At the time that I’m writing this review, two people have stated in the ‘this perfume reminds me of’ section that Ala Moana reminds them of Monyette Paris and I can see what they mean but to me Ala Moana seems like an extremely watered down *safe* version of Monyette someone could spray around in a department store without worrying they will offend the noses of little old ladies. It’s just not in the same league. It’s like the difference between deep, dark midnight blue and the palest sky blue. They’re both blue but the concentrations are way different.
Anyway, Ala Moana is a light, pleasant, white floral boquet, just slighy indolic. I own a bottle and spray it in my home and bedroom quite often. But I’m just writing this review to say please smell first before buying if you’re buying because of the Monyette votes. You will be disappointed. This is not a replacement for Monyette unless you’re actually looking for a zero calorie, sugar-free, diet version.
