1Hellsing – :
i have always marvelled at all the reviews of asaq, i have the opportunity to smell it today in malaysia, of al hajjar al aswad perfume, i have tested (other brands,) each is rather similar in structure but asaq hajjar al aswad ( not the royal hajjar al aswad, they dont have that available where i live ),
it not as strong as others in term of structure, it smell soapy of the yester years in the 80’s and 90’s which i used in bathing called may soap. A luxury combination of roses which i believed is taif but have the same mellow structure towards the end as rose de mai..a structure that suited to the french type of perfumeries but loud and 12 hours longevity. What strike me the most is the dry down, it is musky musty smell of rose musk, the musk to some is animalic but to my nose is akin to chanel no 5 musky powdery smell not in the face but likeable, memories of old talcum powder with roses does appear which walk me through the time my parents or grandparents hugging me when i was a child, the oud is the oud that is not barnyard nor fecal, just woodsy sweet of pressed fresh from the infected oud tree…
one final word is the perfume is easy to fall in love with and universal…
