Description

Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo – Fico di Amalfi was presented in 2006 as a floral-fruity fragrance for women.

The top notes bring the Italian breeze from the Mediterranean, with fresh and sweet notes of bergamot, orange, luminous lemon, dazzling bittery grapefruit and mandarin wood. A heart is composed of fig, pink pepper and jasmine, while a base is full of musk, cedar and fig milk.

It comes as 60ml and 120ml (2 and 4 oz)EDT with matching body care products.

I love this! Takes me back to the Mediterranean when the summer heat warms up the fig tree and the aroma of fig is in in the air. That hot summer fruit brings me relaxation and to my childhood. Dreams of the rocky beaches, palms, fig trees, oleander, olive trees, calamari, plum rakija, wedding folk music in the background, friends and family. This scent just reminds me of love, the love of life.

I’m a man in his early 40s who usually gravitates towards smokier, woody, vetiver fragrances, but I do love a good citrus note as well.
Of all the two dozen or so frags I own, this one makes me feel the happiest. It’s like sunshine and Mediterranean orchards in a bottle. The grapefruit opening is bright and lovely and beautifully balanced with a slightly sweet fig note behind it, flanked by a subtle, warm jasmine. I really don’t understand what some of the reviewers are smelling, but this puts a smile on my face every time. My wife bought this for herself, but it sits in my collection most often.

I grabbed a carded sample of this. Don’t know if it’s turned or something, cause this stinks. Smells like body odor mixed with citrus and fig. Makes my nose scrunch up in disgust every time I smell it. It smells a little better once it dries down, but by then it’s almost gone.

Scent: 3/10 (fresh, slightly green, boring, nothing special)
Projection: 1/10 (you might as well wear nothing)
Longevity: 2/10 (if you stick your nose close to where you sprayed, you might smell something)

Quarto Giorno: That is “Day Four” in Italian
For my fourth day of Acqua di Parma samples I’m trying Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo – Fico di Amalfi. That is probably the longest name on all of Fragrantica. If you find a longer name message me. I tried this one and it smells wonderful. I really like the fresh smell and what I guess is the fig smell is incredible. After a few hours I’m smelling a bit of pepperish smell and the wood. I really like it but, not enough to buy anything more than a sample. It smells very similar to Bruno Fazzolari’s Monserrat.

FDA is a lovely summer/hot weather fragrance…and worth adding to one’s summer rotation. FDA is definitely a unisex fragrance, and doesn’t smell like a full-on woman’s perfume.
With that being said, FDA is excellent for beach, vacation, casual, dating, and business situations. FDA projects extremely well for the first 1-2 hours than starts to dial back down into a solid performing skin scent.
Here’s the the truth, while the top notes are pleasant, they do have somewhat of a “generic” and “cheap” smell to my nose. However, FDA’s dry down is when the real beauty of this fragrance takes shape; so you’ll want to give this fragrance an honest wearing to experience all phases of its beauty. Longevity and performance of FDA is consistent with most every other (newer) citrus and/or aquatic fragrance that’s on the market.

So I own 2 5oz bottles of this stuff if that tells you anything lol and I’m a man who loves this stuff and gets compliments like CRAZY with it… first time I smelled it was on my buddy at work and I was sold instantly, love at first sniff lol went and purchased a bottle that night… this really doesn’t smell like a MANs fragrance, it’s not a super sexy manly fragrance, but it just smells so beautiful and juicy and invigorating… this turns heads like crazy with me and it actually performs pretty good you may have to go a little more on sprays but you can get away with it with this one because it is lighter… women and men always ask me what I’m wearing, that I smell so good.. you just can’t go wrong with this

I get orange peel, which mellows out, but nothing to recommend it.

I don’t get much citrus notes. I wish i did. All i get is fig fig and then some more fig. Dries down into a luxury fig soap. Unfortunately not for me. I feel like a walking fig tree :). I will stick to my Cedro Di Taormina which is an amazing spring summer scent.

