I don’t quite love this perfume, but it’s become very high on my Like meter. I can see how some people describe this as masculine, it does have that sort of impact, but very lightly so, without the vetiver, lavender and other things common in men’s juices that this one doesn’t have. I love the mandarin and lemon on top of the jasmine, musk and other base notes. I find it’s kind of a pick-me-up perfume, I always feel better when I put this on. It’s feminine without smelling like a flower garden, and comfortable to wear. It’s what I’d consider a good summer oriental, not too heavy or sweet to wear in the summer, but great for any season. Unique too, I don’t really have anything else like it in my collection.

This fragrance is quite discernibly woody in aroma even though not even one wood note is listed in its olfactory pyramid. Having become quite sensitive only in the last few years to the presence of Iso-E Super in fragrance, I am just now detecting it in Adrienne Vittadini, a fragrance I have worn on and off for nearly two decades.
I suspect, too, that the masculine quality that others pick up in this perfume is an accord consisting of cedar-like Iso-E Super, amber, and musk — and, yes, it does smell quite a bit like men’s cologne to my nose as well.

I love most of AV’s perfumes, but this one was a little too masculine for me. It reminded me too much of my husband’s aftershave. He was more than happy to take it off my hands.

I wore it many years, , I don’t find anything masculine about it, and I even dislike unisex!? It is a light bright floral, I always got compliments when I wore it…it had a certain quality about it, nice!!more floral than oriental, it was light yet had a warm aura..the type you could wear all year long.. Brings back memories of living in California in the nineties!!

I agree, this could be considered unisex; nothing about the very high-end quality bottle, cap or box looks even remotely feminine, though not necessarily appearing masculine either. I think you get a lot for your money with this one as far as presentation and scent.

This is a very soft and feminine citrus amber as opposed to the very masculine Jesus del Pozo Ambar that I tested this morning this slightly remind me of Ellen Tracy Bronze. This is a only a like for me, it’s a little too delicate and flowery for my tastes.

Adrienne Vittadini’s debut fragrance is a citrus floral without the depth of Shalimar which as it opens it almost seems to evoke. I wouldn’t call this an Oriental and it’s a simple fragrance which does not follow the perfume pyramid of top middle and base notes. It has mostly citrus as it opens, white jasmine flower and lily of the valley white floral scents at the heart and amber at the base. However it does not feel like it has the longevity and sillage of a real perfume like Shalimar. It’s over in about 2 to 3 hours. Not a body spray but also not a perfume more of a light Eau de Toilette. However it’s a refreshing summer scent. I’m starting to enjoy citrus in fragrances. They always lift my spirits and feel so bright and summery and it’s helpful in making me feel like I’m far away from the cold climate in winter in New York. I love the jasmine in this fragrance. It’s stronger than the lily of the valley note. It’s a very feminine sexy jasmine. The amber is also really amazing. The price used to be expensive when it was first released but now it’s very inexpensive. People have remarked that it smells like soap but I don’t get that feeling. I will say however that it’s perfect to scent yourself with after a shower. Beautiful and almost forgotten fragrance. I’m glad it hasn’t been discontinued.

Smells like lime and kind of masculine. Reminds me of Irish spring soap.

It seems like a fragrance our brazillian brand Natura would launch in their sporty Kaiak line. It’s that kind of musky citrus basic thing, it doesn’t excites but it’s comfortable to smell on skin. I think that the floral part is a little bit generic, it doesn’t remind me of any specific flower, it just has a little resemblance with something fruity and floral. I get a slightly sweet citrus accord with something which gives it an astringent and almost functional impression, perfect for a shower gel or a crem maube. It could have been better, but it kind of works the way it is as a no brain fragrance.

This is a fresh and lively musky bergamot fragrance. Simple, appealing. For those who enjoy bergamot, this will be a treat; for others, it may smell to masculine.
I was gifted a decant, and am happy to try this scent. Sillage was modest, longevity about 3 hours on a hot day.

picked up a 3.4oz bottle at Ross for $12 for my pretty and what a buy! initial sprays are full of orange blossom and a touch of vodka. it soon just mellows into a beautiful orange cream sickle scent and is absolutely lovely. the sillage isn’t huge but it does last very softly. elegant perfume.

Where Shalimar has many dimensions, this one is simple. It really reminds me of Obsession knockoffs, Avon Mezmerize, and perhaps the Santa Fe drugstore line. I’m a little letdown. The bottle and scent are so masculine, you could give this to your guy for Christmas and he wouldn’t have a clue.

