I have this on one hand and Eternity on the other. They are identical..

Smells more or less identical to Al Rehab Champion Black. Which is to say it falls somewhere between GIT and Eternity for Men. Either Al Rehab can stand on its own as a crowd pleasing scent or compliment any traditional fragrance in that general wheelhouse. Good longevity and potent sillage if you use too much. But don’t: less is more with Al Rehab.

This is a review of the oil:
This does resemble Polo sport in the opening. As for Eternity, I’m not familiar with it in it’s vintage form But this is what I’d Imagine it to be, a much manlier, in-your-face version of it! I get about 12 hours with this with about 3 hours projection. Sillage is strong! For a few euro this one is a must have and true bargain!

Like what Dakar did to Drakkar, I feel Al Fares is as close as you’re going to get to vintage Eternity for Men without buying a vintage bottle and it performs like a beast. For the $3-$4 it costs for the 6ml rollerball I think this is well worth checking out.

Yeps: Aquatic and green: me likey! But I wouldn’t expect much in terms of longevity…
Edit: DAMN it even lasts! 10 hours solid with heavy application.. this is the Winner! Great scent, great longevity, and the funniest thing is the price.. go figure! 😉

To me this is smells exactly like guava leaf, herbal with a bitter edge and also oceanic somehow. The sillage is moderate and unfortunately with a quite poor longevity. But i like to smell this on men in a hot and humid days.

If the color blue had a scent this would be it. It’s more aquatic and sporty than anything else, not really a “green” scent by any means. Very similar to Polo Sport and Animale Animale. I don’t get the Eternity by Calvin Klein comparison. I have the roll-on oil version, not the spray, so it might be why it smells different than Eternity to me, Eternity is more of a citrus while Al Fares is more aquatic. I really like it, and like all Al Rehab fragrances, the value is unbeatable.

Fresh, Aquatic, Very green. Perfect for spring and summer. I wear a a host of different scents so its safe to say this isn’t my signature but if I had to choose a scent, Al Fares would be the number 1 contender
    Sillage 10/10
    Longevity 8/10
    Uniqueness 8/10
Great scent for those breezy days and nights as well

I have had the chance to use CK Eternity perfume recently. It’s my brother-in-law’s. A couple of weeks before, we went on a trip and during that time, I was using CK Eternity. I really really liked it.
It was so fresh, green, aquatic and cool. I was determined to buy one for me, but the only problem was that it was not long lasting. It was lasting probably about 4 to 6 hours.
Recently I have stumbled upon the Al Rehab collections. I wanted to try something from this house. Since I had a very good experience with the other middle eastern houses such as Rasasi and Armaf.
I found a great seller in eBay and ordered 4 Al rehab 6 ml Roll-Ons.
    1. Al Fares.
    2. Silver.
    3. Superman.
    4. Original.
I have to say I really like Al Fares a lot our of the other 3. This is shockingly so close to CK Eternity. I mean this is so terribly close that I have decided not to buy Eternity. So clean and long lasting.
I’m wearing this perfume as I type and it’s been almost 6 hours and I can still get the whiffs very often.
I’m no perfume expert, I can’t tell the notes in a perfume. But I can tell a good perfume and bad perfume. This is a great one. If you are like me, then please get this one, you will be glad!
    Happy sniffing!

My father is a true lover of Calvin Klein Eternity for men, and she wears it almost every morning before work.
So I got used to the smell of CK Eternity.
then I can confirm that Al fares smell is indeed quite similar to Eternity, only it is more spicy and smoky.
I also have Davidoff Cool water, and I think Al fares at all do not like cool water.

