The nose behind this fragrance is Dominique Ropion.

Well, I must have got the “bad” version of this. A sticky violet syrup punch in the face & a huge whollop of anise that just kept on hitting (with no mercy!) Warm, really sweet, ambery, but also very “mentholated”, with a splash of Flash lemon household cleaner (just to add to the chaos) – & that was my experience of Aimez-Moi.
This is one of the most discordant perfumes I’ve ever come across. My sample, on my skin, was like a battle of horribly clashing warm/cold & sweet/fresh notes. I was expecting something along the lines of L’Heure Bleue or Apres L’Ondee – nope! I really dislike this, it was just a jarring mess on me.

I have two bottles of this. i love Caron. I hate this. Ick. Tobacco bitter wood in the top like an old vintage frag gone off. Florals that are sharp in the middle and that tobacco scent in the base. I love tobacco but this is uncured tobacco leaves. Anyone who has smelled them or smoked them will know how ugh they are.

This was a really, really bad blind buy for me, sorry to say. I bought a 30ml bottle (like the one in the picture here) and after spraying it on my wrist I decided this is not for me. Caron perfumes are hit or miss with me, and this one is a big miss. I’ll keep it in my collection, but will never wear it. On my skin this smells like a big, ugly box of dehydrated figs and I cannot stand that smell. I hoped it would go well, as it did with Pour Une Femme de Caron, which I also blind bought and I LOVE, but it didn’t. I wouldn’t recommend blind buying this. Maybe I should stay away from Caron perfumes, it’s too complicated lol

Based on all the lovely reviews, I blind-purchased a 30ml bottle (the one shown here) for a good price.
This one has offered me the strangest experience: I could not find all these wonderful flowers that everyone is mentioning anywhere, nor did I find the dreamy, ethereal quality a lot of people have mentioned. Both features were what had attracted me to this perfume. I do love Apres L’Ondee, but it hasn’t worked like this for me.
Instead, on my skin, it maintains an intensely boozy (is it the aniseed?) scent from the start which mellows in the drydown but persists nevertheless and generally leaves a medium-sweet impression of prune compote, just like someone has said. I get the slightest whiff of cardamom and that’s it. Not what I was going for and not particularly attractive to me.
The only way I can at least smell the violet, which I love, is to spray it on clothes and the room in general. If it’s not on me, it’s quite lovely and I get an idea of what everyone else is talking about.
Bottomline: I’d suggest you don’t blind-buy. It does seem like most people get the best out of this perfume, but you may get unlucky like me.

A gorgeous perfume. Divine violet, iris, cardamon, amber and star anise. A lovely delectable delight of a perfume. Beautiful sandalwood, soft smooth amber, vanilla, gorgeous rose, lovely mint, bergamot; all sorts of divine aromas. Says around for hours and hours, and never fades!!! It’s my husband’s favourite. Very romantic fragrance, and everywhere I go I get swooned over! People stop me in the street, and shops, to ask what I’m wearing. It’s heavenly!! Gorgeous!!!!!

Did you know that the astronauts who went to the moon noted that it had a very distinct smell? When the Apollo walking missions were complete the astronauts would bring dust back into the cabin and it was described as a gun-powdery smell. Buzz Aldren said the moon smells like ashes from the fireplace with a bit of water poured on them. The smell described by the astronauts is called “Lunar Aroma”. How romantic!
When my son, daughter, and myself tried Aimez-moi tonight we all had different words to describe it, of course. I bring up the Lunar Aroma because my son said this has a note of the dying embers of fireworks in the grass. When he mentioned that I did notice it had an acrid and sour smell that was not unpleasant, but curious, just like gunpowder or the Lunar Aroma I imagine to myself.
First notes from our family go like this- Daughter: “It smells like JuJuBes!” Eldest Son: “It’s a Halloween mask made of rubber and plastic.” Me: “I’m getting lots of Cardamom, Civet (not my thing. at all!), and Anise.
The moments pass and we smell the base- Daughter: “Licorice!” Eldest Son: “The embers of fireworks burning grass, and some leather.” Youngest Son: “It smells like cereal!” Husband: “Hmmm. It smells like… a prairie.”
I agree with everything my family has noted. Also, and I say this with such endearment, like Vanilla Fields grew up, moved to Paris, walked home past the licorice factory, and into a downdraft of gunpowder.
The more I wear it the more I like it. I can definitely see myself layering this with gourmand scents that are heavy in vanilla and coconut.
I purchased this as a vintage and once I eat through this mini I may very well procure more.

