    “A day against ” – what a suitable name!
Light, pleasant, bright memory about sunny spring day. i must admit that only note i can characterized is pineapple. Thanks god, not melon. so melon’s lover, don’t waist your time 🙂
Composition of base notes ( cedar and sandalwood) gives green notes feeling which is so lovely and nice that you just smile when smelling your wrist 🙂
And it’s a purfect example what means “ozonic” – you can almost feel wind blowing from the bottle.
Longevity – not so poor how all complaining, i found that it doesn’t last long then the weather is dry, but if raining – the scent is super strong. Short in numbers : 4-6 h.
Overall : charming, unpretentious, but more solid daytime scent for warm season.

i received a lot of compliments for this fragrance, though i wished it stayed on longer. i bought it directly at galimard, and the packaging was different – the only thing i really hated about it was that the “gold” kept peeling off.

Galimard A CONTRE-JOUR is a classic (as odd as that may sound) shampoo-conditioner frag. Squeaky clean with a somewhat less clean, floral drydown, A CONTRE-JOUR numbers among the ranks of the zillion of other compositions in this class, the vast majority of which are used to scent hair products.
With startling frequency, these creations are being poured into perfume bottles and sold at huge mark-ups by nearly every perfume house. It’s rather amazing, actually, that people are willing to pay perfume prices—even niche prices!—to spray on their bodies scents that already waft off their hair whenever they emerge from the shower or bath.
That said, for some reason Galimard, a house which remarkably pre-dates the French revolution, does not charge niche prices for its wares, so this might be a good place to acquire your coveted shampoo-conditioner frags!

Extremely light, fresh, and cool- A Contre Jour would be perfect for hot weather because it’s practically a body spray (even lighter than that, actually). It smells very strongly of alcohol at first and then I love the melon and cyclamen in the top notes and the plum and pineapple but, as another reviewer mentioned, they’re all gone in a flash and I can barely smell anything after the lightning-fast dry down. It was very pretty while it lasted, though. This would probably be good for a younger girl, who doesn’t like heavy perfume and wants a light fruity scent that isn’t like all the other fruity-florals out there. This one would be one of my favorites if it lasted longer!

I had the chance to go to Grasse and test Galimard, Molinard and Fragonard! What an olfactive experience!
A Contre Jour was the first to test at Galimard since it’s maybe their lightest feminine. I must say I liked it. Not my usual type of perfume, but very pleasant in hot weather. I’m happy that pineapple is not so noticeable here. It’s a fruity mellow scent with a good base to fix. It smells like a bunch of ripe fruits in summer and it stays quite close to the skin. Lasting power is not so bad. All in all a lovely fresh sweet scent for summer, but not the typical fake fruity scent! It is actually quite refined.

it develops REALY quickly. after 5 min. all i can smell is base notes and only when i dip my nose into my skin. i didnt even catch mid ones. kterhark was polite when calling it soft whisper 🙂

This was my second favorite from my sample pack, and thus, is not your typical fruit loop floral, which is a genre I usually pan.
This wore like a soft whisper on me, almost like a cherub’s kiss. It was so delicate and sweet that I couldn’t help but fall in love with it. This is another one I made last as long as possible. The pineapple is restrained (this note can get stinky sweet),and the jasmine/rose/plum combo was solid and warm.
Again, dry down was fantastic, although short lived. I didn’t get much longevity from this, and I am curious to see how the EDP compares. Lovely, lovely, lovely