Al Fares struck a familiar vibe when first applied on my skin; somewhere between Calvin Klein Eternity and Eternity Aqua for Men if I had had to venture a guess. Although the notes pyramid lists herbal notes, musk, spicy notes and woody notes, I detect all sorts of others notes and accords. Just look at the notes breakout of the aforementioned Eternity’s and Polo Sport. While it smells pleasant, I’m sure this one is loaded with aroma compounds. Seriously, exactly what constitutes herbal notes and spicy notes? It could be a hundred or more things.
Performance is pretty good for Al Fares in that it lasts a solid 8-hours on my skin and projects moderately. Al Fares is a nice old-school herbal aromatic with some woody tones, a green vibe, and perhaps a touch of aldehydes. It’s largely a linear fragrance, but it does get a slight bit more woody in the drydown. A potential drawbacks of this fragrance is that it’s a bit old-school (although certainly not dated), it’s not original, and fragrances like Eternity are arguably better and already inexpensive on the discount market.
To conclude, for something like $5 for a 35ml spray bottle Al Fares is cheap and, if Eternity and Polo Sport are in your scent wheelhouse, you can’t go wrong with this one. Given all factors, it’s a like from me.

Just received this today this is the third installment to my Al Rehab collection. Just to get the gist of what other’s would smell I sprayed once in the air and I have to say this is not bad at all. It smells like Irish Spring has made a cologne. Very fresh, aquatic and cool if this makes any sense. Can’t wait to wear it !

  20. :

This is indistinguishable from Calvin Klein Eternity for Men. I suspect it’s longer lasting.
Interestingly, the dry-down (at the very end when it becomes a skin scent) smells indentical to Green Irish Tweed’s. It’s the same slightly metallic smelling sandalwood/ambergris combination.

Dipen Lathia is spot on, use this sparingly. I apply two sprays to my chest and this lasts all day, any more than this and it would be just too overpowering.
A fresh old school fragrance, just remember “less is more”.
My opinion is leaning towards the positive for these Al-Rehab scents, I got a 30ml bottle of Al Fares delivered to my door for £4, fantastic value for money IMHO.
    Nice!

This frag is quite something!! It starts with a Davidoff cool water blast then slowly shifts away into something more soapy and crispy. Fresh, clean and all round. suits most weathers but be careful not to spray too much. The longevity and sillage are just stupendous. 24 hours now and counting…

This perfume is similar to Polo Sport & Colour Me Blue by Milton Lloyd. Very fresh, soapy, mildly smoky, green fragarnce.Very Pleasant Fragrance. This has a very mild tinge of wintergreen oil/menthol oil…which is barely noticeable, but primary similarities are to the perfumes mentioned above.
In India, Aqdas Perfumes from Chennai make a Roll-On version of Polo Sport Perfume Oil called Cowboy Polo/Polar Craze & this smells very similar to that perfume oil.
Good Fragrance by Al Rehab.I have not smelled CK Eternity for Men so cannot compare this to CKE, but this one smells pleasant & hence is a good buy.

  25. :

Compared with the rest of the Al-Rehab fragrances, Al Fares is less intense and dense. it is very much a lovely scent, comfortably masculine without being overbearing. the longevity is surprisingly short and 6 hours later there is all but nothing left even at the skin level. Nice fragrance in general, but I don’t get Swagger at all, much less CK Eternity. I doubt I’ll wear it often since it seems to fade fast on my skin for some reason.

I haven’t worn Eternity in 20 years, but from memory, this is in fact very close. Not my type. Average projection, good longevity. My rating 6.6

Al Rehab does Eternity for Men with a few drops of Coty’s Aspen mixed in. It’s brutally powerful in roll-on form, and I can’t help but feel that a fragrance as inexpensive and synthetic as Eternity is better off being experienced with the original fragrance. Just spend the $20 and get the CK. Or, if you must spend less for the same, buy Cuba Paris Grey, which is a softer, better-balanced treatment of the theme. Al Fares is unfortunately superfluous at this point.