    Lovely Iris scent by Caron.
Ive tested this in the summer fall and winter and performs better for me in winter. If you want to get a handle on a true iris scent, this is a great one when the heart opens up.
I dont understnad why this isnt more popular.I find it better quality than Guerlain. Caron isnt easily available or visible in the market anymore. Shame their game isnt modernized with these great classics they have in their inventory. Definately a great buy for iris lovers.

Dreamy, a bit dusty violet surrounded with sandalwood, amber and vanilla. Some anise and mint added to make it intriguing. And they really do;) Just like poem written by Keats for his beloved Fanny:
`Bright star, would I were stedfast as thou art—
Not in lone splendour hung aloft the night
And watching, with eternal lids apart,
    Like nature’s patient, sleepless Eremite,
The moving waters at their priestlike task(…)`
Girl is reading this special letter on a blue, flowery carpet in a Jane Campion`s movie .Were they violets? Doesn`t matter.Just a picture.
    Silence, light and smell, fleeting.
Can we catch a moment ? No, we can`t
Everybody says what a beautiful smell it is. Flowers mingled with woodsy notes, a bit powdery, rich in herbal and spicy nuances.Universal scent:suitable for a young fairy, dressed in a long, light dress, thinking where to put a charm with her magic wand as well as for an adult woman who wants to envelop herself in something warm and safe. Not very longlasting and sillage is also moderate. For those who really wanted to like Lolita Lempicka but couldn`t.Romantic, indoor scent creating the atmosphere of unspoken: emotions, words, impressions.
    Beauty in a bottle.

Oh, ok… this is Dominique Ropion, the king of flowers! I should have known! This is relatively new because 1996 is not the Middle Age! It gets me mad how perfumes from 80-90 are now considered “vintage” especially if reformulated! I have no idea if they still sell it and if it’s unreformulated (i doubt so). I have a small splash bottle from 1996 and I find it lovely. It’s a daring perfume, very romantic yet different with star anise and mint in the opening, it gives an initial brisk soon enveloped in beautiful flower heart. There is something dreamy and deeply romantic in this perfume, but not too much for the faint at heart. In spite of initial minty note the blend is lusciously floral in the best DR’s way (think of Amarige, different but still floral-opulent).
Violet is very prominent and linked to mint. I like this one.
It has sillage and longevity. Also the bottle is interesting, but the jus inside is the jewel.

I feel nearly confident to say there is a common attribute with Caron perfumes: over the course of a single wearing, they only get better with time. Let me clarify—from first spray to last strains of the drydown, a Caron scent shines brightest in the drydown. This isn’t to say their scents are mediocre until they hit their drydown. They are gorgeous from beginning to end, but to use a person as an analogy, young George Clooney was cute but fifty-something George is downright sexy because there is something a bit old-fashioned, classic, and yet timeless about him, if not a bit weathered. If you don’t believe me, Google his name and add the word ‘young’. Caron is the perfume world’s Mr. Clooney.
Before I derail myself with schoolgirl adoration, I mention all this because this is no truer than it is with Aimez-Moi. First spray? Really nice and crisp violets. I love violets so I’m okay with this. Throughout the day I kept smelling a subtle aura of spice in the spirit of the classic Old Spice. (Yeah, *that* Old Spice.) I kept shoving my wrist to my nose to see if this was coming from me. I swear I could not smell it in close proximity but when I waved my arms away from me, I got a gentle whiff of that Old Spice-like… spice. Though I associate Old Spice with a person who abused it, in this context it’s so enjoyable.
As of present, I’m reveling in the mesmerizing drydown. I’ve been wearing this scent since 9 a.m. and it is still going strong. I love it more now than I did this morning—and I was pretty smitten this morning. It’s powdery gloriousness. If you’re not a fan of powder, this could make a convert of you. It truly is that good.
All of my flowery praise and adoration cannot adequately describe precisely how beautiful this is. My love for powdery scents hasn’t always been. Ombre Rose was like my gateway powder perfume. The legendary L’Heure Bleue only confirmed my growing love for powder but Aimez-Moi solidified my adoration for all things fluffy and powdery. Try it and see if you don’t become an apostle of all things powdery.

