I love original alien, so I was excited to try this one, especially because I also love sunessence and saw people here said it smells like it. And it does! Maybe with less lemon and more jasmine than sunessence. This is more creamy floral than sunessence’s lemon drop candy. This is kind of like a halfway point between original alien and eau extraordinaire. If you find alien too heavy but find ee too light, try this one. I voted “love”, it would be hard for me to choose between this and ee. I guess this makes me think more of spring where ee is more summer.

This is the latest addition to my small Alien family and I’m very happy with my acquisition. I also have the Extraordinaire and the Luminescente. They all have the Alien DNA, but this one is, in my opinion, most similar to the original. I only have a decant of the original Alien because it’s too strong for me. The Extraordinaire is a more citrusy floral with a hint of green. I also get a beautiful soft (but very brief) pepper note. The Luminescente is warmer and dryer with a lot of orange. The Sublime is beautiful, it’s a lot like the original Alien, but lighter and creamier. I guess the creaminess comes from the cashmeran and the vanilla, I got vanilla from the moment I sprayed it. It stays pretty linear and the sillage and the longevity are both excellent, I could still smell it after 8 hours.

I got this perfume for a bargain and I’m here reading about it for the first time. I’m hoping to love it. I have Alience Essence Absolue which I adore to bits…so much I can’t even wear it… Am hoping I won’t be disappointed. Will update later

I have experienced so many citrusy fragrances, but here 90% of the fragrance lemon, and the rest they kept it for some jasmine, it is definitely lighter than the original alien, great for summer!

I adored this on the tester strip at the store, but on me it’s much more citrus and something almost astringent and much less of the jasmine I love in the original Alien. Light and “summery” but not my jam at all. Oh well! This is why we test.

Smells very similar to Alien sunessence which I absolutely love! Softy and dreamy.

I´m perfectly surprised that this scent doesn´t change on me the whole time it lasts! It´s incredible, I think I never experienced it with any other fragrance :))
It´s starts like milky citrussy woody and a bit white floral scent and it ends like that….it is very interesting…not generic at all.
I love it, I had even compliments…but somehow I feel weird with it, cause I cannot smell myself behind it…I just feel the fragrance…for people who hate how the fragrances use to change on them, this is a save choice, cause if you like it at the begining, you will like it the whole time…but I wish I could feel a bit of my own smell and my chemistry mixed with this …cause that´s what in reality makes your smell unique and attractive 🙂

Far from intriguing Alien. I almost don’t feel it, comparing with original. Unexpected mess(((

There’s something bitter in this that reminds me of something burning almost. I think its the galbanum. I love that bitter edge. I only catch it when its far from my nose. Up close it smells like the original to me..

I have always appreciated the bombshell that is Alien. It’s a decadent floral that lingers and encapsulates your surroundings. But I have never been able to wear it…its just too strong.
    In comes Eau Sublime.
I was timid going in – afraid it would be another sillage explosion like the original. But after sniffing the sample tube and getting that delicious jasmine…I couldn’t resist. I sampled it on my skin and fell in LOVE.
This is a more wearable Alien, that’s for sure. But she has her own way about her. She’s warm and sparkly. Enveloping, but close to home. She feels like sunshine on a breezy, warm spring day.
Jasmine is still the star here, but she’s natural, slightly sweet and lingering. The tiare flower adds a warm, (almost!) beachy vibe, very carefree, but not careless. Eau Sublime is well blended and still holds an aura of sophistication. The cashmere is the perfect snuggly base. This is the perfume equivalent of being on a balcony overlooking a lush valley with sunshine on your skin.
I can’t wait to get my hands on a full bottle! It is just as gorgeous as the juice inside!

This is a much more wearable Alien for me, the extraordinaire version lacks the alien dna on dry down for me and the original I find just too much. This however is Alien’s tamed little sister and I’m loving it.