As I live in Dubai, UAE, I have had more of a chance than most to see the Al Rehab fragrances in their local cultural setting. I am altogether aware that the vast majority of people who buy Al Rehab perfumes in the West will have had them supplied from online retailers, but I would like to share with you something about purchasing these fragrances here before I give my short review.
For a start, buying an Al Rehab fragrance in Dubai will mean in all likelihood that you will need to visit the Perfume Souk area in the city near to the famous Gold Souk of Dubai. This is because Al Rehab is not stocked in any of the major or minor retail outlets and – unlike Rasasi, Arabian Oud, Swiss Arabian or the other local brands – does not have an outlet based in a mall. This also means that you will have to take a route through one of the older parts of the city, by the side of the Creek, along past the shops selling all sorts of knick-knacks, past the Asian cyclists carrying stacks of cardboard on the backs of bikes, past the East Africans trading with Afghans, past the shwarma and juice stalls, until you come to the Perfume Souk area. Here you find the Al Rehab shop at the end of a busy, crowded, furiously neon-lit street….
Now when you enter this shop, you will truly wonder how it is that some of these fragrances are so well recognised as being very credible dupes of some of the fragrances from the most admired houses internationally. Creed? Montale?…..Surely not. The Al Rehab shop is staffed by some very friendly elderly local Arab gentlemen. Very nice, and a Salaam Aleikum and a few words of Arabic goes a long way. But yet, the shop. My, my, my….More like a hardware store than a fragrance shop, it is not unusual for your total to be worked out on the back of an envelope and change to be plucked out of wooden drawer. Last time I went there I wondered if I could pick up a hammer and a box of masonry nails while I was at it!…Suffice to say that this is nothing like the image of sparkling, shiny Dubai portrayed around the world. Yet, there is charm in this as well – and most definitely value for money if this is a consideration at all. (As an aside, buying these 6 ml CPO vials costs me 4 UAE dirhams each, about $1.10, ie they are practically giving the stuff away.) So what are their fragrances actually like…..
Al Fares is a fragrance which is has a very standard masculine vibe and it is altogether obvious that this is marketed towards men. So it does not have the fascinating and contradictory unisex design of some of Al-Rehab’s best fragrances (Saat Safa, Khaliji, Choco Musk, for example). Yet, for all that it is a reasonably good fragrance with fresh, woody spiciness which is quite pleasant to the nose. Though not an aromatic fougere, I get the references to CK Eternity that others make.
All said, the best aspect that Al Fares has to offer is not its originality, but rather its performance. If you are tired of how the reformulation of standard male workplace fragrances from the past has you reaching for an atomizer by the middle of the day, this might be one to consider. It outperforms probably the vast majority of reformulated giants from the era it brings to mind: late 1980s and early 1990s.

There are similarities of this to Polo Sport. It’s not a Polo Sport clone though. Smells like smoky, soapy herbs with traces of oud in the background at skin-close distance. But it’ll smell like soapy fresh, smoky orange leaves at an elbow’s distance. The soapy smell is quite soft and gives an impression that it’s aquatic but it actually isn’t. Can’t say that longevity and projection’s all that admirable. Dissapears completely after an 8-hour sleep. There are other perfume oils by Al Rehab that lasts much much longer, and also much much louder. Dakar is similar to this but it’s extremely close to smelling like Drakkar Noir, but with slightly more menthol and oakmoss giving you richer herbs & a cooler smell, and is also pretty loud + long lasting.
I’d buy something else over this, like silver….it’s a tad sharp but dear god it lasts for DAYS. My gym bag and everything I put in it smelt like silver for 2 weeks just because I gave the damn thing 2 swipes of silver.

I’ve got the roll-on perfume oil.
This is a pleasant, fresh, clean and soapy fragrance. Gives a fresh laundry/freshly showered feel.
Quite generic, soapy and slightly green.
Nothing exciting but I like it and it is a “safe” sort of a scent.
The oil lasts for ages – with a few short strokes it projects well for 6+ hours (and less well up to about 10 hours) and is good on my skin for up to 14 or 15 hours.

  33. :

Smells very much like mens body wash; it smells very much like Old Spice Swagger to be more specific.

  34. :

This reminds me of a men’s western fragrance. I just cannot remember which one… think along the lines of Brut but not as harsh! It is very sharp fresh green type fragrance. Not for those who love their scents feminine and sweet.