Nice citrus scent, very fresh, more manly than feminine. I could smell also some greens that are not listed. Sophisticated and elegant.

Fico has the same problem as the rest of AdP’s Blu range – hit and miss top notes with very similar heart and base. Fico has a more ‘young’ smell than the others.

Fico di amalfi is soooo beautiful. As others said, it instantly teleports you to italian beach. I bought it for my GF, but I wear it as well in hot summer days. Only downside is performance. Even though this one is one of the best performing fragrances from blu mediterraneo line, it is still subtle. But prices for 150 ml are great, so you can over-spray and achieve better performance.

    Oh this is just beautiful.
I tried this after being disappointed in Z Zegna Milan’s fig perfume, and wanting to try something that isn’t Philosykos (and doesn’t have its price tag).
Turns out, I like this considerably more than Philosykos, which I’d previously considered the standard for fig perfumes. This is so beautiful it stings a little – I grew up in a small place in the Mediterranean and this smells like home. It’s very much a true scent of the Mediterranean flora in the summer – the fig is green and slightly bitter, there is no floral or earthy/musky quality to it (which a lot of other fig fragrances, including Philosykos, do). It’s just very green, fresh, uplifting and tart thanks to some bergamot and grapefruit in the background. If you’ve ever burned LAFCOs Fig candle, this smells very much like it.
Sillage is average and I’d say longevity also average to slightly below average. If this was a stronger/more resilient perfume it might have become my favorite, but even so: this is stunning and probably a must if you like a really FIG fig perfume (not floral, not too sweet or fruity, not musky, not earthy, not gourmand and ‘here’s a french dessert that includes fig, but in perfume form’).

This is nice. A citrus grapefruit start. A sweet sharp edge. It doesn’t last long and doesn’t project well. Best for summer. Blue waters. Green grass. Cloudless pale blue sky. Bright sun. Lovely.

Outstanding fig in this….I usually do not go for this “type” of scent, but it is truly stunning, while being clean and fresh, and thank goodness NOT aquatic/marine for me. This is going on my “must have ” list. A+ scent.
The blending of notes is superb.

Smells delicious and clean. I wore this all summer long, it is sweet and fresh at the same time. Incredibly vivifying, it brings a wave of breezy shores, fizzy citrus, juicy fig and green leaves. Pure joy in a bottle!

Lovley fig frag with a big citrus opening. The fig is more green soapy figs than ripe fruit. Subtle jasmine, but I get no cedar, pink pepper or benzoin at all
Notes above list sweet but I find this quite dry and green lacking any sweetmess other than fresh citrus zing. Unfortunetly this briliant crisp green scent turns soapy then fades in a few hours : (

I just received a sample of this. I own Diptyque’s Philosykos EDP and thought this would be something similar, but man this is entirely different take on fig scent. It started off green, somewhat similar to Philosykos but it stayed green way longer; when the cedar notes comes out it just smells of the perfect summer. Incredibly refreshing and fruity, I can see myself getting a bottle of this good stuff.

I got far too much orangey rather than grapefruit citrus for a couple of minutes – I’m guessing this is the ficon – but then the fig hurries in and takes over. And what great fig it is. About half an hour after spraying there is a glorious, rich but soft fig with good sileage and it smells exactly like the matt, almost powdery skin of ripe, bursting figs. Below that an almost licoricey depth. This is a male fragrance but after the opening, there’s nothing very masculine about it (I think it is a perfect unisex fragrance) – it is just dry and green, not even a little bit sweet ((Roger & Gallet fig gives you fig to begin with then settles into a sickly candy sweetness). I think perhaps I tend to go for sweeter perfumes in general but I hate sweetness with fig. I would love to smell this on a man’s neck. I’m more than happy to walk around wearing it myself.

Fig? I smell peach! Lemonadish, sweet peach.