Alien was a signature of mine a few years ago, I even wore it through summer.
But my nose changed and it sometimes bothered me with its rich grapiness.
So I tried sublime and was very pleased as it is lighter and citrusy(I love citrus!)
It took all the elements I love in alien and put them together.
I smell mostly an array of citrus and jasmine.
I don’t smell any tiare thankfully and I don’t think this smells like extraordinaire, as when extraordinaire settles it smells light and powdery and lacking the alien dna.
Something I love about this is that it doesn’t change on my skin.
The citrus doesn’t disappear and it stays fresh and strong for hours.

I like it quite well. It’s fresh, a bit sweet and sunny at the same time. It’s an optimistic fragrance, smells uplifting and clean to me. Not necessarily a spring fragrance, but definitely something to wear at the beginning of the new year.
I sense jasmine and orange flower in it, and some tiare flower is also adding sweetness. Even sunny notes are present. A little bit of everything.
Smells so nice on paper, but needs further testing, because Alien fragrances can smell odd when I actually wear them.

The Alien flankers are admittedly becoming a little too predictable. I mean how many times can you twist the jasmine note from the original Alien?
Although some Alien flankers are quite watered down, I like Alien Eau Sublime for its stronger throw. This flanker is a lemony-jasmine version of the original with a touch more vanillic sweetness in the base.
The original Alien is a handful, and just like Angel, it’s a hard fragrance to wear. Alien Eau Sublime is a crowd-pleaser for the most part, toning down the aspects of Alien that were difficult, tuning into the sweeter, vanillary notes that tend to appeal more readily to the masses.
Alien Eau Sublime is marketed mostly as a warm weather alternative, however you could wear this all year round. I find this flanker similar to Alien Sunessence released in 2009. Both scents are summery, citrusy and sweet on the skin.
Whilst I do like Alien Eau Sublime, if given the opportunity to choose my favourite Alien flanker, I still prefer The Taste of Fragrance Alien for its sumptuous caramel accord.

Top notes smell like a lemon pie. Soft and delicious. Later there is more jasmine, tiare and vetiver so it feels like other Aliens, but refreshing citrus note makes all the difference, making this scent light and truly sublime. It’s the best Alien edition so far.
Update: Drydown is too woody for me though.

I was really excited for this fragrance, but upon smelling it i was disappointed. It has a very strong, suffocating, sharp/bitter smell. It almost made me choke. I was expecting a light, elegant fragrance such as alien eau extraordinaire as they both have similar notes. But to me, honestly, it just stinks. I think this is what the original alien would smell like after expiring…

This went horribly synthetic on my skin. I generally get along well with mugler…but not this time. The synthetic galbanum opens abrasive followed by a masculine vetiver component with minimal florals. It dries down with a vanilla cashmeran note. A man can easily pull this off. Felt very masculine on me.

Such a beautiful scent! If you like powdery scents, you will definitely enjoy this. Slightly different from the other Alien line but this is my favourite by far. This could be my new signature scent. Get your hands on this quickly because it’s a limited edition which makes me very sad.

Alien Eau Sublime is definitely the younger, prettier and less offensive sister to EDT. It is a lot lighter, fresher and more summery. It is perfect for hot summer days when you still want to wear alien without choking anybody, perfect for the office. Having said that, its silage and longevity are no where near to EDT.
I like the scent and the beautiful bottle, as the EDT gives me a headache. If you are not keen on Alien EDP or EDT and find it too intense – this is your chance to get to know and love the Alien.
However, if you own and/or are a fan of EDT, this is not worth adding to your collection.

I tested this on my skin so I thought I should review it since there aren’t many reviews so far 🙂
Alien is my signature, so I recognize the smell very clearly, and Alien Eau Sublime is very similar to Alien EDP but it’s much more citrusy, a bit lighter but not as light as Eau Extraordinaire. I also didn’t find Eau Extraordinaire similar to the original so if you want a brighter more citrusy ALIEN this is it!
It’s felt quite powerful for a fresh scent, not at all a skin scent for sure, and I imagine it would last quite a bit.
Overall, it’s Alien but with citruses and fresh notes, opens pretty sharp but softens with time, same as Alien does. I’m actually buying one for myself soon, even though I enjoy the original in any weather, this one can’t be missed!