Gives me a feeling for drinking tea with honey and smoking menthol cigarettes in a new leather chair.

I strongly suspect I tried a recent reformulated version.
The opening is muddled. Pleasant but hard to pick out any one note. Maybe violet, maybe spices. This also faded very quickly. Two hours TOPS. probably less. and the Sillage was GIANT.
The entire two hours I was wearing it I kept thinking that it was the epitome of the 80’s. It had the shoulder-pads, teased hair, red lips and everything else 80’s going on.

Very much reminds me of the exquisite smell of Guerlain Météorites Perles and even has some “dusty” feeling to it.

Indead a dream; mint, violet, citrus, liquorice, wood and vanille in a beautiful composition.
It is not a strong smell;on the contrary! To smell this beautiful composition I have to spray a half bottle of aimez moi. While I love modest odors this fragrance is
    volatile as a ….dream

Soft, light, witty, merry, nice. All adjectives that apply to Aimez-Moi.
I am a fan of violet based perfumes (but with something else besides violet) and those in the vein of Aprés L’Ondée and Aimez-Moi which pair violet to a shimmering layer of spices, herbs, woods.
Aimez-Moi is violet without being too “violety” (nothing of the sort of Violetta di Parma, Goutal’s or Penhaligon’s La Violette and even Violette Precieuse by Caron himself which I also love and use), it’s very light and structured, at times it reminds me of Aprés L’Ondée which is one of the very masterpieces in the world.
Spices, anise, mint, merge well with violet so the composition is not too flowery and much more complex.
To be honest I do not like it in spring, I prefer on cold days as today in continental Europe, where the crisp early morning air sings in tune with this Caron simphony giving it an airness that is elegant, not too teenie, not just plain romantic Victorian violette, but very very modern. Love love love it a lot.

Today i received this scent as 100 ml Eau de Toilette…This scent is a real dream – very delicious, subtle, and very unusual. Especially unusual yet beautiful is the round mixture of the violet and mint notes. However, on me it lasts very short and stays very close to the skin. Anyway, like most of the Caron scens, this one is also a masterpiece. Kudo to Caron!

This is one of those perfumes that is very good or very horrible depending on how your skin chemistry is that day, and depending upon how old the bottle you get is.
Aimez-Moi seems to expire quickly (even stored in a dark place) and turns into a sharp, anisic, nose-singeing fiasco. However, when you get a good bottle, or when your skin chemistry works with it, it smells like a creamy golden vanilla with some supporting garden herbs.

This is one gal that is hard to get to know. At first I found her way to stuffy. (Thats the problem I have with coco) She is very reserved and unfriendly. But, I have been going back to my sample here and there, and the last two times I am slowly getting to know her better, my inital hate has went to a like. I love the very beginning the most, I wish that part lasted longer. I get a rush of spice…a nice equal mix of cardamom and anise. I get the violet, but it is very light to me,as the spice is very dominate to my nose.
A little later, the violet comes forward a bit more, the woods and fruit settle in, mingle with the spices, and stays that way for a good 6-8 hours. I never got as much mint as I would have liked, a bit in the beginning, giving a wonderful freshness (would have loved it to last longer) But overall, Aimez Moi is really growing on me. She is no Insolence, but very beautiful once you get to know her. Powder n’ spice, and everything nice.
Update…LOVE this! I understand the beauty and full spectrum rainbow of notes in this perfume and we are best friends… Unique classic!