A fresh, tart fig leaf. Opens with a juicy, refreshing blast of grapefruit over a pleasant, musky fig leaf. Has some heft and weight though, and the jasmine smooths out the edges nicely. I don’t usually like fragrances with a lot of fruit in it but this one is a winner. The perfect summer fragrance.

  23. :

    3 out of 5

An explosion of sweet, sparkling sun-ripened bergamot, lemon and grapefruit turns milky and slightly floral. Jasmine notes are subtle but help create a well rounded fragrance. Within minutes fig nectar and fig wood take control. The citrus and fig pair beautifully. I don’t get too much cedar from this.
Nothing like Diptyque Philoskyos which is far more green, woody, milky.
This fragrance is bright and sparkly, fresh, perfect paired with hot weather!
Not long lasting but exhilarating during its short life span.

I don’t usually go for this kind of fragrance. That being said, I always have a green/citrus/refresher in my collection. My Chance Eau Verte was running out and I was craving something new. I hopped over to Holt Renfrew in Montreal and had a chance encounter with this gorgeous fragrance. FIco di Amalfi is a dry fragrance. It is not sweet, but it is not bitter. It is refreshing, yet sophisticated. Clean, yet chic. I adore this frgrance not only for its smell, but also for it’s beautiful blue packaging. I will look in to more AdP scents in the future; I am disappointed I didn’t look in to this house sooner! My only complaint is the longevity (that is to be expected with this type of fragrance). A big fan of a beautiful fragrance and I recommend it to all!

  25. :

Zesty grapefruit and fig. Fico di Amalfi is sweeter, fresher and lighter than most of the other well-known niche fig scents, but ultimately less satisfying than its greener, woodier and creamier cousins. I’d quite like to drink a cocktail that smells like this, however. Mmm.

This is my favourite fig gragance. It is simply amazing. I get lots of complimets with it. My wife loves it.

  27. :

    4 out of 5

Such a gorgeous light fragrance. Unlike the other fig fragrances which I find are more bitter with the actual leaf smell taking centre stage, this is more the actual fig. For the price though, this stuff is basically scented water. So sad that it has no staying power. An hour or two, tops, and that’s being generous. Please come out with an intense or perfume version; it would seriously be a top shelf fragrance.

    Melon, soap, sweetpeas.
Reminds me of the smell of The Body Shop in the early 90s.
Not a massively sophisticated fragrance – definitely more feminine than I am comfortable with, and I am happy wearing some women’s perfumes.

Absolutely gutted on this one. The opening is breath taking and is so juicy and delicious and it immediately shot on to my to buy list. However, it has one extremely negative aspect. The performance. It struggled incredibly in an attempt to reach the 4 hour mark and i think it pretty much fizzled out on 3 hours. I really do love this one but can’t buy a bottle of something that does not last. I would of been fairly content with at least 4 hours but it can’t even muster that for me. Massive shame!

A couple of years ago I was traveling around Turkey in the summer, and while visiting Ephesus I got a bit sick from the heat at the terrace houses. I laid down on a rock in the shade of a fig tree behind them, and as I was recovering, I noticed the loveliest smell coming from the tree when the breeze blew through the leaves, reviving my spirits as I sipped my water. This fragrance captures that scent so realistically, and preserves the memory of my Turkish adventure in a bottle. This is not long lasting at all- one hour, two max, but is a lovely refresher throughout hot summer days.

Fig fruit is not something you smell on people every day. In my experience testing other fig fragrances (Philosykos, Premier Figuier, Figuier Ardent, etc.) no two are exactly alike, and so they each have their own distinctive merits if the flavor suits you. In this case, AdP Fico di Amalfi is an olfactory transportation to the sun kissed coast of Amalfi, which is just south of Naples.
This fragrance is less about the tree/leaves than the sensation of catching the enticing scent of the warm, plump figs on the Mediterranean breeze. It’s an iteration of the Italian experience of figs in summer. By contrast, the classic Premier Figuier from L’Artisan Perfumer is a vision of a French country market, where you stop to smell a wicker basket of freshly cut figs with leaves still clinging to the stems.
This is no great “masterpiece” fragrance, but it has always resonated with my love of the Italian coastline. It is true to the AdP Blu style, and refreshing for those who eschew the ordinary. I was lucky enough to obtain a bottle well below retail price, and I am lucky that my chemistry makes it last 3-5 hours close to the skin. It may not for everyone, so perhaps consider a large bottle if you love it. Speaking of which, don’t blind buy this. Niche prices may lead to disappointment if you don’t know what you are getting into.
I give this 10/10 for achieving what I believe AdP intended, and a healthy 7/10 in the overall fragrance universe.

