Description

Fragrant talisman Thierry Mugler Alien arrives in a new package and with new fragrant notes. It is announced by Goddess of the Sun dressed in golden clothes, seductive and powerful, giving shiny light to all women who choose it. The unusual aura it radiates glows from the heart of the gem designed like a palace from a fairy-tale.

The new Alien Eau de Toilette 2009 is the fourth in the line of Alien editions. The first version was presented in 2005, followed by two summer, limited editions, Eau Luminescente and Sunessence. The new Alien has the same flacon as summer edition and it arrives as amethyst crystal. Its energy and purity reflects on smooth surfaces, presenting the purest and the lightest notes of the composition.

Top notes of Alien Eau de Toilette 2009 bring us mandarin essences which tingle and wrap the aura just like sunlight of Mugler‘s goddess. Bitter accords of citruses’ skin improve luminousness and freshness of the composition. A heart is dominated by Moroccan jasmine with intensive notes of white flowers. This combination of floral essences gives a precious and feminine tact to the fragrance. Its base is composed of white amber, which adds a modern nuance, mixed with Cashmeran accords, leaving a seductive and sensual trace on the skin.

Goddess of the Sun which presents this edition is dressed in golden clothes with an airy veil. Her face is decorated with golden make-up and golden eyelashes which attract attention leaving an impression of radiant light.

Alien Eau de Toilette 2009 arrives as 30 and 60 ml EDT in September 2009.

1st perfume purchase and 1st perfume review here!
As a 22 year-old who just entered the working world, I needed a fragrance that was youthful but not immature, light enough for our hot Summer coming up, and was office-appropriate.
After smelling 100+ perfumes and testing 20+ on my skin, I
chose this beauty, even though I smelt and fell in love with the EDP first (but don’t worry I purchased that too for the evening… and the Flora Futura ;)) The strange thing is that I was first put off by the entire sound and look of the Thierry Mugler range, but now I’m obsessed with the unique packaging and proudly display them on my vanity.
Something about this concoction just grabbed me – Alien EDT is so pleasant/agreeable that I can’t imagine someone wrinkling their nose at this, but it’s so unique at the same time (just like the bottle it’s housed in!) It’s nothing like all the boring, powdery florals you’ll find littering Chloe and Ellie Saab counters. This is the Eau de Parfum’s fresher, more citrusy younger sister, appropriate for day-time and office-wear yet still complex and seductive.
Edit: Sprayed this at 7AM for work, and towards 7PM I was still catching whiffs of this warm jasmine! Now that’s remarkable for longevity for an EDT; definitely worth the money.

I recently got this and the edp, this would be my day time one & maybe on warmer days, the edp for nights & cold days. I find this fresher, doesn’t last as long & less likely to give other people a headache than the edp which can fill a room.

This wears like an introverted perfume on my skin. I have smelled this on other women – and it projects much more. But on me, this really turns very soft – pretty quickly. For this reason, I have waited to purchase it.
This is in the same family as Narcisso Rodrigues –
Something that beckons you to come closer, it whispers to you.
I love the way that this smells on other women. It is beautiful on them, but I’m not sure that this has enough volume for me to wear. I like something that is a bit more bold than this.

Who knows the nose of this EDT version? I don’t see it in Domonique Ropion’s list and cannot find anywhere the information about the nose/noses

Wonderful scent! I’m on my second day wearing it and got a huge compliment from a male co-worker 😀 ! It smells really good, creamy but a bit spicy too, just lovely. Sillage and longevity are good if you spray generously. I will test the EDP and Essence Absolue soon, as fall is coming.

A warm-weather friendly version of the original EDP. I adore the EDP, but I still love the jasmine that gives Alien its distinctive recognition, so the EDT is my go to for spring and summer. Most elements from the EDP are present in the EDT, however, the heavy/rich elements from the base notes are subdued.

Not as harsh as the original, the eau de parfum. But it smells best after a while, after the initial “burst” is gone.
This is the Version I could have, but unfortunately it’s not interesting enough. Maybe if I try it in wintertime it will feel different? It is 29 degrees Celcius here in Norway now…!