There is a certain perfect balance in this scent. It could easily have been too girly and sweet or too powdery and mature, but it ends up being neither of these. It is at once candy-like and medicinal, yet never overbearing. The sweetness is attenuated with some bitter masculine notes to give it a kind of unexpected depth. At the same time, the fragrance never feels overly complex – it is very focused and balanced. I can’t imagine these notes being interpreted in a better way.
    EDIT:
And, while wearing (vintage) L’Heure Bleue, suddenly this fragrance’s inspiration becomes apparent. It offers a modern, non-perfumey interpretation of this amazing classic confectionary fragrance. Violet pastilles, licorice, marzipan, and spice drops set your mouth watering.

An interesting scent..opening is tart Jolly Rancher apple violet hard candy. Sillage is a shy violet, and it only lasts a few hours. I find it more interesting than violette-menthe by JCB…..probably because Caron fragrances typically consist of several chapters; rarely are they a short story. This review is for a recent EDT. I would love to smell the pure parfum or it’s predecessor, N’aimez que moi.
Lovely easy to wear fragrance with some intrigue. Violet lovers MUST try this one.

Would make a good, non-offensive day time scent. Fresh, feminine with a classy edge. But I think it smells much better when layered with another perfume – preferably something more smoky and complex. On it’s own, it’s lacks complexity, instead it is pretty and sweet but rather linear, it doesn’t really change from start to finish. The sillage is lovely to begin with, then after 2hrs or so lays close again to the skin. The staying power in edt form is average – nothing to write home about. I got about 4 hours wear out of it before it vanished.

  25. :

    4 out of 5

I can’t make up my mind if I want Aimez Moi or not. I’m not very found of the opening of the edt. Too much of everything and actually a bit headache inducing. But then, after about an hour it developes into a beautiful fairytale fragrance. A pixie’s scent :). At this stage i love it, and I think it resembles Lolita Lempicka a lot BUT it smells much better, more varying from the touch of both citrus and mint.
During the next stage it starts to fade and I’m not very pleased with either the projection or the duration of this scent. But the heartnotes, which lasts a couple of hours, are to die for.

The reviews before me have said it all. This is an unusual perfume. At first, I smell mint and a slight hint of lemon. Not unpleasant, but … we are not talking about mouthwash here. Getting beyond the initial surprise, it becomes a skin scent. Baby soft, baby gentle, powdery, you can bury your nose in the arm and be delighted. So, do I like it ? Like it, yes. Love it, not really.
One thing is certain, one can spray this on lavishly. It behaves like a body mist. Get some on the clothes, too, and the whole impression is fresh and delectable. There was a similar pointed fragrance long ago, Anais-Anais. Anais is stronger. Aimez-moi is softer. After a while, all I can smell is Iced Green Tea. Not bad. Unique.
Perhaps I can layer this fragrance on top of something – to give it more of a base – this effect is minimal and ethereal. A mist of Green Tea.

  27. :

    3 out of 5

Aimez Moi is a most unusual scent. On me, the mint is VERY strong from beginning through the drydown. Mint mixed with the liquorice flavor of star anise, and soft spices gives this frag a sweet aspect. It ranges from a fresh minty opening blast to a not too sweet tasty candy heart that doesn’t last long on my skin. Then the drydown envelopes mint with softly blended incense spices. There are violets, but on my skin this is not a flowery floral scent at all. It’s more minty, fresh, softly spiced and dry.
I’ve never tried anything like Aimez Moi before. The long lasting drydown reminds me of spicy mint chai tea….emphasis on MINT. Aimez Moi lasts a good 12 hours on my skin, and wears close to skin after the first 10 minutes.
I’ll use Aimez Moi when I feel like wearing something “very very different.” People of all ages who like truly unique fragrances, would enjoy wearing Aimez Moi.

