This turned a bit weird on me at the beginning, after the citrus I could smell strong wood notes and licorice (it’s not the first time I smell licorice in a perfume which isn’t supposed to contain it, it must be my skin). It really reminded me of the smell of the air in winter nights in the mountains. After a while though I started smelling powdery hazelnuts and vanilla. Quite a strange fragrance on my skin, more like a licorice-nut-vanilla scent.
Update: I hate it on my skin, unfortunately. I just can’t smell the gourmand-nutella aspects of it, I just smell strong citrus, licorice, roasted almost salty hazelnuts and vanilla. The drydown is ok but it’s not enough to make me like it.
Update 2: I have tried it again, I want to like it but I just don’t. Strangely enough every time I smell it, it is different. This time it was basically licorice and wood with a hint of vanilla. I almost couldn’t smell the hazelnuts at all! Not for me

Fragrance Review For All’Olio Di Argan L’Erbolario
    Top Notes: Bergamot Lemon
Middle Notes: Jasmine Lily of the Valley
Base Notes: Amber Hazelnut Vanilla Musk
The name in Italian translate to Argan Oil, which I rather hoped this would smell like. I have actual argan oil and argan oil based hair products. Oil from the argan tree is very good at strengthening human hair. This is only slightly like argan oil but it’s more of a nutty, little bit woodsy argan and hazel nut. It’s Oriental and aromatic, very much a nut scent. It smells at first like lemon then like roasted nuts, like a delicious vanilla and cacao or coffee, very much a mixture of vanilla, nuts, coffee, chocolate, argan, wood and hazel nut. It smells like the inside of a cabin in the woods where you’re gorging on delicious hazel nut chocolate dessert. I was unable to pick up on the scent of flowers which include lily of the valley and jasmine. The lily of the valley is there but it’s only a touch. Green and flowery but not at all a floral fragrance. This is a gourmand scent but in a more realistic sense and very true to hazel nut and argan tree.

This is a VERY real hazelnut with a hint of chocolate. Rather Nutella-like. Absolutely delectable. When it dries down it turns into a vanilla hazelnut swirl coffee scent on my skin. That being said, I do seem to prefer the super-sweet hazelnut marshmallow of Just Cavalli Gold, so if you like the gourmand aspect of this one and want the sweetness amped up ten times, do try that one.

It is soooo good!!!!!! Not just a Chocolover replacement, but a beautiful fragrance. Creamy, milky hazelnut with a hint of chocolate. It is not sickly sweet and childish. It is more sophisticated. A serious gourmand.
On my skin it is longlasting. I absolutely love it!!!!!

    Simple and comforting hazelnut.
This is a very nice but simple scent. Linear hazelnut and vanilla with a slightly powdery dry down. Hazelnuts are my favorite nuts, it isn’t such a commonly used note so I really like it in this one. I enjoy using this edt in winter days for daily use. It is too naive for evening and night in my opinion, unless you are taking it to sleep to comfort you in the cold nights.
Doesn’t last too long which is a pitty, sillage is average.

I was looking for something sweet, good for autumn, not expensive…I decided to buy this and I’m really happy about my purchase! This fragrance is really comfortable, make me feel warm and think about Christmas! The price (in Italy) is ok and the stayng power is about 4 hours…

Warm hazelnut milk with a hint of vanilla. Cozy and delicious to curl up with your sweetie. Easy to enjoy.

This wasn’t what I was expecting, but it’s still so lovely. I was thinking candy nuts and creamy vanilla, but this fragrance is pretty dry, not super sweet, and powdery. Like others, I do find it comforting.
The hazelnuts smell unsalted and roasted to me, nothing sweet about them. The vanilla is milky and powdery with some sweetness.
I wore this to work and found it really enjoyable, I think this is a good sweet/gourmand kind of fragrance to wear to somewhere in closer settings. There is something a bit “baby soft” about this fragrance.
Very lovely, my 3rd time wearing it and I’m always really pleased. The lasting power isn’t too super is the only downfall, need to bring this one in my purse for a touch up half way through the day.

Upon spraying, All’Olio di Argan has a sort of cinnamon bun smell, like a diluted Demeter Popcorn or the opening of Jeux de Peau. But it quickly settles down into a roasted nut smell. It doesn’t have much chocolate nuance like The Body Shop Brazil Nut. Instead, All’Olio di Argan is much more nutty and woody. There is also a smidgen of vanilla. Combined with the roasted nut smell, it makes me think of vanilla flavoured sunflower seeds, and a less caramelly and more sheer PG10 Aomassaï.
The sillage of All’Olio di Argan is moderate and the longevity is about 10 hours. Simplistic, but efficient for an occasional nut fix or for layering, especially considering the price. I’d recommend it as a lovely gourmand fragrance with a woody undertone.

Sweet innocence in a bottle. This is a feel-good scent, the olfactory equivalent of movies like “Sleepless in Seattle” and “You’ve Got Mail”. Sometimes that’s just what you need!

It’s an odd fragrance, very nutty, sweet but not cloying. Perfect for grey, cold, sad winter days. Very confortable.

I really like L’erbolario (looove Meharees!). And I adore hazelnuts. So naturally I had to test this new fragrance. It smells exactly like hazelnut milk (from Alpro- if anyone cares) very hazelnutty- no doubt about that, with medium sweet vanilla, and a very edible chocolatey note. And although it’s very delicious and comforting, I realise it’s something I’d rather drink than wear. I was hoping for a more serious hazelnut interpretation. But I can’t say I hate this at all. It’s very foody and it might appeal to some gourmand lovers.

I smelled it yesterday on my friend…and I made a lot of compliment about it. It’s sweet but not in a childish way, I can say it’s sophisticated for some reasons. Is comfy, perfect for this period, early autumn. I absolutely want to try this on my self, and hope it will give me the same wonderful sensation, as I felt yesterday!

This one smells exactly like pancakes with Nutella. For me, this is too much associated with food. To be honest, even if i do love pancakes with nutella, I don’t want to smell like them and can’t understand why anyone would like to do so?

This Fragrance smells like buttery,(like nutty clarified butter), powdery, vanilla, sugary hazelnut coffee with a biscotti on the side (if that makes any sense). Am happy with my blind buy.

Very strange, nutty and absolutely different, and in a good way!!!I’ ve smeled it today, it’ s warm, deep and exotic, something never smelled before..I can detect a note of coffe even if there’ s no coffe in it. I m an italian girl and for me this is the pleasant smell of a very sugared expresso whith a hint of milk! FOR GOURMAND LOVERS!!!

Starts almost cheerfully, with gourmet hazelnut, I thought that it will remain so simple, but quickly settles on the skin with dominant vanilla and beautiful powdery trail. For me it is not unisex, but real woman’s, quite steady. Hazelnut is felt all the way, but it’s much more subtle after half an hour. There is some simplicity of celebrity scents in it, but all blended with a powerful Angel, that same vibe. A must try, it’s different, indeed. Love it!

Very nutty, hazelnut with powdery vanilla. I think it’s very cosy and confortable, not sickly sweet. I’ve been waiting for this perfume, Olio di Argan body care is one of the best from Erbolario and now I could buy the fragrance! I’ll get it for the next autumn/winter with Ambraliquida and Meharees!