I love it the EDT as much as I love the EDP version of Alien. This citrusy, lighter version is much preferable to be worn in the warmer temperatures and won’t suffocate people in and around your perimeter.
I’m sniffing this side by side with the Edp and Edt.And this one smells happier to me and the dusty indolic jasmine becomes a lot more dustier and airier and I like it.The mothball feel from the edp is little to none in this one and dissipates within a few minutes and you are left with a lovely white floral with the warmth of amber. And it’s like the Alien EDP on your skin after hours of hectic work and you still can get soft whiffs of it.
Buuuuuut I feel a lot powerful and invinsible wearing the EDP despise being a teen.I can wear the Edp casually and walk pass by people without giving a damn.
Performance-wise:Good Sillage and Longevity but I bet this won’t project much like the perfume version and just spray it a bit on your hair to add to the performance.

    Klmn00, I agree with you 100%.
Alien edt and also the edp version is the “avant garde” white floral composition. Alien is sultry, sexy, powerful, feminine and very updated. It´s a scent from our time “right here and right now”; you will not exhale that smell heavy “White floral” vintage
The maison Thierry Mugler is amazing in the perfumery branch. They really achieve to compose unique, ultra visionaire formulations and also flacons.
Alien is a Jasmin cultivated in Mars; nothing in this market is similar to it.
I love this masterpiece and my husband too.

I belong to Angel squad and I thought never oh never I will care for Alien. But I have checked this version and my eyes opened wide!
It starts like typical Mugler cologne. But settles to warm jasmine and vanilla. I instantly remember Classique by J.P. Gaultier. So far I appreciated Gaultier but for my nose it was tooooo retro. Alien EDT is more contemporary and modern version of 90’s white florals.
Mugler knows how to make sexy scents …But so different! Angel is raw, jeans, leather and messy hair kind of sexyness. While Alien is sexy in a polished way, red lips and heels on, hair up and no thread is sticking out.

This one is a bit sweeter compared to the original, but apart from that, they smell the same to me.

This is where I landed after years of ongoing wait and search for a fruity-floral of my dreams.
In Alien EDT everything is in place for that one fun, super feminine, fruity-floral that is not too girly, not too silly, not too cheap, not too sweet, and no patchouli.
Delicious orange fruit, lush white flowers, smooth yellow amber, colourless solar or cashmeran accords. And that jasmin!
While many fruity-florals fall flat on skin or start fruity and end in the same generic musky nothingness, Alien EDT stays true to itself from the beginning to the end.
    edit:
I think the secret of Alien EDT’s wonderfulness is that it is without any of the usual “fresh” notes yet it is totally fresh. Fresh flowers, fresh fruit, fresh cashmeran, even fresh amber. (No soap, no calone, no aquatic notes, no fresh powder). Yet the scent is deep and intoxicating at the same time it is fresh, which is pretty amazing.
Fragrantica has given a “powdery” description for this but Alien EDT has zero powder. Quite the opposite. It’s silky smooth from the beginning to the end, the feel of the scent is almost liquid.
(while Alien EDP is the signature of 455 people, for Alien EDT it’s only 7. Unbelievable.)

DEFINITELY this EDT is my favorite one out of ALL versions of Alien that I have ever been introduced to (the EDP, the Essence Absolue, the Eau Extraordinaire…they all gave me a headache with a very sharp and “gusty” opening note which I have no idea what it was from). This one has more “woodsy” scent, but soft and SO smooth, very unique, very unusual, very “Alien”, NOT like any perfume I have ever tested. And I have owned and tested many.
I sprayed it on one of the coldest days here where we live (no snow of course) and it worked very well, in a perfect harmony with my body temperature and chemistry. Therefore, I may not wear it in hot summer.
The only “little concern” about the whole Alien line that I took caution with is that they come out with “refillable bottles” (not sealed). If I can’t find a great deal for it at department stores, I would definitely buy from trusted sellers ONLY (there are few websites out there that I have been buying perfumes from so many times. They offer low price, great deals, great customer service, and of course with 100% authenticity guaranteed). If those websites don’t carry what I am looking for, I will go to the department stores instead or just switch to different fragrances.

    90% similarities with the EDP
    but more floral
EDP has a metal-like cold amber which has been shut down a lot in this version
    perfect for summer days !

