I am basically in agreement with cinnakitty. The first smell of this leaves me with the impression – not ashes – but probably cigarette smoke. It’s atmospheric, like something sweet accompanying the smoke, probably the flowers. There’s also something that stands to the side of that, I’m imagining gin. I’m picturing this detective’s office with an ash tray and a cup of booze beside it. Not bad, linear. Lasts a long time like every other BPAL scent. I probably wouldn’t buy this again, but I’ll finish the bottle.

The note for this should not be tobacco, but ash. This is cigarette ash poured all over a fairly nice floral perfume, with a hint of gin. There’s not much more you can say about it. If I could remove the ash note, I would wear it.