It is a high quality fragrance, great for spring and summer days during casual settings…however and just this simple…NOTHING COMPARES TO PHILOSYKOS…it is just a more natural, juicy and realistic smell
I must admit they are like 85% close though…

Tested on my wrists and a paper at the counter of ADP in John Lewis department store today. I expected the similarity of Diptyque’s ‘Philosykos’ but I felt this smelled much fruitier than Philosykos that becomes slightly ‘woodier’ with a hint of coconut-milk later. Then I started seeing the resemblance between this and Hermes’s Un Jardin En Mediterranee.
Very refreshing fragrance for summer but I also found wearing this a bit difficult for men.

I have tried and reviewed 100’s of fragrances, and Fico Amalfi is the best, most natural burst of fruity goodness!
So let me describe this fruity experience.
This is mostly a grapefruit fragrance, a tart sour sweet natural grapefruit.
It’s not #1 note in the fragrantica pyramid, because of the name of the fragrance is Figs of the Amalfi, so people voted mostly for fig.
The fruity opening however is more than grapefruit, you get a nice medly of fruits, the fig fruit and orange nicely round of the citrus with some fruity sweetness.
After the fruity burst settles some, but it stays throughout, you get more of the light woody notes, fig tree and cedar and a hint of musk perhaps.
I have tried the other fig frags from Hermes, Dyptique, L’Artisan Parfumers.
This is the most fruity, more citrusy, less figgy.
So this is a great Summertime frag, I keep a bottle in my car, and am using it a lot in the Spring, It is allways bright and uplifting, and one of the most pleasant fruity fragrances out there.
The quality of notes is great, but the performance is poor to average even for a freshy. You can overspray with this one to get better longevity. You can tell the quality of notes is good when you can over spray and there is still nothing synthetic smelling. That is the case with Fico.
    Rating: 8.5/10

I really must get myself a big bottle of this one!
I was given a whole bunch of tester bottles and have also sprayed this on at times when I go to the department store.
I have gotten compliments from friends when wearing this, men and women.
But the main thing for me is the immediate transportation to the summers in Italy I’ve such fond memories of.
I spent about 2 weeks for 12 years in a historic house (nowadays a foundation for artists residency amongst other things)in Anacapri, the top of the island of Capri.
The house is surrounded by an enormous, stunning garden, with breathtaking views of the sea.Herbs grow all over, lemontrees, grapevines, laurel, giant potted hydrangeas and oleanders in a distance outside the gate, various pines up the mountainside.
A high location flooded with light, the soft seabreeze, and just outside the veranda:
    an enormous fig tree!
Picking plump, fresh, green figs for breakfast right off the tree, is an ultra-sensual experience with the fig milk seeping out and the scent that is unlike anything else really.
Natural sublte sweetness and always fresh in flavour, ripe figs from the tree is nothing like the chilled imported fruit we get up here in Scandinavia, I can’t enjoy them now at all.
The bay of Sorrento is close to Amalfi, and boy did they get it right!
I’m not a big fan of sweet and fruity fragrances, I just don’t fancy smelling like a slice of melon or peach or apple or a coconut fir that matter. (What am I, thirteen?)
Often twith he added sweetness and/or spices it eqalls what the English would call pudding.
I am not anyones dessert, sweetmeat or piece of cake 😉
However citrus and especially grapefruit I do find refreshing in summer.
Bergamott notes are always lovely and go well with many basenotes.
Butwith Fico di Amalfi, Acqua di Parma have captured the fresh green fig in it’s most lovely unadulterated form, and have wizely treated it accordingly:added sugar would ruin this “forbidden fruit”.
I find the scent, intimate, feminine (on me) comfortable, but also lively without being too zippy. Very non pretentious, like a natural smile sprung from within.
It’s easy to wear and love, and although it’s the most wildly popular of the blu Medditeranea line it will never be vulgar.
BUTt also makes me miss all those summers in that enchanted place, which van make me a tad melancholy…
    Gosh!
    Please excuse my ramblings.