If EDP is more as floral, then this is more as green leaves, added light citrus and have chemical, soapy feel. This so much weaker and more refreshing than EDP. This also is darker, adult perfume, but not that obnoxious sugary sweet as EDP. It’s close to skin scent and fades fast. Violet color packaging fit this perfume well.

  16. :

This is my favorite non-gourmand Alien. If you want a more woodsy version of Alien without that grape note, this is it. The first time I smelled Alien, I loved it, and then wondered why I never felt the same way about it every other time I tested it. Turns out the first time I smelled it I was testing the EDT, not the EDP. I like this one much more.

This perfume brings you to an other world. It’s sweet end spicy. It makes me weak, haha! And not only me. Men, omg they love it! But it also says: I am an independent woman. Don’t over spray it (especially not on your first date). When I go out or when I go on a date I spray this perfume in my hair, it’s the best place for Alien EDT I believe.
The EDP is more heavy in sillage and longetivity (you can shower with it and still smell this perfume the next day!).
With the EDT you can not shower with it or smell it the next day (only on clothes/textile).

I don’t like original Alien, not just because it has been so popular here that almost every woman has a bottle of it (original or fake)and it’s almost the only perfume detectable in weddings.I don’t like it because it’s too much.Too strong, animalic, actually it makes me sick(no offense to alien lovers)
However I like alien essence absolue and alien taste of fragrance,so after I got a sample of alien edt with one of my purchases,I decided to try it.glad I did so.it’s so pretty that I may buy a bottle for spring
Alien edt IS similar to edp version, they’re obviously sisters.but this younger sister,is so nice, simple, modest and likable
it’s jasmine dominant as edp,but not that hot, dirty, super sweet jasmine of edp,it’s a different kind of Jasmine,it’s soft and clean(I don’t mean soapy by saying clean)AND there are other white florals besides it,can’t tell what, but they’re gorgeous, calm and delicate
There’s a light touch of citruses that keeps it fresh, citruses aren’t sour or zesty, they blend so nice that you may not even notice them
There’s also cashmeran which almost always reminds me almond (I know it’s ridiculous but it’s really how I pick it up)cashmeran adds a touch of soft, dry, almond like powder and I think that what makes alien edt similar to cacharel catch me(they are similar but not a dupe, catch me is much more almondy)
It becomes a little warmer and sweet in drydown with amber, even it’s amber is different from edp’s
All in all I can see similarities but in the same time they’re so different that I hate edp and my feeling about edt is something between like and love
Edt isn’t a winter scent like edp,it’s better for mild weather, like spring and fall, but still it’s wearable year round
    It’s not invasive or sharp.it’s soft,delicate,beautifully balanced and feminine,so it’s versatile
I can see it a great choice for bride, actually I add it to list of perfumes I have for my wedding party and it may be the winner and I’m not even a fan of Jasmine!
Longevity and sillage aren’t as great as edp,but don’t let the word “edt” let you down, remember that a mugler “edt” can beat lots of other “edps” in a second.it’s staying power is very good.almost 8 hours on skin.sillage is moderate but it leaves a lovely trail while you walk
If you’re an alien lover, edp one,and you’re looking for a milder version for spring, summer or office, give it a try, even if you dislike original alien but you’d like a well-done white floral, don’t miss trying it
    ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

I just picked this up, glad I found the edt b/c the edp was out of my price range that I wanted to spend. It’s about 60 degrees here and I like this at first spray and then I can’t decide if I like it or not lol – will give it a few days and see. This may go back ? :/
For sure I smell jasmine and then the other notes are hard to find and pin point… So far the silage is mild/moderate depending on how much sprayed and the longevity seems about 3 hours – boo but up close on the skin you can smell it faintly. I get the “fresh” comments, I do feel that at too but I also agree this is a heavier scent
EDIT 11/4/16 — I returned it. I loved it on paper and the begging but on me this was too harsh, like a patch. (prob the “metallic” others mention) kinda harsh :/ I am thinking it’s the cashmeran. I have CK Reveal and I like that (not the lotion tho yuck) but this wasn’t great on longevity so back it went… I bought instead Angel EDT – we’ll see how that one reacts to my skin chemistry

More wearable than EDP Alien witch i love so much, it is similar to some aqua chic version but like it anyway. I enjoy it when i wear it and i even get many compliments even i didn’t expected, some of my coworkers even wanted spray and try it too. It’s not very long lasting but enough for edt even more can say.

