Description

Alien spreads a aura, and it claims the right to that already by its name. Thirteen years after the huge success of Angel, Thierry Mugler has decided to challenge the perfumery world once again.

Alien is a magic elixir captured in a bottle in the shape of a strange object, reminiscent of a philosophers’ stone or some warlock object of a deep and mysterious purple color. Its woman has to be a bit of a witch.

The creators of Alien based the composition on three main lines: warm white amber in the base, woodsy notes in the heart, and sunny Indian jasmine in the top.

Alien was launched in 2005. Alien was created by Dominique Ropion and Laurent Bruyere.

As a bloke wearing this I get more ‘what is that!’ Interest from other blokes than any male orientated scents. Weird but ok I’ll take any compliment

Alien smells exactly like what you’d expect a fragrance called Alien to smell like – unique, magical, otherworldly and divine. Having heard this fragrance being raved about on here I picked up a bottle in 2016, I love really strong, long-lasting fragrances so this was right up my alley. Have had numerous compliments on it, It’s almost an “attention-seeking” fragrance as it draws people in and it stays on for hours it will also stick to your clothes – so keep that in mind. It’s a gorgeous jasmine scent, its scent is deep, rich and full of personality.
Gorgeous bottle and suits the vibe of Alien. Has become my new staple scent. Mr Mugler has created a divine perfume that really sets itself apart from all others.

What an opening I must say! It quickly captures you, wraps you in magic and enslaves you. But it’s not just about the opening, it lingers on its powerful and magnetic spell for hours (around 6 hrs on my skin) and the dry down is also romantic and beautiful. I can smell white jasmine equivalent flowers on top and strong but it’s not a floral. I can smell angelic notes that I can’t tell that go along with it. It’s unique like all other Muglers, and there are some laboratory notes for sure but it’s evoking the senses, very confident, definitely feminine and enslaving. No vanilla here, this is sweet but not sugary.
Good longevity and sillage. I just wish fewer people preferred it so I could be unique as it is..

I’m writing a second review because some time has passed and yes, I am still head over heels in love with Alien. It’s magnetic. It is a drug. It does things to me that I imagine hard drugs could do, in terms of how it awakens my imagination.
It is a fragrance I’ve not tired from in nearly 8 years. It’s a jewel, to me. It smells how I imagine a deep, dark emerald or sapphire to smell. It doesn’t matter when or where I wear it- it mystifies. When I wear Alien, I feel as though I’ve applied a skin or an avatar… another version of myself—a version that exists perhaps in another dimension, with a different, more rebellious set of life experiences, who lives life more on the edge, embracing her deepest, darkest side at all times.
It works beautifully on me in a dark room- think concerts, nightclubs, burlesque shows, evening adventures with friends in the city.
It works equally beautifully on me in the daytime. It becomes a clean and sunny white floral. It somehow also recalls for me the scent of artificial grape. In particular, when I was seven years old, I broke my right arm after tripping over a tent I had just pitched with my friends in the backyard. The cast they applied at the hospital was purple, and smelled of artificial grape. All of my friends at school drew pictures on it for me and it was so much fun to go around saying “sniff! It smells like grape crush!’ I have loved that smell ever since, and Alien is a bottle of that memory, interlaced with scent memories of my more mature life experiences.
At first I thought the grape must be power of suggestion due to the bottle- but I kept smelling grape even when I smelled it on other people. In fact, I came on to this website and scoured through reviews to see if anyone else noticed the grape- and sure enough, many do.
Alien. I love you. I am in love with you. I am you. You are me. We are magic.

I was talking yesterday with some friends that Alien has this unique quality about it that it PULLS you towards it in an irresistible way, it’s hypnotizing. Like a magnet or a black hole, it wants to suck you in completely, to absorb you. Some perfumes have the “Keep a polite distance and smell from afar” appeal when you wear them, this is the complete opposite.
This will become the new Chanel 5, mark my words. Might sound like blasphemy, but just wait and see.