I have been longing to try this after all the beautiful reviews written. Finally got my bottle thanks to JazzBirdSinger!! I didn’t like it at first sniff but I have learnt to give scents a chance and I am thoroughly glad that I have. It’s gentle spices of cardamom and anise that are very obvious, with citrus and the violet leaf a little muted but still noticeable. I can’t seem to find the violet flower in this but it doesn’t matter as this is a truly beautiful scent. It does turn slightly sweeter in its drydown but not sugary sweet for those who abhore such scents. The version I have is the EDT and although I usually dislike them for being weaker, I have to say this formulation is strong enough to hold its own throughout the day. It stays close to the skin on me but a few more spritzes should take care of the projection I believe. This is worth a sample and since it’s discontinued and hard to find, I would recommend snapping this up if you find it anywhere. It’s worth a study and time. I can’t rate it as one of my favorites but I can see why many people have. It’s quality in a bottle and then some. I can’t think of anything that quite smells like it.
I have to add that every time I sniff this I am reminded of old spice stores that have almost completely gone to the ground in my country that is keen to modernize every inch of itself. My mom used to take me marketing for spices for cooking and this really takes me back there.

  29. :

The parfum formulation is even better than the EDT. It’s the same thing, only richer, softer, more blended, with definite licorice notes, fruity citrus and spicy ginger. Beautiful in all formulations

This is an amazing perfume. It was on my wish list, and when I see it on the shelf I immediately bought it without testing..While I was waiting in the line to pay, sprayed a little and WOW, although I was sure that I would love it, but this much, I did not expect. Some fragranticans created an idiom as “love at first sniff”, YES this is it for me..opens as a blast of creamy anise/liquorice combo, a little sweet (but not girly), I get some spices at the beginning but fades away quickly, then it is creamy violets all through. Very warm and young (but not girly, again), a little powdery..Longevity is sooo good, like all day long, and sillage is 7-8 out of 10. Makes me happy and I feel like I can never get enough of it 🙂

WANT! I had a tiny sampler of this and can’t get it out of my head. It is so unique, so elegant. You wear this listening to moody jazz on a rainy day, drinking tea and eating a decadent pastry, wearing a lavendar cashmere sweater. I want it if only for the fact it doesn’t smell like fruit punch B&BW gummy bear spritz.

  32. :

    5 out of 5

I’ve fallen for this fragrance, hard! And it’s only my first wearing. It’s a pity that I hadn’t discovered Aimez-Moi earlier.
I love the scent of licorice, although it’s not technically licorice in this composition that I smell, but star anise which has a similar scent. Either way, it’s that licoricey and foody opening that captivated me the instant I applied this fragrance to my wrist. The scent is also sweet, but pleasantly so.
Extra additives of mint and dusty violets, make this blend both unique and ‘to die for’. It’s about time that I explored the Caron range a bit more, especially if this is what they have on offer. I’ll also add that the online prices for Caron are too good to pass up.
Perhaps this fragrance is an acquired taste, seeing that the reviews are fairly mixed. I’m counting myself as one of its fans. There’s a good dose of violets in Aimez-Moi, however they’re a bit heavier than you may be used to, with a slight medicinal edge. I suppose I’m a sucker for loud violet scents. Guerlain’s Insolence EDP is another sweet, heavy violet favourite.
The way in which each note blends with one another is divine. It’s complex and yet so smooth. By the drydown, Aimez-Moi is delightfully warm and all ‘buttered-up’ with vanillary woods and green spiciness. It truly smells magical on the skin.
The sillage is strong, but not too strong, and the longevity, well, there’s nothing bad to say about that. Caron constantly delivers, and from what I’ve tried from their range so far, I’ve come to realise that every scent is unique. Aimez-Moi has become one of my new Autumn favourites.