I was apprehensive to purchase Alien Edt because of the reviews and mentioning of a metallic note. Fortunately I came across a small bottle at a discount store and decided to try it out. Well, I agree with most of the other reviews…
Alien is the perfect name for this scent, as there is something outworldly about this fragrance. I can’t quite put my finger on it but assume it’s a mixture of the amber and cashmeran. White florals are prominent in the opening and drydown (jasmine and orange blossom). A citrusy note emerges after all the other notes have settled. It is soft, but there nonetheless. That is the best I can describe Alien Edt. Though I am happy I went with the edt rather than edp in this case. The Edt is described as softer and more wearable than the edp. However, even the edt has a strong alien essence and I am unsure if I could wear a more pronounced version. For the time being, I will categorize this scent as wearable until I have more time to examine it in all aspects. This will likely make my fall or winter rotation list due to the atypical formulation. It would make a good floral for a season other than spring. It lacks the freshness, sweet accords, and green notes of common spring scents.

FRAGRANCE REVIEW FOR ALIEN EDT BY THIERRY MUGLER
    Top Notes: Mandarin Orange Citrus
    Middle Notes: Jasmine White Flowers
    Base Notes: Cashmeran Amber
I sigh with relief wearing this because it’s such a breath of fresh air compared to the stifling aromatic punch in the nose that is the original Alien. This is nothing like it although there are bits and pieces, fragments, of Alien in the notes of jasmine and amber. This is basically Alien without the indolic jasmine dirtiness and the strong musk animalic notes. This is a softer sweeter fresher fruity floral version of Alien. It opens with refreshing sweet citrus. Then it becomes a white floral scent and finally dries to amber. Being an eau de toilette it’s a weaker concentration and therefore short lived. I find myself reapplying throughout the day. This is not bad though. It’s like the day time/casual version of Alien where as Alien is night time/formal equivalent. The same person who wears this and Alien can “change wardrobe” the same day. I really do prefer this to Alien but in no way do I knock Alien. It’s such a masterpiece and always will be.

Weird! As much as I adore the EDP, I really dislike this EDT! To me, the EDP is warm, sweet and comforting! However this EDT is sharp, has an aggressive perfumey smell and attacks your nostrils!

Having been a huge fan of Alien for years, I am sooooooo disappointed with the EDT, it breaks my heart. Previously worn Alien on special occasions and nights out and being able to smell it even the following day, I was very excited to purchase the EDT, the lighter version to wear through the day. I was hoping the scent would follow me around throughout the day as I find it so cozy and comfortable. Unfortunately, EDT is not only lighter, it has no lasting power on my skin or clothes at all. I spray it and it’s gone within less than an hour. I would say on me EDT lasts for about 30 minutes and then it’s gone without a trace. Very very disappointing.

This is the perfect summer scent for Alien lovers.
This EDT is beautiful, much lighter than the EDP, the jasmine is less prominent, citrusy in the opening, with the same sweet, warm and spicy drydown.

  26. :

    5 out of 5

I think it’s a nice white floral fragrance. A little sweet, a little ambery, not bitter or overpowering.
I would have nothing against wearing it as everyday scent.
It could also be worn on special occasions too, of course.
An elegant white floral, perfectly balanced.

  27. :

    3 out of 5

The eau de toilette smells very similar to the perfume for obvious reasons, however there is a small dose of citrus, which adds a bit of freshness to this very pungent and daring scent. I’m defiantly a fan, though the original Alien is still my favorite. use sparingly.

  28. :

    3 out of 5

Use to have this, it’s intoxicating and the third perfume I fell in love with. Definitely shall get again one day once I compact down my collection. Amazing power for an eau de toilette and an alternative to Alien eau de parfum if you find that too much. This is a bit more fresh than the EDP but still woody/ambery.