A classy floral, sensual but too widespread. I understand it even if a girl wears it at 50 meters. It remains a wonderful fragrance. Very persistent and with a particular evolution.

About this pearl, everything has been widely, excellently exposed here.
I found a sample of Alien in a magazine to which, initially, I reserved little importance.
There by little, those two sprays became magnetic and hypnotized me.
Bewitching. All my other words are superfluous.

It took me a long time to fall in love with this, but finally it clicked & I now have this & the EDT which is quite different. This stays linear on me once its settled after the first 10 mins after spraying. I wont be in the mood for it every day but on a cold wet day it is really cheering me up. My husband loves it (he always liked Angel on me, worn it for years). It is not a blind buy, can take a while to love it.

Alien I want to love you so badly. Today was the third time I tested this scent on my skin. It’s not great on me. It’s cold and uninviting. Just okay. Not life altering. My partner doesn’t like it so I don’t think I’ll be testing you again.
Angel is worse. I’m not even going to write a review on the Angel page. Angel is just SO much patchouli.

One of my friends used to wear this as a signature scent. I met a few people wearing this and I found it absolutely stunning every time, on every one of them. I haven`t found any other scent that can do that, that smells amazing on everyone who wears it. Beautiful floral!

This one had a funny “first impression” on me after i blind bought it. At the first sniff i gagged so badly, i hated it!
But the funny thing was at the second day i felt something interessting about it.. i sniffed and sniffed on it everytime i walked passed by the bottle..
The 3day i couldnt get enough of it and sprayed it on me 3 times and felt in love with it!

I love this. My cat, however, doesn’t. Or at least, he glares at me when I wear it. Wide open eyes, almost shock.

Alien has the purity and roundness of a soliflore, but appropriately, not one I have ever smelled in this world. This was an instant like for me. Possesses something of the dollhead effect.

Six years ago, my name was placed in a ballot box for a drawing. The drawing was a basket of Alien perfume, lotion and cream. This was the very first time I wore the perfume. The next morning I got up showered, put on some of the Alien cream and sprayed a little of the perfume on. It had a soft smell to it, not over powering, causing me to sneeze. It seem like every place I went that day I was either told I smell good and or ask what are you wearing? I’ve purchased several bottles of Alien here in the U.S. I just so happen to be in Aruba and one of the perfume stores had the Alien on sale. I was shocked and very strange to see Alien at 50%, so I purchased a bottle. Nassau, I purchased Alien and Alien Muse. My only question about the Alien product is, If Alien is manufactured here in the U.S., is there more alcohol than the Alien manufactured in Paris, that has more oil and last on your body longer? I was surprise that I purchased Alien and Muse.

This perfume threw me for a loop, and though I ended up not liking it very much, I can honestly say that I do see what could give it a cult following. Largely my dislike of it was down to my chemistry and the way it worked with the perfume (or didn’t work with it).
Alien, altogether, when I sprayed it, lacked the depth I had hoped for. All I got was cold jasmine tea. A little bit bitter, a cold white floral. During the course of the following twenty minutes, a menthol-like smell morphed from it, which I did not like in the slightest, and it didn’t wear down until about an hour after application.
After that, some of the amber made itself known, but no woods. The amber made it a little warmer and richer, and a bit sweeter, but altogether, Alien’s composition, on me, did not impress me. But if you have the good graces of this perfume smelling more balanced and certain notes not lost on you, then you’re lucky. I just don’t think my chemistry was right for the composition.
What this DOES have going for it, is that it has massive sillage, and this lasted on my skin well over twelve hours. So if this works on you, you also won’t be disappointed by the longevity. If you like very jasmine-heavy fragrances, give this a try, but don’t blind buy it!

Loooove This one. So simple notes and yet so complicated. Strong silage and amazing longevity. Feminine, clean and attractive. Fills a room

What can I say about Alien? Well it has changed my life really. I use it mostly for special occasions since this smell is so potent and it’s easily recognised that it makes my special memories that much stronger. Alien is a masterpiece, it’s very sexy and I adore it! It’s also proof that less is more since it has only 3 notes yet it has a complexity to it. LOVE IT.