  33. :

    4 out of 5

Aimez-Moi has always reminded me of Amelie: sweet, french, all innocent and fragile, yet full of dreams and energy.
The opening is scathingly sweet, like a whiplash, yet oddly refreshing. Then I get the impression of (violet?) gummy bears for a while. Once that impression goes away, I’m left with a creamy, woody, powdery, intensely violet heart that just fades away slowly with time. The sweetness hangs over the composition throughout but it’s not as tooth-achingly sweet as in the first hour. Despite the woods, spices and sweets, this feels clean and cooling.
The lasting power is also really good, I can always smell the last whispers of it at the next shower.

  34. :

Aimez-Moi came out back in 1996 and it wasn’t a love at first sight, more like a love after a second sniff. I remember sampling it at Nordstrom’s and thinking “wow, this is not good”. Now I know what notes are in this, I realized that it was the initial notes of cardamom, star anise and mint that almost knocked me off my feet and led to my negative reaction. I went home not giving it another thought, not realizing that some of the Aimez-Moi gotten on the sleeve of my winter coat I was wearing. Next morning I was putting on my coat and I realized that something smelled wonderful-warm, rich and slightly green but what was it? I realized that this was the only scent I sampled that day and figured if it smelled this good later, I had to try it again. I did and this time I let it mellow out on my hand and yes, there it was, that wonderful scent. I bought it, used it all up and went through several bottles of it until one sad day I couldn’t find it anymore.
Few years later, I managed to find it online and not only it had a different bottle, I heard that it was reformulated. I just bought another bottle online and it seemed like the same scent.
I find it hard to describe because it’s a floral and yet, its not like any other floral that I smelled before-its lightly green, warm, rich with a hint of woods and had just enough sweetness to stop it venturing into bitter territory. The best word to describe this scent is “golden”-its rich, elegant, and classy. For me, this is the most elegant scent I have ever smelled. I am not a floral lover, usually preferring sweet candy, fruity and gourmand fragrances but this scent have captured my heart
P.S. Drydown is really the best part of this scent so don’t let top notes put you off

    Love at first sniff:)
Powdery violets, sweetness of anise, hints of minty freshness wrapped with blooming spring flowers. Such an amazing scent. I’m so glad I ordered a sample, soon to own the real deal:) It smells better than I would’ve imagined.
The best part part is that it smells super awesome from beginning to end, some 5-6 hours later.
Definitely do love it for what it is:)

This is such a jewel of a perfume. It is a diamond in the rough. The smell is sparkly and bright. It goes through a continuous evolution for hours and hours of wear, constantly evolving into a different variation of the same notes…amazing. This is a Violet, Anise, Mint & Cardamom flavored gourmet confection. I get lots of slightly sweet and candy like violets. Anise and Mint make this as sparkly as diamond dust. Amber, Cardamom, Heliotrope and Tonka in the drydown sweeten this tea time dessert up. It is the most refreshing sweet smell I have ever smelled, yet it is not citrus-y, nor is it like powdery, or soapy. It truly makes me feel like a diamond. A wet diamond is how I would describe this. It is sweet and bubbly, bright and gorgeous.
Update: This is my new spring and summer favorite. It is so refreshing, juicy, and sensually edible. This is not “gourmand” in the way of someone scarfing down a vanilla cinnamon cookie; this is Gourmand in the way Marie Antoinette would have eaten her sweets; savoring every bite in between sips of tea, nice and slowly, and not at all in a rush as if in a fit of hunger. Yes, this has a “vintage” and “simple” feel, like days gone by, but is in no way dated, or”old” smelling.
Extremely feminine, and the silage and longevity are PERFECT. It dries down to this Magical, Enchanting scent of amber and heliotrope, all the while the anise, mint and violet are peaking through, and it constantly feels like you are smelling a new scent. I swear every hour or so, I say to myself “what IS that beautiful smell?” and realize…that it is Moi :-), evolving yet again.
Truly Magical Summer night and Spring day scent. This is mysterious, but not in a domineering or intimidating way; it is an inviting mystery, like a hidden secret garden. It is not a second skin, comfort food scent, or an accessory fume, it is an aura scent. You get whiffs of it every time there is a light breeze, and every time it is just DELICIOUS. I will always keep this one around for as long as I can. Also, it is very uncommon 🙂
Update 2013: This is officially the perfume that I get the most inquiries and compliments on by strangers. Unique and Lovely!