  29. :

I like the Eau De Parfum more. There’s definately a difference between them and I can tell them apart.
If I remember it right, this was more (white) floral.

when I first encountered this my sister in law walked in my house and I asked her if she was wearing Armani code. no, it was alien. it projected from her really well and suited her but since then I cant smell it without making the association. I don’t dislike her but she is a one perfume woman so Ive not wanted to “steal” alien from her lol! I like it but seeing as it smells like Armani code to me, which I have I cant see myself buying it. also I often smell it on passers by in town

Usually people think that this perfume was purchased after the test, but I will give an impartial opinion, the fragrance is very bold, or love, or hate late, fast, fearless,
We Iranians have a saying that his cry is purple, the aroma is like screaming purple،I simply made to draw attention, not stroking the noseك

Alien EDT is, as others have stated more wearable than the EDP. This is exactly what I have been looking for…the same extraterrestrial, sexy amber-jasmine…but this time the alien has adapted a bit more to life on earth. Yes it is a head turner… but it is less dominant and less strange. The Jasmine is much softer and more natural in the EDT. I would use this as a perfume for summer and spring nights. 🙂
    Update:
Sadly this became almost undetectable after 2-3 hours…I don’t know if it is my skin or the scent itself.

  33. :

    5 out of 5

On me it smells really lovely warm jasmine at first, and after about an hour like slightly old cookies…! I think I’ll stay away from this one!

  34. :

    3 out of 5

Creamy white floral, bitter almond opening, slight playdoh smell leads to a plummy, fruity, juicy smell like red grapes and plums. I’ve heard it compared to grape koolaid and I totally smell that. Sweet. A bit “young” for me.

  35. :

    5 out of 5

I cannot take the EDP Alien. It just hates me so much, sigh 🙁 However, EDT is very nice and I think I will snap myself a bottle up. It really is on me, more toned down and not watered down, but not as neon. It’s very wearable. Yep, think I’ll reach for this one next. Give my Chanel a break for a little while. If you can’t wear the EDP, try this one. I think you’ll find this one is quite friendly.

  36. :

I absolutely hate the EDP but I do quite enjoy this one! Have a bunch of samples.

Amazing longeivity on me! I wanted to buy the EDP but it was out of my budget so i compromised with the EDT and thankfully i don’t regret it. Now i can’t remember whether they smell alike or not,but i am happy with my purchase! It has notes that i really like in general and it really suprises me that white flowers and citrus notes are able to last this long on an EDT!

  38. :

    3 out of 5

Just recieved this and it smells wonderful! It smells just like the edp just a toned down version which isn’t a bad thing at all. It’s currently 80 degrees right now where I’m at and projecting well on my skin so no need for the edp. When this runs out I may purchase the edp version of this for the fall. Officially #teamalien
24hours later and I can still smell this on my watch that I wore the day before. I love how Alien almost smells like grapes!
    6/24/15
I’ve been wearing this to work for about a 2 months now and I continue to receive nothing but compliments and co-workers are always asking what am I wearing. This let’s me know that even though it’s the edt version it can still turn heads just as much as the edp version. I love them both tho 🙂

  39. :

    4 out of 5

I love it! I must admit I love the EDP way more, but I will certainly settle for this until I can get it. The citrus is the only difference between EDT and EDP. Wonderful fragrance and can’t wait to buy more!

  40. :

    5 out of 5

This one settles down way too fast for my taste. I get the citrusy opening, and then a blast of jasmine. One hour later, it’s just jasmine and amber – so close to the skin that I can hardly smell it. Pity

  41. :

    5 out of 5

I think this is beautiful. If this had Alien EDP sillage and longevity this would be a no brainer for me. It would be in top 10 for sure. I love original Alien. I think it’s perfect. I also love this one too. I would like to wear Alien EDP in the morning and carry the EDT in my purse as day goes into night.

  42. :

    4 out of 5

Alien EDT is a big powdery white floral on me. In addition to the headlining jasmine, I detect quite a bit of orange blossom, which I assume has to be one of the white flowers in this. There is also a load of amber which lends a heavy powdery aura. Alien is one of those scents that if worn lightly, you can definitely wear it during the day and even to the office, but worn more heavily, it becomes an evening scent. I find this surprisingly simple for such a hyped scent – basically white flowers and powder, but well done nonetheless.