  20. :

Tried it today. Not a bad scent, I love amber and white florals but not woodsy notes. So, I wouldn’t buy it. I prefer Hypnotic Poison. Sillage is great, and it’s long-lasting.

  21. :

I’m afraid this is a fragrance that for me will remain best admired from afar, best experienced in the air as someone walks by, and never ever on my own skin.
I’d call this a modern classic, something anyone seeking to expand their fruity-floral-fruitchouli-vanilla-syrup odor palate should experience and judge for themselves. Alien truly is its own experience.
Despite this not being my kind of fragrance, the quality is definitely there. Longevity, projection, this thing is going to enter the room before you do and stick around long after you are gone.

  22. :

Bought as a blind buy and upon first impression, I was reminded of Burberry London for women. The more I wear it and smell it, the more I’m reminded of Poison from back in the day. It’s an interesting scent, pretty strong and it lasted a long time. I can see where it wouldn’t be for every body. It’s overpowering at times, but not unpleasant. I’m still in the honeymoon stage is with this scent, so I should come back and update after a while.

I’m introvert and I like it.
This one surprisingly outclasses TF Black orchid in terms of sillage and longevity.
On my skin it has dried down into sugary sweet woody jasmine scent, very straightforward.

What to say about this perfume? My dad once dated an escort (or an ex-escort, it was complicated apparently?) who used this one exclusively when it came out. Now, I don’t know what came first, the chicken or the egg, but even a whiff of this scent makes me recoil in disgust. I associate it with promiscuity, but like I said, I don’t know if it’s the scent or the person who wore this scent that created that particular image in my head (for reference, my mother’s signature scent is JPG Classique EDP, which I associate with class, but again, chicken or the egg?)

Alien is such a nice , pleasant woody-jasmine scent on me. I personally loves every fragrance that have jasmine in the combination. But for the beautiful flacon like the name of Alien name actually i expect something more unique, more interesting and i don’t know but something different.

Some people here say “you either ALIEN or ANGEL lover”. Nonsense. I love ALIEN and ANGEL. ANGEL is my biggest love. To my nose ANGEL is like “OMG!” like being on seventh heaven after eating a very delicious dessert, ALIEN – like “COOL” like after inhaling some exotic incense. And I love Thierry Mugler for giving us such unique and enchanting fragrances.

It’s strong, warm, sexy, cozy like a hug, unforgettable and different from all others perfumes… love it or hate it, nothing else….
Ps if you are shy, start running away it’s not for you!!!!

What can I say? This has been a staple in my fragrance wardrobe since college (or about 10 years ago, give or take a few years). I remember walking through the mall my Freshman year and the purple bottle caught my eye. I did one of those *just going to spray quickly but keep walking so a sales associate doesn’t get his or her hopes up* moves and went about my afternoon with my mom.
Later at lunch I kept getting wafts and wafts of this scent. My mom kept exclaiming at how “clean” it smelled to her. CLEAN?! To me it smelled like the sexiest perfume I had ever smelled – fresh but deep, fizzy but natural. A compliment from a random stranger sealed the deal: my broke butt was going to save up for this and buy it. I’m sure I made my nose raw by how much I mashed it into my flannel shirt that day.
And buy it I did. I got a small 30ml bottle that I went through in less than a few weeks which, looking back, you likely could have smelled me coming from a mile away. I’ve confinued to purchase since then and still receive compliments.
There’s a reason Alien is so popular. It’s STRONG and SEXY. You definitely get a good bang for your buck (that’s for sure!!) as it lasts ages on the skin. And I’m thankful this one works for me. I love it in this form and in all the flankers, too.

