Description

Armani announces a new summer limited edition of the fragrance Acqua Di Gioia from 2010. The new limited edition Acqua Di Gioia Jasmine appears in June 2015 as a fresh scent of water jasmine.

Invigorating essences of green apple, violet leaf, lemon and bitter green galbanum open the composition. The heart includes water jasmine and jasmine absolute. Musk, brown sugar and cedar end the composition.

Model Emily DiDonato represents this fragrance line again. The fragrance is available as 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

My tentative signature scent…along with DG Light Blue Intense. I just love it when I breathe on it, I feel so happy and refreshed.

    I love this scent!
Very fresh and uplifting, a great energy booster!
    It brightens up my morning.
The only thing is that, it doesn’t last very long.
If you love fresh floral scent, you can try this!
    😉

Smells just like green jasmine tea!
Simple and fresh feminine scent. Other ingredients are very mild, jasmine is a star in this. First two hours it’s quite a heavy to me, but luckily it doesn’t irritate my head. After two hours it becomes calmer and soft, which I really like.
Nice fragrance to spring or summer days, or when you just want to feel fresh.
Lasts on my skin about six hours.

Simply, I like it. A bit pricy since there is a lack of originality, but I guess the price is justfied by quality. The lonevity and silage is very good as well as dry down, there is nothing about it, that irritates me even a bit. (I found a test paper in my bag, being there for 3 weeks and still can smell a beatiful musk!).
It works well with my chemistry too, but guess it is not a case with everyone, so try first.

This is a stunning fragrance coming from someone who generally avoids “green” scents! It shines where the original Acqua di Gioia falls flat for me. I bought this beauty to layer with Bath and Body Works Jasmine & Green Apple body cream. They layer quite beautifully together, as they share a few notes in common, namely jasmine, green apple, violet leaves, musk & lemon. When sniffed directly from the bottle ADG Jasmine smells a bit like artificially flavored green apple lollipops. It’s mildly sweet and whimsical. After it has had a chance to settle onto the skin it eventually dries to a fresh jasmine green tea scent. Perhaps it is the violet leaves that give the “tea” effect. Absolutely refreshing! Sillage is arm’s length. Longevity lasts about 6 hours.

Acqua Di Gioia Jasmine bears a great balance of sweet notes, greenery, flowers and fruit that make it an ideal spring / summer perfume, or as a gloomy weather pick-me-up.
Ultimately, AdG Jasmine arrives under a tree, rich with fantastical sweet apple blossoms, and tart, crisp fruit that drips its watery juice down your chin as you take a bite.
Delicious and bright, not super sweet, but perhaps just a little more than what I personally prefer in sweltering heat. Beautifully aquatic without being too sharp, AdG Jasmine is a charming delight.

I didn’t liked the opening very much. It was a very strong jasmine (and i do like jasmine) + a very sweet green apple. Later, it developed to a nice “pretty garden” smell, when the lemon kicked in. It is a good perfume, but it can easily be nauseating and has a tendency to be polarising. Try it if you like feminine green fragrances, but don’t blind buy it.

So nice flanker, found one bottle in my local perfumery and bought it blind.
Really nice and not very simular to the orig. Great springtime scent. Mine is up for swap, looking for ezzensa.

Sharp and smelt like toilet cleanser in the bottle to my nose, but it worked surprisingly well with my skin chemistry which confused me at the time when I tested it, in Muller, Konstanz, but I was broke that day so I didn’t buy it. After seeing the notes here, it doesn’t surprise me that it worked with my skin chemistry. Even if I’d had the money that day, I still think it would have to be gifted to me. I don’t know why I don’t like to splurge on Spring/Summer fragrances. Maybe I’ll make an exception, next Summer.
The listed base notes and middle note, always work with my skin chemistry.

Really fresh, green, aquatic. The green apple is the star of the show, and it’s wonderful.
The jasmine is really only a whisper in the wind compared to the green apple and galbanum, so if that’s your thing, this will probably leave you wanting.
I didn’t smell any cedar or woodiness. The drydown was generic and unremarkable.
Great longevity though. And definitely very fresh.

Finaly the only Acqua Di Gioia I like! well, I even love this one, even though I wouldnt buy any of its previous flankers which are too masculine and cold for my taste. this is girly, fresh but sweet and romantic with flowery Jasmine, very youthful and modern

Finally an ADG version that works for me!! The green apple and jasmine over power the cedar, which would usually turn very sour on my skin. It’s sweet with a woodsy feel. I imagine a modern hippie chic wearing this, wandering alone in a forest on a warm summer day. I would imagine that she would appear like a forest nymph, silent and peaceful, taking in the natural beauty around her. It’s warm sunshine but retains that lush and seductive power that I feel ADGs always have. I always loved the wet, lush, seductive yet fresh imagery used to promote the original ADG.
Buying this for my birthday because I want to smell like a forest nymph. <3

I love edition of 1995 and wear it sometime at cold rainy weather to feel white watery flowers.
Here it something else sweet minty smell of shampoo, good shampoo…water lily yellow one, very fresh jasmine and some warm sugar.and this warm notes not good for my skin at dry down or at warm weather.:(. Maybe it’s musc like at “bright crystal” turning to savory hot smell .of cleanibg product
    don’t know.
    Love it but find
    Tricky for wearing.