  43. :

    4 out of 5

What a nice scent! It is sensual, quite smooth, delicate, a bit floral, a bit woody. Wonderful blend of floral and woodsy notes, I would say.
If aliens truly smell like that, they can come to the Earth and they will be welcomed at my doorstep!
Update: I’ve tested it again and I really like it, but it is far too woody for me.

  44. :

    5 out of 5

This is the original Aliens shy sister; she’s soft, light, and feminine where the original is bold and seductive. Though arguably this one is seductive too, in its own right. You can tell they’re related, but the EDT manages to portray a different personality despite containing many of the same notes from the original. In this rendition they’re toned down a bit and given a fresh, even sparkling twist. For those who find the EDP to be a bit much, or want an Alien for more subtle occasions, this is definitely worth a try.

  45. :

    4 out of 5

The Review box for Alien edp does not work so I’ll compare both edp and edt here. Alien edp shows more jasmine and stronger amber and musk. There is something akin to bug spray in thick sweet oil that turns me away from edp yet I am compelled to sniff my wrist. I am intrigued but I would not wear it. Edp has strong sillage about two feet and leaves a trail. On me, after two hours, all that I detect is warmed massage oil with musk. Not much florals especially jasmine. My skin chemistry may be different than yours.
Edt has more citrus and more watered down amber and musk. I can see a division between supporters of edp and edt. Edt is more wearable in a conservative office. I would be more likely to wear edt but I feel the whole point of the uniqueness of Alien is lost if I don’t choose edp. The bug-spray note though…no.
    One spray on me:
Sillage: three feet with a trail
Longevity: three hours then soft one-foot sillage afterwards
Rating: 2/5 for edp, 3/5 for edt

  46. :

    4 out of 5

This is truly lovely! I never liked Alien edp, it is just suffocating and poisonous on my skin! Too much of everything, too popular, too “manmade” synthetics and dare I say too expensive, for what it is!
But the edt is so pretty, it’s a very natural jasmine, it has a freshness that is not aldehydic but citrussy, , it has a sweetness that is not sacharine but honey, and a feminity that is both young and elegant at the same time! The sillage and lasting life are only moderate on me, but enough to take me through the day and make it sunny and happy!

  47. :

    3 out of 5

Love it. I love the edp of Alien but find it a bit too much to wear every day, to the office etc. This version is perfect, very similar but with added citrus and flowers, a little more feminine, classic in its own right. Love <3

  48. :

    3 out of 5

Wow, this scent is very popular. I recently tried it and I realized I’ve smelled it on many people already. Anyway, the opening is like a burst of jasmine. It’s a projection and sillage monster. I took a shower and it was still there after it. It’s floral, sweet and powdery at the same time. It kind of reminds me of Ange ou Demon by Givenchy. They don’t smell similar, but they have the same ‘vibe’ (or style, you know?). Chances are if you like one of them you’ll probably like the other.
It’s not my cup of tea though. I think it’s just…too much. And it’s powdery, so it really annoys me. Not for me.

This is a stunningly beautiful fragrance. Pure creamy sweet floral on my skin.
I bought this EDT version of the fragance about two months ago, a small little bottle to sample before dipping in to buy a larger bottle.
This is a unique fragrance, with a strong signature note that I know I would recognise on anyone else wearing it. It is a truely beautiful fragrance. So… why don’t I like it?
I have to thank this fragrance for teaching me a great lesson in what I love about perfumes.
I love complexity. I love a fragrance that tells a story through it’s different notes.
As beautiful as it is, Alien EDT does not do this for me. After a hour or so, I just find myself wanting to smell something different.
If you love Jasmine, and love creamy and unique scents this one could be for you. It just lacks an evolution of subtle notes which I enjoy in wearing perfume.

simply HEAVENLY. jasmine is my all-time favourite note and this is a masterpiece in its simplicity combined with quality. what´s more – no vanilla! too good to be true
not sure if I can dare to go for EDP when I´m just 22, but I guess I´ll risk that 🙂

Santa hubby bought me this fragrance and I am thrilled. I had the edp on my list originally, and then me and hubby went to smell the edt and both agreed it was a little lighter eight the citrus and retained the basic alien fragrance, I love it! My only complaint is that it is definitely not as long lasting as alien on me. So therefore, I need to get the alien edp as well don’t you think?