Now I met this gem this year and It was love at first sniff. It definitely dethroned my beloved Coco Chanel Mademoiselle, which has been my favorite since 2011.I still find it awesome and will be with me for as long as possible. But Alien is just beautiful. So unique, after having smelled hundreds of perfumes I can claim that it is one of a kind. It’s bold, sweet, overpowering (in the best way possible) ,it should have been named Queen or Queen bee as you meet her and will swear your loyalty and service to her. My first Mugler ,but most definitely not the last. I own Womanity and will be purchasing Aura ,Angel and Angel muse ,too. My most favorite house of all time.
Sillage and longevity are outstanding with all Mugler creations and Alien is no different.
It has a smell that is addictive to me. Love it.

My signature perfume. So mystical and hypnotic it’s unreal. By far the best smell I have ever tried.

  35. :

I smelled this for the first time last night! I went clubbing and a friend was smelling absolutely amazing, this super strong, uncommon and remarkable scent that made me ask what is she wearing. It was Alien. Did not try this before because I don’t like the bottle. I love it and I’m going to get it for myself.
Edit: Just got it! Oh boy, this perfume is insanely sexy ! A puff of it just to do something as mundane as a trip to the grocery store makes me feel like a diva on to conquering the world. (I know, I know, it’s not stylish or classy to wear this during the day when doing nothing special, this is a glamorous strong night time perfume. But I DON’T CARE! I wear it for my own pleasure, not when “I’m supposed to” )
I gave up buying the shoe (Good Girl) and La vie est Belle because they are way too popular and I didn’t like them AS much. But Alien…is another story.
It’s an absolute modern masterpiece and I am sure will stand the test of time. In 50 years time it will be in very high regard.

  36. :

    3 out of 5

I am not a Mugler perfume fan by any stretch of the imagination (I experienced Angel when it was first released and my young nose was traumatized LOL), but I have to say Alien is the one scent from this house that I can tolerate. It smells like Angel went through a perfume strainer, leaving behind the best bits (the jasmine, amber and whatever other aromachemicals make up the Angel DNA) and then those bits were amplified by 100x because, hey, it’s Mugler. Certainly not a scent for me (I can’t deal with jasmine because it always smells poopy/bad breath to my nose except the night blooming variety used in Goldea The Roman Night), but I can see the appeal for someone who appreciates white florals with an interesting twist.

  37. :

    5 out of 5

In cold weather it’s sophisticated, reserved, dignified, distinguished.
In warm weather it’s lush, sensual, intoxicating, hypnotic.
It has two completely different personalities and I’m in love with both of them.

  38. :

    5 out of 5

Every single time I apply this, the very first thing I smell is sunscreen. Some people think cilantro tastes soapy – I think that super concentrated jasmine smells like SPF 50.
But once that Coppertone note mellows out, it morphs into a smooth, creamy, amber-jasmine scent that is undeniably interesting, yet inoffensive. It is strong, so spray sparingly! Unless you plan on making this your signature scent, the 1 oz bottle should be enough to last a lifetime – which is nice, cos it’s the prettiest bottle, anyway.
The only letdown is that I expected something just a bit more unusual from a fragrance that calls itself “Alien.” (I’d like to see a niche house do their take on it.) This perfume is definitely a terrestrial life form, but it’s a really pretty one, so I’ll let it slide.

  39. :

    5 out of 5

Alien is gorgeous floral perfume. It starts with cool menthol, later comes sweet jasmine and honey. After few hours it becomes warmer, that could be jasmine and amber. But menthol still stays around and all scent is transparent see-through type when you can sense notes not in traditional pyramid but in transparent layers. It can be fresh clean AND sweet at the same time. It radiates sex, nothing else to add.

