthy and sensual. I do wear the other half’s aftershaves and colognes sometimes, but this was a little too full-on for me. I can appreciate its style, its richness and the quality of the ingredients, but it wasn’t for me.
Longevity is good at around 5 hours (worn on a warm and humid day), and slllage is minimal.