I wouldn’t say that Alien is incredibly unique, but it does have something that makes it very easy to recognize. Every other day I walk by a person wearing this perfume, it’s like having fate screaming at me to buy it.
The EDT version has a surprising silage and staying power. Classy, slightly bitter. I think it’s perfect for everyday wear and formal occasions alike, and at a reasonably good price.

    Dear readers ,
I wasn’t enchanted by this so called “innovative” fragrance by Mugler. With a title that screamed brave and different, lets not forget a lot of money being put in for the advertisement in paper and on t.v that looked like a preview for a SCFI movie than a perfume, I figured why not go try this ?, and yes I did and my experience wasn’t but “extraordinary ” nor “out of this world” with the Alien invasion . The scent is rather common powdery sandalwood and musky vanilla, I could not capture the “unique” jasmine from the atlas mountains as the sales perfumer was informing me of its rich notes . For me the Alien has failed to thrill me with its so called exoticism and turned out to be a ordinary female perfume that can be confused with the cookie cutters scent that abound our fine department stores. For me this belongs in the category of perfumes that belongs to the trendy and fickle at heart types. Not worth your money if your seeking quality .

I agree with StellaXYH: This is very similar to the EdP but not quite as heavy. However some of the jasmine is still discernible on my wrist after 4 hours?? I think this will be a close contender with Alien EdP for the most worn fragrance, and goes straight on top of my must buy list.

Alien EDT and EDP smells quite alike as both have prominent jasmine. However, the amber in the EDT seems to be less heavy. I didn’t get much acidity from citrus. But the the whole composition smells more green than EDP. EDT to my nose, smells more like a floral fragrance.
Both the sillage and the intensity are weaker than EDP, which is not necessarily a bad thing as EDP is really strong. The longevity is around 8 hours. Overall a sheerer Alien, a good alternative for those that find EDP too aggressive.

I 100% agreee with genny17. To me, also, this is better than EDP, and surprisingly, it has the same lasting power on my skin. The drydown of EDT is softer and more intimate, as opposed to EDP, which is kind of loud, at least for me. I absolutely love Alien EDT, much better than EDP.

    Okay this was dissapointing..
Don’t get me wrong , it doesn’t have a bad smell or anything.
I heard and read so much about this perfume and finally today i tested it.
It was jasmine, jasmine and more jasmine. Very strong jasmine. That’s it.
After hours i could catch other notes too but jasmine was keep intervening, and not letting to enjoy other notes .
Even name and bottle doesn’t match with the smell i believe. I was expecting something different, maybe little disturbing but not this..
I wouldn’t spent money on this. I would go and buy much much more cheaper perfume which smell jasmine in other words exactly like this.

This is very nice, and to me nicer than EDP really, I find EDP a bit heady, the jasmine in EDT is pretty, rich, and mixes real nicely with the amber, this isn’t heady but quite intense, very nice that it doesn’t disappear after 20 mn also. A nice rich scent, that is still pretty, and unique.

This is absolutely HEAVEN, from start to finish. The beggining is beautiful jasmine which stays until the most amazing delicious amber in the drydown. Want it badly!

Did anyone mention that it’s quite loud? And quite sweet? Quite nice actually, but not for me. Perhaps for younger women, or for those who wish to be noticed primarily for their amazing looks… On my skin I smell fruit, especially berries, and vanilla. Am I such an amateur or are these notes really there?

My relationship with TM Alien began some years ago when I received a small sample of Alien EDP in a department store and I fell in love with this intriguing scent.
Alien has excellent longevity in both the EDP and EDT. On the initial spray of the EDT I get fresh citrus which develops into a warm salty/sweet scent. I would consider this to be a scent for all seasons due to the fresh citrus notes – perfect for summer and the warm amber which is ideal in the colder months.
I must admit that I’m struggling to love the EDT in the same way as the EDP. I need to accept the EDT on its own terms and give it the respect it deserves because it’s a rather complex scent with true character.