  40. :

    4 out of 5

Last summer, my jasmine plant bloomed for far shorter a period than I’d hoped. In my disappointment, I set out to buy the most jasmine-y jasmine perfume I could find. I settled on Alien.
And oh boy. I mean, I love it, but wow.
Alien is just SO much. SO big! This winter, just once, I did 2 sprays instead of the usual and very sensible 1, and I felt like I was taking up twice as much room wherever I went. Never again. 1 spray under your top leaves a noticeable cloud of concentrated, undeniable jasmine in your trail, pretty much all day long.
Which is why I don’t really understand the reviews describing Alien as weird, or indescribable. Because it’s jasmine! I could understand being a little bit mystified if you’ve never smelled jasmine before, but surely there’s no mistaking Alien for anything BUT jasmine?
To be clear: it’s a massive jasmine. It’s jasmine turned up to 11 with the dial superglued stuck forever. It’s unnaturally intense. But it’s still jasmine! Jasmine isn’t otherworldly. It’s earthly!
The only narrative I can think of that would make the name ‘Alien’ somewhat appropriate would be something ridiculous about an advanced alien species creating an Earth-themed theme park planet where everything is exaggerated, all colors are brighter, all sounds are louder, all scents are far more intense.
Conclusion: Try it first. Even if you think you’d love a jasmine perfume. I understand why some people get headachey around Alien. It’s relentless and the sillage is hilariously bold.
But do try it. It’s an experience. 🙂

  41. :

    5 out of 5

So I’m new to the alien bandwagon. I love strong heavy lasting floral perfumes so when I read about this I thought this is something I will love. Now I tried this twice now and I absolutely adore the smell no doubt it is a divine perfume. The only issue I have with it is it doesn’t feel as strong and lasting as it’s been quoted in all the reviews. I must have sprayed at least 8 to 10 sprays at the shop and although I could smell it most of the afternoon it wasn’t as strong as I thought it would be. Granted it could be my skin as I have dry skin that doesn’t hold perfume too well but has this been reformulated by any chance? Does anyone know and has anyone worn this for years to make a comment on that I would be interested to know. Overall I think I would happily buy a bottle it is very expensive so that’s a little hard to swallow but it’s so lovely, I just wish it was even stronger.

  42. :

    3 out of 5

Edit: Got new samples of this and they must have reformulated it recently. There’s less ethereal jasmine and it’s more musky/flat, that’s too bad. I’d still wear it though.
Like others said, the name is accurate. What’s great about alien is it’s uniqueness, calm-dark-purple boldness, and its cosmic (and arguably plastic-esque lol) interpretation of jasmine. The simplest way to describe it is *lots* of sparkling-dark (like the night sky, if that makes sense to you), floral-sweet (in comparison to edible-sweet, vanilla etc) jasmine with a soothing magic amber-woody base. Smells pretty uniform throughout the drydown, just gets a tiny bit less super intense jasmine (it gets sweeter and less heady) and more sweet woody-amber, which I like. It’s ultimately dominated by it’s characteristic jasmine.
Definitely a hit or miss with a lot of people because of how deep it is. They just can’t handle the #deepness lmao. Just kidding, I just don’t think people who like really light, fresh, clean perfumes will wanna wear this. Not saying it’s dirty; it’s just heavy. The jasmine is actually pretty refreshing as long as it’s not oversprayed. Definitely try this out though regardless of your preferences because it’s really cool.
Looong longevity, huuuge sillage. Although it’s so heavy, I actually like wearing it in hot weather, just SUPER lightly, like just one spray on wrist and pat on neck. It definitely shines in cooler weather and at night though. I’ve gotten soooo many compliments while wearing it, like random people saying I smelled amazing. I bet a lot of people didn’t like it too lol.
Can’t say there’s much that I’d change about this. It’s not super synthetic like a cheap perfume, but it does smell slightly synthetic to people who know how natural oils smell. But it’s character makes up for it and to me (someone who prefers natural scents) makes it wearable. Overall I love it! More galactic perfumes please!
    Composition: 4.5/5, Quality: 4/5

  43. :

    3 out of 5

Love the smell of it, but I’m afraid the reformulation killed the sillage and longevity, it is barely a skin scent on myself which is quite disappointing since everyone was raving about Alien being one of the strongest and most long lasting fragrance ever. If it could go back to the old formula it would be my favourite fragrance, but the current one is not Wirth the prize due to such a poor performance.