Crisp, fresh green apple layered with a sweet semi indolic jasmine. What I love about this is the jasmine choice. Usually the pick with sour apple would be a clean, soapy jasmine. But this surprises by using a heady, sweet rich jasmine instead. Quite a contrast and it makes it more versatile. Also don’t understand all the comparisons to the original… It is fresh but none of the sweet gum mint that the original has. Great jasmine note, white floral lovers only though… If you dislike jasmine even the crisp apple can’t disguise it.

This is the bomb.com….fresh , femme, fun and spring n summer in a bottle . I love this scent…smells great on me.

Well well well .. the first sniff is different to the original ADG .. it is more fruity and floral .. jasmin and green apple like a mix of DNK Be delicious so intense.. unlike the regular DNK and jasmine. A jasmin a bit synthetic .. but in a 30 minutes .. Tada.. the original ADG is here ….fresh and green .
the drydown reminds me to green tea tropical of elizabeth arden
    in summary…. . i like this version

(personal experience only no disrespect intended)
As a fan of both jasmine and Acqua di Gioia, i found this to be very bland, just another cup of plausible perfume-wannabe. The original ADG has already prominent jasmine so why the redundancy?? i really hope them companies do have some grasps on those flankers.

  18. :

    5 out of 5

Smells like original AdG with a fluffy, floaty jasmine added to the mix. Nothing special, but smells very nice and is a great hot weather fragrance.

  19. :

    5 out of 5

I tried it real fast as I was with husband and kids!! First sniff, not impressed..similar to the original, less fresh, more woodsy…I don’t detect the Jasmine per se, I don’t know, it left me thinking it is rather bland, then I need to retry it!! Maybe it gets better in the drydown…it is very light, linear, very forgettable.
Too many flankers and the quality just drops!?

No no no…this is just wrong. The bottle is gorgeous, but the scent reminds me of pencil shavings soaked in apple juice.

Super strong cedar and musk. That’s all I got, but my skin amps both of those notes 1,000-fold, every time.
A+ for longevity and sillage, though.

Well smells like original ADG it’s hardly any difference…very green and youthful.

I do have the original acqua di gioia and I get many compliments when I’m wearing it. This one is exactly the same however on the dry down it has a more musky scent from the jasmine I assume. Not as in your face like the original a good alternative between the two.

  24. :

    Generic, aquatic…..eau fraiche is better.

  25. :

There’s strongly sharp apple note, which I can’t stand at all. Composition of violet leaf and jasmine isn’t the best either. I really hoped that this one is good, but it’s not in my opinion.
Too aquatic floral for my taste.

What a pleasant surprise! This a the perfect scent of freshness, it opens with a blast of green apple, lemon, cedar and brown sugar. After ten minutes the jasmine comes. I am not very keen on the original, but this one along with Essenza is so lovely. Try this one for summer, especially if you are a green apple lover.

WELCOME TO THE BUBBLE GUM PARTY, CHILDREN!
    _______________________________________________________
Although I’m not a big ‘Acqua di Gio’ fan (the 1995 for men and 1996 for women version), I found the ‘Acqua di Gioia’ surprinsingly interesting. Thus, when I read here that the popular scent would get another flanker, I wanted to try it out.
And today I tried it and was very surprised. It smells like bubble gum, as if it would be the invitation to a children’s pool party. I never heard of ‘water jasmine’ but this must be it.
    Overall: interesting but childish
    Longetivity: – 5/10
    Sillage: huge!(for the first 20 minutes) – 5/10
All in all: 3 out of 10 points.

Green scent indeed. I can smell jasmine, but mainly I can smell a lot of green notes and lemon. It is subtle, quite nice skin scent. I think it can project more in higher temperature so I plan to retest it in summer.

donna APic , it is very similar, but with jasmine addiition. But don`t worry, it is very nice, summery yet distinctive apple and jasmine note.
This frag is the perfect summer pleasure and fun, nothing groundbreaking, just citrusy,jasmine-y ,sugar fun.
    Excellent longevity.

Un gelsomino fresco, ridente, acquatico, reso asprigno da mela verde e da un accenno esperidato.
Evidentemente concepito come fragranza estiva e disimpegnata. Molto semplice e lineare, un tocco fiorito stile CK One Calvin Klein.
Verde spensierato, senza profondità o evoluzione o sfumature interessanti. Adatto ad una ragazza che fa jogging e vuol sentire un aroma gentile.
    Purtroppo come tanti tanti altri.
    Nessuna emozione.
    Sorry.

I received a sample of this. In full disclosure I am not really a fan of heavy floral scents, particularly white floral. The jasmine is so strong it gives me a headache. It never seemed to move past it. It says jasmine on the bottle so no false advertising. I also smelled something “green” which I think is the galbanum.
The silage was more than arms length. The longevity is past 6 hours and to me it still smelled like the jasmine/green notes and nothing else. I had to scrub it off.

Wow, I love Jasmine – I hope I can get this fragrance! It sounds perfect and if the advertising campaign is in any way representative of the liquer inside I cannot wait to try it!
I think I have the original Aqua Di Gioia in sample form, so I will test it out when my current fragrance has dried down to the point where I cannot smell her anymore … to get an idea.
I think I will like this one though, the bottle is super gorgeous, I love green!

ok but water jasmine is not really a jasmine. :/
    it’s like water lily, which isn’t really a lily…
may have to try first tho.