I loved the citrusy amber start which immediately settles into a lovely very light & airy jasmine/musk. This is a beautiful feminine, dreamy fragrance. So light that it would be perfect for an office or professional setting. Not a power scent, but just for when you want to feel pretty. I’m not a fan of lily on me, but this is so faint that I just catch an occasional whiff of it in the middle notes. I wish this had more staying power on me. It’s so light and airy it almost vanishes completely within an hour. I had to reapply it LIBERALLY so that it stayed with me very faintly a little longer. The bathroom that I sprayed it in, on the other hand still smells gorgeous two hours in. This was a blind buy based on reviews and perfume notes – and the fact that I got a screaming red hot deal on the bottle. I’m glad I have it but once it’s gone, I probably won’t buy another. It just doesn’t last long enough for me – maybe though as a room spray……

Lots of love for this one. The first scent from Adrienne Vittadini is/was a modern take on Shalimar. It openes on a delectible lemon note, complemented by lily of the valley and jasmine, fluffed up and smoothed over with amber and musks. Compares well to versions of Shalimar light. I’m not sure if it is still being made any longer but I found mine in a bargin bin and it’s fantastic.

AV is a very lovely bright and airy Oriental. It’s quite unusual in it’s lightness. It’s a peppy fragrance sure to put a spring in your step. There’s a lot of orangey goodness in this one and some rather delicate LOTV.
My bottle only says AV and is just as pictured above. Sillage is moderate and longevity is 7 to 8 hours.
If you like orientals, but want to try a fresh and bright one, give this a try!

As previous reviewer, I want to mention Amore(which comes in same bottle just different color box) and which unfortunately is NOT in database here(or anywhere).
I found this for few bucks at Ross’s . Couldn’t find notes listd anywhere online. You get initial burst of citrus and green, then it changes into light powdery scent, with hint of green. I am not into those sort of scents so to me it was just ok. I wear it mostly to bed or just lounging around the house.
But it was super cheap for huge bottle.
Perhaps this is one scent that AV wishes that was never made because noone has ever heard about it(or so it seems).

I was skeptical of the mostly positive reviews. Amore is lovely. The amber is not over powering and the fruit in the composition gives it a more youthful edge. I tried it on a hot dry night where it settled immediately into a warm creamy oriental floral that is exceptionally balanced for a bargain fragrance. Does not de-evolve into an old lady scent. Medium duration. Use a light hand when applying. Found at Marshalls for eight dollars. Will grab another if I chance upon it. No unpleasant side effects.

Attn: This review is for Adrienne Vittadini AMORE.
Amore comes in a bottle just like this one. I found a large bottle at Ross or Marshall’s for $10. Since this is not cataloged with Fragrantica, I wanted to weigh in. Amore smells like BS Circus mixed with Taboo. Very nice if that’s what you’re into. I was very pleased.

I love this cologne & did not know until today that it was discontinued. Why oh why do companies quit making wonderful fragrances? I can’t believe this one didn’t have a huge following.

Woody, floral musk is what I experience with this fragrance. Nothing oriental about it unless you want to liken it to the genteel, quiet nature I like to associate to many Asian ladies, old and young alike. It has wonderful longevity and retains its woody sweetness at least 6 hours. Decidedly feminine. Worth a try.

This feels timeless and exudes an understated elegance. I get a buttery orange, musky, soft white floral impression that is superb.
Update: I found my ‘signature’ fragrance. I get so many compliments when wearing this. Also, the staying power is fantastic and has great silage.I have come to find that if a fragrance is considered ‘animalic’, it suits me.

I adored this perfume. It is no longer available fresh. Must be original and fresh. Cannot find anything comparable. Miss it soooo much.

Adrienne Vittadini is exquisite, you spray it and it is what it is. Sweet crisp citrus, musky lollies, touchess of Jasmine, heaven to my nose, Love the stuff.
Lasts very well on my skin, recommend this to any oriental, citrusy lover out there.
Stunning fragrance for me, I love this stuff………xx

Wow….I found a .24 oz parfum for $8 at a local perfume outlet in the mall. Now how can you pass that up?
The top smells almost exactly like Shalimar (current version EDT) to me with a hint of green herb. Slightly powdery lemon drink but I get more orange in this one, it seems crisper and there’s no vanilla.
I’m into the drydown and I’ve got to say I’m loving this stuff! Musky jasmine with that little bit of citrus….mmmmm….
My only criticism…even in the parfum concentration it doesn’t last very long. But it’s lovely while it lasts!

Another great one from Annie Buzantian, Adrienne Vittadini is a well-bred floral.
Classy, mature, clean and utterly feminine.
Jasmine blends with lemon in perfectly balanced proportion. Just a tiny hint of amber smoothes and shapes the composition.
    A truly harmonious perfume.
Looking at the notes, you may think it could be similar to Trouble. No, it isn’t. I’d say that this is a step further in sophistication and simplicity at the same time.
    Pure elegance.

My favorite of the late 90s early 2000s. I thought I didn’t like orientals but this one is light enough and I love it. I’m hoarding my last bottle.