  44. :

    3 out of 5

Since Alien came out, i’m so in love with this perfume! Always a winner in my book. I think it is perfect for the colder weather, as i find it to become cloying and heavy in the summer. The opening i find a bit minty and then it settles into this creamy, but still fresh yasmin. Pretty strong, so don’t “overspray” yourself. Guaranteed compliments, and my boyfriend loves it on me!

  45. :

    4 out of 5

To me, this is a heavy oriental with sweet notes. If there’s one thing Mugler does right, it’s make perfumes that stick around. We’re talking still going strong a day later. I don’t smell enough vanilla in this to actually like it.

  46. :

    5 out of 5

Take a rich jasmine note, shear off its rough (indolic, green) edges, hook it up to an outdoor amplifier, and overlay it with a gauzy, vanillic amber accord that has roughly the half-life of plutonium. That’s Alien. For what it is, it’s great, and even slightly narcotic under the right conditions. If you’re a fan of the Mugler style – ie. “Go Big or Go Home” – and if every jasmine perfume you’ve come across so far has seemed just a tad restrained for your liking, Alien is nothing short of a must-sniff. Run, don’t walk. For others….well. Spray at your peril. This alien doesn’t come in peace.

  47. :

This reminds me alot of Poison, frankly. It screams purple- love that plum (smells more grape-like to me but whatever). I would love a bottle of this myself, it’s really unique.

I’ve had this perfume long enough to feel ready to write a review. This perfume was actually my first, the one that led me down the path of perfume addiction. I’ve also tried enough perfumes since to realize that there are no other perfumes like this. As others have said, it is a strong perfume. It’s the signature scent of the dauntless and daring woman. The jasmine and wood notes can be smelled and the amber is sensed.

This sillage is god…I’ve smelt it everyday, everywhere, any time and yet im not tired of it.still when someone who wears this passes by me I want to smell it again & again…

This is absolutely the best perfume. Heavy and warming, with a huge silage. Cannot wear this sparingly.

This smells exactly like my Aunt’s fresh jasmine shrubs that she planted outside her house this spring. Such a rich, opulent and heady scent. It doesn’t go indolic, it’s not animalic. I don’t get much amber/woody notes either. It’s just a lush fresh blooming jasmine. Super amazing projection and longevity though. This lasted through my shower.

  52. :

    5 out of 5

It is a masterpiece. It is indeed “alien” but sensual and intoxicating. I bought a 0.5 oz for my cousin and she fell in love with it. I think I established her signature scent. This is for a girl who isn’t afraid to be bold, so I knew it would fit her. It’s strong, sweet and floral – it can be suffocating so two sprays is more than enough. Alien carries a kind of “bi-polar”vibe. It’s cold then warm, excessively sweet then musky, aggressive then serene. Very captivating and mysterious- it leaves an impression.

  53. :

I love Alien so much so I own 3 other versions of it because I adore it. The Jasmine in this is my favorite. Plus I love loud scents with good sillage. This even lasts for hours to almost a day. I love how potent this is and I think it smells just divine. To me its one of the best sambac jasmine scents I’ve smelled. Its such an intoxicating, narcotic white floral. Love!

  54. :

    5 out of 5

I didn’t get any headiness, vanilla, or oriental vibe. It could just be that I have lots of heavy orientals and woody orientals, and this would smell heavier if I didn’t.
I don’t get jasmine specifically. Maybe the other notes are there after all, just camouflaging the jasmine? As things are, the overall effect is a pleasant floral bouquet.
EDIT: The bottle drove me crazy until I realized it kindof looks like the aliens from Fifth Element. Now I kindof like it.

I forgot just how magical this fragrance is!! People keep saying how wonderful I smell, and sometimes I forget what I am wearing until I catch a whiff of it. I actually enjoy wearing this and you don’t have to over spray this gem. Like I said its magical but it can be a beast in a good way with the Jasmine, White Floral, Amber, and Woody notes. This will always be in rotation in my fragrance collection. Dark and Sexy!!!