Since Philosykos is by now THE fig perfume of reference I would say that this is a lighter more citrusy version of a fig scent. I do not smell the “fig tree” (perhaps Fragrantica meant fig leaves?) here. I much prefer Philosykos because I feel it’s much more realistic. Maybe that ‘realness’ is too much for some and may need to bring it down a notch with some citrus 🙂 Not me!

I had been eyeing this perfume for about a year and half sampling over and over again from Holt Renfrew and Nordstroms, loving it but fearing the femininity of the scent. As I put it on I notice a lot of subtle nuances that make it masculine friendly while keeping all of those fresh summery notes. On a recent trip to Italy I found out this brand is everywhere, carried in nearly every store where perfumes are sold, I found a shop keeper who had it on sale and got the 75mL bottle for only 50 euros! This has become my go to scent as there is nothing very common that smells anything like it and it makes the wearer stand out in a room full of Neroli Portofinos.

The most beautiful fig based perfume… and I don’t mean fig leaves, or greenery. I mean the fruit… and the woody aroma…and the sweetness. The fig is coupled with sparkling citruses which don’t last long…the whole scent takes little time to develop . It isn’t long lasting, nor does it have good silage. Yes, it is perfect, refreshing, natural smelling, beautiful. I tried the Diptique’s fig and I found it dry and woody… the one from L’Artisan , in extreme version was good but a bit flat, the L’eau version was simply green….Anick Goutal ‘s Nimfeo Mio was excellent too, much more crispy and less sweet than this. Now this is a fig based scent where you can actually feel the aroma of the fruits … sure they are still green , but sweet, ripe and soft without being like the dry fruit which is sickly sweet.
Absolutely beautiful and totally satisfying if you like natural, simple scent. The only really negative in this one is the price… which is ridiculously expensive for how light this it. But I don’t regret buying it.

This is my favorite scent by Acqua di Parma. A great composition of fig and citruses. Citruses only give it a fresh undertone, but mostly it’s about fig. And it’s really nice, not an usual weird fig fragrance.
It makes me think of Mediterranean countries, even though I haven’t been there yet.
Such a wonderful scent, I just can’t stop smelling it.
I wish I could only afford a bottle.

I’m quite disappointed of this fragrance. I smell only citrus notes, it is too simple for my taste.
But I’m difficult with fresh-citrus scens as I have high expectations about them, as a good longevity and a bit complexity in the composition to make it reacher.
My skin brings out slightly the fig note at the dry-down and it gives nothing special. What a pity because this note attracted me a lot in the description.

Same impression here as the previous review by Cherry_darling, though good job I only have a sample of Fico di Amalfi and a good full 100ml bottle of Hermes’s jardin. However, the fragrance is very nice and stays beautifully on hubby.

I fell in love with the fresh fig and bergamot elements of this perfume and bought a huge bottle. Lovely summery breezy organic feel. However when I started wearing it day to day I noticed the fresh breezy fig / bergamot scent vanishes fairly quickly and what is left is a very pungent scent that lingers which I couldn’t stand. It may be the benzoin, it’s a musky masculine scent that is almost disturbing.
I have since then been searching for a similar scent but without the pungent undertone, and found Hermes un Jardin en Mediterranee to be a great option.