This is my 4th version of Alien, the EDP, Absolue and Oud Majestic. I also have Eau Extraordinaire which I only got yesterday so cannot compare it to Eau Sublime just yet.
I find it to be a brighter, fresher and tangy version of the edp. It’s perfect for daytime as longevity and sillage are nowhere near the original but it is almost half the price so it won’t break the bank.
As Genny17 mentioned it drys down to Absolue, for me I noticed it after about 3 hours and I still get whiffs of it now, 5 hours after first spraying. I just wish the top /middle notes lasted longer as they are new to me and I like them. Ah well, time to respray.
Overall, it’s a like and I’m already considering a backup bottle!

Alien Eau Sublime is gorgeous, very similar to the EDP, it’s fresher and lighter.
Amazing jasmine, beautiful floral notes, same spicy-woody basenotes.
Perfect for warmer months, feminine, sexy and classy.
More wearable than the EDP (no strong opening notes).
Mr Ropion is one of my favorite noses. Another great job.
    Lovely.

Alien Eau Sublime Mugler same like Alien strong ,sexy , mysterious ,pretty and more fresh , for whom doesn’t have Alien i guess this one is a must have, luxurious <3

it’s been done by mugler before, this is nothing new. it really (to me) smells of an alien aqua chic. it’s pleasant but i won’t buy it because its no different to another version I’ve had twice before. disappointed but what can you do.
if you’re new to the mugler line you’ll probably like it because it is a nice scent.

  26. :

I tried it this morning and I am kind of puzzled Mugler came up with a flanker so similar to EDP with a bit of Essence absolue and Extraordinaire
It smells real nice and it has that bright summery vibe but for me who owns EFP and EDT plus Taste of fragrance I don’t feel this is different enough to purchase it
It is more a medley of the aliens, and solar notes are bright and luminous like tiare neroli , giving it a softness and airyness that maybe the edp doesn’t have.
Lovely , if you don’t own any Alien this is worth considering
For me , wouldn’t make sense.

  27. :

    Wow! What a gem!
It doesn’t particularly smell sunny to me but it is very summery which I guess mugler was getting at. It has the alien DNA but also has a beautiful mandarin orange smell added to it. It’s not heavy but it does project very well. It lasted on my skin 12 hours which is AMAZING for an EDT. I feel it does smell very similar to eau extraordinaire however this feels more refined.

Sorry to say it yet again, but I can’t help myself. There’s nothing absurd about the idea of the sun’s warmth changing the way things smell. Does anyone really expect a “sun fragrance note? Long before this effect was given a name, I thought certain perfumes smelled “sunny”.
I’m happy about this new edition. It seems to pick up where the “Sun Essences” of past years left of – a lighter Alien with loads of citrus. Maybe not ground-breaking but certainly lovely.

I feel like this is is a child-friendly Alien. The original and flankers I got are too heavy and sexy to be around kids in my opinion; and this is just perfect. It has the Alien DNA but much softer and the citrus reminds me of baby cologne. I only apply a couple if sprays on my hair as I don’t like smelling strong around my baby, and it just works.

It opens with Alien EDP mixed with a lime smelling citrus but quickly settles down. The jasmine stands out the most in my opinion. Pretty 🙂

And now we reached sheer madness having introduced solar notes for a perfume 🙂 I do have an idea of what a ‘solar’ quality, not note, would mean in a scent, but, dear God, actually introducing it as a note…hm… Let’s stay sane. You have to have a good sense of humor to appreciate this novelty 🙂

  37. :

I am so excited for this fragrance. The notes are similar to those of Alien Eau Extraordinaire (my favourite thanks to its optimistic, warm and seductive scent). I think this one will be similar to it, with a much more citrus-y feel, of course. Does anyone know the actual release date? Or at least the month?

We live in a world with people that can smell the sun
watch out for burnt nostril hair

Solar notes are in bright summery notes, like tiare, neroli, jasmine..Mugler does that to perfection.

  40. :

I find it rather hilarious that ‘solar notes’ are a thing, since the Sun is a big ball of gas (which generally don’t have a smell), and nobody has gotten close enough to know what it smells like.