After an opening blast of mentholated, syrupy grape, my skin turns Alien into a cold, fresh, incredibly sweet jasmine. The sillage is simply enormous, enough that putting a tiny spritz on each wrist sent gusts of Alien to my nose while making tea in the kitchen. Beautiful; I will have to save up to upgrade my teeny sample to at least a full ounce. An ounce may still last me a lifetime…

It’s an original perfume, I like it and agree with Aiona’s review regarding the belonging of this perfume to the Dior’s Poison family, they are distant relatives.
It has a kind of a bitter opening, which then leaves space to the vanilla and sometimes to a sort of liquirice note.
It is very long lasting, and in my experience the evolution can change according to the conditions (temperature, etc.)
Definitely a rich scent, despite the apparently poor note pyramid!

I heard so much about Alien….or as I call her ‘Madam Alien’ for she is a fabulous Madam!
I am glad I waited to wear this fragrance because I think you need to have the right confidence when wearing this perfume. You need to be a madam yourself, of not caring whether you ‘love or dislike my fragrance dahling…. I am wearing it regardles’.
Sambac Jasmine is heaven for me, I love jasmine scents but the deep indolic cord of Sambac is something I am drawn to, and Madam Alien displays sambac jasmine at its best. The jasmine is rich and deep with the amber and woodsy notes. It opens to a sweet jasmine, this is when this fragrance can get overwhelming but wait for it to change. An hour later the sweetness is more subtle on my skin and the jasmine and amber meet (and have a good cocktail). It stays in this cord for about ….. 4-6hours maybe and then woodsy notes comes into the picture (for a late nightcap). 8 hours and this perfume stays close to the skin…. a close kiss can detect it.
Madam Alien for me is a Jasmine perfume masterpiece. This is also a perfume for all season for ‘she’ changes with the weather. I prefer to spray sparingly; 2 sprays the most, she is a Madam not a harlot for me anyway. Perfect for a date night or if you want to be introduced through your perfume. I can see Madam Alien turning into a classic perfume, along with the other greats — Shalimar, Chanel no.5, Samasara and the likes.

I want to repurchase my Black Orchid by Tom Ford, but in the end I brought this baby home yesterday. The store didn’t have any sample, so I bought it blindly and of course with help from you guys through your reviews.
If you are shy, introvert, don’t feel any comfortable become center of attention type.. This is not for you, because this is bold.
As people said, this is uniqe.
Sweet but harsh and dark in the same time.
I can’t identify the top notes, but as dry down I can smell powdery jasmine and lil touch of amber.
I sprayed it on my wrist and last for about 6 hours.
I think this can be a signature fragrance for woman around 20-30. I am 25, but I prefer something mature like Black Orchid by Tom Ford. Its worth to try anyway.

The name really suits this scent. I’m almost afraid of it. So beautiful, so strong, to me this is a statement scent. People will remember your scent if you wear this. I haven’t been blown away like this since I first smelled Hypnotic Poison a year ago. This is like no perfume I’ve ever smelled. So unique and special, ethereal, our of this world. I don’t understand how a scent can be so complex with only three notes. It’s very well blended. I can’t describe this perfume with words. I can see how some think it has a unisex vibe but to me this is very feminine. It has a grown up sweetness to it as well.
Not safe for blind buy but everyone should test this at least once. Longevity and sillage is very good, one spray is more than enough for me.

A year ago I never would have thought I’d be writing this review…
I emailed TM requesting samples recently in hopes of getting angel or angel muse. I didn’t but I received Alien and Aura I was initially disheartened but I’m never ungrateful so I thought I’d re test Alien. as of a year or so ago I did not like alien as I sampled it in store and it was to harsh and made me run for fresh air. BUT now a year or so later holy s**t it blew me away it’s beautiful and surprisingly calming scent for me I can’t get enough. I never understood why Alien