This one really grabs you from the start. Incredible opening blast of bitterish, ultra-zesty grapefruit/bergamot/citron played beautifully against a very authentic fig note. As the zest quiets down, the bitterish edge is retained to counter-balance the sweetness of the fig. This chord, further given atmospheric complement by a touch of aromatic jasmine and glimpses of cedar and pepper is fairly linear for the rest of the development. Excellent choice for an invigorating summer scent!

A very nice fresh scent with the sweet smell of fig. Whats also nice is the light green accord like your smelling the stem of a plant. It goes very nicely with the fresh sweet smell.

  48. :

Fig is a note in perfumery that can be done amazingly, like this or just horrid. My hat goes off to the perfumer here. They were able to make this unisex and amazingly blended. This is a spring time fragrance through and through.
If you like Philosykos by diptyque then you need to try this. They are not the same fragrance but the fig note in each are very well done and are currently my top two fig fragrances at the moment. There are of course more out there and Atelier has some great offerings I still need to check out.
The longevity on this isn’t anything to write home about, but for what it is you won’t be upset either. I would almost say this is a safe fragrance. Its not going to offend anybody even if over applied, its a great smelling fragrance and is refreshing for time of the year and should not be overlook by any fragrance collector especially

This is on the opposite side of the woody, green, leafy fig fragrances that I prefer. Fico di Amalfi is the fruity, sweeter side of fig fragrances, which isn’t my cup of tea, but if that is your thing you need to try this. Overall a well done fragrance, but I would try before you buy.

This must have been reformulated. I tried it some years ago I think from the cyiinder shaped bottle. It was potent, filled my car as I drove home and my shirt smelled delicious for days. It was juicy and had a bit of darkness in the base. Divine actually. Now (coneshape bottle) it is a cold, fresh light thing without sillage and stayingpower (ok, it stays, but in a thin form). It is nice but not as smashing as I remember it. As many reformulations and new releases it irritates my throat a bit.
    Well, well…

I’m loving the Mandarin wood and a great grapefruit note, it has a little bitterness and sweet citruses making an accord with the green fig. Very enjoyable !
Fico di Amalfi has the green fig leaf smell toned down, it’s very quiet compared to the stark leafy greeness of Hermes Jardin Mediterranee.
The Jardin variation is more unusual, with stronger silage, a stark greeness, but it’s a bit synthetic in a good way, and to sweet at times.
Fico is more natural, not to sweet. I do get the woodiness of the fig tree, the bitter greeness of the leaf, and the creamy milkiness of the fruit, madarin oranges and lemons.
With Fico as others have said, the opening is great and citrusy with the fig leaf. In the mid I get a minty tone which is refreshing and goes well with the greeness. It’s mostly a fig leaf scent more green than fruity, speaking of the fig, the citrus notes are prominent allso. There’s a good balance of fig and citrus.
If you want to try an exquisite fig FRUIT frag, I recommend one of my favorites L’Artisan ” Caligna”. It focuses on the milky fruit aspect of the fig, it’s luscious and so natural.
With some fragrances if you over spray the cheapness of the fragrance come out, or it’s to harsh. What I found of the Mediterranee line is, it’s not bad to over spray. As with Fico, to get the subtleties of the fig and it’s development it’s good to layer or spray generously. It did then begin to transport me to a fig tree grove in the Mediterranean in late August.

wow! this one is a love for me. the initial blast is a sparkling fizzy citrus – reminds me of a grapefruit italian soda. then it dries down to a warm, sensual fig with a hint of woodiness. what I love about it is the fig is so real and tasty, no synthetic plasticky fruit here. Fico di Amalfi is natural, juicy, & fresh. quite unique too!

Today I smelled two fragrances for the first time, both very summery – Clinique Happy for Men and Fico di Amalfi. I have to say Fico di Amalfi is just something out of this world for me. I am extremely happy to have discovered this for myself.