This is my first Caron. If Aiméz-Moi represents a certain “Caron-ness”, I now declare myself a collector!
It opens with very distinct anise/liqorice (I thought I didn’t like liqorice, but maybe I should reconsider that).
It quickly becomes slightly bitter and very spicy. Lots of violets, but I don’t find it overall very floral, more aromatic.
It turns sweeter quite fast, but it seems like a transparent sweetness that shifts with the spicy bitterness.
The best way I can explain it is that it’s like when I sniff my wrist, it’s a very dramatic spiceyness, I breathe once more, and there’s the sweet, romantic overlay. Next time the same happens. I don’t find it girly, but mystrious, dramatic and very unique. I just love it. Really.
edit: I must have been born under a lucky star. Every single time I bought a perfume blind, I’ve never been disappointed. Or maybe it’s the reviews pages that do the trick…
Edit again: The lasting power is incredible! 12 hours and more. That’s unususal on my skin. I believe it would last 2 days on other people! Best thing is that the drydown stays spicy.

OMG what a Beautifull and sweet daytime scent this is !! Soft, alluring, sweet but not candy like sweetness. Totally unrated imho. Very good with quality, long lasting.. wow. Very beautifull floral, did not notice oriental part, this is that soft and well balanced. Definitely I would recommend to try this Gem.

Very dry scent of anise, violets and mint. I like it a lot and I’m thinking to get a bottle, very fresh, tea-like scent. Reminds me of a rainy day.

Strong licorice smell on the beginning, a little bit minty. It smells fantastic and magical on my mother, she has black hair and blue eyes.

Dear tzoutzou78 – you have my most grateful thanks and I wished I could hug you right now for introducing me to this scent!
This is LOVELY and one of the most perfect fresh, joyful and vigorating but equally classy orientals I have ever smelled! What sophistication!

I’m pretty desperate to try this one , I am loving the descriptions by other members 🙂
I have a thing for VIOLET at the moment , and I’m intrigued by JazzBird’s comment of “finally, a violet perfume that isn’t completely bitterly green or overloaded with sugar!”.
Im having great difficulty finding this in the UK. Of course i could order online from 1 of the big international fume sites ,but as its been described as a “weirdo ” i need to test first.
Im also very keen to try – Apres L’Ondee.
Please if anyone has any tester vials to swap or sell , PM me !!

    It is lovely!
A really feminine fragrance, revealing an interplay between violets and anise, on the verge of becoming gourmand, but the final feeling is more floral wood. I cannot discern the stated bergamot, maybe just a little at the end of the whiff’s tail, adding to the complexity of the composition. On me, and to my liking, the violets are a bit more prominent, rendering it sweet, dry and feminine, and the shy wood deepens it, contributing to a soft and yet mysterious dry down- but still very pretty!
It smells indeed like Apres L’Ondee, which I also adore, but Aimez moi is darker and woodier, less fragile, with more persistent sillage, whereas ALO captivates with its ethereal pastel watercolours.
It means love me, and I love it not just because it says so, but because it smells so!

I”m wearing an EDT version adverstised as ‘vintage’. Caron toilettes tend to make me nervous, and this one confirmed my anxiety.
This just stinks. I know that does’nt make for a good review, so let me be more specific:
Picture a non-descript flower carried under someone’s rank arm pit for a day. Roll the flower in saw dust, let an alley cat p*ss on it, set it in the attic to collect dust for a year, and there you go.
I can’t even in good conscience fragrant my toilet with this, and that’s saying something considering my bf had beans last night.
Whew, the door should have been shut on this stinker a while ago.