Unique and nice fragrance. Strong fig and bergamot scents. Fresh and airy

This fragrance is absolutely amazing. Juicy grapefruit and fig with a nutty drydown. Although it smells like top notch ingredients, I don’t see myself reaching for it everyday. I like my fragrances weird and unusual.

On my skin, Fico di Amalfi is fruity, radiant, sweet fig and lemon all the way. At the same time, the fig and lemon don’t seem to be the succulent, juicy type, instead, they feel a bit powdery and dry due to the subtle woody undertone.
The fragrance stays rather linear on me. It just becomes more watery and vague as the sweet fig fades into the background. On the test strip, I can smell the creamy sweetness of benzoin, but it’s much less obvious on my skin.
The sillage is soft and the longevity is around 5 hours. As a fig fragrance, I find Fico di Amalfi focusing more on the idea of sweet fig fruit than the realistic representation of the whole tree, such as L’Artisan Perfumer Premier Figuier and Diptyque Philosykos, thus much less green and lacking the coconut-like undertone. Its level of sweetness seems to me on par with Hermès Un Jardin en Méditerranée which is anchored by stronger woody elements, thus more lush and fuller, while Fico di Amalfi feels more straightforward and sometimes reminiscent of fig and lemon candy instead of the actual fruits. I’d recommend it to those who enjoy cheerful sweet fruity fig interpretations such as Roger & Gallet Fleur de Figuier, but would like a slightly less sweet, more natural version.

If you enjoy the scent of fresh figs with added notes of the white sap of broken fig branches along with light floral and citrus notes, look no further. If you are looking for something different for Summer wear, I highly recommend this fragrance.
When the temperature gets over 80 F (27 C), the scent intensifies. Hot weather really does make this fragrance shine! I would suggest using this fragrance only during hot summer days.
Longevity is 4 to 6 hours. Sillage is 3 to 4 feet.

A Pleasant surprize! A scent with a load of Citruses that does not turn male’ish on my skin. Here I find lovely, soft and a bit sweet citrus-notes and I love them. This is a true unisex-scent, on my skin a bit sweet citruses with a hint of pepper and Jasmin. perfect for really hot weather. Longlasting on my skin.

Fico di Amalfi is not so much of a fig-centric fragrance as it is a balance of fig and citrus. The fig note itself is not so sweet, perhaps coming more from the leaf than the fruit itself, and I get mostly bergamot out of the citrus, which is semi-bitter overall, but apparently comprised of several citrus fruits per the note listing.
The pink pepper and cedar are noticeable, as well, to provide spiciness and sweetness/woodiness, respectively. Rounded out to a decent warm weather daytime fragrance, Fico di Amalfi is neither a gourmand nor strictly a citrus, and in that respect is something pleasantly in the middle.
Projection and longevity are again nothing to write home about, decent, on par with the other ADP Blus. Perhaps it’s worth noting that I’ve overall gotten better performance out of the Colonia series than the Blu series.
Something different but not particularly moving, Fico di Amalfi is another angle in the Blu series with another featured note, but not one I’d reach for.

My first fig fragrance. I was introduced to Fig scnet after gotten a sample vial of the infamous diptyque philosykos. After much research, decide to give Fico di Amalfi a try.
Smell like “holiday” to me, all sunny and beaches. Coconut is very light coupled with the full aroma of fig, absolutely introxicating.
Fig is seriously my thing. I will be adding more Fig fragrance to my collection.

Fico di Amalfi is a kinda pleasant, easy to get scent (but forgettable) that’s dominated by citruses and a soft milky fig note. The citruses aren’t groundbreakingly fresh or pretty, the fig is the better part of the scent and gets warmer in the drydown .But despite what the notes suggest the fig is very subtle to my nose. At least i’m happy it’s not ruined by some salad-ish tomato note like un jardin sur le Nil.
That said, with it’s Italian riviera and mediterranean blue waters promise it fails to excite me. It’s quite bland, it’s missing an accord to “summer” it up, if that makes sense. Acqua di gio and D&G pour homme smell way more Italian than this one.
